Oyedepo tasks congregants on N200bn project for building rural churches in 2021

Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, David Oyedepo has disclosed that his church will spend N200 billion ($500 million) to build 9,250 rural churches in 2021.

Oyedepo announced this at the church’s annual programme, tagged: “Shiloh.”

He led the huge congregation to give for the massive project, which would create jobs for villagers.

Oyedepo disclosed that his church spent hundreds of millions of Naira to distribute palliatives in 30 States of Nigeria apart from 14 Countries.

He said the rural churches would be built without stress.

According to him, “This year’s Shiloh sacrifice is dedicated to the building of 9,250 sanctuaries in the countryside/hinterland.

“We are building for Jesus in those villages and to give them a sense of worth.”

The move will see the church building 100 seat capacity sanctuary for N14 million; 150 seat capacity sanctuary for N16.5 million; 200 seat capacity sanctuary, N19.4 million; 300 seat capacity sanctuary for N25.2 million and 400 seat capacity sanctuary for N35.8 million.

According to the Presiding Bishop during the early morning service of Saturday 12 December 2020, “We gave hundreds of millions in servicing palliatives across the Nation and across the nations of the world. We bought major things to help like ambulances and all that.

“So you wonder why we don’t have stress? We don’t have stress because we have an understanding of the covenant?
It keeps working” the Bishop stated.

The 66 year old Bishop prayed that the churches or sanctuaries would become solution centres for humanity.

“There is no one that partook of this sacrifice that will struggle to build a house. Many people will come out of their own houses before Shiloh 2021.

“There is no one that participated with His precious seed, it may look small in the eyes of men, your precious seed who will not return with rejoicing. Many will return with tears of joy. Many will be on the floor sobbing.

“My God will turn the captivity of everyone that partook of this sacrifice. Father we present these sacrifices before you, let it be a sweet smelling savour before your throne and let curses be averted like you did in the time of Noah.
Let the heavens over your people remain open; make between now and Shiloh 2021 an era of surprises, an era of unquestionable turnarounds, an era of tearful breakthroughs,” he prayed.

  • Asking me to contest for office of Nigeria’s president is demotion – Oyedepo

Asking me to contest for office of Nigeria’s president is demotion – Oyedepo

Presiding Bishop, Living Faith Church Worldwide, David Oyedepo on Sunday said he would consider it a demotion if invited to become Nigeria’s president.

Oyedepo, during his sermon, said God specifically, in 1984 asked him if he was interested in going top and that he answered in the affirmative.

He said God told him, “Then whatever I tell you to do, do it. Don’t run around: whatever I tell you to do, do it. Don’t muse about: whatever I tell you to do. Don’t do what they do: do what I tell you to do.

“1984! Do you know that’s what led me to say, “I will consider it a demotion…” and I’m saying it again, some are very upset about it, that’s their problem.

“I will consider it a demotion if I were invited to be the President of this great country. It’s a great country, it’s a great honour for anyone to be President but that’s not where I belong. I belong to ‘above all nations,” he said.

According to Oyedepo, “Angry or happy, there are more than 100 nations now hooked on to this service; and we all belong there together. That’s where we belong. Some can see it, others can’t see it: They say, “I don’t believe it, I just need food, water and eat, drink and die. I don’t need above all nations.”

“I’ve said it before, “the highest concentration of giants in this generation will emerge from this platform.” If you are one of them, let me hear your loudest Amen. The same way, this Church did not need any human help to get to where we are, you won’t bow to any devil to scale any height in your life.

“Watch, if I’m the one to lift you, I can only take you to where my hand can reach. Imagine the everlasting arm of Jesus, He picks you up, scaling everlasting heights. I can’t get you there. There is no help from man under heaven no matter who that man that will compare with help from God.:

Daddy freeze bows to pressure, apologises to Oyedepo

Popular Broadcaster, Ifedayo Olarinde aka Daddy Freeze, has apologised to the founder of Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel, David Oyedepo.

Daddy Freeze, while apologising to Oyedepo, said he insulted the cleric two years ago, adding that the video only went viral recently.

The broadcaster, who is the Convener of the Free the Sheeple Movement and Leader of the Free Nation in Christ, said this in a video on Saturday.

Daddy Freeze had come under fire from several reputable clerics, including Senior Pastor, Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche; the founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, and several others for verbally attacking Oyedepo.

He said, “My attention has been drawn to a video I released circa two years, seven months ago while addressing some pertinent issues that arose back then. I apologise for the delivery of my message and for any insult to Bishop David Oyedepo in that video as I didn’t in any way intend to dishonour, disrespect or disregard the person of the bishop.

“The perceived intention to the contrary is regretted. My methods of addressing doctrinal issues have long since devolved to a more scriptural and less confrontational approach. I was, and still, very passionate in my quest to address what I believe are unresolved doctrinal issues, however, from a more amiable perspective.”

