The midlife season of life comes with several challenges. From aging, to failing  strength and health, to decreased libido, empty nests, loneliness, apathy,  anxiety about the future, retirement, loneliness, and much more.

Four leprous men at the entrance of Samaria found themselves in a desperate  situation. The famine had besieged the city, and everyone was hungry. If they  entered the city,’ the famine is in the city, and they would die there.

There is currently a plethora of self-help books loaded with prescriptions on how  to look twenty years younger than your age.

It is debatable whether any biblical character, apart from Jesus himself, lived a  more fulfilled life than the Apostle, Paul. His earthly credentials and  qualifications according to the Jewish custom were superb.

A vessel is a container made with a capacity to hold a particular content. It only  becomes useful when it has that content in it, else it is just an empty vessel.

Do not compare yourself with others or judge yourself by their standards  (2 Corinthians 10:12). Comparison is a joy killer.

Living in the present, which entails appreciating where you are today, is the  easiest way to experience fulfilment in your life. The psalmist declared; “this is  the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).

Your thoughts are powerful; they can make or break you. Proverbs 23:7 says  that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. You cannot rise above the level of your  thoughts.

Some years ago, I had this journal in which I wrote inspirational messages, goals  I was working towards as well as specific promises I received from God each time  I spent time in His presence. It was a treasured possession, but then suddenly, I  couldn’t find it.

A tree is identified by its fruit. If a tree bears mango, it is referred to as a mango  tree. If it bears oranges, it is an orange tree. Similar trees can also be  distinguished by their fruit.
