    Talent Manager Muyiwa Awoniyi parts ways with Omah Lay

    Longtime manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi and sensational Nigerian singer, Omah Lay have officially ended their professional relationship.

    TheNewsGuru reports that Awoniyi via the microblogging platform, X on Friday stated that he is no longer managing Omah Lay but maintains a bond of friendship and support for the singer’s future.

    Shortly after the update, Omah Lay acknowledged Awoniyi’s role in his journey and expressed deep admiration for him in a heartfelt message.

    The exchange appeared cordial until another artiste, Kaestyle, reacted to the news with sarcasm, alleging that Awoniyi was sacked and simply using social media to save face.

    In response, Awoniyi clarified that his decision to manage Omah Lay was tied to helping the singer exit what he described as an exploitative contract.

    He claimed that the singer now owns his masters and runs his music career independently under his company, Boy Alone.

    He wrote: “I agreed to manage Omah to get him out of the very slave deal that you signed. Now he is out, I also am out. You on the other hand are a slave. If you know me, you know I’ve always been for the artist. Omah is exceptional and with Boy Alone now a fully established company, the journey moves forward on his own terms. The best part? He will now be owning his masters. I hope the delay now makes sense. Job done

    Nigerian singer-songwriter Omah Lay, better known Stanley Omah Didia, has mentioned that he finds Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) unattractive.

    Posting on his X handle, the ‘Soso’ crooner wrote, “BBL is old-fashioned and very unattractive.”

    Reacting to the post, one X user Ella The Virtuous Girl argued that societal pressure from men is a major reason women opt for BBLs. “Na these men dey push my gender to do BBL. They don’t toast natural women, always toasting the overload ones,” she wrote.

    In contrast, user Robertpeace1999 criticised Omah Lay’s comment, saying, “You don’t tell people what to do with their bodies, depressed boy.”

    Public commentator Adebola Williams weighed in, warning against following beauty trends blindly. “The danger of always moving with trends is that trends get obsolete too! Be timeless,” she advised.

    BBL practice has become prevalent not only in the entertainment industry but in various parts of Nigerian society.

    Nigerian singer, Omah Lay, has declared himself the greatest artist of his generation.

    The Soso crooner via the microblogging platform, X formerly Twitter, acknowledged that while he may not have concrete proof just yet, the evidence will come with time.

    Hi guys! My name is Omah Lay and I am the greatest of my generation. I don’t have proofs right now but there will be a lot in the future. Thanks. Yours truly, Boy Alone,” he wrote.

    This isn’t the first time the singer has spoken confidently about his artistic journey and future. In a 2023 interview with The Beat FM in London, Omah Lay shared his belief that he is one of the emerging leaders of the new Afrobeats era.

    He also revealed that he had developed a “new sound” he intends to popularise globally, further cementing his ambition to redefine the genre.

    With a growing fan base and hit songs under his belt, Omah Lay continues to position himself as a voice of the new wave in Afrobeats.

    Omah Lay, who gained fame with hits like “Bad Influence,” “Soso,” and “Understand,” is one of Nigeria’s most streamed young artistes globally.

    Stanley Omah Didia, the Nigerian singer fondly called Omah Lay, has been involved in an accident alongside his two Tesla trucks in Lagos.

    It is unclear how the incident occurred, but footage that surfaced on social media showed someone had crashed into the singer.

    Photos of the singer’s damaged truck, as well as a clip featuring an ongoing altercation were shared on social media.

    Reacting to the incident, fans expressed concern over the singer’s condition, inquiring if he was okay.

    To reassure them, the 27-year-old singer via the microblogging platform X, formerly known as Twitter, tweeted, “Clarity of Mind. God over everything.”

    Omah Lay started his music career at 15. He gained fame in 2020 following the release of hits ‘You’ and ‘Bad Influence’.

    He has won a plethora of awards and recognition. In 2022, the singer revealed how he battled with depression while recording ‘Boy Alone’.

    He, has however continued to make a name for himself in the Nigerian music industry, especially with his unique music style.

    Popular Nigerian singer, Omah Lay has recounted how one of his senior colleague stole his music idea and made an album with it.

    The Afrobeat singer during a recent interview with Zach Sang Show disclosed how he shared his idea with the unnamed popular musician because he wanted to collaborate with him, however, he noticed the singer, rather than work with him to bring the idea to life, stole his idea and made an album with it.

    Omah, said he had to remake his album and believed it would be the greatest.

    He said, “My song ‘Holy Ghost’ is a new sound. I was going to make the whole album with the new sound but along the line, I changed my mind.

    “I shared an idea with a certain artist and the artist went ahead and put out an album with my idea and I had to re-record my album.

    “He came to me and I accepted for us to collaborate. Of course, it’s an artist that I love. And I told him where I’m headed with the sound. Five months later, he put out an album with exactly all the same sound that I shared with him.

