Even if DNA says otherwise, they are still my kids – Adeniyi Johnson speaks on fathering his twins

Popular Yoruba Nollywood actor Adeniyi Johnson has said he will raise his twins even if deoxyribonucleic acid test (DNA) shows the children aren’t for him.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) understands that the thespian made the statement in response to a troll who asked him to conduct a DNA test on his twins with his wife, Seyi Edun.

Reacting, Johnson via his verified Instagram page shared a screenshot of a troll’s comment questioning if he had conducted DNA on his twins, after which responded that he saw no reason to do such.

He added that if it turns out that the twins aren’t his, he would still raise them, unlike the troll’s father, who raised her as a senseless bastard.

“I don’t see reasons too, but I promise you I’ll raise them well, unlike your father who raised you as a senseless bastard”.

Interestingly, the troll took to actor’s private message, stating that she only wanted to gain his attention and apologised.

“Bro, I just wan gain your attention, no vex for me. I don’t mean it, I’m your fan like best fan, I love you”, the troll wrote in the DM.

Responding again, Adeniyi said sometimes he wishes he could see people right in front of them. He noted how people say trash on his page yet slide into his DM to say otherwise.

He reiterated that even if he discovers his twins aren’t his, they remain his kids.

“Sometimes you wish you could see some people right in front of you!!! You say thrash on my wall and come to my DM to say otherwise?? This is a temporary post but one out of many I get!!! Even if DNA says otherwise, which can never!!! THEY ARE MY KIDS. Rest”.

Recalls that the actor announced the birth of their twins during his 45th birthday celebration.

Speaking at their Thanksgiving service held in June 4, Adeniyi recalled painful moments he endured with his partner while waiting for children for a period of 7 years.

According to him, some people tried to persuade him to seek help from herbalists, but they stood firm and believed in God who finally gave them beautiful children.

He said, “During the seven years of waiting, we were called names. several people who do not worth it were referring us to herbalists. One thing we realize if that they don’t know so many things, we stood firm and believed in God for His wonders.

“Often times after service, I will go upstairs and meet my mom asking how many more years do we have to wait on God and finally God answered us. God gave us beautiful children and I don’t know how to thank him”

Jim Iyke reveals why he finds it difficult to make friends

Nollywood actor cum businessman, Jim Iyke has revealed why he struggles to make friends.

The veteran during a recent interview with Teju Babyface disclosed that he can’t be friends with everyone because he wants to keep a small circle who won’t wouldn’t hold grudges at his past actions.

He further noted how he’s a transitional being who changes every day and, as such, can’t keep friends with anyone who is always hung up on his last act.

Iyke explained that his propensity for growth is at an alacrity that many can’t keep up with.

He stated that he is the type who can move mountains for the people he cares about when they need him, but he might not be available to attend their functions like birthdays, wedding anniversaries,

“We don’t hang around emotions. We don’t have time for it. That’s why I can’t be friends with everybody,” he said.

“I need somebody that won’t be hung up on my last act. I’m too transitional for it. My propensity for growth is at an alacrity that you can’t keep up with.

“Who I was yesterday is different from who I am today. So it’s not everybody that can keep up with that. I need somebody that I won’t call for 10 weeks and he is not in his feelings.

“There’s a time I didn’t call him for 4 months and he didn’t call me either. We don’t have to. But when we call, it’s value.

“I don’t want a friend that I am in your life every day. It’s never going to work because I will never show up for your kid’s birthday.

“You find me wanting at your anniversary. When you have certain issues I might not be the one to reach. But I tell you, when you call me and I sense that it’s not even a function of what you tell me, I sense that you need me, I’m going to move every mountain. So you decide the kind of friends you want.

  • Popular comedian, Dauda gives reason for dumping law for skit making

Popular comedian, Dauda gives reason for dumping law for skit making

Popular Nollywood actor cum comedian, Kingsley Ogbonna, aka Dauda, has revealed why he dumped law to transition into skit- making.

Dauda, exited the entertainment industry, to delve into politics, serving as a Special Adviser to former Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, before embarking on academic journey to study law.

Rekindling his love for acting, Dauda says, this time, he’s dedicating himself to content creation, particularly skit-making.

Speaking with The NATION in an interview, Dauda shared insights into his decision to relinquish the legal profession, along with addressing other relevant topics.

Responding to questions about his absence from the spotlight since leaving government, Dauda clarified whether he had forsaken acting for a career in law.

He said, “The truth of the matter is that law is a good profession. It was to add to my profile but you also know that my first love is the entertainment industry with a bias for Nollywood and comedy if you like.

“With what is happening in the industry now, Law is good but it is usually very hard for you to start practicing when you are 50 and above as a new wig. The least is 10 years before finding your bearing.

