You have not even started life – Jaywon knocks Odumodublvck over mockery

Veteran Nigerian singer, Jaywon has berated his colleague, Odumodublvck born Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu for stepping on toes.

This comes after Odumodublvck via the microblogging platform, X formerly Twitter shaded the singer by comparing his (Jaywon’s) picture with popular singer, Ayra Starr and that of the Mavin artist with American rapper, Future.

In one photo, Ayra Starr could be seen posing closely with Future; in the other, she could be seen distancing herself from the Nigerian singer as she held his hand with the tip of her fingers, seemingly to prevent him from holding her waist.

Shading Jaywon with the photo that sparked outrage a couple of months ago, Odumodublvck wrote: “This life ehn,” alluding to preferential treatment depicted in the pictures.

Reacting, Jaywon accused the fast-rising rapper of dragging people despite being young in the music industry.

He wrote: “Lol, you’re already dragging your senior, who’s going to drag you? You haven’t even started life, and you’re already stepping on toes.”

  • Wizkid reacts as Odumodublvck says Tems, Arya Starr, bigger than singer

Wizkid reacts as Odumodublvck says Tems, Arya Starr, bigger than singer

Nigerian music sensation Wizkid has reacted to a statement by controversial rapper Odumodublvck, in which he opined that female colleagues, Tems and Ayra Starr have achieved more in the music industry than Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, and Afrobeats megastars, Wizkid and Burna Boy.

During a recent episode of theCocktails & Takeaways’ podcast hosted by Madame Joyce, the rapper insisted that most producers, promoters and artists want to have sex with female musicians before helping them out.

According to him,When I was coming to London, I was on the same flight with Tems’ manager, Don Awon. I told Tems,Big up, you did it. What you and Ayra Starr have done is bigger than anything Wizkid, Burna Boy and even Fela have done. Quote me anywhere.

“Because as a female artiste, out of every 10 show promoters, 5 want to have sex with you, out of every 10 producers, 5 want to have sex with you, out of every 10 artists that you look up to and need help from them, 5 want to have sex with you.

“I can’t imagine being in that situation. And after dodging all those things, you still make good music. Remember, the number one hardest job in this world is being a woman.

“The second hardest job is being an artiste because there are over 100 million artistes. How are you going to make it out of the thousands of songs that drop every day? Why should they listen to your own?

It’s not like you’re doing a job that your payment is guaranteed. As an artiste, there’s no guaranteed payment, you’ve to make it for people to pay you. It took me about six years to get my first good cheque. So imagine being a babe and an artiste and you still make it. That’s impressive.”

However reacting, Wizkid via his verified X account affirmed with the rapper with a quote saying;Kala no lie

A fan piqued by the singer’s response, inquired saying, “So Ayra Starr and Tems are better than you. I’m glad you used your mouth to say odumodu is not lying..”

Replying the fan, Wizkid said, “I see u weren’t raised by a good woman and love at home. Ayra star and Tems are amazing.”

“Some Nigerians did pure rap but they didn’t make it exciting for people to gravitate towards it.

“People said my rap sounds like nursery school rhymes. I dumbed it down so I can sell these records, so you don’t have to think twice. When you listen to my rap, if you understand the lingo you get it once. You don’t have to go to any dictionary.

“It’s not hard core rap. It’s easy. I’ve made it exciting. Just like Wizkid, I want to make my rap sweet and exciting.
