Controversial pastor, Odumeje declares his time to die has come

Controversial Anambra pastor, Chukwuemeka Ohanere, popularly known as “Odumeje,” has declared that he will soon die, saying his earthly ministry has come to an end.

Odumeje rose to prominence through his unusual style of deliverance, often likened to WWE wrestling, where he lifted and slammed miracle-seeking members of his congregation.

He also made headlines last year after a clash with Anambra State government officials during the demolition of his church, an incident that left him severely beaten and drew public sympathy.

In a video from his Sunday service now circulating online, the pastor told his congregation that the time for his departure had come.

    He said:
“I have called my little son, KingDavid, and told him that very soon, I, your father, will leave. You must take care of your brothers and your mother.

“I came into this world for a purpose, and that purpose has been fulfilled. I have completed my earthly ministry, and I will leave soon.”

Odumeje, who has faced several public battles and openly challenged native doctors to miracle contests, is 40 years old.

BLINDFOLD! Man pardons wife after being caught pants down with pastor, says she was possessed

A man has forgiven his wife for cheating on him with their pastor.

A Nigerian doctor, Stan, who shared the story said the man who happens to be a friend, had caught his wife having s3x with the pastor in their matrimonial home.

According to Stan, the man claimed that something must have possessed his wife because she acted out of character.

Finally, I woke up to a call today: “Hey man, all is good. Family got involved, and they are still at my house. As much as it hurts, I have to forgive. My wife didn’t know what came over her. Knowing who she is, I think something possessed her.” I was on the other end, asking, “Who made you stay?’ He replied, ‘My wife almost killed herself. I don’t want blood on my hands. Her family and mine begged me for hours into the next morning. If God can forgive, who am I to hold a grudge?” When he said this, I remembered Alozie, who was helped by John Doe and Ashkrine over something closely related. He’s made his choice, and he is not mad at me. I’m going to have to pray for him. “He who chooses his wife chooses his destiny,” he wrote.

Pastor in police custody for allegedly defiling 7-year-old girl

A 65-year-old man, Francis Ogwu, has been handed over to the police for allegedly defiling his seven-year-old girl domestic help.

The suspect, Ogwu, was arrested following an alarm raised by concerned residents of the town.

The media aide to Anambra Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare,  Miss Chidinma Ikeanyionwu,  said this in a statement to newsmen  in Awka on Thursday.

The suspect, a pastor and general overseer of Jesus House of Joy Church, Awka hails from Imo State.

He has lived in Anambra, with his wife and children, for over 30 years.

Ogwu confessed to the Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo, that he “just fingered the girl once”

He denied allegations of penetration as against what the seven-year-old victim said.

Ogwu attributed his action to temptation saying his wife usually denied him sex and that she made excuses of fasting whenever he desired her.

Meanwhile, the seven-year-old, who narrated her side of the story, said the suspect had carnal knowledge of her over three times.

She informed the Commissioner that her guardian Ogwu usually gave her money ranging from N500 to N1,000 after each experience.

She also said that at some point, she was accused by the pastor’s wife of snatching the husband from her.

The girl noted  that what prompted her to leave was the beating she got by the suspect’s daughter at any slightest mistake.

Speaking, the mother of the victim, a native of Awka, Destiny Nwabueze, stated that she handed the daughter over to the Ogwu family due to their cordial relationship over time.

Nwabueze said that she was shocked  when her daughter returned and told her of the development.

She revealed that she quickly called the suspect, who upon arrival denied the allegations, which prompted her to involve other people by raising alarm.

Reacting to the ugly incident, Obinabo said she would ensure the seven-year-old got justice.

The Commissioner advised women to always be vigilant over their husbands behaviours.

She also advised women to stop starving their husbands of sex as that could lead to bad behavior for some men.

Obinabo, who charged women to always protect their girl child at all cost, noted that defilement was no longer excusable in Anambra State.

Ogwu was kept under police custody as the case would be charged to court.

  • Real reason I relocated to US – Pastor Sam Adeyemi explains

Real reason I relocated to US – Pastor Sam Adeyemi explains

Founder and Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Sam Adeyemi, has explained why he relocated to the United States.

