Soludo’s wife dares Ekwunife with paternity tests for all her children, reveals huge reward

Nonye Soludo, the first lady of Anambra State has dared the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Uche Ekwunife, to a public oath and DNA tests on her children.

TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) recall that the Senator while reacting to reports that her academic qualifications were questionable, alleged that Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his wife were part of the administration of late Governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju between 1999 and 2003.

Speaking via a statement on Saturday, Mrs Soludo berated the senator over what she described as malicious allegations” against her family.

She warned that legal actions would be taken against the Senator if she does not withdrew her claims and apologised within 72 hours.

Soludo said, “For starters, let me repeat three verifiable facts. One, I have never worked for anyone in my life. I have been a professional and an entrepreneur all my adult life. Two, I never met Dr. Mbadinuju of blessed memory in my life. Three, in my 55 years on planet earth, I have known only one man, Chukwuma Soludo.

The First Lady further issued a challenge to Ekwunife, “Since she claims to be a converted Catholic, I challenge her and both of us to swear an oath of fidelity and chastity at any Cathedral in front of the Blessed Sacrament. I will also swear with my children that I have known only one man, Chukwuma Soludo,” she added.

She also proposed DNA tests for both families, to be conducted in three reputable hospitals in London, stressing that she would bear all expenses.

As a businesswoman, I will pay for your and your family’s travels as well as for the tests. If, after the tests, it is confirmed that your husband is the father of all your children, I will congratulate you with a cash award. I can confirm that my family is ready for this test at any moment of your choice,” she stated.

Soludo concluded by urging Ekwunife to recant her statements and tender an unreserved apology within 72 hours, warning that her lawyers had been notified in preparation for possible legal action.

However, in reaction to the development, Ekwunife, in a statement released on Saturday, stated she gave a “friendly advice” to Soludo.

Ekwunife noted, “Mrs. Soludo does not owe me any explanation regarding personal family matters. If my statement caused any discomfort to Mrs. Soludo, she owes her husband an explanation, not me.”

She further stated, “Challenging me to respond or undergo tests does not involve me, as I am not part of her family affairs. She should focus on addressing any concerns with her husband.”

Governor’s wife settles hospital bills of 200 patients

Wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, has called on political leaders and well-meaning individuals to always respond to the needs of vulnerable people around them.

Mrs Soludo, Founder of the Healthy Living Initiative, made the appeal on Friday during visits to hospitals in the state, where she paid the medical bills of 200 patients.

The gesture was part of activities marking her 55th birthday celebration.

Some of the beneficiaries were selected from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Awka; Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi; and the General Hospital, Okpoko.

During her visits, she engaged warmly with patients, offered prayers, and provided discreet financial support to many in need.

Speaking to newsmen afterwards, Soludo said she believed that true leadership was rooted in service, compassion, and making a positive impact.

She explained that she had a long-standing tradition of marking her birthdays not with parties, but by visiting hospitals and homes for the less privileged.

“I encourage political leaders and well-meaning individuals to take time to bring joy to the vulnerable in society, no matter how small the effort.

“Making someone smile doesn’t cost much; sometimes, all it takes is your presence. Even helping an elderly woman find a place to sleep is an act of love,” she said.

Soludo said her annual visits were a personal way of reflecting on the true meaning of human existence, showing love, giving hope, and putting smiles on people’s faces.

“Each year, I spend my birthday with the sick, the motherless, and the vulnerable. Bringing happiness to others is my greatest source of joy. That is all I need to feel fulfilled,” she added.

She also commended the healthcare workers for their dedication and lauded the cleanliness and management of the facilities.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Governor’s wife and offered prayers for her continued well-being.

How to stop children from being attracted to vices – Soludo

Wife of Anambra State Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, has said giving children adequate parental care would reduce their attraction to crimes and vices capable of destroying their lives.

Soludo, also the Founder of Healthy Living Initiative, made the assertion when she visited and cooked for children at Model Community Children’s Home, Awka, to celebrate 2024 Children’s Day .

Children’s Day is marked every May 27, to celebrate children all over the world, and for adults to remember their childhood experiences.

She urged parents to make it a daily routine to celebrate their children, to give them a sense of belonging and make them feel loved.

“I’m here to celebrate the Children’s Day with the children by cooking for them and feeding them. They need motherly love, care and warmth.

“We need to celebrate our children everyday. As a mother, I celebrate my children every day because they deserve to be celebrated.

“With adequate love and parental care, they can not deviate, even under peer pressure influence. They will not be attracted to crimes and vices.

“While growing up, my mum played a wonderful role in my life. Because of the way she celebrated me, I could not afford to misbehave as a student in boarding house because I know she will be disappointed.

“That is why parents must be positive with their children. They need more of assurance and blessings than curse, because whatever you tell them will always come to pass,” she said.

The governor’s wife advised the children to be focused and to listen to their parents for proper guidance and direction in life.

“For the children, times are very hard, especially with the era of social media influence. They should be focused and listen to their parents because they are the people that will guide them and tell them the truth.

“Whatever you see out there in the social media can be deceptive and misleading. But that of the parents will lead you to the right path and the sky will be your limit,” she said.

Earlier, Rev. Sister Philomena Akuchukwu, Coordinator of the home, appreciated the governor’s wife for the visit, describing her motherly care and attention to the children as top-notch.

“Since you came into office, you have not set eyes off our home. You visit us practically every month with food and drinks. You made our home your second home and know each and everyone of us very well.

“You cook for us by yourself, feed us and again pay our school fees. May God bless, protect, reward and keep you safe for us,” she said.
