    Nini opens up on rumour of engagement to colleague, Saga

    Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Anita Singh, a.k.a. Nini, has broken the silence following the rumour of her engagement to a colleague, Saga.

    Recall that, news about two BBNaija stars getting engaged made rounds online and sparked controversy among fans.

    Fans and netizens had insisted that the rumours about Nini and Saga were true, and claimed that they had already gotten engaged.

    However, the 27-year-old BBNaija star has responded to the rumours. She shared a post on her Instagram story, showing off her left fingers and no ring was spotted on any finger.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Nini is an economist and fashion entrepreneur born and raised in Nigeria. She has four siblings and a supportive mother.

    She currently lives in Abuja and is a graduate of the University of Abuja. Her hobbies include cleaning, cooking, travelling and photography.

    Recall that the romance between the “Shine Ya Eye” housemates (Saga and Nini) made big headlines during the just concluded Big Brother Naija reality TV show.

    Saga appeared to be hopelessly in love with Nini while Nini seemed to be toying with his emotions.

    Now after the show, the reality is beginning to materialise as Nini in a chat with Potpourri revealed that Saga never made the move.

    “First of all, I was not playing hard to get for Saga. We had a mutual friendship. Saga never asked me out, so there was no playing hard to get because nobody wanted to get me, and Saga never said he wanted to date me. So, I was not playing hard to get,” she declared.

    But some people felt Nini kept Saga at bay by constantly mentioning her boyfriend outside the Biggie’s House.

    “I never kept on mentioning I had a boyfriend to Saga, because there was absolutely no need for that, and that is because Saga understood. We understood our friendship and boundaries, and there was absolutely no need for me to remind him that I had a boyfriend.

    “We both knew that, and he was a very respectful man to me, and there was no need for me to always say that to him because he respected the boundaries, and I respected his boundaries, so we were good,” she defended herself.

    Both are in the real world now and Nini had declared, “My relationship with Saga is the same, we are still very good friends, and yes, we are great.“

    Former Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye housemate, Nini Singh, aka Nini has said she is not disappointed at not winning the reality TV show.

     

    Speaking in a chat with TheNewsGuru, the light skinned beauty said:”I wasn’t disappointed I didn’t emerge the winner. I didn’t even know I would stay till the ninth week. My kind of personality, I actually love to keep to myself.I know it’s a game, it’s a 50-50 chance. There were 26 other contestants, I didn’t think I was better than the other people. Every week I wasn’t evicted, I saw talents leave the show. I knew it could have been me, so I wasn’t disappointed”.

     

    Nini who has been featured in a few comedy skits also stated that she never knew she could act till she participated in the reality TV show.

    “I never knew I could act until I went to Big Brother Naija and people said I was a good actress. It’s something I just don’t want to dive in.May be I will test the waters but not something I want to dive in right now.I am very open to testing waters when the opportunity comes”.

    Recently evicted Big Brother Naija housemate, Anita Singh, popularly called Nini, has stated that she felt bad for making her friend, Saga, cry during the competition.

    TheNewsGuru recalls that days before she was evicted, Nini was taken to a secret location in the house and made to pretend like she had left the competition. This made Saga to cry and put him in a bad mood throughout her absence.’

    In an interview with Punch, Nini said, “I felt like I overdid it by putting the effects and certain thoughts in his head. But, I had to do a good job (with the task) because Big Brother had earlier punished us for Saga failing his task. I knew I was going to come back (to him) and let him know I had to do it for us because we did not want any more punishment from Biggie. I actually felt bad and I told Big Brother that he was punishing Saga. But at that point, I couldn’t do anything but complete the task.”

     

    On if she was interested in pursuing a romantic relationship with Saga, she said, “Saga and I have not had any conversation about dating each other, so I have not thought about it. But, if we ever get to have that conversation; maybe, I would see our friendship in that light. In terms of the qualities I like about him, Saga is very attentive, caring and very intelligent. He is also very funny and spontaneous.”