Daddy Freeze expressed his “firm” belief that for the Christian faith to thrive, believers must collectively be open to adopting theological frames of reference.

He said this could be achieved in love only.

The broadcaster has been known to propagate controversial Christian doctrines which include the non-payment of tithes.

He has been feuding with several popular and influential clerics and described those who demand tithe as thieves.

  • How re-opening of churches led to decrease in Coronavirus – Oyedepo

How re-opening of churches led to decrease in Coronavirus – Oyedepo

Presiding Bishop, Living Faith Worldwide, David Oyedepo on Saturday said the re-opening of churches led to decrease in Coronavirus infections across the nation.

Oyedepo, at the church’s Covenant Hour of Prayer, CHoP, used Lagos and Ogun States as case study for his assertion, saying that COVID-19 had continued to decrease due to re-opening of churches.

According to him, some individuals were saying when churches were re-opened, there would be rise in Coronavirus.

“I’ve never seen where people think like that. The Church is ordained a solution centre for the world. This data is a clear evidence that the Church has the solution; when we pray, God hears.

“Thank God for the prayers we pray in the house; there is a prayer we pray in the Temple where the fire comes from Heaven and consumes the sacrifice. That’s why we are here. Jesus is Lord,” he said.

According to Oyedepo, “The same way, my God will level out every everlasting mountain standing before your life. You can’t be at the base of Liberation and be a victim of captivity. From now, they will start recording zero, zero, zero cases of coronavirus”

Churches in Lagos were re-opened on 9 August, while Ogun churches were re-opened on 16 August, 2020.

    Below is Oyedepo’s analysis

  • I carry eternal life, will lay hands on Covid-19 patients and they’ll be healed – Oyedepo boasts

I carry eternal life, will lay hands on Covid-19 patients and they’ll be healed – Oyedepo boasts

Presiding Bishop, Living Faith Church Worldwide, David Oyedepo has said he would lay hand on any Coronavirus patient brought to him for prayer.

He said he would not wear gloves to do so but would lay his bare hands on the patient to receive healing.

Oyedepo, who spoke at the church’s Covenant Hour of Prayer, CHoP, said Christians must be listed among the people God had vowed to honour this year.

“August is almost gone. We are in the 9th hour as it were, we are going to step into the 11th hour shortly: it is not late, you can connect.

“COVID-19 cannot be any reason why your own ‘Breaking Limit’ package will not be delivered. It’s not a tenable reason. No circumstance on earth will make the covenant of God of no effect.

“You can imagine a medical doctor, going back there to minister to coronavirus patients (documented testimony). He found something, while others are scared by everything they can see.

“Can you imagine anyone bringing coronavirus patient to me and I won’t lay hands on him? Will I wear gloves to lay hands on them? I will lay hands on them; breathe into them; embrace them. What you carry is eternal life, it’s not human life. You should know that,” he said.

According to Oyedepo, “You’ll now wear everything like a doctor, you have never been in a theatre in your life. You will be moving like somebody is under some attack.

“Someday, they will know that they have been deceived. They will all know that they have been grossly deceived. You’ve covered your mouth: do you cover it when you want to eat or there is no coronavirus when you are eating?
I just look at it and say, “what is all this?”

“It’s all the devil trying to dehumanize humanity. Don’t go near old people, yet you are buying food from them!

Do you ask somebody of her age when you want to buy food: “Hello Mama, what’s your age?” Age of what? Get out, my friend. I am selling something and you’re asking my age.

“The world will be free. I have a Liberation Mandate to this generation: my job is to see human beings set free from all harassment of the devil. Enough is Enough! Receive grace to constantly celebrate the Word of God; to embrace the Word of God by putting it to work in faith.”

  • FG vibrated, scared after I threw God’s bombshell on CAMA last Sunday – Oyedepo

FG vibrated, scared after I threw God’s bombshell on CAMA last Sunday – Oyedepo

Presiding Bishop, Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo on Sunday said the Federal Government and others were gyrating and scared after he threw a bomb exposing the evil of the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020 (CAMA) on churches last week.

Oyedepo had last Sunday said he would not live to see a supervising minister sacking the trustees of his church and appointing another as well as shut the account of the church.

He warned the Federal Government not to try it and that the church was neither a company nor club for the government to control and regulate.

Since Oyedepo spoke, the Christians Association of Nigeria, CAN had also rejected the CAMA law, describing it as Satanic and a time bomb waiting to explode.

It called on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately send the law back to the National Assembly for repeal as the Church would not watch unbelievers running the affairs of the church of God which is a spiritual matter.

However, Speaking on Sunday during his service at Canaanland, Ogun State, Oyedepo said the atmosphere was charged after he let out the bomb.

“The atmosphere was so charged with all kinds of information. Just try to browse and then your entire body system chemistry begins to change by an information that is not relevant to you; you are the one that went for it. It’s not relevant to you.

