Kano: Tribunal judgment represent a miscarriage of justice – NNPP

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has described the judgement of the Kano State Election Petition Tribunal as laughable and represent a miscarriage of justice.

Abba Kawu Ali, the Acting National Chairman of the party,  via a statement, alleged that the tribunal unjustly subtracted 165,663 votes from the party’s result in order to award victory to the APC.

His words “The judgement is laughable and a slap on constitutionalism,”

According to him, his party will definitely appeal the judgement.

Ali urged all the supporters of the party and the people of the state to remain calm and law-abiding.

Recall that a three-man panel ordered the withdrawal of certificate of return, which INEC presented to Governor Yusuf, and directed a certificate of return to be issued to Yusuf Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress.

The court deducted 165,663 votes from Governor Yusuf total as invalid votes, stating that the ballot papers were not stamped or signed and therefore declared invalid.

NNPP writes INEC, Kwankwaso over logo, MoU

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has written to INEC, intimating the commission of alleged plans by some groups to change the party’s logo.

The party has also written to Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, its 2023 presidential candidate, to end the MoU it entered with the Kwankwasia group for the 2023 general elections.

The letters written to INEC and Kwankwaso were signed by Mr Peter Ogah, the party’s Solicitor, and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Lagos.

The letter to INEC is with the title: “Unauthorized and fraudulent plans to change the NNPP  logo and amend the party’s constitution.”

Recall that a faction of the party on Sept. 5, under the leadership of Major Agbo expelled its presidential candidate, Kwankwaso, over his alleged anti-party activities and misappropriation of party campaign funds.

Ogah informed INEC in the letter that its client had informed the firm of a news item that some individuals were taking steps to change the party’s logo and amend its constitution.

“We act as solicitors to the New Nigeria Peoples Party,  represented by Dr Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam, the Founder, and Dr Temitope Aluko, the Chairman. Board of Trustees and we write upon their instruction.

“Our client,  however,  informed us that while the board is preparing for the said meeting. their attention was drawn to a news item in the media.

‘Our client informed us that some individuals are taking steps to change the NNPP’s logo, and to also amend the party’s Constitution, hence the need to place this caveat immediately.

“The commission is hereby formally notified of the unauthorised and fraudulent plans by some individuals to change the NNPP  logo and amend its constitution.

“So that same must not be countenanced or registered by the commission as the alterations and amendments sort to be smuggled did not emanate from the party,” he said.

The solicitor thanked the commission, commending it for always ensuring the supremacy of the rule of law and justice.

Also, in the letter to Kwankwaso, Ogah said their clients had brought to its attention,  the MoU executed on Feb. 21, 2022, between the representatives of NNPP, and the representatives of the Kwankwasya and The National Movement (TNM) groups.

The solicitor said the MoU with Kwankwasya group was for the purpose of using the NNPP as a platform for the 2023 general elections.

According to him, it is our clients’ brief that the NNPP on its part was true to their word under the gentleman agreement by giving your groups the necessary facilities, support, and platform to contest in the 2023 general elections.

The solicitor noted that the general elections as planned had come and gone, and although the plan to take over power at the national level was not actualised, it was, however, a remarkable attempt.

“It is our clients’ further statement that the NNPP appreciates your groups for considering their party as a viable party to work within the just concluded general elections.

“Also this is to formally notify you and your groups that the said MOU entered on Feb. 21, 2022 under reference has expired upon the completion of the 2023 general elections,” he said.

Ogah said the party thanked them for their cooperation, and wished them and their groups the very best in their future political endeavours.

Just In: NNPP loses reps seat to APC in Kano at Tribunal

The Kano election petition tribunal has made a major decision over the Kura/Madobi/Garum-Malam federal constituency of Kano state. Led by Justice Flora Azinge, the three-member panel has declared Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso from the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the rightful winner.

This decision comes after upholding the petition filed by the APC candidate, which challenged the initial victory of Detti Yusuf Umar from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

The tribunal’s ruling hinged on a crucial factor. It found that Umar failed to resign from his position at Bayero University, Kano before accepting the party’s nomination.

