COVID-19: Oyedepo dares Sanwo-Olu, ‘decrees’ daily opening of churches in Lagos

Presiding Bishop, Living Faith Church Worldwide, David Oyedepo has decreed that the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu should allow churches to also open on weekdays in the state.

In Lagos, churches only open on Sundays and mosques on Fridays.

But Oyedepo, on Sunday during worship service at Canaanland, Ogun State berated the Lagos State Government for not allowing churches to open on weekdays, describing it as strange.

In his words: “I also heard something very strange last night that Lagos churches open only on Sundays. If I heard well, the markets open every day, public transport opens every day. Is Nigeria still a circular state? Churches in the north open everyday.

“My sincere advise to the authority is that please, review your stand. Since the SS3 students resume, is there outbreak? The churches in Kano opened about two months now, is there any outbreak? Kogi opened earlier on, any outbreak? Before the church will turn to somebody’s pocket, it is time for God to act.

“We will keep on hearing from heaven the latest from this altar as God liveth. So I decree the opening of churches for all weekdays in Lagos. A woman said in Ota market, ‘we that go to sell in the market are the ones who come to church to worship’.

“I told you sometimes past that I hope this is not an anti-church virus? Not I hope, I said it is an anti-virus. An end has come to every form of assault against the church. Freedom of worship is restored to our nation, from the north to the south, from the east to the west.”

David Oyedepo, presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has reacted to the reopening of Churches in Lagos and Ogun state.

Oyedepo who made the remarks while delivering a sermon during a Sunday Service held in his church and monitored by TheNewsGuru (TNG) online, threatened that fire will fall next time anyone tries to close down churches.

He also insisted that Covid-19 and response from the government is a scheme.

    His words

“Every solution is ignored for their evil vaccine, with all healing we recorded in this church and other churches, there was no announcements, except God is no longer ruling on earth, that is the only way those wasting human lives can escape. no constitution in the world can force anyone to take their demonic vaccines.

“I know a time will come when we will tell the world we have been fooled, But Thank God we have not been fooled. It is only in this church that we lay hands on Coronavirus patients, doctors, nurses, and free them and then they walk free, 29 persons at a time, we say be free in the name of Jesus and the get certificates that they are free.

“Could they (government) have asked me do we close down the church? No! they know where to ask and who to call, there are many pastors you can’t dare ask that question in Nigeria. Do you close down the courts houses? ogboni houses? don’t you go there yourselves? The next time someone attempts that fire will fall”

  • Oyedepo backs Dr Stella Immanuel, says COVID-19 is ‘mere noise from hell’

Oyedepo backs Dr Stella Immanuel, says COVID-19 is ‘mere noise from hell’

Presiding Bishop, Living Faith Church Worldwide, David Oyedepo has said that the world will soon realise that they have been grossly deceived by the Coronavirus outrage.

He threw his weight behind the purported discovery of Dr. Stella Immanuel that antimalarial drug, hydroxychloroquine, zinc, and antibacterial drug, Zithromax, were effective cures for the virus.

Oyedepo spoke at the Covenant Hour of Prayer programme of his church.

According to him, he had said severally that this coronavirus stuff was a mere noise, and a noise from hell.

“I watched something yesterday on the Frontline Doctors in the US. It’s a noise from hell and there is nothing hidden that is not known by God. Nothing!

“Every positive report contrary to that demonic propaganda is doused, it is not allowed to have expression because of the evil machinations of the perpetrators.

“Now, they will know that God’s greatest interest on the earth are the souls of men and everyone that is out to destroy them, my God will destroy them,” he said.

Oyedepo stated that there there was no week the Church did not have testimony of coronavirus, saying “it’s like fever. There is nothing there, it’s like fever! Evil intentions, evil scheming. What is coronavirus?

“We have found a cure” – they say it is not relevant. They got it off YouTube, got it off all the various platforms just to keep their propaganda going. But I can tell you this, God is in the midst of His people.

“Everyone that is after the souls of men to destroy them, they shall all be destroyed in the name of Jesus Christ.
Whatever they have as intention is falling on their heads, on their families, their generations in the name of Jesus!
If somebody comes out and say we have treated 350 people with this drug and none died, they say, “No, that’s not necessary.”

“So, what’s necessary? To kill them is necessary or to force your demonic vaccines on human race? Who knows what you have inside it? To turn human beings to properties for wealth sake, for political reasons?

