  • 2023: Wike’s political career will end if he dumps PDP – Primate Ayodele

2023: Wike’s political career will end if he dumps PDP – Primate Ayodele

The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has warned Rivers state governor Nyesome Wike not to dump the opposition Peoples Democratic Party for the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), saying that the move could end his political career.

The cleric also said that the Igbos should take advantage of 2023 and produce a Nigerian president of South-East extraction.

Primate Ayodele warned that the future generations of the Igbos would suffer if they fail to produce Nigeria’s President in 2023.

However, Ayodele insists that Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi can’t win the 2023 elections.

The Lagos-based cleric, made this statement in his church on Sunday, he said 2022 is not the turn of the Yoruba race, but the Igbos.

“2023 is the turn of the Igbos not even Yoruba, and if they miss it now, their great-grandchildren will be angry with them. Peter Obi can only make effort but won’t win.”

The cleric, further explained that the Igbo candidate who can win in 2023 was not given the ticket to contest.

He urged the Igbos not to be deterred if they miss it and that they should prepare for the 2027 general elections.

“The person who could have won the 2023 presidential election for the Igbos was not given the ticket, so the Igbos should go back and realign ahead of 2027.

“I support Yoruba’s agenda but it’s not their turn, 2023 is the turn of the Igbos, and if they miss it now, their next generation will suffer for it.”

The cleric further made clarifications on Wike’s body movement to join the APC, saying he should learn from his Ebonyi and Rivers state counterparts Umahi and Ayade.

According to the cleric both of them were warned but didn’t listen.

H said “Wike leaving PDP to APC is the end of his political career. When we warned Umahi and Ayade they felt we were making noise, now they know. Wike should not take the wrong step.

“APC and PDP are no longer good for Nigeria, they are not a glorious party that will take Nigeria to the next level even with their Chairmen. They picked the wrong people as Chairmen,” he added.

TheNewsGuru.com reports that Akinlade dumped the All Progressive Congress (APC) to join the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Akinlade, after his defection into the PDP on Friday, was announced as the running mate to Hon. Ladi Adebutu, who won the PDP primary election in Ogun State.

While accepting to run on the same ticket as Adebutu, Akinlade said his decision to join the PDP was for the good of Ogun State.

According to him, the decision was not an easy one to take, but the sacrifice must be made.

“It might not be the most popular decision to take, but I believe it is necessary. Where we have found ourselves today in Ogun State needs that every sensible indigene of this state must be ready to make a sacrifice,” Akinlade said.

The former House of Representatives member recalled how Adebutu stood by him when he contested in 2019, saying “We will do everything we can to make sure that this party becomes victorious in 2023.”

Akinlade stressed that “we will work morning, afternoon and night; we will work round the clock. We have done it before under 90 days, now we have seven months to do this (campaign).”

“I have sat down with everybody. I know my role as the deputy governor. I will stand with you, I will stand by you and I will stand behind you. He said.

  • Atiku’s reconciliatory moves: Don’t embark on an unhealthy bus drive to nowhere -Wike’s loyalists caution

As the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP crisis continues to nosedive, loyalists of the Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike have advised him not to embark on an unhealthy bus drive that will take him to nowhere.

TheNewsGuru.com, (TNG) reports the larger than life crisis rocking the PDP over the hand picking of a running mate by the presidential candidate of the party, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar continues to nosedive, loyalists of Governor Wike have cautioned him to tactically avoid the party’s Greek gift via a reconciliatory move that will take him to nowhere.

A very close ally of the governor who spoke to TNG under the condition of anonymity said ” Wike should not venture into any deal with the Atiku people as it will take him to nowhere.

“In the first place it was Atiku who promised to make him his running mate and suddenly he(Atiku) derailed and now same man is writing him love letters that he is our jagaban, that is nonesensensical.

“Oh it has now dawned on him that it’s daybreak to further use his head to grind and smoothen the road to Aso Rock then suddenly when the food is ready they will remember that the man is assertive and garrulous.

Another of the Niger Delta vibrant governor, spoke in the same vein saying”oh! they want reconciliation now that the party is wearing the look of a complete northern party, the chairman is from the north, secretary from the north, presidential flag bearer from the north and now Wike who you rubbished twice is now a useful pawn.

“What an insult does Wike look like a fool to them? They say he is assertive but then he was a local government chairman there was no time he fought his governor, as Minister there was no time he fought his principal, as Chief of Staff nobody heard his name then suddenly one Aliyu Babangida that’s a political failure is saying Wike talks too much and Atiku believed such political nonentities.

TNG recalls that before the sudden reconciliation move two former governors, Ayo Fayose and former Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang had spat fire on the faces of those giving Wike names.

A serving Governor, Samuel Ortom had equally told Atiku he was not serious about anything as he is busy traveling around the world while his house is on fire.

  • Tinubu speaks on meeting Wike in France

Former Lagos state governor and  the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu  has denied holding any meeting with the Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, in France.

Tinubu traveled to France few days ago on a  vacation and also to consult with political stakeholders in the country.

However, Joe Igbokwe a chieftain of the APC in Lagos state claimed there was a meeting between the two heavyweights in France.

On Friday night, the Tinubu Media Officer in a statement signed by Tunde Rahman said although the APC flag bearer holds Wike in high esteem, such a meeting never took place.

His statement reads in part: “We have seen a viral social media post made by one of the chieftains of All Progressives Congress in Lagos State and media reports emanating from same about a supposed meeting in France between APC Presidential Standard-bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and His Excellency, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.

“It has become imperative to set the record straight. Although Asiwaju Tinubu is presently in France, he didn’t have any meeting with Governor Wike whether in that country or anywhere whatsoever.

“This, however, does not detract from the fact that the APC presidential candidate holds Governor Wike in high esteem.

“And given the national and across-party lines appeal of Asiwaju Tinubu’s candidature, he will not hesitate to meet any important national leader when desirable.

“As made public earlier, Asiwaju Tinubu is in France for some important engagements. He will return to the country shortly.

“We would like, once again, to advise journalists to always cross-check their information with appropriate officers before rushing to press to avoid unintended errors.”
