    Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) is currently facing backlash for using a controversial photo to celebrate his colleague, Omoni Oboli’s birthday.

    TheNewsGuru reports that Omoni, on Tuesday celebrated her birthday, by posting a video from her birthday shoot on Instagram.

    The actress who appeared elated, donned a white outfit and surrounded by colourful balloons on a white bed.

    She captioned the video: “Happy birthday OMoney. So blessed and fiercely grateful!Through it all, you have remain faithful Lord! All that I am, all I will ever be, I give to you. Thank you for the love besties! I love you all so much.”

    Celebrating with the actress, RMD via his verified Instagram shared a controversial photo of them sharing a kiss on a movie set. He captioned the post: “Happy birthday STARGIRL!!! I can’t wait for our next round of movies.”

    The post however did not sit well with fans who felt the image was inappropriate, especially considering Omoni is married and a grand mother.

    A fan wrote: “Of all the countless photos of Omoni Oboli you chose to use this as a birthday picture? This isn’t nice Sir. It’s wrong…”

    Another added, “Una Dey get mind for this social media….. out of all the pictures in the world. Na this one you see wish person wife…”

    “Na person wife u hold like that de wish am happy birthday. Nawa o,” another wrote. One simply said, “Person wife.”

    Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli is beaming with joy after  her new movie, Love In Every Word, hit 10 million views on YouTube 6 days after it was deleted.

    TheNewsGuru recalls the actress’ latest film which garnered an impressive 6.1 million views within three (3) days of its release was deleted following a copyright infringement claim by Chinonso Obiora, also known as Skyberry.

    It was however restored hours after.  In a post on her Instagram page, the movie producer disclosed that  her new movie, Love In Every Word, has hit 10 million views on YouTube in just 6 days.

    The mother of three credited her Maker for her new feat, stating that God is in her story.

    Omoni expressed how in awe she is of her God, who she stated has taken her movie to the next level.

    She wrote: “GOD IS IN THIS STORY!!! Thank you, Jesus! We crossed 10 million views at the brink of 6 days, bestie! Our Odogwu God has done what no man can do! Our record-breaking God has taken LOVE.

    “IN EVERY WORD to the next level! We are in awe, and we submit to your will, Lord. THANK YOU BESTIES! The way you carry this movie! The way you market this movie! The way you have all owned this movie! It belongs to us all! Go ahead and rejoice! He’s doing it for us.

    “God will crown all your efforts with massive success! Our record-breaking King is in the neighbourhood, and He won’t stop until we are all blessed massively! Amen.I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH.

    Actress, Omoni Oboli breaks silence on YouTube deleting her film

    Nollywood actress cum film maker, Omoni Oboli, has addressed the initial removal of her movie ‘Love In Every Word’ from popular video viewing site, YouTube.

    TheNewsGuru reports that the actress’ latest film which garnered an impressive 6.1 million views within three (3) days of its release was deleted following a copyright infringement claim by Chinonso Obiora, also known as Skyberry.

    The removal of the film sparked an outrage with many of the actress fans expressing concerns, however, Oboli via her Instagram page on Wednesday, addressed the issue, dismissing the claim as a minor misunderstanding.

    The 46-year-old filmmaker stated that the issue has been resolved. She also expressed gratitude to her fans for their concern and support.

    “Hey besties, thank you for the love and concern. We deeply appreciate you all for your calls, messages, posts, tweets, comments everything! I’m sorry I couldn’t respond at the time,” she wrote.

    There was a little misunderstanding with our movie LOVE IN EVERY WORD. It’s been sorted out now and we are back stronger than ever!”

    Oboli encouraged her fans to continue watching and promoting the movie on her YouTube channel.

    “So let’s make up for the time lost besties. Time to make sure the whole world watches LOVE IN EVERY WORD on Omoni Oboli Tv on YouTube. God will forever be glorified,” she added.

    Released on Friday, March 7, the movie, which was produced by Omoni Oboli and written by Mfon-Abasi Inyang, explores themes of love, emotional resilience and communication in relationships.