“The same way Pharaoh perished because he won’t let people go, these evil men will disappear into shame and ignominy, wherever they may be and whatever forces are behind them. It’s mere noise. The Bible calls it noisome pestilence. It just came with noise, zero. Ebola came, we didn’t shut down.

“Zero. It didn’t make the first 20 of the worst viruses that visited the earth, so what’s the noise about? Well, the world will discover that they have been deceived,” he added.

Oyedepo said he had been saying that before, and that the world would soon discover that they had been grossly deceived, saying “I refuse to be deceived. I refuse forever!”

“Jesus is the resurrection and the life, what is coronavirus that everybody is making nonsense? Noise-making all kinds of demonic money. The good news is, Christ is still strong in the midst of His people. Our rescue is here! Those who won’t let others live, they will not live. Those who want to instill fear for their selfish reasons, my God will deal with them,” he said.

Coronavirus is beginning of ‘woes before Lord returns’ – Oyedepo

The Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church International, popularly known as Winners’ Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has disclosed that the Coronavirus pandemic is only the beginning of woes “before the Lord returns”.

Oyedepo stated this on Sunday while delivering a sermon broadcast live titled ‘Gateways to Financial Fortunes (4)’.

The cleric quoted several scriptures, saying that “everyone in the army of the Lord will manifest greatness in the thick darkness.”

He further said that “being in the covenant places a seed of exemption from the woes of the world on your life.”

“Just like when you stop breathing you start dying, when you stop giving, you start going down. Not just in finance, but in every area of your life. It is not something you do once and for all; it is a once and again covenant,” he said.

Oyedepo listed the “vital keys to world financial fortunes” to include being spiritually minded as prosperity cannot outgrow spirituality, and to engage tirelessly in covenant practice by making giving a lifestyle.

He listed others as walking in financial integrity, commitment to being a blessing to the helpless and humanity, seeking continuous guidance among others.

Those who fail to pay their tithes are cursed – Bishop Oyedepo

Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, David Oyedepo, says people who do not give a tenth of their income to the church are under a financial curse.

“Tithing is an inescapable covenant obligation. Prosperity not just wealth is impossible without tithing because when you are not paying tithe, you’re under a financial curse.” Oyedepo tweeted on Thursday.

In a subsequent tweet on Friday, Oyedepo, said many problems men face could be traced to their financial dealings.

“The way you handle your financial dealings determines greatly what happens to you financially. Many things that afflict men are traceable to their monetary dealings. False financial dealings can open doors to inexplicable afflictions,” he said.

While Oyedepo’s message was well received by many of his followers, some critics on social media described his message as archaic and improper.

Among one of the very popular critics of the Oyedepo message on tithing is, Ifedayo Olarinde aka Daddy Freeze, who opined on social media that Oyedepo’s message was wrong.

He wrote on Instagram, “Utter nonsense! Are you one percent as prosperous or as wealthy as Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet who don’t tithe? I personally find this unscriptural statement manipulative and cruel.

“Christ didn’t collect tithe neither did the disciples, yet no one was cursed! Tithing is the old law, obeying the old law partially, without obeying all the 613 laws of Moses is what carries a curse. That’s why to us Christians, it’s referred to as the law of sin and death!”

The critic, while quoting from Hebrews 7:5 said the law of Moses required that the priests, who are descendants of Levi, must collect a tithe from the rest of the people of Israel, who are also descendants of Abraham.

[Video] ‘It is no longer Coronavirus, it is now anti-Church virus’ – Bishop Oyedepo

The General overseer of Living Faith Church also known as Winners’ Chapel International, Bishop Oyedepo has described the coronavirus pandemic as an anti-church virus.

The 65-year-old made this known while he was preaching and lamenting bitterly about why the government has refused to allow churches to function.

According to Oyedepo as he is fondly called, Coronavirus is a strategy of the devil and his human agents to stop the growth of the church all over the world. In his words:
”Coronavirus is nothing but anti-church virus. Now, freedom of worship is no longer a constitutional right.

“It is now determined by certain individuals. This is no longer coronavirus, at least in two states- Lagos and Ogun, this is an anti-church virus. Caution must be exercised. Can anybody silence the church? Never. I have never heard of anybody that got healed in the market but God heals people in the church day and night. We have recorded 114 coronavirus healing testimonies, we got 10 this week. And that is the place that is vulnerable and not the market.

