    Fans of Nigerian singer and rapper, Asake have taken to social media to express concern over his new look following a viral video.

    This comes after the singer on Saturday, shared footage of himself alone in the studio, teasing his upcoming project.

    However, what caught the attention of many fans were the Afrobeat sensation’s drastically hairstyle change, which was noticeably shorter.

    Asake, known for his unique sound and style, had become synonymous with his dreadlocks.

    The singer’s sudden appearance has left many fans worried  and wondering what inspired the transformation.

    The concerns is coming weeks after the Grammy-nominated artiste removed YBNL, his record label, from his bio and added “creative director”.

    The 29-year-old singer also unfollowed everyone on the platform.

    Nigerian singer, Teni, and her sister Teju have taken to social media to pay tribute to their late father, Brigadier-General Simeon Apata, who was assassinated 30 years ago.

    Teni via her Instagram page shared a heartfelt message, honouring her father’s memory as a hero and icon. She said, “On this day, Nigeria stood still! My hero was taken from us. Keep resting gallant soldier, Apata!!!. My father, an icon, philanthropist, one of a kind. Your legacy will live forever.”

    In another post, the singer shared painful memories surrounding their father’s untimely death, revealing how a two-week-old baby was used as bait in the tragic incident.

    Teju, reflected on the lasting impact of his death on their family, noting that it stirred an emotional void.

    Teni’s sister, Niniola, offered comforting words to Teju, advising her to look into the mirror and see their father’s reflection in herself.

    In her tribute, Teju expressed the pain of losing her father, saying, “30 years ago you were assassinated in your home in front of your wife and children. In front of your 2 weeks old baby used as bait.. I never got a chance to take a picture with you.

    “But when I spoke to my older sister @officialniniola yesterday said, look in the mirror, every time you see yourself you see him. That one hit deep. Rest in peace Simeon Olaosebikan Apata.”

    American singer and actress, Chloe Bailey has opened up about her relationship with Grammy award winning singer, Burna Boy.

    TheNewsGuru reports that the ‘Ye’ crooner, and the 26-year-old American star sparked dating speculations during the festive period in December 2024, after they were spotted together at Obi’s House, a nightlife club in Lagos.

    Speaking about the speculations in a recent interview on the Breakfast Club podcast, Bailey said, she’s chosing not to confirm or deny the dating rumours.

    She, however, said she is focused on her positive experiences in Nigeria.

    “Nigeria was so beautiful. I had the best time. I ate some good food. I ate pepper soup. I ate some spicy chicken. It was really good. At the nightlife? It was so good. There were so many lights,” she said.

    “I am a grown woman. I had a great time in Nigeria. He is a grown man just like I am a grown woman”.

    “It is my life. It is what I signed up for. I can only expect it. It is just about how I handle it and myself. I do not think it should ever be pissing towards people asking me.”

    Nigerian singer, Spyro has expressed frustration over the challenges he faces daily as a celebrity in Lagos.

    Speaking via Instagram, the singer lamented that people are always begging him to give them money.

    He revealed how he was insulted by a man whom he had promised to help the next day because he did not have the means.

    Spyro revealed that he spends a minimum of ₦100,000 whenever he leaves his house and estimated that he spends around ₦15 million annually on helping others.

    He explained that he faces constant demands for financial assistance, whether in public, at church, or even online.

    The singer expressed his appreciation for his colleagues who face similar challenges, calling them the “real MVPs.”

    He wrote, “It’s really hard being a celebrity in Lagos. I told a guy I didn’t have anything and would see him the next day. He rained insults on me. Every day I step out of my house, I spend a minimum of N100k on gifts. Now let’s do the maths: let’s say I go out three times a week, that’s N300k per week, making N1.2m per month, and that’s about N15 million a year, Kilode.

    “If I enter a restaurant, the bill waits for me outside; I enter the church, the same thing… Enter the estate, the same; carry phone enter online, na the same thing.

    “Everybody wants to take, but nobody wants to give, and nobody thinks about how you are faring.

    “S/O to every one of my colleagues out there going through this; you’re all the real MVPs and I celebrate you.”

    Popular Nigerian singer, Otor set to tie the knot with three women

    A Delta-based highlife singer, Arube Otor has taken to social media to announce his wedding to three women on the same day.

    TheNewsGuru reports that the singer via his Facebook page on January 2nd, shared photos of the marriage invitation, which featured a pre-wedding shoot with his three wives-to-be.

    According to the invitation, the wedding which is set for January 19, 2025, will hold at the Anglican Church Field, London Base, Uzere Kingdom, Isoko South LGA, Delta.