    Former Big Brother Housemate Bam Bam and actor Uzor Arukwe starred in the movie, among others.

    Checks shows that ‘Love In Every Word’ has been restored on YouTube, retaining its impressive 7 million views accumulated within four days of release.

    Popular video site YouTube has deleted actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli’s latest movie, ‘Love In Every Word’, following a copyright claim.

    TheNewsGuru reports that the actress’ latest film garnered an impressive 6.1 million views within three (3) days of its release.

    Released on Friday, March 7, the movie, which was produced by Omoni Oboli and written by Mfon-Abasi Inyang, explores themes of love, emotional resilience and communication in relationships.

    Former Big Brother Housemate Bam Bam and actor Uzor Arukwe starred in the movie, among others.

    The film gained traction, amassing over 2 million views within the first 24 hours and reaching 4.3 million views in just 72 hours on YouTube.

    However, on Tuesday, March 11, viewers were unable to watch the movie as a notice on YouTube indicated it had been removed due to a copyright claim by Chinonso Obiora (Skyberry).

    The pulldown of the movie by YouTube has sparked confusion and outrage, with many social media users questioning the copyright claim.

    Nigerian latest movie  ”A Different Type of Love’’  has bee  pulled down from YouTube channel.

    Omoni Oboli, Nollywood actress and  producer of the movie, took to her social media platforms to explain that her film, ‘A Different Type of Love’, had been taken down from YouTube, after getting feedback about its striking resemblance with another movie.

    Her explanation came after she had been embroiled in social media drama, coupled with netizens pointing out its similarities with another movie on YouTube as well.

    “Dear besties, we know you are probably wondering why the latest movie is not available anymore on the channel.

    ‘’We have received feedback that it bears a striking resemblance to another film on YouTube.

    ‘’As a channel committed to originality, we have decided to remove the movie while we investigate the situation.

    ‘’We have engaged the scriptwriter to understand exactly what happened and we are working closely with our legal team to resolve this.

    ‘’Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Always remember that I love you,’’she wrote.

    Omoni   further stated that she had engaged the services of a scriptwriter for the film and investigations are underway to determine what actually happened.

    ‘A Different Type of Love’ was alleged to have the same storyline as another movie called ‘Hope Given’.

    Nollywood actress cum filmmaker, Omoni Oboli has recalled how she was denied a movie role over her refusal to kiss a film director.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the thespian during a recent interview with comedian AY on ‘Glasshouse show’, recounted that the incident happened during an audition.

    Omoni explained that the incident happened when she returned to Nigeria after taking a break to raise her kids abroad.

    She said, “One director asked me to kiss him at an audition, and I couldn’t understand why he would do that. So I was like ‘is this an audition?’ and he was like ‘yeah, I just want to see’ and I said ‘sorry, I can’t do it because I didn’t see any reason I would be kissing you the director when we are not on set.

    “And so I said ‘oh no sorry, I can’t.’ Guess what? I didn’t get the role that I travelled for, and I ended up travelling back without playing the role.”

    Nigerian actress and filmmaker, Omoni Oboli has weighed in on the public discourse of domestic violence in marriage and stressed that men are going through a lot and that some women are witches.

    Popular actress and filmmaker, Omoni Oboli has said that her husband, Nnamdi Oboli needs to propose to her again.

    The award winning actress noted that the proposal he did before they got married wasn’t romantic enough.

    Oboli made this known in a chat with media personality Chude Jideonwo.

    “I want my husband to propose to me again. I will not agree.Nnamdi if you are watching, you have to propose all over again. That one, I was young and it wasn’t romantic”.

    Speaking further, the award winning role interpreter who is married to a medical practitioner said her hubby didn’t propose in the usual way.

    “When we talk, he will always say things like ‘When we get married, our children, I told him, I don’t like assumptions. What is all these when we get married? I asked him, are you proposing? And he said, ‘I guess I am’. That was the proposal I got, ladies and gentlemen. I was young. Till today, I don’t know how I just agreed to marry him like that. I sort of know, because I fell in love with the way my husband loved me”.