    Evicted Big Brother Naija, BBNaija housemate, Saga has opened up on moments shared with Nini in the house.

    TheNewsGuru recalls that Saga and Nini were really close in the house which had viewers questioning their ‘friendship’.

    They spent time together under the duvet and slept on the same bed all day before their eviction.

    There were suspicions that things were happening more than the camera showed the viewers.

    However, Saga speaking with Ebuka during his interview on African Magic, said nothing more than what viewers saw happened.

    According to him, there were boundaries because Nini had a boyfriend and he didn’t cross it.

    “I’ll admit it was difficult at first to accept that she has a boyfriend and there’s no way I stand a chance but later I got used to it.

    “I wondered what her boyfriend was thinking of us being together and in bed at all times, but there was always a line, we never did anything,” he said.

    Saga said that his friendship with Nini is not that deep, adding that he would at least try to maintain the friendship.

    Following the eviction of Queen, Nini, and Saga, Biggie has given a task to the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ housemates Pere and Angel to battle for the grand finale.

    The organisers of the show had pranked the housemates by carrying out a fake eviction on Pere and Angel.

    With their fake eviction, Pere and Angel are now up against each other to battle for a spot in the grand finale.

    Biggie has tasked the duo who have now been isolated in a ‘white room’ in the BBNaija house, to battle their way back into the show through the ‘trucks and screwdrivers’ game.

    While instructing the fake evicted housemates on how to carry out the task, Biggie explained the terms and conditions of the game, noting that the loser would go home while the winner will have a chance to join the race in becoming the winner of the competition.

    Biggie said, “Welcome to the most intense game you’ve ever played, it is a game of trucks and screwdrivers, this game can only have one winner as decided by Big Brother.

    “Win the game and you walk back into the house as a finalist, competing for the grand prize, losing means eviction, you go home as one who almost made it to the finale.

    “Now, listen carefully, placed in front of you are two identical toys, one for you Pere, and the other is for you, Angel. Also in front of you is a single green bulb as you can see the bulb is switched on, for now, we shall switch the bulb off.

    Biggie continued, “The next time you see the bulb switch on, you must unscrew and disassemble your toy truck.

    “There is a reference image of the disassemble toy to guide you. You are only allowed to work as long as the green bulb is on. If the bulb goes off and you continue working, you may be penalized.

    “In all, there should be 23 Screws and 54 body parts after you have disassembled the truck.

    “A note of warning, be very careful not to break the toy part. You may be penalized if you do so. Penalty may be as intense as you losing out the game completely. The first housemate to complete this task and say so wins.”

    Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye housemate, Nini, said that she only wants friendship from Saga and nothing more.

    She made this known on Friday night, day 62 of the show, as the duo talked about their earnings in the house.

    Nini told Saga, “You have won like how many millions in this house? You’re supposed to give me 30 per cent.”

    “I got you,” Saga said.

    “See you saying I got you. Sweet mouth, I don’t want your money,” Nini said.

    Saga said, “I may give it to you.”

    Nini, however, maintained that she did not want his money and it was only a joke.

    “You don’t want my money. Then what do you want from me?” Saga asked.

    Nini answered, “Nothing. Nice friendship and stop being annoying.”

    Though Saga stated that he has no relationship outside the house, it appeared that he may be pursuing one in the show, with Nini.

    Nini and Saga are undoubtedly one of the closest duos in the house and Saga had made it known that he loved her beyond friendship level.

    However, their ‘ship’ is one of unreciprocated love because Nini refuses to agree that they are more than friends as she always says that she has a boyfriend outside the house.

    Big Brother Naija season 6 housemate, Saga, has said what he planned to do after Biggie instructed housemates to pack Nini’s belongings and take them to the storeroom.

    Saga during a chat with Nini on Friday told her that he missed her smell while she was away.

