VIDEO: Adeboye says social distancing won’t stop him from laying hands on the sick

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has said social distancing is not applicable between him and his wife, Foluke.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Pastor Adeboye stated this on Sunday in reaction to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) protocol of social distancing.

Pastor Adeboye, while alluding reasons as to why Africans are not dying like rats from the dreaded COVID-19, also stated that social distancing would not stop him from laying hands on the sick.

Adeboye, fondly referred to Daddy G.O. gave the reasons in what seems to be a direct response to Bill Gates who had queried low COVID-19 cases and deaths in Africa.

“We have no money, we have no resources but we have God. They expected us to die like rats,” Pastor Adeboye said, while also giving reasons for not holding the RCCG annual crossover service at redemption camp.

He gave the reasons for not holding the annual crossover service of the church as submission to State and FG Government’s authority and laws and cooperation because he is under the authority of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

“The Government and the ministries like NCDC are doing their best to protect us. We shouldn’t be advised to wash our hands because of COVID-19; it should be our status quo even when Coronavirus is gone.

“Obey social distancing. Most importantly obey the Government laws on safety,” he told the congregation, adding “listen to the Government God would protect you but don’t be careless”.

  • Adeboye releases powerful prophecy about Nigeria’s currency

Adeboye releases powerful prophecy about Nigeria’s currency

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has prophesied that Naira will regain its value again.

The 78-year-old cleric’s prophecy comes as the naira this week exchanged to the dollar at N490 to $1 in the parallel market. Last week, the Naira to dollar exchange was N500 to $1.

However, Adeboye, on Saturday morning during the Church’s annual Holy Ghost Congress, said God will intervene in Nigeria’s financial sector and change the hearts of policymakers who deliberately devalue the naira.

While sharing testimony, at the congress held at the RCCG International Headquarters along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Adeboye recalled how he once cried to God when he needed N5000 during the church’s first Convention.

Adeboye said, “During our first Convention here at the Redemption Camp, I was bold, I asked everybody to come, free feeding. They came, I ran out of money. My wife came to me in the morning, ‘Sir, we need N5,000.’

“Naira was powerful then. It will become powerful again. Those who are deliberately devaluing our naira, before tomorrow morning, God will intervene.

“So, my wife said we needed N5,000. I asked her, ‘Do you need it today or later?’ She said today. I didn’t have a kobo. I told her to go. I cried to God that I needed a breakthrough. It wasn’t long after that, one man drove in, he wasn’t a member of the church.

“He asked what’s going on and we said we are having a Convention. And then, he put his hands in his pocket and brought out an envelope with some money.

“I then called on my wife and asked her, ‘How much do you say you need?’”

Pastor Adeboye drops bombshell on sponsors of terrorists in Nigeria

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has declared sponsors of terrorists in Nigeria will not cross the year 2020 into 2021.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Pastor Adeboye, fondly referred to as Daddy GO, made the declaration on Sunday as the church marked the October edition of its monthly thanksgiving service held at the Throne of Grace Church in Lagos State.

“I’m standing on this altar today, to decree in the Name that is above every other name, any terrorist and any sponsor of terrorists in Nigeria, will not see the new year,” Pastor Adeboye said while ministering during the thanksgiving service.

During the ministration, the cleric prayed for unity in the country and for a better tomorrow for the citizens. He prayed that all terrorists and their sponsors will not see the new year.

Adeboye also assured Nigerians that the Almighty God will arise against those pretending to be friends with Nigeria but planning to enslave the country.

He prayed: “Where they say there is no way, God will arise and make a way for Nigeria and everyone. Any form of stagnation in Nigeria will come to an end and every terrorists and their sponsors will not see the new year in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Claiming that God has given the country victory over the Coronavirus pandemic, Adeboye enjoined everyone to always give praise to God at all times.

He said: “We thank God for the victory over Coronavirus and we pray that the victory will be total and permanent.

“We also pray that God will help us to be united and let our tomorrow be alright.”

Adeboye who took his reading from the book of Psalms 68, verses 1 to 4, prayed that “God will fight for us, arise and make a way where there is no way”.

Earlier, the RCCG GO had counseled the Federal Government to give Nigeria a lasting answer to secession agitations and its economic challenges by restructuring the country.

According to Adeboye, the reformation of Nigeria must be done “as soon as possible” to forestall a breakup of the various social-ethnic components that make up the country.

The anointed cleric stated this on Saturday at a 60th Independence Day Celebration Symposium co-organized by the church and the Nehemiah Leadership Institute.

At the symposium with the theme, ‘Where will Nigeria be in 2060?’ Adeboye offered the adoption of a merger of the British style of government and the American system of government to pave the way for Nigeria’s future.

The ex-lecturer at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Lagos said, “Why can’t we have a system of government that is 100 per cent Nigerian, unique to us? For example, we started on with the British system of government, somewhere along the line, we moved over to the American system of government.

“Can’t we have a combination of both and see whether it could help us solve our problems because in Mathematics if you want to solve a problem, you try what we call Real Analysis, then if it doesn’t work, then you move on to Complex Analysis and see whether that will help you. If that fails, you move on to Vector Analysis and so on.

“I believe that we might want to look at the problems of Nigeria in a slightly different manner. Some people feel that all our problems will be over if Nigeria should break up. I think that is trying to solve the problems of Nigeria as if it is a Simple Equation. The problems of Nigeria will require quite a bit of Simultaneous Equation and some of them are not going to be Linear either – forgive me I am talking as a Mathematician.

