    Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has opened up on the reasons she’s taking long breaks from the Nigerian film industry.

    The mother of four via her social media on Saturday explained that she’s taking a much needed break from acting, to relax, reflect, and recharge after working continuously for many years.

    The veteran actress who begun to act since she was a teenage, explained that the intensity of her job,  made it necessary to step away from time to time to maintain her passion and creative energy.

    Omotola wrote: “I know many don’t understand why I step away from movies for a few years and then come back again!

    “I’ve seen fans asking when I’ll return to the screen, but when you’ve been working since 15 like I have… you’ll understand the need to relax, relive, relearn, and recharge. Who gets it and who’s following?”

    Nollywood actress, Bimbo Ademoye has penned down an open letter to her future husband, noting the big shoes he has to fill after her father delivered  five gallons of fuel amidst biting fuel scarcity.

    The actress via her Instagram story on Friday narrated how her father came to her rescue, after she had opened up to him about the fuel crisis she’s experiencing.

    According to the actress, her father showed up with five kegs of fuel and a full generator.

    Sharing a photo of the fuel,  Bimbo wrote, “Daddy called to ask if the fuel scarcity was affecting me. I told him I had used the last of the fuel in my car. Hours later, he asked if I was home. When I said no, he told me to inform my PA because he was on his way.

    “My PA later called to tell me that Daddy had brought me fuel. Five kegs and a full generator! Is my Daddy a joke to you? Dear God, please bless and keep my daddy. Amen.”

    “Dear future husband, I’m not asking for much. I’m not a damsel in distress. I’m a well-taken-care-of lady who appreciates the little things.

    “But you’ve got big shoes to fill! Don’t worry about being taken care of, though—I promise, I’ve got you for life. Again, God please keep my daddy for us, he’s the best thing that’s ever happened to my siblings and me,” Bimbo added in the post.

    In another post, the actress shared a video of her father dancing, captioning it, “My everything!”

    Why women must avoid butt lift surgery – Nollywood actress speaks

    Nollywood actress, Jumoke George has discouraged women from getting the Brazilian butt lift (BBL) surgery, saying it doesn’t end well.

    The actress took to her Instagram page on Friday to caution women risking their lives for unnecessary cosmetic procedures.

    Questioning the rational behind undergoing a BBL surgery, the movie star asked if it’s solely to impress men or its something more than that.

    “Are you doing it just because of pe**s or what? Are you not beautiful enough?” George asked women.

    The actress who highlighted the potential health risks associated with BBL, urged women to appreciate their natural beauty, created in God’s image.

    She said, “Women, what is the colour of our problem? Because if I say I understand I am lying. The scripture says every creature was made in the image of God the most high.

    “You females looking at me whose image do you think you were created? Are you telling God that He does not know what He was doing? God is perfect. What then are we looking for? God has given some long life but they intentionally cut off their lives.

    “What exactly are you looking for in doing BBL? You just want to enlarge your buttocks… Are you not beautiful enough? If any man tells you that you are not beautiful enough and go enhance what God has given you or recreate yourself, tell him he is not in his right senses.

    “You hear news about ladies going for BBL and losing their lives. Something that people like me who has it is even feeling it like a weight. Because when it gets to a stage it contributes to knee issues. Hardly will you see someone with big butt that would not have knee problem.

    “Stop all these BBL thing. Go and rest. I know some people will listen while others will not. But it saddens my heart.”

    Popular Nollywood actress Esther Ene has taken to her social media to share some essential human values that parents should teach their children before school resumption.

    The 42-year-old actress, in a lengthy post via her Instagram page, admonished parents to teach the correct values to their kids.  

    Listing some of the values, the actress explained that parents should teach their kids that there’s nothing wrong with wearing the same shoes or clothes daily.

    She said it is okay for a parent to teach their kids about bullying and how much it can hurt another human, adding that by all means, the spread of negativity should be shunned.

    She ended her message by saying it all begins at home.

    Her post reads, “School is almost starting and some started already. I want to ask you a favour… Sit with your child /children for 5 minutes and explain that there’s never a reason to make fun of anyone for their height, their weight, their skin tone, their accent, their home life or, the things they enjoy or even how their performance in school is.

    “Explain to them that there’s nothing wrong with wearing the same shoes or wearing one cloth every day.

    “Explain to them that a used backpack carries the same dreams as a new one.Teach them not to exclude anyone for “being different.”

    “Explain to them that teasing and b****ying hurts and that school is for going to LEARN, NOT to compete or spread negativity. Remind them some kids don’t go home to loving families so it’s important to be kind at all times.

    “It all starts at home!”.

    Popular Nollywood actress involved in ghastly motor accident

    Popular Nollywood actress and media personality Idia Aisien recently got involved in a car accident.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the movie star announced the accident in a lengthy post shared via her Instagram page on Friday.

    Aisien disclosed that the accident occurred on her birthday, which, according to the media personality, was supposed to be her best day ever.

    According to the actress, she broke her leg in three places and could not walk or do the thing she loves doing.

    Sharing a video of the incident, the actress wrote, “July 6, 2024, what was supposed to be the best birthday of my life turned out to be one of the most painful experiences I’ve ever had.

    “I broke my leg in three places, and I could no longer walk.

    I didn’t know if I’ll be able to do the things I love, but I knew I would begin to do the things that mattered.”

    Aisien also disclosed that her disability helped birth the growing urge to make life better for those battling various disabilities.

