  • Fr.Mbaka bombs peter Obi, says a stingy man can never be Nigeria’s president

Popular  Enugu Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has once again pounced on Labour Party’s presidential aspirant Peter Obi, accusing him of being very stingy.

Fr.Mbaka  declared that the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi can never be Nigeria’s President.

It was gathered  that he made the declaration at his Adoration Ministry, Enugu Nigeria.

Mbaka made it clear that unless God ceases to exist Obi would never become Nigeria’s president with his stingy nature.

He reiterated  that it was better to have an old man as President than a ‘stingy young man’.

He further revealed that he once apologized to Obi because a higher authority whom he cherish asked him to do so, saying that Obi is still the same old self who goes about parading himself as stingy.

He said, “A stingy man, that cannot give people his money, with this hunger ravaging the land, and you are saying he is the one you want. You want to die of hunger? Are you people insane? Where is the Holy Spirit?

“It is now that Atiku is seriously contesting for President; now that he is contesting without Peter Obi; it is now that he is serious? We want somebody that is serious. Unless Peter comes here to kneel, if he becomes President, he will close down this ministry. What we are doing is spiritual,

“Listen, a good old man is better than a young wicked man; Peter Obi is going nowhere as far as God lives. If Igbos want a representative, it is not someone like Peter Obi.

“I should not have talked but I saw my video going round everywhere as if Fr. Mbaka wholeheartedly came out and apologized. No, I didn’t apologize wholeheartedly, it was out of duress. I had to obey my Bishop, in obedience I had to, it is not of my volition. I did it because I am a Catholic Priest, my Bishop said, do it, my own is ‘Yes my Lord’.

“I did not say he is a bad man; I said he is a stingy man. A hungry man wants someone that is generous; the man has so much money, but he is ‘I, me, myself’. But that money will not be useful to him. I am very happy now that I have spoken out. That apology is a poisonous curse against Peter Obi.

“If he is wise he should have come here after that apology to say he is sorry but he waited. Anybody supporting him is wasting his money, he is going nowhere.

“He is my friend. When he was chased out of Government House, he knew the role I played to bring him back, but how did he pay me back? Night meetings we attended to bring him back, ask him, ask Eselu Uga, ask Archbishop Anikwenwa, they know where and how we did it and he was brought back.

“Ask Peter since then what he used to reward Adoration. If you like Peter Obi, tell him to come and ask for forgiveness. Let him come and redo what he did. There is an altar of God he blasphemed; he defiled an altar of God, the Holy Spirit.

“I called Atiku after that apology, he was in Dubai, I told him that there is a revelation on your presidential election; that you are going to be the President of Nigeria on one condition, that Peter Obi is not going to be your running mate. Peter Obi has incurred a curse to himself, which means that he is carrying a curse; if you want to be President, change him.

“Atiku responded that I cannot, Peter must be my running mate, we must win. You saw what happened. Atiku is still alive. That is why I said it is now that Atiku is preparing to be President.

“Just like Jonathan, I called him, God has shown that you are going to win this election but on one condition; Jega should be changed. If you change Jega you will win Buhari, but if you don’t, Buhari will win you. Goodluck told me, ‘Fr. I will not remove Jega, we will still win’. He held on to Jega and failed.

  • 2023: Both Musa Kwankwaso and Peter Obi took away aggrandizement from governance – Yinusa Tanko

…if finally paired veteran politicians will run for cover

    …says talks at advance stage

… people are already donating to support us

Spokesman, National Consultative Forum, Labour Party, Dr. Yinusa Tanko has said that the commonality between former Governor of Kano State, Musa Kwankwaso and his counterpart, Peter Obi is that both men took away personal agrandisement from governance.

Tanko made this revelation in an exclusive interview with TheNewsGuru.com, (TNG) giving essential credentials of both presidential flag bearers of NNPP and Labour Party.

According to Tanko, talks are at advance stage to see how these two rare Nigerians can be paired to change the political narrative for the betterment of Nigerians.

    Hear him:

Asked why he’s so confident of the joint ticket of Kwankwaso and Obi, he said: “They feel the pain of the youth and so they leverage most of their activities on the educational line, producing educated Nigerians that can transform into productive youths and that for me also resonate what Peter Obi is saying that I am changing the narrative from a consumer nation into a productive nation.