“My story may look primitive, but I won’t stop sharing it: I bought the last Newspaper in 1993. I am not a Media Specialist. During this COVID-19 propaganda by a lot of international media, I tried to follow through, I told my son, “never, again will I watch this stupid thing.”

”I said: my spirit man was choking by the volume of their lies. I shut it down. I am hearing purely from God at all time. If I say something sir, I am saying it by the Spirit of God.

”You know the bomb I threw last Sunday: He (God) gave it to me. They were gyrating, vibrating. You know that’s as my custom is: God tells me something, how you look is irrelevant; I will throw it ‘GBAM!’ YOU DON’T COVER YOUR HEAD, WHATEVER HAPPENS TO YOU; THAT’S ALL,” he said.

According to him, “everybody just got awake! Everybody just got awake because if everybody goes asleep when the robber comes, he will mess up the family. Somebody must be awake to wake up the other, “some strangers are here.”

”Then you stand up: “Who are you? Where are you going?” and then they are scared out.
I am awake in the Spirit. In the name of Jesus, no devil takes your life for a ride anymore.”

Insult me all you want, I don’t care!, Oyedepo tells critics

Presiding Bishop, Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo on Tuesday said he does not care if anybody insults him or not, saying such people are wasting their time.

Oyedepo received lots of Bashing on Monday for attacking the Federal Government and rejecting the Companies and Allied Matters Act, CAMA, that gives the supervising minister the power to remove the board of trustees of churches without recourse to the court.

Oyedepo had said, “In the document, they said the registrar-general can remove the trustees without recourse to the court. Don’t try it. This must be from somebody who woke up from the wrong side of the bed after dreaming. The person must have drafted that aspect in the bill as their custom is.

“I am 51 years old in this thing (Christianity), don’t try it. I have been with Jesus for some time and I am sent as a prophet to nations. That a minister can remove the trustees and close the accounts of the church is.”

Many Nigerians bashed Oyedepo for his comment.

But Oyedepo, on Tuesday said “I told you, if I ever preach a message where there is no laughter, don’t listen to it. I’ve been laughing like this since 1976 till forever. Since I found Matthew 6:33, I’ve been laughing at the devil, smiling as I serve. You insult me, I enjoy it. You insult me and I stopped going to work because you insulted me, I will be a big fool.

“I am going to work and you say, “see his leg.” Yes, I thank God for my leg. “See his nose.’ He (God) made it and He did it beautifully. “See how short he is.” That’s the size He made me for so I can save more cloths.

“He that sitteth in Heaven shall laugh (Psalm 2:4). If you are not laughing, you are not one of them sitting in Heaven because in Heaven, he that sits there laughs and we are seated in Heavenly places, what should we do? Laugh
    As you serve: laugh

“As they insult you: laugh; As they mock you: laugh; As they abuse you: laugh. Anybody insulting me is wasting his mouth: I didn’t hear (the insult). Even if I heard it, it won’t pain me. Anybody praising me is just expressing his opinion.

“I didn’t hear it and if I heard, it won’t blow my head because if you praise anything in me, it is Jesus. The greater in me is the One you are praising and you think I’m the one. Thank God for the privilege of stewardship. Ask God for grace to maximize this awesome season in your life. God is changing people’s stories, He has you in mind.”

CAMA: Manufacture your country and live by your laws – Presidency to Oyedepo

Lauretta Onochie, social media aide of President Muhammadu Buhari has advised the presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide Bishop David Oyedepo to create his own country where he can live by his own laws.

This is coming after the renowned cleric frowned at the Company and Allied Matters Acts (CAMA) being applied in churches.

Oyedepo had said he cannot be alive to witness a minister removing a board trustee and close the accounts of the church.

He rejected the newly amended Company and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) Law, saying the church is not a club and neither should it be mistaken for a company for the minister to have the power to remove a board trustee or shut the accounts of the church.

Oyedepo, during his service in Canaanland on Sunday, warned the Federal Government not to try what they were planning to do to the churches, saying the “church is God’s heritage on earth” and that it works “on the pattern delivered by God not the pattern of man.”

However, reacting to his statement on Monday, Mrs Onochie said the popular cleric would have to create his own country where he can live by his own laws.

“I hope this is not true. If it is, Oyedepo will have to manufacture his own country and live by his own laws,” she tweeted.

“As long as he lives and operates within the entity called Nigeria, he will live by Nigerian rules and laws. He will do as he’s told by the law. Enough of lawlessness.”

CAMA, signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari on August 7, requires that religious bodies and charity organizations will be strictly regulated by the registrar-general of Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and a supervising minister.

The law provides that the commission may by order, suspend the trustees of an association or a religious body and appoint an interim manager or managers to coordinate its affairs where it reasonably believes that there has been any misconduct or mismanagement, or where the affairs of the association are being run fraudulently or where it is necessary or desirable for the purpose of public interest.
