  • Rudeboy calls for issuance of “Certificate of Survival” to Nigerians alive under Buhari’s administration

Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy has called for a certificate of survival to be issued to every Nigerian alive “under this current administration”.

According to him, the current administration in Nigeria led by Buhari seems not to be doing anything about the security system in the country and people are just dying because of their negligence.

After 8yrs of this administration, Rudeboy believes every Nigerian alive today deserves a certificate of survival because they have been able to survive through the hardship and insecurity among other things in the country.

Under the Buhari-led administration, a lot of things are going south in Nigeria but it appears they’re doing nothing to assure the citizens of a better Nigeria and security but rather only condemn when the worst happens and blood is shed.

Nigeria is bleeding and most people including Rudeboy are heartbroken and that is why he thinks every Nigerian alive today is a survivor who deserves a certificate of survival.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) recalls that 11 months ago, Dino Melaye, a former federal lawmaker, proposed that any Nigerian who survives till the end of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration should be given ‘certificate of survival’.

Melaye, who represented Kogi West in the senate, said this in a video at a recent event.

He said such a person must have survived hunger, kidnapping, banditry, and killings.

“I want to propose that at the expiration of Muhammadu Buhari as the President of Nigeria, due to hunger, kidnapping, bandits and killings, any Nigerian that survives, I move a motion that that Nigerian should be given a certificate of survival,” he said.

Psquare feud has been going on for a long time – Paul Okoye

However in a chat with Punch, Paul Okoye noted that the feud has been ongoing for a long time.

“Our case is like that of a husband and wife whose marriage is not working but post lovely pictures on social media. People who don’t know the details would see the rosy pictures and plead for the union not to break up. But, they don’t know what is happening behind closed doors. The best thing is actually for them to go their separate ways.

“Some people think that all these started recently but it has been going on for a long time. I can confidently tell you that my first solo album was supposed to be ‘Game Over’ (released in 2007). That title, ‘Game Over’, meant I was done with the group. I recorded the album as a solo artiste and sent it to some people but they were surprised that I was the only one on the album. People said different things and I later shelved my plan.”

  • Why I pulled out of Psquare-Peter Okoye

Months after the split of Psquare, Peter Okoye now known as Mr P has revealed that disrespect directed towards himself and his family made him quit Psquare.

The ‘Ebeano’ singer got married to Lola Omotayo-Okoye in 2015 and they have two children named Cameron and Aliona.

Speaking in a chat with Citizen TV in Kenya, he said: “In life what we call family value is important. The fans want Psquare but how many times do you want Psquare to come back and break up. We’ve broken up three times and the same issue is still there. So if Psquare is going to come back we need to settle that issue. Psquare might come back, they might not come back. I pulled out the plug because I felt the disrespect coming from my family (was) getting too much,” he said.

“There’s something we call marginalisation. Don’t ever be a slave because you want to be family. Psquare can only come back if the respect comes 100 percent. I don’t disrespect my brother’s wife neither, his family but he does that to me all the time. He’ll insult me and my family in public, on Instagram, and the next minute he’ll wait for me backstage for us to perform together.

“I can’t do that. One thing is for sure, I took a vow to protect my wife and kids the day I got married and I stick to that.”

Recall that in an interview with Vanguard, Paul Okoye had kept mum on what led to the crash of the pop-group.

According to him:” I don’t even want to talk about the past. There are certain things you would ask me that will benefit you as a journalist, but won’t benefit me. So, the best thing I will do is to skip it because I don’t like discussing family issues. Except you want to know more about my personal family. As for my fans who want to hear my own side of the breakup story, I have my own way of communicating with them”.