“This is anti-church virus we are fighting. It is the grand design of the devil globally to see how he can silence the church. Everybody is in the market running over one another every day of the week and there is no outbreak from the market but there is an outbreak from the church, perceived outbreak.”

Covid-19: Pastors who want churches to remain close are agents of the devil – Oyedepo

Presiding Bishop, Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo has said pastors who still want churches to remain close are agents of the devil.

He said some pastors were angry that he said churches should be re-opened.

“But they are too diplomatic than spiritual, so they just keep losing ground to the devil! Some Pastors who were angry that I said Churches should be opened and we are praying that Churches must be opened.

“Now, ask them: “Do you want Churches to remain closed?” They will just be looking at you. Do you want Churches to remain closed? because I know you are a celebrated Pastor.

“Do you want Churches to remain closed? Then you are an agent of the devil. If your children scatter around and you can’t see them; they now say when do you want them to come back? You now say, “anytime”, then you are a witch.
No, it’s just normal,” he said.

Oyedepo added that some were upset with Church growth, saying that “if you ask them, “Do you want the Church to start going down?” because some of them are Pastors. Are you praying, “Oh God, let this Church go down in the name of Jesus. Let this Church go down!” Are you praying like that?

“Find out why the Church is not growing. You must have a problem and most of the time, the problem is ignorance, not knowing what to do and not ready to find out. There are many, many Churches that don’t have any platform of contact with their members. They don’t have any: no house fellowships, nothing. They don’t have any and nature abhors vacuum. These fellows will start looking for options and alternatives: some to the cults and some to native doctors’ places.

“We have tens of thousands of House fellowships: vibrant. Even under this lockdown, my own outreach office has created 82 new Home cells for our new converts. There are many, many big time Churches, big networks that don’t have any contact.

“We must have crossed maybe a Hundred Million (Naira) of welfare packages to our people since this lock down began.

“There are some that don’t have any touch with them, you wake up in the morning and you are snoring?
Not only to our people, to the environment, communities, maybe about 70 communities that we have been servicing with certain needs,” he added

COVID-19: If Trump can declare places of worship open in US, Nigerian govt has no choice – Oyedepo

Presiding Bishop, Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo has reacted to move to re-open churches and mosques across the nation.

Oyedepo, in a programme on Saturday said 21 States in the federation had agreed to re-open churches and mosques, saying it was a welcome development.

He said other remaining states had no choice than to follow the footsteps of others.

“21 states are open to worship, the other ones have no choice. They should just know that they have no choice. Trump had declared places of worship open across the US. That is how God has been humiliating this noisome pestilence,” he said.

Oyedepo predicted that very shortly, every part of the world would totally be free from Coronavirus, as the fear of the pestilence would go into oblivion.

“Watch out, very shortly, every part of the world will be totally free. The fear of this noisome pestilence will go into oblivion. In one hour, all the bragging of Babylon was done. Judgment has come down on Coronavirus, its threat is over.

“The fear of it is off the sons of men. Every victim of this noisome pestilence is declared liberated today, Nigeria is free from the fear and torment of Coronavirus,” he said.

  • COVID-19: CAN distances self from Oyedepo, Oyakhilome, says churches must remain closed

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has explained why churches should remain closed despite mounting pressure in many quarters for their re-opening.

This is coming after General Overseer of The Living Faith Ministries Worldwide otherwise known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, said the continuous closure of churches when markets and other public institutions were reopened was suspicious.

Founder of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, also backed him, saying there was a calculated attempt to weaken the growth of the church in Nigeria.

However, in an official statement, he personally signed on Friday, CAN President, Rev Supo Ayokunle, said it was not yet time for churches to reopen.

According to him, the relaxation of lockdown had seen the country witness more coronavirus infection.

Ayokunle said: “The above relaxation has on the other hand increased the pressure mounted on us, church leaders, from our members for the churches and other places of worship to be opened.

“Champions for the reopening of worship centres argue that if people had contracted the virus in the markets and other places, closing the church from worshipping becomes unreasonable!

“It is like using medicine after death! Furthermore, the church is more organised and a place of healing.”

Despite these, the CAN President urge “all churches to remain closed because the daily increasing infected people in Nigeria is dangerous for the survival of us all.”

He called for caution among churches for reopening, saying “the church needs to exercise restrain at this time so that we might not naively and over zealously plunge our members into regrettable destruction and sorrow.”