“When you become a productive nation definitely your economy will change and that will impact on the economy and all, and that will resonate directly to take care of insecurity because anybody that is gainfully employed, anybody that is working and eating cannot be engaged in any kind of war, even allow himself to be used by anybody because actually what he is looking for is for him to be economically empowered and he has it, so he doesn’t need to be involved in anything untoward.

“So those are three major areas that we need to work with and so immediately when this comes out, a lot of people believe in it, they will share it and feel that look we need to work with this particular individual.

Looking at the two of them, having been governors of their state in different time, what are other similarities you see in their performance?

“Their similarity is that they’ve taken away individual aggrandizement to interest of the public, to them the people is first.

“Like Obi said he had phone numbers of the class captains or head prefects of over 500 schools and each one of them, each school he has visited one on one and that he was even giving them N5million annually from his security vote.

“The security votes that most people lavish, is what he turned into, used for the people and he had a situation where he went to the church to pray and an old woman saw him, he drew him out and he doesn’t go to these kind of places with security men, so the woman challenged him, that salaries and gratuity of people have not been paid and all and God will not hear your prayers and that is why he owed nobody.

“And that is the same with Kwankwaso, in fact he himself, when he first of all sent those children to school, he now said look, I heard your guys (his commissioners) are sending your to school, these ones I will send to school myself, he made sure that they are children of the poor, all his commissioners he said you guys are not going to benefit from this but all of the children of the downtrodden, poor people, free scholarship, not only that he made the full payment until the day of graduation.

“He said if it is clothes, I have had clothes, if it is women I have had women, if t is money I have gotten money, so this time around that I am here, I am working for the people and if you are not ready to work for the people, don’t come near me.

“So these are the kinds of messages that really resonate with me and with a lot of people and so it becomes expediently important that these people should think about how to transform what they have done physically.

“You lead by practical examples, what you have done, you can easily use it again. So they transformed their states in using it as a template and now their interest is to replicate it nationwide.

Out there, some people are saying that Obi cannot match the two candidates that Atiku and Tinubu that they will use money to buy their way. Some others will say that INEC will compromise; what do you say about all these?

“So you see the issue is that even Buhari did not have money but Peter Obi, they have goodwill because of what they have done and the goodwill has transformed into a lot of donations, people are willing to give, in fact while I was with the chairman, people were coming there saying I want to donate and each donation is not for them to buy you off, no, the donation coming in is for logistics.

“The truth is Obi was asked where is the structure, he said look the hungry Nigerians, the 100million hungry Nigerians are his structure. So you that want to emancipate yourself in the next 4years, will you be looking for anybody to come and give and you eat, it is like a personal project on everybody; so collecting money is completely out of the case now.

His Facebook post reads: “I just departed for Egypt on a 3-day visit as part of my detailed study of comparable countries to Nigeria. In Egypt, I am expected to understudy, among others, the Egyptian Power Sector, Education, Planning and Finance Sectors”.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) recalls that Obi had expressed his confidence in over 100 million human structures which he would leverage to win the 2023 election in Nigeria.

Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, via his Twitter handle, noted that his structure would be about human beings.

He highlighted his structure to include 100 million Nigerians living in poverty, 35 million Nigerians living in hunger

“Whenever I hear of NO STRUCTURE, my answer to it is simple; the 100 million Nigerians that live in poverty will be the structure,” he said.

    Peter

Other categories Obi listed include the elderly, mothers, fathers, the old people, students and membersof the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

In his words: “The 35 million Nigerians who don’t know where their next meal will come from will be the structure. The elderly, our mothers, fathers, and the old ones dying or being owed gratuity/pension will be the structure.”

The LP flag bearer said, “ASUU; the lecturers that are being owed, and the students who are not in school will be the structure,” he added.

“We’ll create the structure, and they’ll see what the structure is all about. The structure is about human beings. — PO,” he added.

  • Grand plan on for Peter Obi, Musa Kwankwaso to battle Atiku, Tinubu

There’s a grand plan underway by Labour Party and NNPP to merge to defeat Atiku Abubakar and Bola Tinubu in next year’s general elections.

TheNewsGuru com, (TNG) reports to this end both parties are planning to see how Peter Obi, Musa Kwankwaso merge to forge a common front to unseat the ruling APC government.

Spokesman, National Consultative Forum, Labour Party, Dr. Yinusa Tanko confirmed this development as he affirmed that there are plans to bring together, the Labour Party (LP) and the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to help strengthen national reach.

Dr. Yinusa Tanko made this affirmation in an interview with a national television station.

