    YES FM owner, Yemi Sonde raises alarm over nude video blackmail

    The owner of Ibadan-based radio station, YES FM, Yemi Sonde has raised an alarm of being blackmailed with his nude video.

    In a press statement issued by the ace broadcaster in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, Sonde said the blackmailer claimed to be in possession of his nude videos.

    He said the blackmailer sent him a video of him alone in his bedroom and repeatedly demanded sums of money which ranged from N500,000 to N1,500,000, to keep it off social media.

    The radio station owner also revealed that the blackmailer contacted some of the broadcaster’s friends with the said video, asking them to prevail on him to send him the money or see him get embarrassed by its release.

    Yemi however said he told the blackmailer to go ahead with his threat as he would not part with his hard-earned money to any blackmailer.

    The statement read; “I am issuing this release to let Nigerians know that some powerful individuals who are bent on destroying me have orchestrated this blackmail. I don’t know what I did to necessitate this but I know that they will fail.

    “I suspect some high net-worth individuals in society who got the blackmailer to go after me, having hitherto sworn to take me down.”

    Nigerian music producer and record label boss, Don Jazzy, has stated that he has dated good-looking women who asked for his nude pictures.

    Speaking on the Off Air with Gbemi and Toolz show, the revered star said, “I have dated very beautiful women who have asked me to send (them) nude pictures. I never send it. (And these are) women finer than Rihanna. I don’t know how to woo; I like it when people woo me.”

    In the course of the show, when he was asked to read the messages in his social media accounts, Don Jazzy declined, saying, “I don’t (even) allow my social media team have access to my phone. It is very sacred. People come to my inbox to pour out their hearts and other stuff.”

    Don Jazzy also noted that the music industry was kinder to male artistes than female artistes. He added, “The industry is generally kinder to male artistes, and I don’t know why. In this music industry, I have noticed that women suffer. Over the years, I have seen that it’s a difficult market for women. Everybody wants to have sex with them and how many people are they going to have sex with? It’s ridiculous.”

    Uche Maduagwu condemns Cross over viral nude video

    Controversial actor, Uche Maduagwu has reacted to the nude video which was inadvertently released by ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Cross, on Snapchat.

    TheNewsGuru recalls that Cross on Wednesday erroneously shared a video of him naked on Snapchat which went viral before he deleted it.

    Speaking about the video, Cross said it was just a mistake, adding that he is still getting used to handling his phone and the latest features on Snapchat.

     

    He debunked reports that the video was for a publicity stunt.

    Reacting, Maduagwu, in a post via his Instagram account, condemned the ex-BBN housemate adding that he vomited after watching the nude video.

    Uche wondered the brands that would sign stars whose nudes make it to the internet while referring to Cross’s d**k as “k-shaped tiny sugarcane”.

    “After some girls will be singing somebody’s son should find them one day. He should have just signed up on a porn site.

     

    “I really wonder what brands will sign these BBN housemates after their nudes are everywhere.

    “I actually vomited after seeing his K-shaped tiny sugarcane,” he said.

    Russian restaurant owners, whose income dropped due to the COVID-19 lockdown, have campaigned to reopen shops by posting photos of themselves naked on social media.

     

    On Tuesday, pictures of residents said to be owners of bars, restaurants, and cafe employees, with carefully positioned plates, saucepans, bottles, and napkins, circulated on social media platforms.

     

    Reuters report that the group demanded that the Russian authorities allow them to start serving clients as the country gradually eases measures to stop the spread of the novel virus.

     

    Putin had ordered firm lockdown measures at the end of March — a directive that shut businesses except for food stores, pharmacies, although regions were conditionally allowed some adjustment.

     

    But the country would on Monday declare that it would lift a range of anti-coronavirus measures including a strict lockdown on Moscow, despite still recording thousands of new cases.

     

    While this would allow residents to travel freely for the first time since March, it was gathered that authorities in some cities including Novosibirsk had yet to say when restaurants can open.

     

    “We are naked because we are left with nothing,” Arthur Galaychyuk, owner of the Relab Family bar chain in the city of Kazan, whose 20 employees took part in the campaign, reportedly said.

     

    A chef known as Pavel from the Siberian city of Novosibirsk added: “We don’t want to stage a strip show or to fool around, we only want one thing to work!

     

    “We don’t pose more of a risk then supermarkets, shopping malls, hair salons, or public transport.”

    19-year-old Yabatech student arrested over Salawa Abeni’s nude pictures

    The operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested a 19-year-old National Diploma holder of Yaba College of Technology, Lagos as the brain behind the blackmail of Queen Salawa Abeni with nude photographs.

    The suspect, Olufowoke Oladunjoye Emmanuel, a resident of Brentfield Avenue, Peace Estate, Magboro, Ogun State, was picked up by the Decoy Team of Rapid Response Squad last week Thursday after three days of monitoring him.

    The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hakeem Odumosu had in the wake of *the* attempt by an unknown individual to blackmail Alhaja Salawa Abeni sometime in April 2020, directed the Commander, Rapid Response Squad, DCP Olatunji Disu to fish out the suspect.

    After a technical diagnosis of the complaint, the Decoy Team narrowed down on the suspect a few days later.

    Sources close to the team disclosed that the suspect couldn’t be picked because of the prevalence of COVID-19.

    The suspect in his statement to the police confessed to having been the mastermind behind the ploy to publish some nude pictures of Waka Queen in exchange for money, adding that he was alone in the scheme.

    The suspect, a 2017/2018 Electrical Engineering student of Yabatech, disclosed that he saw the nude pictures in a memory card which he picked up on the floor in Yabatech sometime in November 2019.

    He added that after downloading the nude photographs of Salawa Abeni on his phone, he picked up her mobile number from her Instagram page.

    “On 1st of April, 2020, I chatted her up and also called her after sending a few of the photos to her online.

    My intention was to negotiate with her for a few bucks and for me to destroy the photographs.

    I thought everything was going on fine until the following day when I heard the news of the blackmail over the radio. I was with my mother. She was even cursing the blackmailer unknown to her that I was the brain behind it.

    I immediately sneaked out, destroyed the memory card, and threw my mobile phone and SIM card into a nearby wetland in Magboro. Since then, I never mentioned it to anyone and called Madam Salawa Abeni about it again”, he disclosed.

    Commenting on the arrest, CP Hakeem Odumosu stated that no individual would be allowed to commit a crime in Lagos from any State or escape to other States in Nigeria to evade arrest.

    He advised guardians to monitor their wards, emphasizing that the internet is a fertile ground for opportunities but the State Command would not allow criminals to use it as an avenue to exploit law-abiding Lagosians.
