    REVEALED! Patrick Doyle remarries after divorce with wife Ireti

    Popular Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle, has remarried after his official divorce with his wife, Ireti Doyle.

    They had parted ways about three years ago, however, the reasons were not revealed to anybody before the media blitz last week on social media networks.

    The duo kept their separation a secret until Ireti declared that they were officially divorced in a recent interview.

    According to the Nollywood Actress, she had no business with marriage when she became a mother.

    She also questioned her choice of spouse but didn’t hit the nail on the head as to what led to her divorce.

    Barely a few hours after her interview, pictures of Doyle and his new wife signing the dotted lines in a marriage registry also surfaced online.

    In the video, the two stood together in a loved-up position while taking pictures.

    The woman revealed they got married in March when Doyle celebrated his birthday.

    She thanked God for the successful event while flaunting her engagement ring in the video.

    Nollywood actress, Iretiola Olusola Doyle, popularly known as Ireti Doyle, a mother of six children, has revealed that she had her first child at the age of 19, as she confirmed her divorce from a veteran broadcaster, Patrick Doyle.

    According to the actress, who made the revelation during an interview with Chude, there is a time to be silent and a time to speak.

    Ireti noted that she is no longer married to film producer and actor husband Patrick, with whom she shares six children.

    “We are officially divorced” she confirmed.

    Ireti posted a clip of the interview on her Instagram page.

    The 55-year-old explained that she had her first child at the age of 19, stressing that “she had no business being married at that time.”

    “When you’re an adult, it’s not a life and death situation…there are some situations that are way beyond your control. The truth of the matter is that I had no business being married at that time, period! let’s not talk go to the choice of who I married.

    “I can’t sacrifice my life in the alter of your imagination or your fantasy. In this age where everything one says is scrutinized and quartered; it takes a certain level of trust to bare intimate details .. we are here now,” she wrote.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Ireti, who also is an entertainer, TV presenter, writer and public speaker, produced and presented her own fashion and lifestyle show titled Oge With Iretiola for ten years and at different times anchored several television shows, like Morning Ride, Today On STV and Nimasa This Week on Channels TV.

    She was nominated at the 2016 Africa Movie Academy Awards in the Best Actress In A Leading Role category for her portrayal of Dr. Elizabeth in the Ebony Life film Fifty.

    Ireti also appeared in The Arbitration and The Wedding Party, Other films include Dinner and Madam President. On television, she has created characters on shows like Fuji House Of Commotion, Dowry, and Gidi Up.

    Singer and songwriter, Ebele Iruobe, popularly known as Waje, is poised to set a new music industry record, as she is to release three albums in five months.

    According to the music industry librarians, executives and experts, Waje will be the first artist to release three albums within five months and this is believed to be an African and perhaps global record and it is no mere feat.

    Gathering millions of streams from the first two albums, ‘WAJE 2.0’ which was released on the 22nd of July, 2022, a ten-track album with features from Falz, Masterkraft, and Tiwa Savage, ‘UNBROKEN’ released on the 1st of September, 2022 as a thanksgiving album to mark her birthday and celebrate God’s love and grace for almost twenty years of unwavering performances as a professional in the music industry.

    Sources hinted that the singer had been working all year round towards this goal amongst other impact projects.

    When asked why she attempted this ground-breaking achievement, Waje said: “I have had a truly blessed career, the opportunity to add to the development and growth of the music industry in almost 20 years. I believe it is time to have some legacy projects and jumpstart a more global phase of my career”.

    Waje set to release three albums in five months

    Stating this with a smile on her face, she concluded by saying, “the third album is set to be released on the 30th of December 2022, titled ‘THE MISFIT’ and this will complete the record. I am so proud of the body of work and the amazing collaborations with major artists from Nigeria, Ivory coast and France. I am so excited and cannot wait for you all to listen to this album.”

    She first gained recognition after being featured on the remake of P-Square’s “Omoge Mi”. Waje was also featured on the duo’s 2008 hit track “Do Me”. Moreover, she contributed vocals to Banky W’s “Thief My Kele” and M.I’s “One Naira”.

    In 2016, Waje was one of the four judges in the inaugural season of The Voice Nigeria.

    Waje has shared the stage with artists such as Wyclef Jean in South Africa, opening for Kerry Hilson during a show organized in Calabar, and has also worked with artists who had hit singles, including “One Naira” with M.I and “Do Me” with P-Square.

    She collaborated with Dencia on “True Love” and has songs that have received awards and nominations. She released her self-titled debut studio album Words Aren’t Just Enough in 2013.

    Waje made her acting debut in the 2014 film Tunnel, alongside Femi Jacobs, Patrick Doyle, Nse Ikpe-Etim and Lepacious Bose. Directed by Stanlee Ohikhuare, the film is centered around a young pastor’s life.

    In November 2014, she released the music video for the Diamond Platnumz-assisted “Coco Baby”. In August 2015, she released the single “Left for Good”, featuring Patoranking and Godwin Strings.