When he was asked to describe the state of affairs in the Labour Party, whether or not there is crisis, Tanko noted that there is no crisis in the party at all currently, saying that the party is more solidly on the ground now more than it has ever been.

When he was asked to confirm if there are plans to bring together, Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party to work together to defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress, Tanko said that he cannot say categorically that they have concluded on merging the two parties, however, they are working very seriously on that.

According to Yinusa Tanko, merging the two parties is an idea they have already seen on ground, and they feel that the Labour Party’s flag bearer, Peter Obi, who is very much grounded in the Southern part of the country needs to work together with other people who are also very grounded in the Northern part of Nigeria; speaking of Kwankwaso.

Yinusa Tanko said that both Peter Obi and Kwankwaso have shown character, resilience, determination and have worked closely with people who are downtrodden. He prayed that Nigerians would give them their maximum support if their plan works out.

When he was asked to speak on how Labour Party intends to leverage on Peter Obi’s emergence and popularity, Tanko said that as a candidate, Peter Obi has soiled himself with the Nigerian people, especially the Nigerian youths.

He reflected on how the former Governor of Anambra State was able to manage the resources of his State and how he relates with the younger generation, especially those who are in school.

He recalled that at a point during Peter Obi’s administration as the Executive Governor of Anambra State, he literally had the contacts of captains and leaders of students in secondary school so that they can have access to him so as to be able to communicate with him about what is going on in their various schools.

Yinusa Tanko said that Peter Obi’s character is the type of character they want Nigerian leaders to have.

He said that Kwankwaso, apart from endearing himself in the educational line, has also shown capacity in leadership just like Peter Obi.

He added that Peter Obi is not a tribal project, but Nigerian project as he does not belong to any religious or group of individuals.

He encouraged Nigerians, especially the youths to go and join the membership of the Labour Party and other political parties that are working in alliance with the Labour Party.

When he was asked to describe the type of running mate he would want Peter Obi to have, Tanko said that they are looking for a running mate who believes in the ideology of emancipating the Nigerian people from the shackles of poverty, moving them from lack of hope to hope, changing them from a consumer nation to a producing nation.

  • 2023 Election: Labour Party considers establishing office in Kano as Obi assures no region will be left behind

The Labour Party of Nigeria has said it will consider establishing an office in Kano State which is arguably Nigeria’s second most populous State after Lagos, and strategic for securing mass votes from the northern region in the 2023 general elections.

The party made this known on Sunday June 12, while responding to a tweet by former Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media and Digital Communications Bashir Ahmad.

Ahmad had noted that the Labour Party does not have an office in Kano, a state with an estimated population of 12.5million people and over 5,000,000 registered voters.

“Did you know that Labour Party doesn’t have an office in Kano, a state with over 5,000,000 registered voters, not only that the party doesn’t have a single candidate in the whole 44 local governments in the state, and the story is so very similar in at least 25/36 states and FCT.

“In Kano and neighboring Kaduna, Katsina, Jigawa and Bauchi states, the Labour Party doesn’t even have a whole gubernatorial candidate, if you don’t know what that means then congratulations,” he wrote.

Responding to his tweet, the party said: “We understand your plight with the lack of structural offices in Kano; we know that many of you desire true change but are unable to speak out due to certain situations; be assured that we are on top of the situation and an announcement will be made soon”.

Meanwhile, presidential flagbearer of the Labour Party Peter Obi has assured that no community or region will be left behind, insisting that “structure is all about human beings”.

“Whenever I hear of NO STRUCTURE, my answer to it is simple; the 100 million Nigerians that live in poverty will be the structure. The 35 million Nigerians who don’t know where their next meal will come from will be the structure.

“The elderly, our mothers, fathers, and the old ones dying or being owed gratuity/pension will be the structure. ASUU; the lecturers that are being owed, and the students who are not in school will be the structure.

“We’ll create the structure, and they’ll see what the structure is all about. The structure is about human beings,” Obi said.

The presidential aspirant seeks to unite an ethnically fragile country by lifting people out of poverty and creating a new sense of nationalism and patriotism.

Obi has promised to publish his governance manifesto in the coming days, which will spell out his priority areas if elected to succeed Buhari.

  • 2023 elections: Photos Senator Sani shared that have Nigerians talking about voting “stingy” leaders

As Nigeria prepare for general elections in 2023, Nigerians on twitter are reacting to photos of two top Nigerian politicians taken at the departure lounge of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja on Saturday June 11.

