Rita Edochie berates women who stay with cheating men for money

Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie has berated women who stay with cheating lovers just because of the monetary benefits.

The veteran actress, via her Instagram page on Wednesday, today October 9, noted that back in the day, women yelled and starved their partners sexually when they discovered that their men were cheating on them.

She said if such a man fails to change his ways, the woman will then walk away from him.

Edochie added that it is rather unfortunate to see women nowadays choose to stay in toxic relationships where the men cheat recklessly and showers their partners with money as compensation.

In her words, she said: “It is really very unfortunate to see women preferring to be in a toxic relationship where cheating and infidelity takes the lead simply because the so called man showers them with money. You can image a situation where a wife or a fiancee tells her man to use protection while having sex with another woman.

“Chai, i weep, what happened to your respect and presitage as the woman of the house? Have you sold them for pounds and dollars? During our time once we find out that our men cheats on us, we will kick against it with full force, yell at him, starve him sexually and give him certain attitudes he wont find comfortable and if he refuses to stop cheating, we will walk away from the marriage or relationship irrespective of who he thinks he is or how much he thinks he has

“Ladies you can do better now, its high time you start proving to your men that money doesnt buy respect.

“Secondly, i have been saying this though, ladies have something you do that fetches you money, be a boss, sail your own ship by yourself so you can confortably tackle a man who keeps messing up. It is only when you depend on your man for survival that you will have no say when he begins to trample on your emotions as a woman. Please plan yourselves biko nu maka na tata bu gbooo.”

  • Why women over 35 should get pregnant outside wedlock -Veteran actress Binta

Why women over 35 should get pregnant outside wedlock -Veteran actress Binta

Veteran Nollywood actress cum film maker, Binta Ayo Mogaji, has urged women above 35  who desire motherhood to get pregnant outside wedlock.

The 60-year-old actress during a recent interview with Oyinmomo TV encouraged unmarried women over 35 to consider having children outside of wedlock.

“What I’m saying is, once you’re 35 or older and you don’t have a husband, but there’s someone in your life who is with you but not ready for marriage, and he wants a child, have a child with him, even if he won’t accept responsibility for the child,” she advised.

Drawing from her own experiences, the prominent film maker narrated how she faced and overcame societal pressures, before eventually marrying UK-based physiotherapist, Victor Oduleye, in 2006.

She added that she endured 13 years of abuse before the marriage ended.

Mogaji emphasized that women should prioritize motherhood over societal expectations. She also encouraged women to consider adoption if they cannot find a partner.

“When she is looking for a husband at 35, they’ll say she’s too old and won’t be able to wash clothes for her mother-in-law or be controlled,” the actress said.

“They’ll advise the man to find a younger lady to listen to him. Even if she’s fortunate to marry at that age, she’ll already be old when her child grows up. Some people at 45 or 50 are already grandmothers.

“When your mates are grandmothers, and you’re still saying you’re looking for a husband, when will you find a husband and become a grandmother?

“So, my advice is, if God blesses you with someone who likes you and you can have children together, go ahead and do it.

“If you find someone you like, ask him to impregnate you as long as you want a child and can take care of the child. But if you want a child and cannot find a man to impregnate you, then consider adoption.”
