    Nigerian singer, Martins Justice, popularly known as J. Martins, on Sunday announced the death of his mother.

    The 48-year-old via his verified Instagram page, expressed gratitude to God for the life his mother lived.

    “Oh give thanks unto the Lord. For he is good and His mercies endureth forever. The Lord gave. The Lord has taken. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Amen,” he wrote.

    The singer while thanking his fans and well-wishers for their support in advace, called on his fans, to pray for himself and his siblings during this difficult time.

    Nigerian music icon Tiwa Savage has revealed her ambitious plans to establish a global empire, empowering future generations of artists and solidifying her position alongside other self-made women worldwide.

    Tiwa Savage in an exclusive interview with Forbes, shared her comprehensive plan, which includes the establishment of a school or scholarship program dedicated to teaching music to emerging artists.

    According to the songtress, the initiative which provide a platform for nurturing talent, equipping aspiring musicians with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the competitive music landscape.

    Reminiscing on  her teenage days during school time, Tiwa said;

    “When I was in school, there were basic subjects like math, English, and there were also electives like sports, drama, music – I chose drama and just even from earlier on, I knew that I had a gift for acting. Even when I started my music career, I knew, at some point, I was going to go back into that field,”

    “Growing up in Nigeria, then moving to the United Kingdom and studying jazz in America, I absorbed different musical influences,” she explains.

    “I can do a jazz record, a garage song, or an Afrobeats track, and it all feels authentic. I have lived these experiences.”

    Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable has disclosed that reason his Instagram name is ‘Elizabeth Joyce’.

    Portable, during a recent chat with content creator Egungun of Lagos during a car ride, revealed that he created the account while attempting to learn internet fraud, popularly known as Yahoo Yahoo.

    The singer added that he halted his dream of becoming a ‘Yahoo boy’ after he became famous.

    He said, “To be honest with you, I created a Facebook and Instagram account when I wanted to learn internet fraud (Yahoo).

    “It didn’t work out, but that was why I initially opened the account.

    “Later, when I heard that people were looking for me because I had become successful, I went back to edit the account. I removed the foreigner’s picture I had used. Na working account.”

    Portable took to Instagram to showcase his impressive online presence, sharing a screenshot of his professional dashboard, which revealed a staggering 59 million views over the past 30 days.

    Recall that on Monday, Portable shared a sneak peek of his forthcoming EP ‘Ogo Wanted’ on Instagram, which promises to detail his recent drama with the Ogun State government.

    Recall that Portable’s rise to fame began with the massive success of his hit single “Zazu Zeh” in December 2021, which featured music heavyweight Olamide and popular dancer Poco Lee.

    Portable set to release new EP, “Ogo Wanted”

    Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, is set to release a new EP titled “Ogo Wanted”, which promises to detail his recent drama with the Ogun State government.

    The singer has been in the news lately for his alleged run-ins with the state government, and it seems he’s now ready to tell his side of the story through music.

    Portable shared a sneak peek of his forthcoming EP ‘Ogo Wanted’ on Instagram, confidently asserting that his musical success generates more wealth than the fraudulent activities of Yahoo boys.

    TheNewsGuru reported that the singer had last week been declared wanted by the police for assaulting some Ogun State officials.

    He later turned himself in at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba and was transported to Ogun State Police headquarters.

    However, he was arraigned to court on Friday on a  five-count charges bordering on conspiracy, assault, and restriction, armed with cutlasses and guns, and conduct likely to cause harm. The singer pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted a bail sum of two million naira with a surety with a similar amount with the case been adjourned till March 5 for further proceedings.

    “Sometimes I want to be a troll on the internet, probably with a fake page so that when people insult me, I won’t feel bad because I do the same,” she said, eliciting laughter from the hosts.

    The ‘Rush’ crooner further disclose that she had a whole troll page before she became famous, adding that she also use to be a Nicki Minaj fan.

    “I did have a troll page before I became Ayra Starr. I had a Nicki Minaj fan page too, I used to be a troll, so I feel like I’ve been there, done that, but I feel like it’d fit me small. I respect it so much, I think I could use my own Ayra Starr page. Trolling would be so fun,” she revealed.

    Omowunmi, the wife of late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad has shared a detailed account of his final moments before his tragic passing on September 12, 2023.