Former senator representing Kaduna Central and President of the Civil Rights Congress of Nigeria Shehu Sani, posted photos taken with former Governor of Anambra State and 2023 presidential aspirant under the Labour Party Peter Obi, with a caption describing himself as “poor”.

“My friend Peter joining poor people like me on the masses side of the Airport,” Sani wrote, in what some people consider to be a campaign stunt.

Reacting, a twitter user @joeljacob202 said: “Nope, the caption should be, your friend Peter Obi joining stingy people like you on the masses side of the airport. Peter Obi throughout his tenure as governor of Anambra State was known to be very stingy, these was attest to by even his closest friends and relatives”.

The user added: “For a senator whose only achievement was sharing transistor radio, you can see the relationship”.

L-R: Senator Shehu Sani and Former Governor of Anambra state Peter Obi.

These comments sparked a debate on the platform, with many Nigerians saying they would choose a “stingy” leader over a generous one, if it meant being prudent with public funds.

“We prefer a stingy man than the philanthropists who only enrich their circle of friends and allow the rest of us to suffer. The government house is not for father Christmas! It is to build capacity and deliver good governance. It is to serve you and I, not to do us a favor,” said a user named Victor.

In the same vein, Eddie Onyibor wrote: “We need stingy people in government. Stingy people would ensure that government businesses are done right. Stingy people would not overblow their cabinet with unneeded portfolios. Stingy people will take our economy from consumption to production. Stingy people thrives in public and private”.

Meanwhile, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has warned that debt servicing may gulp 100 per cent of Nigeria’s revenue by 2026, if the government fails to implement adequate measures to improve revenue generation.

“The biggest critical aspect for Nigeria is that we have done a macro-fiscal stress test, and… almost 100 per cent is projected by 2026 to be taken by debt service.

“So, the fiscal space or the amount of revenues that will be needed and this without considering any shock is that most of the revenues of the federal government are now, in fact, 89 per cent and it will continue if nothing is done, to be taken by debt service,” IMF’s Resident Representative for Nigeria, Ari Aisen revealed.

Earlier this year, it was disclosed that the Nigerian Government spent N4.2trillion on debt servicing between January and November 2021, which represents 76.2 per cent of the N5.51trillion revenue generated during the period.

Nigeria is projected to spend N3.61trillion on servicing Nigeria’s debt burden in the 2022 fiscal year, which represents about 34 per cent of the 2022 anticipated revenue of the country.

Nigeria’s debt stock, which was about N39.56tn as of December 2021, is likely to reach N45.95trillion following plans by the Debt Management Office to borrow an additional N6.39trillion to finance the 2022 budget deficit.

  • TREM: Peter Obi shares 70th birthday celebration pictures of Bishop Peace Okonkwo

Presidential candidate on the platform of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has shared pictures of himself and Bishop Peace Okonkwo, wife of Bishop Dr Mike Okonkwo, Presiding Bishop of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM), at her 70th birthday celebration.

Bishop Peace Okonkwo, on June 10, 2022, turned 70.

    TREM

Obi, on Sunday, posted some pictures he took at the event, saying “I was honoured to be at the 70th birthday celebration of Bishop Peace Okonkwo, the dear wife of Bishop Dr Mike Okonkwo, Presiding Bishop of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM). I prayed for continuous strength even as she continues to serve humanity and in God’s vineyard.”

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) gathered that the TREM Liberty Center, Ikorodu, on June 5, organised eye screening for members of the church and residents of Ikorodu, as part of its efforts in preventing blindness in the community.

The medical programme, which was designed to detect anyone with cataracts for surgery, was organised in honour of the 70th birthday of Bishop Peace Okonkwo.

About 100 beneficiaries attended the screening which was organised in partnership with RHODAS Youth Centre and Eye Foundation, Ikorodu, at the TREM, Liberty Center, Oke – Oriya, Ikorodu, on Saturday, June 4, 2022.

Also part of TREM community impact programmes was the auction sales where residents were also provided with the opportunity to get clothes, jewellery, shoes, kitchen and other items at very cheap prices.

Members of the public were seen coming into the church premises for screening and to pick items on sales.

    TREM

A Resident Pastor, Revd. Mike Egwu, explained that the eyes screening was part of the Church impact programme to honour the life of service of the wife of the Presiding Bishop of the Church.

