    Nollywood actress robbed in Lagos, sustains serious injury

    Nollywood actress Aolat Ayonimofe has revealed how she was in Ogudu, Lagos State

    According to the actress, via her Instagram on Friday, she was attacked by some traffic robbers who carted away with some of her expensive necklace and left bruises on her neck.

    The Yoruba actress noted how bystanders watched and couldn’t do anything, whilst she was attacked.

    Crying out, she revealed that her neck wound is deep but she is grateful that it wasn’t more than that.

    Admonishing the public, she told them to be safe out there.

    She wrote: “I was robbed right now. Inside traffic along Ogudu. They went away with my expensive necklace Bruises around my neck. And people were there watching the ugly incident. My neck wound is deep thou. Pls be safe out there.Thank God is not much more than this”.

    Sharing photos of the new mother and her newborn, Adeboyo expressed her gratitude and excitement, revealing that her colleague welcomed her son after many years of waiting.

    She wrote “IT’S A BOY! After many years of waiting, God has finally blessed us with a bouncing boy from the throne of grace.

    “Oh God, we’re grateful. Welcome to the world, my prince charming. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Alli @tawaajisefinni @jamomayor.”

    Biola also shared a video compilation highlighting Tawa’s pregnancy journey.

    Nollywood actress, Destiny Etiko has denied the rumours alleging that the husband of her senior colleague, Omotola Ekeinde’s husband, Mathew Ekeinde, bought her a new car.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Destiny celebrated her birthday a few days back, and rumours of the actress receiving a luxurious car from her senior colleague’s husband swelled.

    Reacting, Destiny debunked the report, clarifying that she got everything she ever owned by herself.

    She questioned if men give women money as she made it known that she hasn’t benefitted from any man.

    Destiny said the viral photo of herself and her colleague’s husband was taken four years back, and since then, she hasn’t seen the Captain. 

    According to the curvy actress, the photo was taken after a flight where he was the pilot. She stated that the Captain didn’t even know her and had requested the photo out of respect for her senior colleague.

    She said: “I don’t need anybody to tell me that God has been faithful to me. Something has been happening, and it is really cràzy. I didn’t want to talk about it when I heard some nuisances: people who haven’t been able to feed themselves and are so jealous that they can’t withhold the blessings of God in someone else’s life, and you expect to grow. I didn’t want to talk about this cause I felt it was non-relevant.

    “Does men dey give money? Because if men dey give money, I don’t know o. The last time I checked 99.9 per cent of what I achieved in my life, I did it myself with my full chest. I don’t know why some people are bitter. 

    “You know, I always buy a car most of my birthdays because I like to change cars yearly. Some bitter people are hurt that I bought a car that would shake them; that’s why they brought out an old picture of me with Omotola’s husband that I took over four years ago. 

    “How did it happen? I was on a flight, and he was the pilot, so some people were snapping pictures with me, and he was like, What’s going on there? They told him I was an actress, and he looked at me closely. and I told him we should take a selfie, and he obliged. Nothing was there. We went down and took a selfie, and that was it. From that day till now, where I wan see the man? Wetin concern me”.

    Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has slammed a follower who called her out after her attempts to beg for money yielded no result.

    The woman had via Instagram pleaded with the actress to help her with N100k to start a business, noting that she’s a mother of two.

    When the actress did not respond, the woman returned with a rude message.

    “Old woman,” the follower told the actress on Instagram.

    Angered by the remark, the actress berated the follower for insulting her over her refusal to render help to her.

    According to her, such attitudes from followers was the main reason she stopped rendering help to people.

    She also added that she is not singer Chike who gave a rude follower N1 million after the follower insulted him.

    Sharing screenshots, she wrote: “This is the major reason I stopped helping random people!

    “Take your problems to God… comot for my dm cos I’ve got my own problems too! Is the audacity for me!

    “Most of you think I don’t have family members that need help as much as you do?!!

    “Truth is, I didn’t even see her previous message, because she felt ignored and felt is her right to get 100k from me to start bag business I suddenly turned to old woman 😂😂😂

    “Aunty young woman, I work hard for my money and no be your papa start business for me so you have no right to feel entitled to my money!

    “I no be Chike, I don’t give money to people that insult me…. I only show love to people that have genuine love for me!”