“Why can’t we have a system of government that will create what I will call the United States of Nigeria? Let me explain. We all know that we must restructure. It is we restructure or we break, you don’t have to be a prophet to know that one. That is certain – restructure or we break up.

“Now, we don’t want to break up, God forbid. In restructuring, why don’t we have a Nigerian kind of democracy? At the federal level, why don’t we have a President and a Prime Minister?

“If we have a President and a Prime Minister and we share responsibilities between these two so that one is not an appendage to the other. For examples, if the President controls the Army and the Prime Minister controls the Police. If the President controls resources likes oil and mining and the Prime Minister controls finance and inland revenue, taxes, customs etc. You just divide responsibilities between the two.

“At the state level, you have the governor and the premier, and the same way, you distribute responsibilities between these people in such a manner that one cannot really go without the other. Maybe we might begin to tackle the problems.”

Pastor Adeboye addresses those angry with his teachings

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has distinguished between his ‘children’ and ‘outsiders’, saying those who are not okay with his message should not be angry with his preaching.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Pastor Adeboye stated this in his sermon on Sunday, following the backlash that trailed his birthday message for his wife, Folu, which tends to the submission of women in marriage, a topic that has been a source of controversy for so many.

While saying out of the lockdown, mighty breakthroughs will come into the lives of God’s children, in continuation of his ‘From Lockdown to Leaping Up’ teaching series, the RCCG GO said, “As a matter of fact, if there is a way of preaching this sermon just to my own children alone, that is what I would have done.

“Not because I am selfish, but occasionally there are things you say to your children that will annoy outsiders. But I keep on saying, but I am not talking to you; I am talking to my children. But now lockdown has made the door open to everybody”.

Fondly referred to as Daddy GO, Pastor Adeboye in his sermon, stated that it is far better to remain ordinary than to become an ex-success, stressing that one of the most dangerous things that can happen to a man is to be successful before his time.

“Before you begin to leap up and plan for mighty things that will happen after the lockdown, please think. The taller the tower is going to be, the deeper must be the foundation.

“You entered this lockdown with nothing, by this time next year, as my Lord lives, you won’t be able to recognize yourself. Before you take off, you must consider landing because it is important to have a very good ending.

“Do you know that if you make God your partner, He will show you business ideas that will baffle the world? Out of the lockdown, mighty breakthroughs will come into the lives of God’s children in Jesus name,” Pastor Adeboye said.

  • I will not rest until rapists are brought to justice – Adeboye

The General Overseer (GO) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, says he and his prayer warriors will not rest in prayers until the perpetrators of rape are accorded stiffer penalty.

Adeboye said during a live programme on DOVE TV, monitored in Ibadan on Sunday, that the issue of rape had become rampant in the society.

He described rape as bad and unbiblical that it could leave a permanent scare on the victim for the rest of her life.

According to him, there is no pain that can be compared to the pain on the parents whose daughter had been raped.

“Myself and prayer warriors will not rest in prayers until the perpetrators of this evil are brought to justice, not only in Nigeria but all over the world.

“Everyone who has ever committed rape, particularly in Nigeria and the world, the all-knowing God will fish them.

“As much as I hate death sentence, I think every form of punishment that will be given to a rapist cannot be considered too severe.

“Anyone, who ever thinks of raping someone again, the almighty God will stop them even before they do so and if they insist God will take them away.

“I am calling on every Christian all over the world to please join me in this prayer,” he said.

Adeboye also urged the faithful never to embrace the spirit of ‘good enough’ because it could be an enemy of greatness.

“Your journey to the top begins when you start sensing that what you call ‘good’ is not enough; the greatest enemy is when you think that you are already great while you are still incomplete.

“Your journey to the top begins when you become aware that God reserves the best till the last; the journey to the top begins from your knees and acknowledging Christ as your lord and saviour,” he said.

He, therefore, urged those who had not surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ to do so in order to each the desired place of destiny God had designed for them.

  • No financial qualification to enter Heaven – Reno Omokri

Reactions have continued to trail Pastor E. A. Adeboye comments that Christians defaulting payment of their tithes will not make heaven, as Reno Omokri has said there is no financial qualification required for Christians to make Heaven.

TheNewsGuru reports the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), in a video, quoting Matthew 23:23, said the Bible stressed payment of tithe and not otherwise, before going ahead to say Christians who default tithes payment will not make Heaven.

“No pastor can set a financial qualification to entering Heaven,” the former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan stated, while adding: “Paying tithes has nothing to do with entering heaven. Such pastors should read 1Timothy 6:5-6”.

Popular on-air personality, Daddy Freeze, who shared the video on his Instagram handle, had stated his disappointment in the man of God and queried if the man of God was in his right senses.

“Let me show him the Bible today and teach him that tithing is what ensures people of hell! Jesus said love your neighbor as yourself, yet they disobey Jesus by building schools their neighbours can’t attend, often with their neighbours’ contribution. How can you disobey Jesus and tell me to obey Malachi?

“Mark 12:31 NIV the second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these. Tithing is the law and teachers of the law are going to Hell according to the Bible,” Daddy Freeze surmised.

According to Reno Omokri, “The only qualification Jesus gave for entry to heaven is that you should be born again then born of water and the Spirit”.
