    On Sunday night, June 16th, Odunlade hosted the premiere of his much-anticipated movie “Lakatabu,” set to debut on June 21st at Film House Circle Mall, Lagos.

    The star-studded event featured many notable guests, including Funke Akindele, Iyabo Ojo, Kolawole Ajeyemi, Brodashaggi, Mr Macaroni, skitmaker Oluwadolarz, Bukola Arugba, Bolanle Ninalowo, Denrele Edun, Wumi Toriola, Sikiratu Sindodo, and many more.

    One of the evening’s highlights was the crowning of the Best Dressed attendees, with Funke Akindele winning Best Dressed Female and Denrele Edun winning Best Dressed Male respectively.

    Both winners received a brand-new refrigerator each as a token of appreciation.

    Popular actor, Odunalde Adekola has broken his silence over claims of his involvement in sex-for-role in his movies.

    TheNewsGuru reports that the versatile actor has been in the news over allegations that he usually demands sex from females longing a role in his movies.

    His accusers had also mentioned some of those he allegedly slept with in the past before giving them the opportunity to feature in his movies.

    However in an Instagram video on Thursday, the actor dismissed the allegation, saying such is aimed at smearing his reputation.

    Adekola also averred that those peddling such claims should come forward with evidence that he indeed slept with people before giving them roles in his movies.

    “You don’t need to reply to everything, that’s why you’re a celebrity. But there are some things that they will say about you and you need to clear it, let me clear this one,” he said.

    “They said that I normally ask for sex before giving anybody a role. They said that I ask them for sex before giving them a role in my movie, me???

    “I’m saying this now, and I’m putting it to every one of them, everybody that has passed through me, all the ladies that have through me, it is only God that can make you a star, nobody can make you a star.

    “But every one of them, I mean the ladies, if I’ve ever asked you for sex before I gave you any role, please come out and say it under this video. If you’re among those saying such, come forward with your proof, but if you don’t do that, you’ll experience God’s wrath.

    “You will prosper, you will be great, but I need to clear this, just come out and say it under this video, anyone that is in that shoe. I just have to come out and say this and clear it because of the young ones that are coming into the industry later, I just have to do this.”

    According to him: “My fans helped me become a star. They are the ones who recommend our movies to others to watch”, he told City People.

    On the the secret behind his relevance, Odun said:”I am not perfect nor am I special. It has been the grace of God. You cannot achieve anything without the power of God”.

    Odunlade who has starred in countless movies said a good producer and a good script determines if he is going to appear in a movie.

    “A good producer and a good script determine If I will feature in a movie”.

    On how he has been able to balance stardom and the home front, he said: ”I cannot really say much about that because we have different backgrounds and home training. All I can say is that it’s been the grace of God”.

He has starred in several Nigerian films, winning four awards as Best Yoruba actor at the 17th African Film Awards popularly known as Afro Hollywood awards at the Stratford Town Hall in London.     Renowned Nollywood actor, Odunlade Adekola has over the years become a force to reckon with in the movie industry. The actor who recently graduated from the University of Lagos said he worked hard for his certificate contrary to what many believe.

    Speaking in a recent chat with Punch, he debunked claims that he was an absentee and bought the certificate while studying at University of Lagos.

    He said: “Being in school was a really thrilling experience for me. I was humbled in the sense that I had to attend classes, do assignments, sit for exams and carry out other academic activities”, he said.

    “I had a good relationship with all the lecturers that taught me and the students too. There was nothing like celebrity status.

    “As long as we were in the classroom together, we were all one in our quest for knowledge. One should never get tired of seeking knowledge because the world is dynamic and ever-changing,” he said.

    “I attended classes regularly and I did everything I was required to do. My course mates can testify. I was not a stranger to any of my course mates because I usually attended classes.

    “I was the one who made the decision to go to school. I knew what it entailed and I was ready to adhere to the rules. I can tell you that I worked hard not otherwise for my certificate.”

    Odunlade Adekola is different things to different people.

    The entertainer in the early hours of today took to his Instagram page to share a picture of himself in his graduation gown.

    Odunlade graduated from the University Of Lagos with a Bachelor’s Degree In Business Administration.He is known for his versatility and excellent role interpretations.

    He began acting in 1996, the same year he joined the Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts practitioners and was under the tutelage of the late Nollywood actor and producer Isola Durojaiye (also known as Alasari)

    Odunlade had starred, scripted, produced and directed several Nigerian films over the years.

    In April 2014, he won the Africa Movie Academy Award, having emerged as best actor of the year alongside Fathia Balogun who emerged as best actress of the year.