    Otor invited the public to attend his wedding ceremony.

    “You all are specially invited to my marriage ceremony coming up January 19th 2025. Check I.V for more information God bless you all as you come. Amen,” he wrote.

    Otor’s three wives-to-be hail from different parts of Delta state. Oghenekome is from Lagos-Iyede in Ndokwa East LGA, while Ewoma and Oghenekaro are from Oruamudhu Ozoro Kingdom in Isoko North LGA, and Uroto Quarter, Ozoro Kingdom in Isoko North LGA, respectively.

    Otor, from Uzere Kingdom, is a celebrated highlife singer who has been active in the music scene for over 30 years.

     Nigerian singer, Michael Adebayo, professionally known as Ruger, has shared a testimony about his encounter with God at his childhood church, Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) in Lagos.

    The ‘Asiwaju’ hitmaker made the disclosure whilst attending the church’s crossover service, a tradition he said he had missed for two years due to being outside the country.

    The singer said because of his determination to to be in church this year, he instructed his manager to cancel any scheduled shows that might conflict with the service.

    Ruger, who was overcome with emotion, said he shed tears for the first time in four years after his encounter with God.

    He also expressed his gratitude to God, the congregation, and the church authority for their spiritual guidance and support.

    “Happy New Year to everybody. Today, I am so happy to be here. Today, my manager texted me and told me that I have one show tonight. And I told him to cancel it that I did not care,” he said.

    “I have to be in church because in 2021, I was in church here. I missed the crossover service for 2022 and 2023 because I was outside the country. I told my manager to close all shows before the crossover service because I would not miss it. Whatever it is, we are not taking it,” he said.

    “I thank God. I have not cried in like four years. Today, I saw God again, and I cried. I thank God for my life. I thank God for everybody here. I thank God for everybody who has nurtured me since I started in this church.

    “This is a very caring church. Because, if this church is not great, great people would not come out of this church.”

    The self-styled Area Fada, whose real name is Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa via the microblogging platform, X formerly Twitter shared a screenshot of the bill whose owner he noted must be related to President Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, or APC members.

    He added that the man must also have close ties with the President and those of his friends who have four Rolls Royce and a Honda, as they are the only people who can afford such.

    “Someone’s bill last nite. Must be Seyi Tinubu’s friends & APC members, including a PBAT friend who has four Rolls Royces & a Honda. They are the only people who can afford it”.

    A huge reward of ₦5 million has been announced for anyone who finds and returns the missing phone of popular Afrobeat singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun better known as Wizkid.

    TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports that the singer’s phone reportedly went missing on Saturday night during his surprise appearance at the Nativeland concert held at Sol Beach, Elegushi, Lagos.

    DJ Tunez, during the event made an announcement from the stage, explaining that the 34-year-old singe’s  phone had fallen during his energetic performance.

    While my brother Wizkid was performing, his phone dropped. Anybody who finds Wizkid’s phone, there’s ₦5 million waiting. It’s my boss’s phone. Please, if you find it, bring it to me,” DJ Tunez declared to the crowd.

    He later reiterated the appeal on social media, posting on X (formerly Twitter): “I’m gooooooood! Please if you find Machala’s phone hit me up! Thank you!”

    Speed Darlington granted bail after one month behind bars

    Popular Nigerian rapper, Speed Darlington has been granted bail after spending nearly a month in police custody.

    TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports that the legal counsel for popular controversial rapper Stan Alieke, announced the development in an Instagram Story on Monday, saying, “Apki has been granted bail by the court,” without providing further details.

    Recall, Alieke, had disclosed that the singer was re-arrested in Owerri, Imo state for jumping bail.

    In October, Darlington was detained after his colleague Burna Boy filed a petition against him, for questioning the authenticity of Burna Boy’s Grammy award, linking the A-list artiste to embattled music mogul Sean Combs, known as P Diddy or Puff Daddy.

    Alieke said the singer was given a date to report back but was unable to do so due to a medical emergency that required him to travel abroad for treatment.

    The lawyer stressed that Darlington had no intention to jump bail, as he had arranged to return to Abuja after his performance at Owerri.

    Nigerian singer, Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck, has sparked concern after the stage collapsed on him during a performance at SoL Beach, Elegushi area of Lagos State.

    TheNewsGuru.com learnt that the event, powered by Nativeland, turned chaotic after the structure collapsed while the rapper was entertaining fans, causing panic among attendees.

    Following the stage collapse, concerned netizens flooded social media, praying for the safety of the performers and team members.