    “I had to go back and remake my album which is actually going to be the greatest album of all time in Afrobeats history.”

    Afrobeats singer Omah Lay has revealed how some senior colleagues paved way for him in the music industry.

    In a recent interview, the Omah Lay named Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy and Olamide has his footprints and prototype in his rise to prominence.

    According to him, the aforementioned artists helped him become who he is and get to the height he has attained.

    Omah Lay stated that he is unsure of what he is doing differently that distinguishes him from his contemporaries and everyone else, but he is confident that he is being himself when creating his songs.

    “I feel like I wouldn’t have been here if it weren’t for the previous generation, Burna, Wiz, Davido and Olamide they are the reasons why I am here right now and I am doing it like this. Yeah, I can’t say for sure what exactly it is that I am doing differently; I’m just doing me and it is what it is.”

    Popular Nigerian singer, Stanley Omah Didia fondly called Omah Lay had expressed his belief that the world would shake if the Super Eagles of Nigeria emerged victorious in the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

    He shared this sentiment during a conversation with West Ham defender Kurt Zouma, a clip of which was shared on the club’s social media page on Saturday.

    Omah Lay said: “It is amazing. You can see how crazy the people are going and you can see how everybody is jumping around. It’s amazing to see.

    “I’m hopeful that this is going to be the year for us. The world is going to shake! The world will shake. Live on the road doesn’t give me time to be in the football vibes as much. But I know for sure that if we win this [AFCON] it’s going to be very huge.”

    Nigerian singer, Stanley Omah Didia, fondly called Omah Lay, has opened up on the reason he became laid back about converting into Islam.

    In a recent interview with Wunmi Bello, Omah Lay revealed that he once considered converting to Islam but decided against such religious practices after attaining wealth.

    He said, The artist said he believes in God, but “does not enjoy religion anymore. As soon as I made money I just switched, I just believed in God and respected God, and then I became more human than just religion. I just do not enjoy religion anymore and I grew up in a Christian home and spent a lot of time in church.

    “At a point, I even wanted to convert to Islam, but I am now at this point where it is just me and God, no religion. I really do not know anything and that is the problem, it is just these books and everyone is saying this and that but in no way does it sound true.

    “These are just books that I cannot find evidence that this was written by God or his servant himself, so I feel like I do not know anything. In as much as I know the Bible, I know Jesus, and I know Allah.”

    Nigerian hip hop artiste, Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has revealed his girl friend’s shocking secret.

    Omah Lay revealed that his girlfriend told him that she’s a lesbian.

    The budding artiste made this revelation via his Instagram page on Monday morning.

    “My girlfriend just opened up that she has a girl,” Omah Lay wrote.

    Recall that a few months ago, the Port Harcourt-born recounted his struggle with depression and how it worsened after he slept with his therapist.

    He sang about his depression in a track titled ‘Soso’ in his debut album ‘Boy Alone’, released last year.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Omah Lay started out in a rap group under the stage name “Lil King”. He later moved on to songwriting and music producing, which went largely uncredited, and as a result of that, he released “Do Not Disturb” in April 2019. “Hello Brother” was released a month after.

    He signed to a record label named KeyQaad in June 2019, and took a seven-month break. During the break, he worked on his debut EP, Get Layd. 

    On 14 February 2020, Lay released “You,” his first official single. He released his five-track debut EP, Get Layd on 22 May 2020.[7] The EP peaked at number one on the Nigerian Apple Music charts.

    All five songs from the EP reached the top 15 of the Apple Music charts for Nigeria, with “You” peaking at number one. In October, Lay appeared on Olamide‘s album Carpe Diem, on the track “Infinity”, which topped the Apple Music charts for Nigeria.

    On 20 November, Lay released his second five-track EP, What Have We Done. All five tracks reached the top 12 of the Apple Music charts for Nigeria, with “Godly” reaching number one.

    On 3 July 2020, Lay was the first artist highlighted for Apple’s Africa Rising Campaign to spotlight African talent.] In December 2020, he was included in BBC Radio 1Xtra‘s annual “Hot for 2021” list.

    He was the first African artist featured on Audiomack‘s #Up Now program for emerging artists; was included in Montreux Jazz Festival‘s “20 artists to watch in 2021”; and was named BET‘s Amplified International Artist of the Month for November 2020.

    He is currently signed to Dvpper Music Distribution in Nigeria,[4][2] and Sire Records for international distribution.[17] He was nominated in four categories at the 2020 Headies Awards, winning the Next Rated award.

    On 25 June 2021, Lay was featured alongside fellow Nigerian singer Alpha P on Nigerian producer Masterkraft‘s official remix of Canadian singer Justin Bieber‘s single, “Peaches“. On 8 July 2021, Lay released a new single, “Understand”.

    On 3 March 2022, he released a collaboration with Bieber, “Attention“, which serves as the second collaboration between the two artists.