This breach led to the invalidation of his victory. Initially, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Umar, representing NNPP, as the winner of the February 2023 national assembly elections, triumphing over Kwankwaso of the APC.

In response to the initial outcome, Kwankwaso chose to contest the validity of the election through a petition. This recent decision by the tribunal now establishes Kwankwaso as the official winner of the Kura/Madobi/Garum-Malam federal constituency in Kano state.

  • You don’t have constitutional powers to expel kwankwaso – NNPP

You don’t have constitutional powers to expel kwankwaso – NNPP

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) described the expulsion of its 2023 presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, from the party as a huge joke.

The acting National Publicity Secretary and Auditor of the party, Oladipo Johnson, made this known while addressing journalists on Tuesday in Abuja.

Johnson stated that the party was intact, and it has not been factionalised, as reported in some quarters, describing those who have suspended Kwankwaso as empty barons and jokers.

The NNPP spokesman asserted that those who have been suspended from the party, such as Boniface Aneibonam and Gilbert Major Agbo, do not have the constitutional powers to expel the former Governor of Kano State.

He said, “We wish to reiterate that our NWC is intact, except for the former National Publicity Secretary alongside his cohorts, who have been expelled by a properly constituted National Executive Committee (NEC). All our State Chairmen (37) and other MEMBERS of the NEC. The NNPP, since the dissolution of the Board of Trustees (BOT) in 2022 publicly in the presence of INEC and the Media, has not constituted a new Board. The BOT is not what one person can sit in one corner to constitute.

“As you are aware, some members of NNPP, based on allegations of anti-Party activities during the 2023 General elections, were properly investigated and sanctions applied in line with the letters of our Constitution. About Ten (10) of them, along with Dr. Boniface Aneibonam and our former National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Gilbert Major Agbo, gathered in Apapa, Lagos and claimed to have dissolved the properly constituted National Working Committee (NWC) of the Party.

“For the records, this present NWC was constituted and inaugurated on April 2022 for a period of four (4) years at a ceremony witnessed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The process of removing member(s) of the NWC is very clear in our Constitution, and no organ of the Party has the power to dissolve the NWC, not even the Board of Trustees, which is yet to be formally constituted.

“The results of our investigations have made it very clear that some external forces, scared of the 2027 elections, are behind these recalcitrant persons and their shenanigans and their main target, no doubt, is His Excellency, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso PhD, FNSE. We, as a party, are aware of their engagements and their plans. We know their limitations according to the Statutes (NNPP Constitution, Electoral Act, INEC Guidelines, and the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, as Amended), but since their mission, in collaboration with our detractors from outside the party is to create confusion and distraction, the party, as a law-abiding organisation that believes in the rule of law, decided to approach the courts to put a stop to their evil machinations of disrupting our well laid down programmes for subsequent elections.

“To this end, the NNPP as a PARTY approached the Court to help restore sanity in the polity. It is an open secret that these former members are not backed by law in all they are doing. The arrowheads of this onslaught have ceased to be members of the PARTY by virtue of their suspension/expulsion. However, in view of the backing they are getting from the opposition, we need to use the instrumentalities of the law to protect the sanctity of the party. Therefore, the party, in a suit No: K/M1157/2023 on the 4th day of September 2023, has been granted an interim order of injunction, pending the determination of the Motion on Notice which stops the Defendants, by themselves, their Agents, Cronies, and Whosoever acting through or for them from parading themselves, issuing press releases, granting interviews etc as Officers, Leaders, or members of the party. (Order attached).

“We are all human beings capable of rational reasoning. How could some former members who have either been suspended or expelled gather in a place and make pronouncements about the party? For emphasis sake, our last NEC meeting last Tuesday, August 29, 2023, had in attendance, the Kano State Governor, Senators, House of Representatives members, Speaker of House of Assembly, all the members of the NWC, including their Deputies (except Major Gilbert Agbo who was then on suspension before his expulsion), the six (6) Ex-officio members, Chairmen of all the 3 States and FCT, and other MEMBERS OF the NEC. Is it not amusing that some people still refer to those expelled members as a faction? A faction of which party?