“The auction sales and eyes screening are community impact initiatives of the TREM Liberty Center in honour of the 70th birthday of our big mummy, Bishop Peace Okonkwo. You can see that people are coming from every parts of the community to screen their eyes and also pick items.

“The eyes screening is the main programme while the auction sales that is also going on, is just a side attraction. We are trying to solve the problem of cataract through this screening. After the screening, we are going to provide medications to those in need to correct their sights,” Revd. Egwu said.

The presiding pastor also said that the Church will be responsible for any of the participants detected with cataracts.

    TREM

“While the Church will be responsible for those in need of surgery, we are partnering with the RHODAS Youth Centre and Eyes Foundation. We have started and we want to continue with it. Depending on the number of people here today, we may organise another session.

“We have the mandate of the Presiding Bishop that we should go into the world and impact for the kingdom of God. It’s definitely not going to end today. Those ones that we will not be able to screen today will be scheduled for another day to continue the programme,” Revd. Egwu asserted.

“You can see on display, shoes, ties, clothes, utensils among others. Anything they pick is just N200. It’s just a giveaway and people pick them to know that what they are picking is worth more than that. It is our way of celebrating a life of impact and service to humanity, which is the life of Bishop Peace Okonkwo”.

Deacon Austin Awulonu, a chieftain of the church, thanked RHODAS Youth Centre and Eye Foundation for partnering with the Church to provide opportunity for those in need of medical assistance.

“The eyes screening is an opportunity for the Church to impact on the community. We are partnering with RHODAS Youth Centre which you know has been engaging in screening and sponsoring surgeries for cataract as part of its community outreach programmes and also the Eye Foundation,” he added.

Also, President Muhammadu Buhari shared in the joyous occasion of the 70th birthday of Bishop Peace Okonkwo.

A statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, on Thursday said: “President Buhari felicitates with family members, particularly her husband, Bishop Mike Okonkwo, who has been a pillar of support and encouragement for women in ministry, guiding his wife to take up leadership and spiritual roles that have turned out a blessing to many in the Body of Christ and beyond.

“While joining members of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission and spiritual leaders to celebrate with Bishop Okonkwo, the President notes her motherly position in nation building, establishing Word of Power Group of Schools for children and setting up a foundation, Women of Global Impact that reaches out to the homeless, poor and underprivileged, with support of Rehoboth Homes and Skills Acquisition Centre.

“President Buhari affirms that Bishop Okonkwo’s inspiration to promote prayer meetings at national and international levels, like the International Women Prayer Conference, since 1998, has had a resounding impact on many lives, particularly families, encouraging women to trust God and pursue their dreams, with diligence, faith and hope.

“The President prays that the Almighty God will continue to bless the renowned minister with good health, and wisdom to keep sharing her love, care and concern.”

Besides, he has enormous capacity and knowledge on how to reposition Nigeria. He is our choice and the choice of most Nigerians in this project.

  • LABOUR PARTY: Group describes Ezenwafor as an opposition tool

A group under the aegis of PETER OBI FOR PRESIDENT 2023 has described Jude Ezenwafor, who was recently declared as Labour Party’s presidential candidate by a faction of the party, as a tool in the hands of those that see Obi’s Presidential aspiration as their biggest threat.

Obi, who vied for the position of vice-president in the 2019 Nigerian general election under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), was elected as the party’s presidential candidate at a primary election.

A faction of the Labour Party, led by its former Deputy National Chairman, Callistus Okafor, on Wednesday elected Ezenwafor as its presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections.

    Labour

Reacting to the development, the group in a statement by Ebuka Okoye asserted that Ezenwafor is a member of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA.

According to the group, the declaration of Ezenwafor as LP’s presidential candidate was a mind game stretched towards meddling with the minds of Peter Obi’s supporters.

The statement partly read: “He was deployed to distract teeming Nigerians that are yearning for Obi’s emergence as the President of the federal republic of Nigeria. Declaring himself as LP’s presidential candidate is a mind game stretched towards meddling with the minds of Obi’s supporters.

“We’ve overcome the initial speculation that our vote will not count, and they’re on another devil’s mission to whistle our hope from discharging our legal rights as citizens of this great country.

“Remind you that these bad eggs, will not stop from playing their mind games. This is to further prove to us that we’re doing very well with this project.

“It should also encourage us to sustain the tempo and prove to them that we are their doom. The end of their game starts with and will end with us.

“Never again! Enough is enough!! We must take back our country from them!!!”