    In a teaser for an upcoming episode of “The Honest Bunch,” co-hosted by actor Nedu, along with Husband Material, Deity Cole, and Ezinne, the actress expressed her unconventional views on marriage.

    “The best girls to marry in this generation are prostitutes,” Nwachukwu declared. She argued that sex workers, having been intimate with various men, are more likely to remain faithful in marriage.

    “Once you marry a sex worker, she won’t cheat because she has been intimate with various men. So, we are the best people you can get married to,” she stated.

    Nwachukwu further commented on the motive behind modern marriages, suggesting that financial stability has become a primary concern for many women.

    She questioned the notion of love in marriages today, using the example of Ifeoma and Rudeboy of P-Square.

    Nobody marries for love these days. Dem born me, born poverty? Why Ifeoma go marry P-Square?” she remarked.

    Tonto Dikeh speaks on getting arrested over alleged defamation, others

    Controversial Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh has dismissed the reports alleging that she was arrested by the Nigerian Police Force.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the mother of one was invited by the Nigeria Police Force in connection with an investigation into criminal defamation, cyberbullying, and forgery, among other charges.

    However, the movie star cum politician in a statement via her Instagram page on Friday stated that she was neither arrested nor detained by the police.

    Clarifying the rumors, the actress stressed that neither a search or arrest warrant was issued to her by the police.

    She further urged those peddling the rumours to stop.

    The statement read, “Let me categorically state that I was not arrested, neither was I detained by the police or any law enforcement agency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria I am in my house enjoying the goodness of God.

    “I am a law abiding citizen and in my position as a member of the diplomatic society I owe a higher duty to live above board in all I do, getting involved in crime and criminalities is not one of the things I can be involved in.

    “There is a world of difference between helping law enforcement agencies to effectively do their jobs and actually getting involved in crime.

    “At no point in my life has there ever been a search warrant, arrest warrant or any other form of warrant from the Good office of the Nigeria police to my humble self.

    “Whatever the rumour peddlers are up to, I really don’t care, my commitment is to the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a law abiding citizen and to this end I will always honour invitations extended to me whether to help the law enforcement agencies in their job or to provide clarifications on issues. This is without prejudice to the fact that I will exercise my rights against anyone, persons or group of persons who attempt to peddle fake stories about me or my brand or defame my character. I will come for you..

    “This is just to let those behind this false Narrative know that they failed woefully.

    The movie star and filmmaker, via her Instagram page on Monday shared a photo of her younger sister, noting she had become a wreck upon the devastating news of her death.

    She wrote: ”My vacation ended on Saturday which turned out to be the worst day of my life. I lost my younger sister and have been a wreck, grieving someone this close wasn’t in my 2024 cards, but we can not ask God questions.”

    Recall, the actress had earlier admonished her followers to hold their loved ones close as she expressed heartbreak over life.

    I’m not bothered – Nancy Isime speaks amid backlash over niqab in Blood Brothers

    Nollywood Actress Nancy has shared a cryptic message following the backlash from Muslims over an upcoming movie Blood Brothers.

    The thespian have come under criticism following a post on Monday, July 22 where she shared pictures from a robbery scene in Blood Brothers dressed in a niqab.

    Reacting, Muslims condemned the use of niqab in the shooting of the movie. According to them, the niqab is not a costume and should not be used to depict negative actions such as a robbery.

    They stressed that the hijab and niqab are symbols of modesty and faith, not props for entertainment.

    Speaking amdist the controversy, Nancy via her Instagram page on Thursday night shared a series of pictures accompanied by cryptic messages seemingly aimed at addressing the controversy stirred by the use of the niqab in a robbery scene.

    She captioned the post, “ISIME BABY!! Omo ologo 5G!!! The brightest light!!!! The city on a hill that can never be hidden!!!!! The Nancy Isime!! Big name, big force!!!”

    One of the pictures shows the actress dressed in a black outfit, matching with a black bag and heels. Another picture contains a message reading, “I don’t bother nobody & I’m not bothered by nobody. That’s my peace.”

    Recall, the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) on Thursday said that it reached out to the producers of the movie.

    The board’s director-general Shaibu Husseini assured that the film had not been released nor submitted for classification as required by law.