    She further thanked family and friends who showed her immerse support during difficult times.

    I watched how people with disabilities are treated, and I wanted to do my part to make life a little bit easier Because some of the basic things we take for granted were just so hard to do.

    “-Starting with FashionAble, an adaptive clothing label to supply clothes for people with disabilities — Magnets instead of buttons and zips, wider like pants for people who have casts, shirts with arm braces embedded and much more.

    “-Second: equipment like aesthetic boots, wheelchairs, and crutches, donated to different centres and homes across Nigeria that need them the most.

    “-Third: working with different hospitals and care centers on the kind of food and menus available to people who are recently disabled or in recovery. You don’t have to be rich, but everybody should have access to a decent meal.

    “-Fourth: Funding equipment for hospitals and centers to focus on providing faster response, more effective surgeries, and the ability to pay better doctors and consultants to care for people in need.

    “-And last but certainly not least, donations to help clear the debt of families who are unable to adequately cater to their loved ones with disabilities .

    “This, I believe, is one of the reasons I’ve been blessed to come out of this situation alive.To my family and friends who never left my side, all I can say is thank you. It has been an incredibly painful 8weeks; For everyone who messaged, emailed, prayed, visited. I love you,” she added.

    Controversial Nollywood actress, Lizzy Anjorin has debunked the allegations of an affair with  the husband of Toyin Abraham, Kolawole Ajeyemi.

    Anjorin’s denial is coming after popular Yoruba blogger Esabod alleged that the mother of one is involved romantically with Kolawole.

    These allegations sparked reactions online, prompting Lizzy to address the situation directly during a Facebook Live session, shared on Instagram on Thursday.

    Speaking, the actress described the accusations as baseless and outright lies, as she urged the public to disregard the claims.

    “Concerning the rumour that is being spread that their marriage is facing challenges, I am not interested. Whatever happens to them is their problem. It does not affect my life. Whoever wants to do evil should continue. Disregard all information,” she said.

    This came after security operatives in Saudi Arabia allegedly questioned Anjorin on suspicion of drug trafficking during her Hajj pilgrimage. The actress claimed her colleague leaked the story to the media.

    Abraham, however, denied any involvement. The dispute between the actresses led to several reactions at the time.

    The actress took to her Instagram page to celebrate the milestone with a display of a picture of herself, husband and her children.

    Sharing a video compilation on Instagram featuring moments with her family accompanied with short and simple anniversary message, the actress expressed her gratitude with the caption, “I have no words, Lord… 13 years of marriage filled with so many memories… #faithfulGod #@princeodiokojie.”

    Prince Okojie also marked the occasion on his Instagram pagethanking God for the “blissful marriage.”

    He wrote, “13 years of blissful marriage. What more can I say? Thank you, LORD! Happy wedding anniversary to us.”

    Mercy Johnson first met her husband in 2008 aboard a flight from France. He once revealed that he asked for her number but she declined, however, he was persistent in his pursuit of her.

    Nollywood actress cum producer, Adanma Luke has taken to social media to plead with Nigerians following the tragic death of popular Nollywood actor Junior Pope and four other crew members.

    TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) recalls that Nollywood actor Junior Pope and four crew members drowned on April 10 after their boat capsized in a river near Cable Point, Asaba, Delta State, while returning from the movie set, ‘The Other Side of Life’, produced by Adanma Luke.

    The incident sparked outrage from the public as it was gathered that life jackets were not provided for the trip.

    Adanma was then suspended by the Actor Guilds of Nigeria (AGN), but the ban was lifted.

    Despite the movie producer numerous pleadings, Adanma has been subjected to various allegations and insults on social media since the incident as many of the late actor’s fans continue to blame her for his death.

     Today, the movie producer shared a video on her social media page where she disclosed that she is gradually losing her mind over the constant online attacks from Nigerians.

    Calling for prayers, Adanma pleaded with Nigerians to be compassionate towards her, as things have not been easy since the unfortunate incident.

    She said, “I’m sorry this had to happen to me. I’m not God but please you all should put yourself in my shoes. It’s not easy on me and believes me I still need your prayers”

    Family, friends and colleagues have mourned Nollywood actress Sharon Okpamen, who passed away after childbirth.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the actress cum film producer had died days after birthing her second child.

    According to reports, the actress fell into a coma and never came back.

    Announcing her death, her colleague, Stanely Ontop via his verified Instagram noted it was a sad day for the Nollywood industry.

    Sharing her photos, he wrote: Nollywood Actress and Producer Sharon Okpamen has unfortunately passed on.

    It’s a sad day for Nollywood & the Edo entertainment industry. Sharon, who was a filmmaker, actress, entrepreneur& humanitarian, has left a significant void in the industry.

    This comes after the actress via her Instagram page shared a video of herself rocking a net top to a birthday party surprise she had attended earlier.

    Reacting to the video, a critic who was not pleased with such an outfit especially in the presence of children, slammed the actress noting how it’s unwise to dress indecently in front of children.

    He wrote; “It’s unwise dressing ungodly at this age. More unwise knowing you’re in the midst of kids yet wearing a net top to flaunt ur bra, wearing tight to reveal the shape of yansh publicly.     Replying to troll, the actress shared her account details, urging the troll to send her money to shop for better clothes

    Surprisingly, the moral critic replied, letting her know he wasn’t Chike and she should avoid online begging and make corrections.