    Wunmi, In a heart-wrenching interview on TVC’s “Your View” show, made an emotional revelation into the events leading up to Mohbad’s untimely death.

    According to her, Mohbad had received injection from a nurse to treat his wounds. The nurse had administered Tetanus and other medications, but Mohbad’s reaction was severe.

    However, after the third injection, he began to feel unwell.

    “The nurse examined the wounded part, and I informed her that my husband was an ulcer patient, so she should be careful with what she administered. I asked about the inj£ct!ons, and she mentioned tetanus and other medications. She gave him the first and second inj£ct!ons without issue, but when she administered the third, he immediately asked her to take it out, saying he needed to throw up and urinate.”

    Wunmi described how she helped Mohbad to the restroom, where he v0m!t£d and ur!n@ted. However, upon returning, he suddenly fell and began screaming for water.

    “He fell and screamed for water, saying his heart was burning,” Wunmi recounted. “We poured water on him, and he asked for the air conditioner because he was feeling extremely hot inside. He started having goosebumps and continued throwing up, so we moved him to Liam’s room, where there was an AC. Still, he was uncomfortable, so we sought help from a neighbor to take him to the hospital because his car was faulty.”

    As they rushed Mohbad to the hospital in their neighbor’s car, they had to improvise due to traffic.

    With no other option, they transported him to the hospital on a motorcycle.

    Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, Mohbad’s condition proved fatal. He was pronounced dea by doctor’s upon arrival.

    Mohbad’s passing has left a void in the music industry, and fans continue to mourn his loss.

    Portable makes heartfelt request to Pasuma after being granted 2 million naira bail

    Controversial Nigerian singer,  Portable has taken to social media to share a heartfelt conversation with Fuji legend Pasuma, where he begged the veteran musician to take him to Mecca.

    The request has sparked a mix of reactions from fans and followers.

    In the chat, shared on social media, Portable humbly asked Pasuma to take him to Mecca, saying “I wan go thank God” (I want to go thank God).

    Recall that the controversial singer has been in the news for assaulting the officials of  Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development who visited his bar in Sango Ota to enforce regulatory compliance on the 5th of February, 20225.

    He was later declared wanted by the Ogun State government.

    Portable, after calling himself a “mad man” and alleged he was receiving treatment at a psychiatric hospital, turned himself in on Wednesday at the Lagos State Criminal Investigations Department and was later handed over to the Ogun State Police Headquarters.

    However, Portable was arraigned to Isabo Magistrate Court in Abeokuta yesterday on a five count including conspiracy, assault, and being armed with cutlasses and guns.

    Magistrate O. L. Oke granted Portable’s bail at N2 million and ordered him to provide a surety with a similar amount, adjourning the case until March 5 for further proceedings.

    Portable reacts to arrest warrant, says it’s a plot to attack him

    Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has responded to the arrest warrant issued against him by the Ogun State Police Command.

    TheNewsGuru earlier reported that police declared Portable wanted for his alleged involvement in the assault on Ogun State government officials who were carrying out their lawful duties.

    However, in a series of posts on his Instagram story, Portable denied the allegations against him, claiming that the arrest warrant was a plot to attack him.

    He maintained that he was innocent and that the authorities were trying to frame him.

    “I didn’t k!ll anybody. If anything happens to me, there will be trouble. They should post the evidence of where I fought them at my bar. They are evil people, and they are lying against me. Just kill me and let everywhere scatter,” he wrote.

    Portable’s reaction comes after the Ogun State Police Command issued a statement declaring him wanted for his alleged role in the assault on the government officials.

    The police had stated that Portable’s actions were unacceptable and that he would be brought to justice for his alleged crimes.

    Despite the police’s claims, Portable remains adamant that he is innocent and that the arrest warrant is a ploy to discredit him.

    He has called on his fans and supporters to remain calm and to trust that he will be vindicated in the end.

    However, in another post, Portable begged the Ogun State government to forgive him, claiming that his actions were a result of a spiritual attack that he was under at the time.

    “All this evil thing wey dey happen to me na spiritual attack. God save me. I’m facing a lot of sicknesses all over my body. I’m taking care of myself. Pain in my body. Make Ogun State government forgive me.”
