    Macaulay rejoices with Okowa at 61

    A former Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG), Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay has felicitated with the state Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as the Governor marks his 61st birthday anniversary.

    Macaulay in a congratulatory message said that though the birthday is once a year, he celebrates the governor every day because of his vision and inspiring leadership of the state.

    He said: “Your footprints in the sands of time are bold and visible to all, with accomplishments in politics and governance of gigantic note.

    “As we mark this unique day with you, my prayer is that God Almighty in His infinite mercies will grant you and your family speedy recovery; and divine health henceforth to steer the ship of the State to greater heights.”

    He prayed that the Governor’s new age and the decades ahead should be ordained with greater blessings and wisdom to successfully navigate the State out of its current challenges.

    Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay, a former Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG), has commended the demeanor, zeal and commitment of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on his birthday anniversary.

    He said in the commendation that the Speaker has exhibited an uncommon maturity, meekness and tact not only in his leadership of the state legislature but also in his mien as a politician and community leader.

    He recalled that Oborevwori has been in the service of the people and the state till date, rising from a Councilor to the peak of the legislative arm of the state.

    This he noted is no mean accomplishment and has accounted largely for the stability in the State Assembly since he emerged as Speaker in 2017.

    “The Speaker is resilient, steadfast and a bundle of humility. In spite of the level he has attained, he has remained modest in his dealings with people,” he added.

    As the Speaker marks his birthday, Macaulay wished him well and prayed that God will grant him divine health and more grace to contribute to the growth of the state and his people in particular.

    A former Secretary to Delta State Government (SSG), Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay has felicitated with the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa on his fifth year anniversary in office.

    In a goodwill message to commemorate the anniversary, Macaulay noted that the Governor, so far has done creditably well.

    Also, he lauded the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state for its sagacity in propping up a structure that has made possible the success of the administration.

    “It is five years of uncommon strides in a continuous harvest of democratic deliverables, touching lives and improving on the landscape; five years of steady infrastructure upgrade; five years of unbroken leadership in sports and macro-economic development.

    “Your Excellency, you are in fact a living proof that democracy remains the best form of government to have been evolved by man,” the former SSG said.

    Macaulay who is the Director General (DG) of Warri, Uvwie and Environs Development Agency (WUEDA), described the Governor as the Ekweme of Nigeria’s politics.

    He said that the past five years has been a period of Peace and steady Progress, and wished Okowa and the PDP family many more years of progressive service to humanity even as the Governor work assiduously on his Stronger Delta mandate.

    Covid-19: Macaulay donates food items to Isoko North, orphanage [Photos]

    As part of measures to mitigate the effects of the two weeks’ lockdown ordered by the Delta State Government to check the spread of the ravaging corona virus (covid-19), a former Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG), Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay has provided food items for his people.

    Specifically, he handed over 20 bags of beans, 110 tubers of yam and 15 numbers of 25litres of palm oil to the Chairman of Isoko North council, Mr. Emmanuel Egbabor for onward delivery to the very needy in the council area.

    Besides, Macaulay who is the Director General of Warri, Uvwie and Environs Development Agency (WUEDA) handed over 15 bags of 50kg rice, five bags of beans and four numbers of 25litres of palm oil to Owhelogbo community to be shared by the indigent ones irrespective of their political leanings.

    Also, similar gesture was extended to the Children Revolutionary Foundation Orphanage in Irri.

    Receiving the items for the Council area at the secretariat in Ozoro, the Chairman who was represented by Mr. Onome Eboh commended Macaulay for the gesture and urged other well-meaning individuals from the area to emulate him.

    Similarly, the President General of Owhelogbo community, Chief Owo Ovuakporie said the presentation of the food items was timely noting that since the lockdown the poorer segment of the society has been finding it difficult coping with feeding.

    He applauded the efforts and urged the people to pray for Macaulay who incidentally is the Okiroro of Isoko nation.
