    Nigerians attack Orezi over burning Naira

    Nigerian singer, Esegine Allen, more popularly known as Orezi is one artiste who uses controversy as a leverage to create attention for his music.

    On Thursday, the singer posted a photo of himself burning a one thousand Naira note. Nigerians have however taken to their social media platforms to condemn the act.

    The ‘Ijo Shoki’ crooner shared the photo as artwork to promote a new single of his on his verified Instagram handle .

    Nigerians however don’t see the connection between the song and the burnt naira note.

    He captioned the picture: “Born broke, die rich”

    Black Panther fever hits Orezi in ‘Ijo Wakanda’

    Nigerian pop star, Orezi a.k.a Ghen Ghen master leverages on the Marvel produced Black Panther, creating a groovy song around the flick.

    The song produced by Dapiano is a fast paced dance track in which Orezi glorifies the bum of his love-interest, calling her ‘Omoge Wakanda’.

    So far fans of the singer have been applauding him over the new tune.

    Orezi graduated from the University of Lagos with a degree in Urban and Regional planning and majored in Landscape Architecture. In 2009 Orezi kick started his music career with the release of his first single titled ‘I no fit lie’ which got him rave reviews.

     

    Black Panther is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the eighteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

    The film is directed by Ryan Coogler, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Robert Cole, and stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa / Black Panther, alongside Michael B.     Esighene Orezi Allen a.k.a Orezi is a versatile Nigerian singer who has revealed his love for smoking marijuana.

     

    At many clubs, street corners, markets, schools, beaches and other exclusive areas, smoking marijuana is no longer considered novel, maybe obnoxious.

     

    In an interview with OnoBello.com, Oreiz said: “Yes I do, it’s not a bad thing .I smoke it to calm my nerves and when I am feeling some kind of way.”

    Orezi also disclosed what led to him breaking up with his girlfriend.

     

    “I and my ex broke up for same reasons previous relationships has failed. They cannot handle my lifestyle as an artiste. It is just sad. They always think I am cheating because I am always with women”.

    In the Nigerian music scene, artistes don new looks and hairstyles in order to look fresh and more visually appealing.

    Over the years the likes of Olamide, Orezi, Dammy Krane, Burna Boy, Wizkid and others have transformed their hairstyles.

     

    The heart of the matter is this, whenever some artistes change their hairstyles, others follow that same footstep, imitating the hairstyle. This has become a source of worry to artistes like Orezi and Tekno.

    Orezi recently changed his hairstyle and warned his colleagues in the music industry not to imitate it. This sparked reactions from artistes like Dammy Krane, who felt the outburst was unnecessary and subsequently called him an idiot.

    Orezi retorts:’You are failed artiste’

     

    Afropop singer, Dammy Krane has expressed his dissatisfaction over Orezi’s outburst at Nigerian artistes who imitate his hairstyle.

    Orezi in an Instagram had warned artistes who imitate his hairstyles. He wrote: “And they say the hair is not fine. WARNING – Thou shall not copy especially all you Nigerian artiste”.