“It is very sad that a political party which has been in existence since 2002, and as the time we HELD the 2023 General elections, could not boast of one House of Assembly seat, (the Honourable who won a seat in Bauchi in 2019 had defected to PDP), could be talking of “taking their party back”. From whom? Is it possible that some members are just happy having a party on paper? Can it be true that some persons are just contented on having a party they can only use for ‘negotiations’ or to transact business when elections come”? Why are some people not happy when a member(s) of their party wins (s) the election? As was the case with the Honourable from Bauchi, who defected to PDP out of frustration?

“We wish to reiterate that our NWC is intact, except for the former National Publicity Secretary alongside his cohorts, who have been expelled by a properly constituted National Executive Committee (NEC).

“Finally, yes, we are aware that they are asking spurious questions about the Party. The question is, “in what capacity”? As non-members, at least for now, they lack the locus to ask any question about the Party. Once you are suspended or expelled, you forfeit all your rights and privileges.”

  • Crisis in NNPP deepens as former National Chairman dumps party

Crisis in NNPP deepens as former National Chairman dumps party

Prof. Rufai Ahmed, the immediate past National Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has left the party.

Rufai, in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja, said he decided to quit “after consulting widely”.

Rufai’s action is considered by observers as a huge blow to the party that has been whacked by a major crisis that has torn the group into shreds.

The former national chairman, who resigned from the top job on 31 March, said he had offered to step aside then, to give the group an opportunity to move ahead by injecting people with new ideas.

“When I resigned from being national chairman, I wanted NNPP to move fast and consolidate on the indisputable gains made in the 2023 general elections and prepare for future polls.

“Unfortunately, in the last few weeks, the party has slipped deeper and deeper into avoidable crises and conflicts that have led to several cases of suspension and counter-suspension of key leaders.

“There has been an acrimonious press war, accusations and counter- accusations which, regrettably, has torn the party into factions.

“After the historic merger of the party in March 2022, together with other astute, highly dedicated, hardworking and loyal members, we put in place a robust political structure nationwide.

“The National Working Committee forged cohesion among our members and created a formidable platform that fielded candidates for all elective offices. I am proud to be part of that dream team.

“It is on record that within a period of less than one year and despite the limited time corridor from the merger to the general elections, the party won a governorship seat and many other slots in the National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly.

“I voluntarily stepped aside as the national chairman shortly after the general election to give room for new hands and fresh ideas in order to advance the party forward.

“As far I was concerned, I never believed in the culture of sit-tight in leadership positions nor that I was indispensable.

“We wanted to build a new Nigeria on the solid foundation of dedication, hardwork, resilience and personal sacrifice.

“Recent disturbing developments that threw up factions working against each other are really unfortunate and counter-productive.

“Sadly, there appears to be no end in sight in this needeless war of attrition.

“It seems that there’s an unwritten code by the warring factions not to allow elders of the party to mediate toward finding a lasting solution to the crises.

“This is indeed regrettable and unhealthy for the growth and survival of any political party, especially an emerging group like the NNPP.

“Having consulted widely, I hereby announce the withdrawal of my membership of the NNPP forthwith, and I pray and wish the party the best in her future endeavours,” he stated.

Rufai called on friends, associates and supporters to “remain calm and resolute while awaiting communications on future developments and our next direction”.

Rufai’s departure is coming shortly after a faction of the party announced the expulsion of Sen Rabiu Kwankwaso, the party’s candidate in the 2023 presidential elections.

Another faction had earlier expelled Dr Boniface Aniebonam, founder of the party, from the NNPP.

Rufai joins many other top members of the party that have left the NNPP.

Among them is Sen Othman Hunkuyi, the party’s candidate in the Kaduna State governorship election.

  • BREAKING: NNPP expels Rabiu Kwankwaso

    BREAKING: NNPP expels Rabiu Kwankwaso

The National Executive Committee of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has expelled Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, following his alleged refusal to appear before the party’s Disciplinary Committee.