    He further revealed that he had wanted to steal her cloth so he could sniff it as that seemed to be the only consolation he had.

    “Honestly I missed your smell. I felt like I was going crazy and then when Biggie instructed that we packed your things, I planned to steal your cloth so I can be sniffing it.

    “But then, I knew the viewer’s outside would be thinking that I’m a freak, so I planned to be doing that inside the toilet. I also have your sucks with me,” he said.

    Recall that Biggie had during the week gave Nini a secret task which involved her leaving the house to a secret room for 24 hours.

    Her absence was greatly felt by the housemates especially Saga who was seen crying because he thought Nini requested for a voluntary exit.

    He made this known while discussing with Pere, stating that the prank made him display strong emotions on life television

    According to pere, he said, “I’m happy to see her but I’m still angry. I’m not happy because I even felt genuine emotions, I can’t lie. I’m not happy that I had to just display such emotions on TV like that, for nothing. That’s why I just shut up my mouth. I didn’t want to talk too much”. Reacting to his statement, Pere in return said, “At some point, I knew it was a prank not until Whitemoney started talking about fake housemates, I bought it.

    “If Nini was a fake housemate, I would have enrolled in a psychiatric hospital. Somebody I’ve been talking to 24/7 and for 8 weeks, I won’t know that person is fake? I didn’t even buy that one for one second.” Saga responding to Pere’s statement said he has been played and then questions his mental state.

    Big Brother Naija, BBNaija season 6 housemate, Saga has expressed joy over Nini’s re-emergence to the house.

    Recall that Nini left the house for 24hours following instruction by Biggie to carry out a secret task.

    Her disappearance made Saga sad as he cried and didn’t mingle with other housemates.

    However, she appeared later on Thursday morning, stunning housemate who thought she’s been evicted as a fake housemate.

    Saga, who was so happy, though confused, begged Nini to reveal to him what happened and where she had been.

    Nini maintained that she’s been in the house, even as she recounted when he was crying and other happenings in the house yesterday.

    Saga said: “I’m happy to see you, where have you been?

    “We searched for you everywhere, don’t say you were in this house or your Edo people used witchcraft to hide you.

    “It wasn’t funny when you were not around, that’s why I cried. So you’re going to tell me what happened because I don’t believe you’ve become invisible.”

    Responding, Nini did not disclose her secret task to him as she insisted she had been in the house.

    Nini said: “I’ve been here in the house, You didn’t search, I saw you crying and wondered why you were crying.

    “I didn’t go anywhere like you think, be calm.”

    Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye housemates were surprised to see Nini back on her bed on Thursday, day 61 of the show.

    Throughout Wednesday, Nini disappeared from the house, based on a secret mission from Biggie, leaving the housemates worried and scared.

    In the early hours of Thursday, Nini came back into the house through the secret door upstairs and headed downstairs to keep her bag before slipping into bed.

    Pere, who fought hard to stay awake all night, was woken by her footsteps and as she went into the room, he hurriedly woke Saga, who was also lying down at the main lounge.

    The duo went to meet Nini on the bed and stared at her with bewildered looks on their face while Nini feigned sleep.

    They left the room to the lounge and Pere told Saga that he kept slipping in and out of sleep only for him to wake up and see Nini’s frame walking towards the room area and guessed that she may have come from upstairs.

    Saga said that he guessed it was a prank because it seemed she carried essential items like toothpaste and soap.

    The lover boy, however, later went to meet Nini and kept staring at her. Queen woke up with surprise and asked Nini where she had been.

    Nini said, “I’ve been here all the while. Haven’t you seen me all this while? I was there when you came to bed with Whitemoney.”

    At that point, Whitemoney and Emmanuel woke up and started staring at Nini, while Queen sat beside her on the bed.

    Angel later woke up and started gazing at Nini who asked them why they were acting weird.

    It is pertinent to note that the prank involves her feigning ignorance and acting like nothing happened when questioned about her whereabouts