    Waje was featured on “Strong Girl”, the theme song for One‘s Poverty is Sexist campaign, and also joined Bono for the Lagos campaign in 2015. She was announced as one of the judges on The Voice Nigeria, alongside 2face IdibiaTimi Dakolo and Patoranking.

    Popular actor and broadcaster, Patrick Doyle has averred that Rita Dominic, an actress, and Fidelis Anosike, a media mogul, are “deeply in love” with each other.

    Doyle In a post on his Facebook page on Sunday said they “deserve to be happy”.

    The broadcaster’s post comes after Rita had shared rare loved-up photos of herself with Fidelis, leaving the impression that he was her lover.

    Joining Nigerians who expressed their pleasure about Rita’s picture, Patrick shared a picture of the pair together while wishing them well.

    “Fidelis, I have known and interacted with over the years and I have come to respect him a great deal, Rita, I have encountered socially on a good number of occasions and I find her to be a very personable and charming lady,” he wrote.

    “I have been with both of them on one memorable occasion and my impression is that they are deeply in love with each other. I wish them well, they both deserve to be deliriously happy.”

    In a new development, ace broadcaster, Patrick Doyle decline commenting over the union hitting the rocks.

    The veteran journalist who was a guest on Plus TV Africa noted that whatever is related to his family is personal.

    “It is beneath you to ask me questions about that on this show. My personal life should not be talked about. Anyone who talks about his personal life must be a very inadequate person. That is why it’s called personal, if it wasn’t personal it would have been called public .My public life is the work that I do, I interface with the public through my work. People who talk about their personal lives have no respect for their families”.

    Speaking further, Doyle revealed that Nollywood has done well and it’s set to blossom.

    “Nollywood is in a beautiful place right now, It’s in a wonderful place .It’s set to blossom, For a long time Nollywood was all about Idumota, Epinpejo and all of that. It’s moved on right now. Thankfully with the theatrical releases, It has upped the ante and the production values are much better. The introduction of young Nigerians who studied film-making and now back in Nigeria, has added to the growth of Nollywood. The problem with Nollywood now is that the stories are not authentically African”, he said on the show.

    The actor also has some words of advice for young people who desire to get married to the one they love, but are being limited by blood genotype.

    He said:”By all means check your genotype but if you are in love with someone whose genotype is not compatible with yours, please go ahead and marry that person. There is technology now that can eliminate the possibility of transmitting sickle cell to your children. I wasn’t that lucky it didn’t exist in my time. Genotype should not stand in the way of love”, he said.

    Like an unexpected tragic scene in a movie, Nigerians were shaken by the news that Nollywood couple, Patrick and Ireti Doyle, marriage may have hit the rocks.Social media has been awash with the news.

    When reporters reached out to Ireti, she said: “I understand what you want to say. But I’m driving right now and I’m not using an earpiece. I suggest that you call me later or send me a text message containing your questions and I would respond to them.”

    According to reports circulating online, the lovebirds had allegedly fallen out of love for some years and were only trying to make it discreet. This was buttressed by the fact that they have not been seen together in public for a long time, unlike what obtained in the past when they attended all events as a couple.

    Months back, she gave a reason she no longer stepped out with her husband. “We are both busy people and you find that, in any one given weekend, we’ve both been invited to three or four different events where all three or four people are expecting to see us so we play it smart, we share it; if you’ve seen one you’ve seen the other,” she said.

     

    According to unconfirmed reports, Ireti has reportedly moved away from the house she shared with her husband and kids, and now living alone in the Anthony Village area of Lagos. Close allies of the couple in reveal they separated on amicable terms.

    Revered actor and broadcaster, Patrick Doyle has slammed pop star, Davido over his trending slogan ’30 billion for the account’. Recall that the slogan is drawn from Davido’s rent hit song , titled If.

    Doyle condemned the statement, saying it will lead young people to believing they can get the so called 30 billion by all means and at all cost. He made this statement while speaking in an interview with Hip TV.

    According to him:”Entertainment and pop culture impacts the people in a very subtle and insidious manner. The statement ’30 billion’ for the account is from entertainment. When you start telling a young child ’30 billion for the account ooo’ he is going to grow up wanting to get 30 billion by any means necessary”.

  • How Patrick Doyle slammed Adesua Etomi

    For those who attended The Nollywood session at the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive) held on Wednesday, 28th of April, there was a general agreement that it was one of the most engaging sessions at the event.

    The panelists for the session were Nollywood veteran, Patrick Doyle talented actresses, Toyin Abraham and Adesua Etomi . They discussed various issues plaguing the industry. The conversation became dramatic when the issue of joining associations came up.

     

    Toyin felt being part of the guild was important, Adesua felt otherwise . This led to a back and forth verbal exchange between the duo. Doyle had to interrupt their argument by telling Adesua she wasn’t being fair to the system. In his words, Adesua who returned to Nigeria to pursue a career in acting from the UK should join the existing guilds.

     

    According to him:”Now that you are in the system, join the guilds.The industry has helped you.A lot of the young Nigerians that come in from abroad brought in a lot of value to the movie making industry and that value is appreciated here.”