Kwankwaso, the 2023 Presidential Candidate of NNPP, had been earlier suspended by the party’s leadership at the National Convention on Aug. 29 in Lagos.

Recall that the National Executive Council (NEC) of the NNPP set up a Disciplinary Committee and directed it to invite Kwankwaso to defend allegations of gross anti-party activities and mismanagement of party/campaign funds within five days.

The NEC had warned that, failure to appear before the Disciplinary Committee, Kwankwaso would be expelled from the party in line with the provisions of the party’s constitution 2022 (as amended).

Consequently, Mr Abdulsalam Abdulrasaq, the Acting National Publicity Secretary of NNPP, said in a statement on Tuesday in Lagos, that the NEC had expelled Kwankwaso with immediate effect because of his refusal to honour the committee’s invitations.

Abdulrasaq said: “The NEC met in an emergency session on Friday, Sept 1. and resolved as follows:

“Following the refusal of Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to appear before the disciplinary committee which sat on Thursday, Aug. 31 after being duly invited in writing,  he is hereby expelled from NNPP with immediate effect.

“That the erstwhile presidential candidate, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso will be reported to appropriate quarters to answer questions on financial impropriety relating to mismanagement of public funds.”

The crisis within the NNPP started when the NWC of the party loyal to Kwankwaso,  announced the suspension of the NNPP founder, Dr Boniface Aniebonam and the National Publicity Secretary, Dr Agbo Major on Aug. 24.

  • NNPP faction to probe Kwankwaso over N1bn ‘forms money’

NNPP faction to probe Kwankwaso over N1bn ‘forms money’

A factions of the New Nigeria Peoples Party under the leadership of Major Agbo has announced that it will investigate the presidential candidate of the party, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, and some of his loyalists over an alleged misappropriation of over N1 billion generated from the sale of nomination forms.

The faction accused a chieftain of the NNPP, Buba Galadima, of favouring and imposing certain party candidates ahead of other aspirants.

The allegations were made in a statement released on Sunday by NNPP factional National Publicity Secretary, Abdulsalam Abdulrasaq, after a meeting at Abuja National Secretariat.

He said, “NNPP will conduct a thorough probe into the mismanagement of well over one billion naira raised from the sale of forms to aspirants from March 2022 to date. The meeting resolved to invite relevant security agencies to properly examine the accounts of the party with a view to demanding explanations from the party’s presidential candidate, the party’s chairman who left in March 2023, the sacked acting chairman, and the National Secretary.

“This is to restore the confidence of party members and candidates who came forward with their hard-earned money to purchase forms. The party also queried the rationale for the location of the Situation Room in the presidential candidate’s personal residence.

“It noted that the illegal location created room for massive corruption and manipulation leading to the imposition of candidates by Buba Galadima and his co-travellers and resolved to set up a committee to launch a probe into it. It therefore called for written complaints from aggrieved candidates who were shortchanged after making payments for forms into the party’s account.”

Continuing, Abdulrasaq confirmed that the faction has withdrawn from the earlier Memorandum of Understanding it signed with the Kwankwasiya Movement and The National Movement, insisting that the principles of the two groups are targeted at massaging the ego of its sole owner and not in line with the party’s policies of inclusivity.

He also promised to probe why the party favoured Kwankwaso and allegedly denied other aspirants running for the same ticket.

“The party also resolved to query the rationale behind the denial of other presidential aspirants the right to purchase form and participate in the primary election that illegally produced Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso insisting that it was against the spirit of fairness and equity which our great party preaches.

“The party called on its numerous members and supporters to remain calm in the face of this brazen assault of the Kwankwasiya movement whose members were erroneously made to believe the party is sold to them and called on all aggrieved and displaced members who left for whatever reason to return home. The party resolved to overhaul its structures across all levels nationwide in the coming days and weeks,” he said.

Reacting, National Auditor of NNPP, Ladipo Johnson absolves Kwankwaso of any wrongdoing, saying all the allegations leveled against him were frivolous.

