  • Prophet who allegedly kidnapped a lady and turned her into a prostitute arrested

Prophet who allegedly kidnapped a lady and turned her into a prostitute arrested

Enyeribe Nkwocha has been arrested for allegedly abducting a woman, Sandra, and turning her into a prostitute.

The Ndiegoro police division in Aba, Abia state made the arrest after the woman made a complain to the police. Sandra said that the man, who is a man of God, told her that God wants to use her for missionary work.

She said:“He told me that God said he should use me for missionary work and that he will be saving any money I will make from preaching in his friend’s account and he will use it to build a church for me because he saw that I have the gift of prophecy.”

“He said God told him I should not marry and have children; whenever a man wants to marry me, he will ask me to forget about him. He has been taking me from one hotel to the other and using me to make money.”

“He made me to forget about my family since then. I believe he used charm on me because he forced me to swear to an oath with him right inside the taxi when he kidnapped me. So I stopped communicating with my parents.”

“But last Christmas, he collected N20, 000 from me, making it about N100, 000 I have given him. After some days, I started realizing myself and asked him if the money I had been giving him was not enough to build the church he promised to build for me.”

“He then told to go back to my family. But he warned me not to tell them about the gift of prophecy he told me about and that if I did, they would poison me. That was how I started thinking about how my family members would poison me and then I regained my consciousness.”

The suspect, however, denied the allegations and claimed that the lady is his girlfriend and she made the accusations because they were having problems.

He said: “She is my girlfriend that I met in Bayelsa State. At a time, I wanted to get married to her but she refused to marry me. So, I married another woman and I didn’t tell her that I got married.”

When she found out that I was married, she got offended; that was what caused the problem we are having now.”

The state’s commissioner of police, Adeleye Oyebade, confirmed the arrest of the suspect.

  • Rituals: Pastor absconds after allegedly killing church member for rituals in Delta

Rituals: Pastor absconds after allegedly killing church member for rituals in Delta

Jessiah (surname withheld), a Pentecostal church pastor whose church is in Ugbolu community near Asaba, Delta state is currently on the run after he allegedly killed one Ejiofor Ujah, a member of his church during prayer session for rituals.

According to Leadership, Ujah was allegedly called by the pastor for a prayer session but was not seen after that. His body was later found by a hunter in a soak-away not too far from the church, with the pastor’s whereabouts unknown.

The police public relations officer in the state, Mr. Andrew Aniamaka, confirmed the incident, saying two persons have been arrested are still being detained in connection with the act, while investigation is ongoing with a view to arresting the fleeing suspects (the pastor and two others).

Findings revealed that the incident which occurred Tuesday, February 7, in Ugbolu community, has put terror in the hearts of residents around the area. The church has been deserted by its members since the incident involving their general overseer occurred.

An insider, Kate Okafor alleged that the pastor had on the fateful Tuesday called the victim for a prayer session and in response, the victim who allegedly smelt a rat of danger told the wife of his movement to the church before the bubble burst.

But this was not to be when the victim the following day did not return home, this created suspicion and the wife raised the alarm as after she visited the church in her efforts to see the husband met a brick wall.

Mrs. Rosemary Ujah, the victim’s wife said; “I was confused when I did not find my husband in the church two days after and I raised the alarm after reporting to the police at Ugbolu Police Division and a search party conducted which discovered his corpse in soak away”.

Unconfirmed sources said the pastor had allegedly been found suspicious before the incident as many occasions, he performed unholy act in the church.

  • Soldiers beat RCCG Pastor to stupor for refusing to ‘frog jump’

A pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Abuja, Alex Ochienu, has narrated how he was beaten by two soldiers into coma for refusing to obey their order to do frog jumps.

The cleric alleged that he was flogged by Cpl. M. Dankwa and his colleague whose name he did not know, until he collapsed and was rushed to the Gwarimpa General Hospital.

The civil engineer said he was supervising construction works at Paradise Estate, Life Camp, Abuja when the soldiers invaded the site with officials of the Development Control Department and assaulted him and other workers.