“The best thing is to go back to what you know how to do best, what the world knows you for, which is entertainment, and going by the trend of events as the industry has left the normal Nollywood television.

“Though those come sparingly, the real thing now is the skit, the online entertainment. I am talking about content creation and people will like it. My first course was marketing. There is this definition of marketing, it is a management process responsible for identifying, satisfying, and anticipating consumer wants efficiently and profitably.

“That profit is very important. Whatever thing you are doing and it is not profiting, leave it. I’m not saying that Law won’t profit, but I am looking at the age bracket and what the Nigerian legal system is all about right now.

“I am not seeing Law as something I will rely on, I will keep the wig and gown aside. It wasn’t easy after 7, 8 years, going to Law School, and coming out, but I liked it. It has exposed me to many things. It has opened my eyes. I see myself as educated, learned.

“I can handle any organisation anywhere. I can fit into any organization. I know how to make money right now. I know what company, establishment means through Corporate Law I learnt in school. I can fit in anywhere.

“But that is not the thing. The thing is that whatever thing you do at this age, it must be profitable because you have kids growing. They are all in school and you want to achieve a lot before you get to a particular point in life where you will not be able to do anything again.”

The ace comedian emphasized that at 50 years old, having just completed law school last year, he felt the weight of responsibilities at home, including caring for his parents and younger siblings.

He expressed the belief that law was more suited for individuals with established profiles, and at his age, he preferred to focus on entertainment, particularly content creation, which he had already begun.

When asked about his return to entertainment and whether it was due to the favorable social media landscape for content creation rather than passion, Dauda remarked, “I am very blunt when I say this. What people like to paint, I don’t paint it.

“The Igbo man says, ‘I am not dancing now to be seen but to get something from it.’ If it is being popular or being a celebrity, we have tasted that, we have tasted stardom. We are talking about the end result, we need to make money.

“Yes, it is a passion but the passion that is not yielding anything is useless. Do I need to die because it is a passion? And I can tell you that, that is what ridiculed a good number of people in this industry.

“Those who said they are directors, scriptwriters, especially the directors, have the passion to do this job without looking at the business side of it. This is showbiz. I don show finish, na business I want do now.

“A lot of people are falling by the roadside. Some are suffering, some do not even have accommodation right now. I don’t want to mention names.

“Those who started in the 90s, into 2000 actors, and directors who so much love this business and would want to get it right at all times have still not found their feet because of the influx of the Idumota unto Alaba people who saw it as business and not what you are doing that you love. They are talking about doing it and making money and they are making money. That is the business in it.”

SAD! Family of  Nollywood actor, Don Brymo announces his burial plans

The family of late Nollywood actor, Chukwuma Uchegbo, aka Don Brymo, have announced plans for his burial.

According to the flyer released by his family, the late actor will be laid to rest Friday, August 25 after a ceremony at the Ezi-Ezenta Hall in Enu-Avomimi Enugu-Ukwu, Anambra State.

This is just as the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria has said that it has commenced investigation into the death of veteran actor, Don Brymo Uchegbu.

In a statement signed by the AGN’s National President, Emeka Rollas, the Guild said Brymo’s demise has also proven further credence to their incessant clarion calls on members to sign up for the AGN health management (HMO) plans to help put their health in check constantly.
The initial findings indicate that Brymo did not die on any movie set. The guild also emphasized that the untimely death of Brymo further reinforces their persistent calls for members to enrol in the AGN health management (HMO) plans, which aim to ensure that their health is regularly monitored and taken care of.

The AGN’s decision to investigate the circumstances surrounding Don Brymo’s death demonstrates their commitment to seeking the truth and providing clarity to the public. They hope that this investigation will shed light on the unfortunate incident and help prevent similar occurrences in the future.

    The statement reads in part

“The Actors Guild of Nigeria was thrown into another state of grief following the sudden demise of Don Brymo who was reported to have slumped on a film set in Rivers State and later passed on. This tragic death came as a rude shock and has thrown the entire Guild into another grieving moment as we mourn his death. I have taken reports from all the actors on the set with him and found out that he didn’t collapse on set as widely speculated.

While I commiserate with his immediate family, we have commenced preliminary investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, especially from the hospital where he was rushed to.

This has also proven further credence to our incessant clarion calls on members to sign up for the AGN health management (HMO) plans to help put their health in check constantly.

I and the entire members of the Guild are saddened by this tragic development of a death that could have been possibly avoided if urgent intervention was provided. May Don Brymo’s soul rest in peace and may God comfort all of us left behind to mourn him. We shall keep members abreast with the latest information and updates from the family.”