Johnson also wondered why the allegations were not raised until the factional leaders were expelled from the party.

“Does Kwankwaso sell forms? He is neither an official of the party nor an accounting officer. Why are you taking them seriously? It should be obvious to the whole world what these people are trying to do. They have been expelled.

“These are ex-members and renegades who are no longer in the party. I think the sooner Nigerians move to more serious issues relating to the economy and to the Niger crisis, the best for us. Since people like Agbo have formed their own NWC, they should sell nomination forms and teach the world how to manage N1b. I wonder how many candidates NNPP has that we sold N1b worth of forms.

  • NNPP denies purported suspension of Kwankwaso

NNPP denies purported suspension of Kwankwaso

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has refuted the purported suspension of Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, the 2023 Presidential Candidate from the party.

Mr Ladipo Johnson, the NNPP National Auditor, stated this at a news conference on Wednesday the party’s National Headquarters in Abuja.

Johnson, a former spokesperson for Kwankwanso presidential Campaign Council, said that the suspension was null and void.

A faction of the party headed by a former Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman, Mr Boniface Aniebonan had on Tuesday suspended Kwankwaso for six months over alleged anti-party activities, after a parallel National Executive Committee (NEC) in Lagos.

It also appointed the former National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Major Agbo as the acting National Chairman.

But, Johnson said that Aniebonam and Agbo were on Aug. 24 suspended for three months for engaging in unwholesome acts before they were later expelled from the party.

He added that the party NEC at its meeting on Tuesday in Abuja monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) took certain decisions including the election of new national officials, change of the party logo and expulsion of Aniebonam and Agbo.
“Is it not funny that all those people either suspended or expelled would gather somewhere and claim to have suspended Kwankwaso and also dissolve the NWC?

“The jokers also appointed a CTC made up of those people who have ceased to be members of the party by virtue of our constitution.

“Was INEC at the meeting? Did they write INEC? Who and who signed the letter?

“Is it not laughable that Major Agbo, who announced the suspension of the former chairmen, the expulsion of two of them, and the dissolution of some of the states is now purportedly “heading” their caretaker committee,” Johnson said.

He said it was unfortunate that some people had reduced politics and party administration to huge jokes.

“The news that one person will sit somewhere and arrogate certain powers to himself is not permissible in a democracy.

“We are using this medium to assure our supporters all over the country that there is no substance in the story.

“Kwankwaso remains the face of the party, has not been suspended, and the NWC under Ali remains intact,’’ he said.

Johnson however, admitted that Kwankwaso was invited to meetings by President Bola Tinubu on some issues saying that the meetings were far from being an anti-party activities.

He said that while Kwankwaso always took permission before attending such meetings, no conclusion had so far being reached from the meetings.

He also denied the allegation that Kwankwaso hijacked the party from members who were in the party before he joined with his movement in February 2022.

Johnson, however, said that the party leadership would do its best for possible reconciliation.

Also speaking, Mr Oluwatosin Odeyemi, the Chairman, forum of NNPP state chairmen, said the purported suspension of Kwankwaso was politics of bitterness.

“Let me remind you that the present secretary of that group was expelled from this party and Agbo was the one who read it out that he had been expelled. Agbo attended all the meetings of that committee.

“So you can see that it’s politics of bitterness. Something you read is something you agreed with. It was not as if you were pressure to read a release as the national publicity secretary.

“So now an expelled person that you confirm his explosion is whom you are now regarding so as yours, secretary,’’ Odeyemi said.

  • Drama as NNPP expels BoT after Kwankwaso’s suspension

Drama as NNPP expels BoT after Kwankwaso’s suspension

A faction of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) on Tuesday expelled the Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT), Dr Boniface Aniebonam, and several other national officers over alleged anti-party activities.

The National Publicity Secretary, Mr Agbo Major, and a host of other officials were affected by the sweep.

Its National Legal Adviser, Mr Robort Hon, who said this at the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja, accused them of sabotaging NNPP.

Hon accused Aniebonam of creating a parallel group within the party with a view to causing disaffection in the party.

