  • Video: ‘God fighting Buhari like he fought Pharaoh for killing 1000 Muslims’ – Dokubo

Former militant leader, Asari Dokubo has said President Muhammadu Buhari was suffering for allegedly killing one thousand innocent Muslims.

He said that this is the reason no doctor has been able to diagnose his ailment.

Asari said the hands of God are on Buhari just as they were on Pharoah.

Asari also said the name of the disease affecting President Buhari is ‘hale and hearty.’

According to the ex-MEND leader, every government official who goes to London to see President Buhari returns to the media to say that he is hale and hearty.

He said they have all failed to disclosed what ailment he is suffering from.

He said, “As God first of afflicted Pharaoh with the deafness of the ear and deafness of the heart, God also first of all, afflicted Buhari with deafness of the ear.

”He was not sick, later they said he has an ear infection like Pharoah. Allah inflicted him with ear problem.

”We are talking of ear problem and we heard of another sickness and the name of that sickness is hale and hearty. Have you heard of such sickness before, hale and hearty?

”He ran to London, stayed and stayed and he came back. Went back again, stayed and stayed, hale and hearty. Now they said his sickness is an ‘unknown sickness’ and that is the name of another sickness. They said all the doctors have diagnose him, he has gone through all the medical tests and yet, they don’t know what he is suffering from.

”The hands of God is against the wicked. God does not sleep. He does not slumber. He sees everything. A man who killed over 1000 Shea Muslims because they disagreed with him. Men, women and children and we keep on fighting God because of this man.

”The power of God cannot be stopped by anyone who is supporting this calamity. Buhari is bloody.”

Ekiti State Governor and Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Governors’ Forum, Ayodele Fayose, has urged Nigerians to embrace peace, love, and understanding for one another.

In an Eid-el-Fitri message to Nigerians, the governor described fasting as a religious obligation observed to draw one near to Allah, “who is the origin of love, peace, and unity.”

  • Eid-el-Fitri celebrations: Ambode hosts Muslims in 20 centres

Governor of Akinwunmi Ambode Lagos State on Friday said his administration would host Muslims in 20 centres across the state for the Eid-el-Fitri celebration as part of its strategy to bring about bonding among the people and enhance community participation in governance.

Speaking at the Lagos House where he received members of the Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs on a courtesy visit, Ambode said he had observed that people travel from far and near to celebrate with the First Family during festivities.

The decision to host Muslims in various centres across the state was basically to address such trend on one hand, he said; and also to give the greater number of people the sense of participation in governance, on the other hand.

He said: “Like you are aware, we intend to celebrate the Ramadan in the various communities and I need to make some explanations here.

Before now, any time we are having festivities — maybe Ramadan, Christmas, New Year and so on –people converge at the State House to greet the First Family.

I found out that sometimes, they might spend N3,000 to get here and go home with maybe N500. So, in my own little wisdom, I think they should remain in their communities and celebrate.

The traditional rulers, chief imams and every other person will celebrate the Ramadan and recital of Quran in their communities.

We must practice community governance, using our different platforms to celebrate ourselves,” Ambode explained.

He promised to visist some of the centres to celebrate with the people and urged the traditional rulers, community leaders, religious leaders, among others, to also join in the celebration.

Responding to a request to intervene in the crisis rocking the Lagos State Polytechnic, Governor Ambode said it was gratifying to announce that academic activities would resume in the institution immediately after the Eid-el-Fitri holiday.

TheNewsGuru.com reports that Federal Government had on Thursday declared Monday and Tuesday (June 26 & 27) public holidays to mark this year’s end of Ramadan fast.

  • Imam stops angry Muslims from assailing London van suspect

An imam intervened to stop local residents from beating a man accused of driving into people on Monday outside a London mosque after Ramadan prayers.

The suspect was yanked from the cab of his van by a furious crowd as he sought to reverse and escape after injuring 10 people in what police said was a deliberate attack on Muslims that was being treated as terrorism.

The man was being held down, beaten and kicked when Muslim cleric Mohammed Mahmoud stepped in to plead with people just to restrain him until police arrived.

“We found that a group of people quickly started to collect around him, around the assailant and some tried to hit him either with kicks or punches.

“ By God’s grace we managed to surround him and to protect him from any harm,’’ Mahmoud said.

“We managed to extinguish any flames of anger or mob rule that might have taken charge,’’ he told reporters, adding he was acting with “a group of mature brothers’’.

The suspect had been shouting earlier “I’ve done my bit’’, said Toufik Kacimi, the chief executive of the nearby Muslim Welfare House community centre, who praised the imam’s courage.

“The imam’s bravery and courage helped calm the immediate situation after the incident and prevented further injuries and potential loss of life,’’ he said.

If confirmed by authorities as terrorism, this would be the fourth such attack in Britain since March and the third to involve a vehicle driven at pedestrians.

The suspect was described by police as a 48-year-old white man, who was taken into custody.

“I’ve just seen sheer pandemonium people on the floor screaming, people bleeding, I’ve seen the guy being held on the floor,’’ Ibn Oman told Reuters at the scene.

Mahmoud called on the incensed worshippers not to commit a sin during the holy fasting month of Ramadan.

“The imam came from the mosque and he said, ‘Listen we are fasting, this is Ramadan, we are not supposed to do these kinds of things so please step back,’’’ said Mohammed, a 29-year-old cafe owner who was one of three men who held the suspect down.

“For that reason this guy is still alive today,’’ he added.

“He tried to run away but we brought him down, he would’ve died because so many people were punching him,’’ an eyewitness who gave his name as Abdul said.

There were angrier scenes as police arrived and protected the accused man as he was put into a police vehicle.

The van had hit people assisting an elderly man who had collapsed, and who later died.

It was not clear if he died because of the attack

The attack came over two weeks after three Islamist militants drove into pedestrians on London Bridge and stabbed people at nearby restaurants and bars, killing eight.

Since then incidents of hate crime have risen, police said.
