    Beautiful Nigerian comedienne and actress, Wofaifada and her husband, Taiwo Cole have welcomed their first child, — a girl.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Wofai via her verified Instagram page on Saturday shared photos showcasing special moments  with her little one.

    The new mother and her baby is seen rocking matching floral-print robes, with the baby girl rocking a little headband in the photos. Another picture captures Cole gently holding the child’s tiny feet.

    The film star expressed gratitude to God for safe delivery, after which revealed her baby’s name as Ifedayo Konaghai Cole.

    Reacting to the photos, colleagues and friends have taken to the comment section to congratulate the actress.

    The announcement comes a few weeks after the lovebirds held a civil wedding ceremony. It is no news that the Wofai and Taiwo’s union is surrounded by controversy.

    In May, shortly after the traditional ceremony of the couple in Calabar, Taiwo’s family issued a public statement denouncing and distancing themselves from the union.

    The Cole family, in a statement, said, “This serves to notify all acquaintances, family, and friends that the Cole family of Victoria Island, Lagos, are not aware of any marriage ceremony involving our son, Taiwo Olakitan Cole; nor did we grant permission or support in this regard.”

    “As such, person(s) parading themselves as new members of the Cole family by virtue of this purported event are neither known nor accepted by the family. All publications and documents being circulated about this should be disregarded.”

    However, despite the family’s stance, the couple have  continued to share photos from their wedding ceremonies on social media.

    Ekene Umenwa, a Nollywood actress has disclosed that her marriage with her husband, Ifeanyi Ogbodo Alex, happened was due to a business that brought them together.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Umenwa and the movie producer, Alex, married in November 2023 and recently welcomed their first child.

    Speaking on how they met, Umenwa said that their business partnership blossomed into a friendship, and they eventually fell in love.

    Umenwa also attributed her private lifestyle to the decision to keep their relationship private until marriage.

    She said, “I met my husband years back, I cannot be specific because I am not good with time and calculations, but my husband is good with it. So I think it is more than five years ago that I met him and it was business that brought us together.

    “Because he is into the kind of business that I do. As business brought us together, from business to friendship and the guy had started falling for me and I later fell for him.

    “Well if you know me, you will know that I am a private person and if not that I decided to do this marriage to the glory of God, I would not even post about it.

    “I decided to keep it from social media because I think I was not so ready to post it. I needed to be sure about it. I wanted both of us to pray about it because it is not easy.

    “Many people come on social media and start putting their marriage out there but there are who do not like you, a lot of forces out there that might come.”

    Seasoned Nollywood actress Laide Bakare was awarded an honourary doctorate from the American University of Peace and Governance, USA.

    The actress took to her Instagram page to share the good news with friends and family.

    The mother of three further revealed that the ceremony is scheduled to take place today, November 30th, at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

    Laide expressed gratitude to one Dr Jonathan Ojadah for the nomination as she expressed how honored she is to be a recipient.

    “It is with great pleasure that I acknowledge this remarkable Honor to be bestowed on me by the American University of Peace and Governance (AUPG), USA www.aupgedu.us for an Honorary Doctorate during the DOCTORAL FELLOW INVESTITURE Ceremony scheduled to take place at the University Of Lagos (UNILAG) on the 30th Of November, 2024.

    How I recently cheated death – Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde opens up

    Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has taken to her social media handle to express appreciation to God after surviving a serious health scare that almost took her life. 

    The mother of four on Thursday shared a video detailing the gruelling experience. 

    The video highlights several moments of the iconic actress during the ordeal, one of the clips captured her on a hospital bed with IV drips and undergoing medical tests.

    The actress, in a lengthy post also recalled how she was rushed to the emergency room three times in one week due to her health crisis.

    Narrating her ordeal, she wrote: “Happy Thanksgiving! Please join me as I thank God for life and good health.

    “Have you been told by a doctor, ‘There’s nothing more we can do at this time,’ and you still feel like you’re dying? A read…”

    According to the veteran, the pain intensified after she attended an academy viewing event for Gladiator II.

    “All through the viewing, I could not sit up. I had already been rushed to the ER twice that week for intense acid reflux and high blood pressure,” she said.

    The third hospital visit revealed a critical condition with her gallbladder.

    The doctor said, ‘You have to go in immediately for surgery to remove your gallbladder!’ It was so dilated they wondered how I wasn’t in more pain,” she recounted.

    The actress took time to reflect on her journey, following the successful surgery.She further encouraged fans to be thankful for life and health.

    “Not only the gift of life, but the gift of good health, a complete body, or a sane mind to even dream of a better day!”

So help me God! Amennn”

    Charani, in her post, shared a loved-up video of them with their son, stating that it is forever with him. Laila said she isn’t fond of taking pictures but knows she is in his heart forever.

    She added that being with the politician for 14 years wasn’t a small feat, noting how mutual respect is beautiful.

    Taking to her comment section, Regina gushed over their love as she stated that Ned Nwoko is hers forever.

    “See love, o. He’s yours forever.”

    Laila Charani replied, “Respect is a beautiful thing, Gina.”

    Bimpe Akintunde, a popular Nollywood actress has taken to social media to lay a heavy curse on a scammer who has been impersonating her on Whatsapp.

    The actress shared screenshots of the scammer’s message via her Instagram page on Friday, in which he posed as her to solicit money from her followers.

    Expressing frustration, Akintunde questioned how the country would be great when someone tried to taint her years of hard work by using her details to defraud others.

    The actress cursed the impersonator for attempting to profit from her, after which she urged her fans to report the scammer’s WhatsApp and bank accounts.

    She wrote: “What a morning. Tell me how this country wants to be great, when a lot of people are struggling, working hard to build a name and brand, and boom, one person will take their pictures and name only to be defrauding ppl up and down. Who gave birth to such a child? awon oloriburuku omo, ki oluwa ma je ki won ya lodo wa oooooooo.

    “Pls disregard any message from anyone, either in your dm or WhatsApp, asking you to send money. Pls, it’s not me o; I don’t own this above number o. I would appreciate it if we could find a way to report both the WhatsApp and the Opay account.

    Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels is said to have been appointed the general secretary of the Senators Wives Association of Nigeria.

    Congratulatory messages have been flying in, though she has not officially confirmed this news.

    The actress’ colleague, Mercy Johnson was among those who congratulated Regina, posting photos of her wearing the association’s scarf and calling her “Her Excellency.” 

    However, some social media users seem to find fault in the decision made by the  association, querying its purpose.

    As of July 2023, the wife of Nigerian billionaire Senator Ned Nwoko was appointed as the social secretary for the 10th Assembly Senators’ Wives Forum Executive Council.

    The announcement was made during the first meeting of the 10th Senator’s wives association of Nigeria, which was hosted by Ekaette Akpabio, the wife of the Senate President.

    Chioma Chijioke, a Nollywood actress has welcomed a baby boy with her new partner, twenty four months after the death of her husband, Kingsley Anosike.

    Describing her newborn as her victorious son, she noted how her prayers were answered.

    The new mother further expressed appreciation to God for her new bundle of joy.