Adeyemi revealed that COVID-19, EndSARS protests, and, notably, troubling dreams about Nigeria, prompted the relocation.

He said this during a virtual interview with Seun Okinbaloye on his programme ‘Mic On’ podcast, where the duo discussed Leadership Beyond Governance Politics and the Role of the Younger Generation in Nigeria.

He said, “When COVID-19 started, all our children were in the US, so everyone stayed with their families. We stayed with our children. The week services resumed was when EndSARS started, so we were preparing to return to Nigeria.

“When the EndSARS protests ended in violence, we stayed back a bit. When we were ready to return to Nigeria, a different experience altogether happened.

“My wife had a dream in which she travelled to Nigeria and returned to the US, which was a bad dream. I told her I wouldn’t say I liked this dream.

“Three days later, I had a dream. We both travelled to Nigeria in my dream, and I was in a big fight. I was being attacked violently, and I had to ask the Holy Spirit in my heart what to do.

“He said I should call the name of Jesus Christ. I shouted ‘in the name of Jesus Christ’ in the dream and didn’t realise I shouted out loud in real life.”

The gospel preacher and motivational speaker, who hails from Kogi State but was born in Niger State added that whenever they plan to return to the country, a bad dream brings a setback.

“My wife woke me up at 2:00 a.m. by hitting me and asking what was going on. We decided to take it seriously, especially considering a dream we had three days earlier.

“We prayed fervently, sensing danger. Three hours later, I fell back asleep and had another dream. We were in Nigeria this time, and I was in a fight,” he added.

He further stated that he had never experienced two dreams about the same event in one night.

“A few days later, we called family members in Nigeria, and one person said, ‘I’m feeling very uncomfortable about you travelling to Nigeria.’ We called another family member who said, ‘I feel uncomfortable about you coming. What is going on?’ We just turned and looked at each other, pondering the situation. Then I said, ‘You know what? I’ve been a Christian for 40 years.’

“At this point, if God is speaking to me, I should have an idea that it is God speaking. Something is going on. I don’t know what it is, but I want to pray more.

“And at that point, we called a meeting of all the leaders in Daystar Christian Centre—the top 120 leaders on Zoom.”

The President of Success Power International noted that he informed the elders of Daystar about the situation and they agreed to keep the church running.

Take your first SALARY to your father not to your Pastor – Kanayo O. Kanayo

Veteran actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo has said that first salaries should go to fathers for blessings in line with culture and not to pastors.

The actor used his son as an example to buttress his opinion in an Instagram post recently.

Few days ago, the actor shared that his son, Clinton Onyeze had come on set to join him as an intern worker.

They completed the movie and his son was paid N50k which Kanayo collected N500 from and prayed over the money and his son.

Although, he revealed that the money the parent might collect from the son can vary based on different individuals.

The veteran actor believes that this is the more proper way to do things, especially in the Igbo culture.

    He wrote:

“Take your first SALARY to your father for his blessings NOT TO YOUR PASTOR.

And to that Pastor who said it belongs to him in a video in January, did you ever consider, the feeding/ transportation to and fro the office for that month? Where is this in the Bible?

CHRISTIANS WAKE UP. This is not Christianity.”

INCARCERATION! Coalition of 25 COS send SOS to Tinubu to help release Nigerian Pastor Egbaji detained in Benin+Photos

… demand urgent intervention of FG

A coalition of 25 Civil Society Organisations, CSOs, has called on President Bola Tinubu to quickly intervene in saving the life of Pastor Benjamin Egbaji detained since last year in Benin Republic over pumped up charges bordering on rape.

A coalition of 25 CSOs led by the Director General of Centre For Credible Leadership and Citizens Awareness, Dr Gabriel Nwambu stating that:

The essence of the entire briefing is humanitarian as the life of a Nigerian is involved and the case of Pastor Egbaji is pathetic as his health has detoriatted.