Accoromg to a report by Northern City News, Ochienu lost his phone during the incident which occurred on January 17, 2017 at 3pm.

In Ochienu’s words: “The soldiers rushed into the site and ordered everyone to frog-jump; they flogged the workers and threatened to shoot us. I tried to explain to them that I was weak because I was fasting, but Dankwa was infuriated by my explanation.

“He kicked me in the stomach; another soldier also joined in beating me till I collapsed. When they saw that I was almost lifeless, they left and I was rushed to the hospital by the workers.”

The cleric said he learnt the soldiers apologised to the owners of the estate “for their mistake.”

TheNewsGuru.com reports that Ochienu plans to take legal action against the Development Control Department and the military for the assault.

The Paradise Estate Project Manager, Tobias Tokbe, said he was not at the scene, but added that beside Ochienu, another worker, Bem Ali, was also brutalised by the soldiers without any reason.

He said, “I was discussing with the development control officials at the project office when I saw some workers carrying somebody and they told me Ochienu was beaten by the soldiers that accompanied the development control officials to the site; I was livid.

“I immediately called the development control director who said he didn’t authorise the soldiers to attack anyone. We asked the soldier why he beat up the engineer and he said Ochienu grabbed his jacket, which we know was a lie.”

Tokbe said the riot policemen guarding the estate almost fought with the soldiers after the incident.

When contacted, the Development Control Director, Muktar Galadima, said he was informed about the incident and “I said sorry, but I didn’t see the victim of the attack.”

  • Apostle Suleman sacks branch pastor for using church name to play MMM

A pastor in one of the Nigerian branches of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide has been expelled from the ministry.

According to a statement signed by Pastor David Apelorioye, the head of admin at OFM, Pastor Joseph Aiyedun, who is in charge of one the OFM branches in Aba, Abia State, was fired for participating in the Mavrodi Mondial Movement (MMM), a ponzi scheme widely acclaimed to be a satanic venture.

It should be recalled that the founder and president of the OFM, Apostle Johnson Suleman, at a church service in November 2016, warned members of his congregation against involving in MMM, calling it ‘demonic’.

The statement from the church reads thus; “The management of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide is using this medium to react to a news making the rounds on the social media regarding one of his pastors who used the ministry’s name to register for the MMM scheme.

Ordinarily, the church would not have reacted to the story because of falsehoods being published regularly by some blogs and news websites whose credibility are questionable.

But after a thorough investigation by the church authority, it was established that one of our branch pastors in Aba, Pastor Joseph Aiyedun, indeed participated in the scheme.”

The statement adds that the erring pastor was sacked after a thorough investigation and it was discovered that he used the name of the church to register for MMM, thereby denting the ministry’s image in the public eye.

It was gathered that the erring pastor would have just been disciplined in line with the church rules if he had registered for the scheme in his personal capacity but because he used the ministry’s name for the scheme, he was asked to go.

“The church authority decided to expel Pastor Aiyedun not because he registered for the ponzi scheme but because he involved the ministry’s name in the satanic adventure.

And we discovered that he was able to use the ministry’s name because he had access to the account of his branch which itself is against the church’s guidelines and a fraud likely to have been carried out in connivance with the branch’s account department. We are still investigating further to unravel the whole activities.”

The statement therefore appeals to the general public to disregard any news being passed around about Omega Fire Ministries involving in the MMM scheme or any scheme of its kind because it is not true.

“Of the OFM’s 200 churches in Nigeria alone and its 800 branches in 51 nations of the world, it is possible for any of the pastors to go astray and be corrected. In fact, we discovered that Pastor Aiyedun, including some other members of OFM, did the scheme before our father, Apostle Johnson Suleman made the warning last year against MMM, but Pastor Aiyedun was fired because he did it with the ministry’s name as the OFM rules forbid any of its pastors access to the account except people in the account department.”

It was gathered that to enable him look after his family whilst he searches for other things to do in life, the church paid the sacked pastor a full one year salary ahead on the instruction of Apostle Suleman who was not available for comments at press time.