“At the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the NNPP held in Abuja today, August 29th, 2023, Dr Boniface Aniebonam, Agbo Major and several others were expelled from the party.

“The NEC also moved several other motions relating to the Logo of the party, the Amendment of the constitution, ratification of the state caretaker committees, and suspension of two Articles in the constitution of the NNPP 2022.

“At the meeting were Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State; the Acting National Chairman, Malam Abah-Kawu Ali; the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly; Engr. Buba Galadima and many others.

“NEC noted that these suspended persons (now expelled) purportedly held a Board of Trustees meeting in Apapa, Lagos, this morning. Naturally, their meeting was null and void and had no effect,” said the NNPP’ legal adviser.

He said that the party’s NEC upheld motions to extend the tenure of the acting national chairman, Malam Abah-Kawu Ali, and to redesign the party’s logo.

In his remarks, Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano state, said he would continue to work closely with Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso in his efforts to reposition the NNPP.

Also addressing the NEC, the National Secretary of the party, Mr Olayoku Dipo, said that the party was in the process of setting up a properly constituted BoT in line with its constitution.

Dipo said that the party’s leadership was planning to change NNPP’s logo, adding that the party’s fortune at the 2023 general elections was affected by the current logo.

Also, the NNPP BoT Secretary, Buba Galadima, commended the party’s NWC for its role in stabilising the party.

In an earlier development, the faction of the NNPP led by Aniebonam had suspended the party’s Presidential Candidate, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso at its meeting in Lagos.

The Secretary of the BoT, Malam Babayo Abdullahi, who announced the action, said that Kwankwaso had been suspended for six months over anti-party activities

Abdullahi also announced the suspension of the NWC of the party.

He said that the suspension was put to a voice vote by members of the party at the special general assembly in Lagos.

“The BoT also appointed new national officers headed by Dr Agbo Major as acting National Chairman and Comrade Ogini Olaposi as acting National Secretary, alongside about 18 others,” he said.

  • BREAKING: NNPP suspends Kwankwaso

    BREAKING: NNPP suspends Kwankwaso

The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has suspended  Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso over what the BoT described as anti-party activities.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Kwankwaso was the presidential candidate of the NNPP in the February 2023 presidential election.

The NNPP BoT also suspended members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.

Dr Agbo Major and Mr Ogini Olaposi were appointed as acting National Chairman and Acting National Secretary, respectively.

According to the BoT, Senator Kwankwaso’s suspension is expected to last for six months.

Addressing newsmen at the end of a meeting in Lagos on Tuesday, Secretary of the BoT, Babayo Muhammed Abdulahi accused Kwankwaso of hobnobbing with President Bola Tinubu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Mr. Peter Obi, without the board’s authorization.

Abdullahi announced that Kwankwaso had been stripped of the NNPP national leader status by the board.

The secretary of the BoT said the purported suspension of the NNPP founder was a flagrant gross violation of the party’s constitution.

He pointed out that Aniebonam had resigned as the BoT chairman and a new BoT Chairman, Dr Chief Tope Aluko was elected with Abdulahi as new BoT Secretary, while High Chief Tony Obioha was elected as BoT spokesperson.

Abdulahi said the pre-election Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with Kwankwasia Movement, The National Movement (TNM) and National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders, (NAGAFF) had been rendered void by the actions of the NWC.

Abdulahi said: “The purported suspension of the founder is a flagrant gross violation of the NNPP constitution such that it is tantamount to recklessness and irresponsibility on the part of the incompetent NWC.

“The BoT decided that material evidence in the public sector affirmed that Kwankwaso was involved in anti-party activities in various meetings, suggest political discussions with the President, Atiku and Obi without authorisation from the board.

“This has earned him six months suspension pending the outcome of investigation by the Disciplinary Committee.

“The BOT insisted that the avoidable violation of MoU between NNPP on the one part and Kwankwasiyya, TNM and NAGAFF on the other has no other choice than to withdraw from the partnership.

“It is therefore to state clearly that the MoU have been rendered void,” he said.