Nwambi in the statement entitled:’Injustice Prevails: Nigerian Pastor Falsely Accused and Unjustly Detained in Benin Republic explained that:

“In a shocking display of injustice and what we call an SOS, # SAVE PASTOR BENJAMIN EGBAJI, a Nigerian citizen hailing from Cross River, finds himself languishing behind bars in the Republic of Benin for over a year without trial in chains even in the hospital. He is being held under false, baseless, and spurious allegations, while his health deteriorates rapidly.

“The accusations against Pastor Benjamin were made by Pede Victoire, a citizen of the Republic of Benin. She claimed that Pastor Benjamin had raped her daughter, Ahouandjinou Dona Sarah, when she was just 13 years old. However, it is important to note that this claim was never reported or complained about, and no evidence has been presented to substantiate these allegations.

“The situation took a surprising turn when Sarah herself came forward and refuted the claim of rape.

“As a hypertensive patient, his blood pressure has shot up to 254/136 prompting the medical director in Central National Hospital Universitare Hubert K. Maga (pictures and video available for the press) to raise an alarm that if Pastor Benjamin is not released for proper diagnosis and treatment within a forth night, something more tragic might happen to his patient.

“Attempts to secure bail for the Nigerian, Pastor Benjamin Egbaji has hit the bricks because the Nigerian Government is yet to do the needful to save this Nigerian in a dare and urgent need for medical attention and justice. Although, the head of the Nigerian Consular, Republic of Benin has led a delegation to visit the pastor where he is been held in custody and has sent a note verbal to the Nigerian government to authorize them to engage with the government of Benin to secure his immediate release, but the requisite response is yet to be activated by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

“Consequently, the Centre for Credible Leadership and Citizens Awareness, in collaboration with a coalition of civil society organizations in Nigeria, urgently calls for immediate action to ensure justice is served and Pastor Benjamin Egbaji is released from unjust and harrowing detention in the Republic of Benin.

“Given the harrowing circumstances surrounding Pastor Benjamin’s case, it is imperative that the following urgent actions be taken:

    1. The Federal Government of Nigeria’s Intervention: We appeal to the Nigerian Government, in the strongest possible terms, to utilize all diplomatic ties and channels available to secure the release of Pastor Benjamin Egbaji. It is crucial for the Government to recognize the urgency of this matter and take swift action to prevent further violation of Pastor Benjamin’s rights and ensure his immediate freedom.

    2. International Diplomatic Pressure: We call upon President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the President and Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to directly intervene and exert International diplomatic pressure on the Republic of Benin to secure the release of Pastor Benjamin Egbaji. It is imperative that President Tinubu understands the gravity of this situation and utilizes his influence to facilitate Pastor Benjamin’s immediate release.

    3. Independent Investigation: We demand an independent and thorough investigation into the allegations made against Pastor Benjamin Egbaji. The lack of evidence, coupled with Sarah’s own account refuting the claims, clearly demonstrates that the allegations are false and baseless. An impartial investigation will ensure that justice prevails and the truth is revealed.

    4. Medical Attention: We urgently request that Pastor Benjamin Egbaji be transferred to a better-equipped medical facility without delay. His deteriorating health condition, particularly as a hypertensive patient with a dangerously high blood pressure reading, necessitates immediate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Failure to do so within the next fourteen days could lead to tragic consequences.

    5. Support from the Nigerian Government: We implore the Nigerian government to provide unwavering support and assistance in securing the release of Pastor Benjamin Egbaji. It is the government’s responsibility to protect the rights of its citizens abroad and ensure their safety and well-being. Preserving the principles of justice and upholding the innocence of Pastor Benjamin are essential to maintain the integrity of the judiciary in any democratic nation including the Republic of Benin.

The Centre for Credible Leadership and Citizens Awareness, along with our coalition of civil society organizations, remains committed to fighting for justice and the immediate release of Pastor Benjamin Egbaji. We urge the Nigerian government to act swiftly and decisively, utilizing all resources at their disposal to rectify this grave injustice.

“We sincerely hope that our plea for urgent intervention will be met with the seriousness and urgency it deserves, ensuring that justice is not delayed, and Pastor Benjamin Egbaji’s rights and well-being are restored.
    #SAVE PASTOR BENJAMIN EGBAJI
    Thank you.
