You won’t have good home if you join feminism- Oyedepo tells women

The General Overseer of the Living Faith Church International aka Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has urged women against being part of the feminist movement.

The clergyman who gave the advice during a message to his congregation stated that feminism leads to frustration and devastation.

He noted that women of today ignore the Bible’s instruction to submit to their husbands because they think such is obsolete.

According to him, when the Bible says “submit yourself to your husband in everything,” women respond saying, “No, not today, that was before. Right now, nobody can do that. We are co-heirs, male and female, no difference.”

Oyedepo continued, saying such women think they are too smart for God to lead them.

He said when they are told that “this is the way to go,” they respond saying, “No, let me educate you, God. You didn’t go to school, did you?”

The cleric continued, “Right now, there is a feminine revolution. Then you get into feminine frustration and destiny devastation.

“You know something, no book on earth will ever overtake the Bible in currency. It is the eternal truth. While the earth remains, the truth of scriptures remains in force, you either choose to follow or go your way.

“For we can do nothing against the truth – no matter what civilisation we are talking about – but for the truth at all times.

“If feminist revolution is your vision, don’t attempt to get married, because it won’t work.”

Why I chose to wear white apparels – Bishop Oyedepo

Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide aka Winners Chapel Bishop David Oyedepo has explained why he is always on white suits particularly during public appearances.

Many of his followers believe he wears white suits based on spiritual direction.

However speaking during a sermon on Friday, Oyedepo said he wears clothes to cut costs.

According to him, white cloths are cheaper than others, stating that it is easier to maintain as it does not fade to other colours.

He said: “Do you know why I wear white? It is the cheapest thing to wear. White suits are the cheapest or you don’t know, try it.

“Praise God. I used to crack joke with a friend and said, you see my dress, the whole thing; how much does it cost because I have the permanent white up and down that I wear.

“If I don’t change, you can’t know because if it fades, it fades to white. White can’t fade to black, it can only fade to white”.

  • I have right to sack unprofitable pastors – Oyedepo

I have right to sack unprofitable pastors – Oyedepo

President, Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo blew hot on Sunday as he said he has right to sack pastors who are sick and unprofitable, warning critics to face their jobs.

Oyedepo, during a service at Faith Tabernacle, Ota, Ogun State justified the sack of some pastors in his church, saying that even in the secular, workers who are not profitable are always sacked.

“Rural Church is going on. All the offerings from rural Churches for the next 40 years cannot build what they are building for them because I learnt some fellows were saying that, “It is because they don’t have offering that is why they said they should go.”

“It is because you are sick, you are unproductive, you will be plucked out. We sent you to go to the villages to reach out to minimum of 12 souls in a week and ensure that minimum 6 of them come to Church. Then 6 months, you don’t have 10. You are unprofitable, you shouldn’t survive.

“Sound management brought us here Sir. Keeping unprofitable servants makes you a poor manager. Businessmen hear me now: keeping unprofitable servants makes you a poor manager. You have a right to resign, we have the right to sack you. It is a system, it works like that everywhere,” he stated in a post by Church Gist.

Oyedepo also spoke on the church’s ongoing 100,000 capacity auditorium, warning critics to stay clear as the church was not using their money to build the massive edifice.

According to him, “We are building 100,000 seat auditorium; did they collect money from you? ‘They should have built a factory’: who told you? Do you budget for somebody’s resources? Keep quiet my friend and face your job.

“They enjoy hearing from me, so I like speaking to them. Even UK government agree that our Churches are one of the best run charity in UK. Well, God is faithful.

“That is how your business will be. You will never keep unprofitable stewards in your system. If you have a driver who is always bashing your car, will you retain him? Before he will bash you yourself.”

Be available to your spouse, lack of sex can destroy your marriage – Oyedepo

The presiding bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Canaanland, Ota Ogun State, David Oyedepo has advised couples not to starve each other of sex if they want their marriage to be a happy union.

He explained that the temptation for extramarital affairs is high when couples don’t satisfy each other sexually.

He urged spouses to be available for their partners when the urge for sex comes.

“A sex-starved marriage is heading for destruction; spouses should be available for each other, otherwise there will be a tendency to go where they would be accepted because the burning must be satisfied,” he stated.

Speaking in the same vein, the Resident Pastor of Living Faith Church Jahi, Abuja, Pastor Chris Abraham, told the congregation during a wedding service on Saturday, that love was the foundation for a successful marriage.

He advised the newly wed not to expect perfection from their spouse, adding that love must be unconditional.

“Marriage is a covenant commitment to love an imperfect person unconditionally for the rest of your life,” he said .

He urge husbands to continue to express love to their wives by buying them gifts.

  • The only thing Christ punished for being fruitless was a tree – Daddy Freeze to Bishop Oyedepo

Controversial on-air personality, Daddy Freeze has disagreed with Bishop David Oyedepo for the reasons he gave over the dismissal of about 40 pastors from Winners Chapel.

TheNewsGuru recalls that a Winners Pastor, identified as Peter Godwin, alleged that he and 40 other pastors were sacked for underperforming.

Reacting, on Wednesday, Oyedepo said the only criteria for their sack was how many souls they won in the church.

Oyedepo maintained that the pastors were sacked because they were unfruitful.

In his reaction, Freeze in a post via his Instagram account, pointed out that the only thing Christ categorized as being unfruitful was a tree.

He wrote, “Matthew 21:19, New International Version.

“Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves.

“Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered.”

Pastors’ sack: No room for laziness, unfruitfulness – Fatoyinbo backs Oyedepo

The Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Biodun Fatoyinbo, has supported Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church International aka Winners’ Chapel on the sack of pastors from the church.

