UCL: Liverpool, Bayern, Napoli defeat opponents with high score margin

Poland import Lewandowski scored for Barcelona to put the scores at 2-2 but the resilient away side Robin Gosens got the third goal to show they meant business.

Lewandowski again scored through a powerful header to restore parity for the home side as they settled for a 3-3 draw at camp Nou.

Liverpool showed the stuff they were made off by coming back from a goal down to put seven goals past Rangers FC in the battle of Great Britain.

Rangers forward, Scot Artfield scored the opener in the 17th minute but Liverpool’s Roberto Firminio equalized on the 24th minute.

The amazing story of Giovanni Simeone

Napoli demolished Liverpool 4-1 with three goals in the first half. But even this does not reflect the whole catastrophe that is happening in the defense of the Merseysiders.

    Simeone Jr

The Champions League for Gio Simeone was not just a dream, but an obsession. So much so that he got a wrist tattoo with an eight star ball at the age of 14. But his famous dad Diego Simeone did not want to take the little one to the tattoo artist, and Gio persuaded his mother with all his prayers. «I was obsessed, I wanted to get there. When I got the tattoo, I told myself that my dream would be to score in the Champions League and kiss the tattoo.»

The beginning of the first European night for Cholito did not inspire much hope for the realization of a dream. The first Argentine to wear a Napoli shirt since the stadium was renamed after Saint Diego Maradona started the match from the bench.

At the 41st minute, the heart stops: Osimhen’s injury. Spalletti calls Simeone, sets up the match, looking him straight in the eyes, instead of high five, he holds his hand and says: «Go!»

    How did it happen

44th minute: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia throws the ball past Trent, flies into the box, beats Joe Gomez – and gives out a gorgeous pass to the center, Simeone is alone there – this is a goal. 3:0 and 3 minutes to fulfill the dream of a lifetime.

Gio clutches his head, his knees buckling in excitement. He trembles and sobs. He spreads his arms to the sides and kisses his wrist, where a slightly worn-out ball of stars flaunts. Now he will count them countless times, remembering the first time he touched them with his lips. The dream came true!

«Dad told me I could do it» and yesterday Cholo and Cholito became the sixth father and son couple to score in Europe’s top competition.

Four years ago, Gio had already closed one gestalt – he dreamed of scoring a goal in a match for the national team. Lionel Scaloni, who temporarily took over the national team after the failed World Cup, collected an experimental squad without the main stars, for a friendly game with Guatemala, in which there was a place for Giovanni Simeone. Naturally, the guy did not delay the realization of his dream and also scored in his debut match.

Interestingly, as a child, Giovanni performed the «six», for his passion for the game and intransigence, he justified the nickname Cholito he inherited, but Diego saw the striker in his son. «You have a strong shot, go ahead and score goals» – Simeone Jr. recalls the words of his father.

Transfer: Victor Osimhen’s agent in talks with Arsenal

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is in line for a move to Arsenal this summer.

According to Goal.com, the centre-forward’s agent flew into London last week to conduct meetings regarding his client’s future.

The agent met face to face with Arsenal technical director Edu about a possible move to the London club.

However, the source states that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is not in the mood to sell his prized asset on the cheap.

He will demand a fee of more than £68 million, which makes any move to Arsenal very difficult to envision.

Napoli are in the Champions League for next season, while Arsenal will be playing Europa League football, which further complicates the move.