TheNewsGuru recalls that news of the sacking of pastors from the Winners Chapel broke the internet earlier this week when one Pastor Godwin, claimed that he and 40 other pastors were sacked for failing to generate enough revenue.

On why the pastors were sacked, Oyedepo said they were ‘unfruitful’.

The clergyman said, “People are confused about our Ministry. I learnt some fellows said, ‘you know, they are not bringing income, that is why they asked them to go’.

“We asked you to go because you are unfruitful. Unfruitful! Blatant failure. Doing what there? We have no patience with failure here.”

Backing the Bishop’s stance on the issue, Fatoyinbo took to his Instagram page stating that there is no room for laziness and fruitfulness.

He wrote, “No room for laziness and unfruitfulness. Question: If you were fired in the bank for not meeting up with your deliverables, will you go on social media?”

Fatoyinbo also gave a parable from the Bible, “He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

“Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

“And if it bears fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down. Luke 13: 6 – 9.”

Oyedepo confirms mass sack of Winners Church pastors, gives reasons

President and Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners Chapel Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo on Wednesday shed light on the sacking of some ministers on the payroll of the church.

The outspoken cleric while confirming the development that has dominated the social media space for some days now justified the sack of pastors saying they were “unfruitful” in their assignments.

In a video that has now gone viral Oyedepo said, ”When we employed 7, 000 pastors at once, social media was dead. We have more employees than most states in Nigeria and we have neither owed them or taken bank overdraft once.

”The pastors were asked to go because they were unfruitful. Many of the churches built can never pay for the church building in 30 years. We have no patience for failure here.

”We have built more than 1,000 churches in rural areas where in the next 30 years, they can never generate such fund, with each costing more than N14 million. We are hunting after souls, not income.

”People are confused about our Ministry. I learnt some fellows said, ‘you know, they are not bringing income, that is why they asked them to go.’

”We asked you to go because you are unfruitful. Unfruitful! Blatant failure. Doing what there? We have no patience with failure here.

”When we employed 7,000 people at a time, social media was dead.We have more employees in this organisation than most of the states.

”No one is owed a dime salary and we don’t borrow, we don’t beg. Ask our bank whether we take overdraft. We are covenant bound, working in the light of God’ Word, enjoying an open Heaven.

”Money: Nonsense! We have never lacked it and yet we have never prayed for it, we are just simply obeying God and He is backing up what He is asking us to do. Awesome God.

”Now the next set is about to be flagged off, just certifying the landed property issues, nothing else. We have no lack of anything. The world is confused. Walking in the light of God’s Word. Please, obey God to the full and watch out for His manifestations in your life.

”Well, you don’t need so much mathematics to know a thousand buildings; that is not N1,000 each, that is not N10 million each, that is not 12 Million (naira) each, that is not 14 million (naira) each. Some are 35 million (naira). At a go!

”We have never seen it ourselves. We just watch God doing it. The only criteria: How many souls have they gotten there? Then, build for them. How many souls? Not once: how much money do they have?

”You want to see what we see, go and do what we do. But if you are not saved, there is nothing you do that matters.”

According to him: “I am privileged to be among the few God shows things long before they happen.

“Some fellows were upset with me when I was talking against this evil government.

“I told this Nation, you are heading for trouble: 2015. Are they in trouble or in turbulence? Turbulence.

“I saw the wickedness of the wicked being forced on the land. Now no direction, no motion.

“When a Prophet speaks, he speaks the heart of God”.

What I told a governor when he gave me envelope containing money – Oyedepo

Founder, Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo has revealed what he told a governor who gave him an envelope containing money.

Oyedepo spoke during his sermon on Sunday in Ogun State..

He said in 1990, a governor gave him an envelope and that he asked him if it was his money or stolen money, because he would never partake in stolen money.

“One lady came from Switzerland many years ago, we were in Kaduna, I have told you that story before. She was cumbered with troubles and said, “Sir, please pray for me and I will give you an offering.”

“When I pounced on her, she froze. I said, “if you are not blind, you will know I am richer than you.” 1987

“A governor gave me an envelope here 1990. I said, “I hope it is your money”: you will find it in my various documents. He puts his name there, he said, “Sir, it is my money.”

“Not that I opened it and it was small. How dare you? Give me something! To do what with it? Operating in the reality of your future. You are not begging issues. I can’t partake of your stolen stuff. Glory to God,” he said as captured by Church Gist.

According to Oyedepo, “Many people have been blessing this Church that are not partakers of such money and the only way to keep seeing that happen is to tie yourself with God and then you find favour from God flowing in your direction.”

  • Only church businesses, investments surviving in Nigerian economy – Oyedepo

Only church businesses, investments surviving in Nigerian economy – Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo of the Winners Chapel has said only church investments are currently surviving in the Nigerian economy.

Oyedepo said church investments are doing well because there are no wrong additions.

Addressing his members on Sunday, the preacher, observed that other establishments and investments may be manipulated to look flourishing but are not.

Oyedepo pointed out that “believers” are doing well in the employment of labour in Nigeria.

He said: “Remove the products of revival from Nigeria economy, there is nothing remaining.

“Let me say this and I am saying this very boldly; the only thing remaining in Nigeria today are the investments of God’s people. The only one.

“You know the other people are busy killing themselves. No plan, no purpose, no forward-looking.

“Check all the employers of labour today in this country, authentic, not manipulated stuff. They are believers.

“Those are products of a revival. Unleashing financial fortune to advance his Kingdom.

“That is why your Church will be building rural Churches and at the same time building the Ark and building every other thing that is coming around.”
