    Phyno slams critic over Hushpuppi feature in new song

    Popular rapper Phyno has been awoken from his usual social media recluse by responding to criticism for featuring jailed internet fraudster, Hushpuppi on his new album.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the rapper featured the jailed internet fraudster, Hushpuppi in track 10 ‘Nwoke Esike’ of his much-anticipated album ‘Full Time Job’.

    In the music, Hushpuppi’s voice offers advice on hard work and perseverance.

    Hushpuppi said no one should compete with themselves, adding that “everybody’s destination dey different”.

    “Do your best at all time and pray for yourself/ Hahah I see say pleasure to do unboxing video won kill a lot of people/ Abeg take am easy on yourself/ Go work hard abeg/ life is too short,” he said in the song.

    Reacting, An X user questioned Phyno’s motive, asking what wisdom people could gain from a convicted fraudster.

    “I still don’t understand what Phyno was trying to do on that track by bringing Hushpuppi to ‘motivate’ us,” the user wrote.

    In response, Phyno slammed the critic for his ignorance about music promotion.

    The rapper argued that if he had featured a convicted US rapper like Young Thug, fans would eagerly listen without hesitation.

    “Go and sleep if u no sabi game!!! If young thug or el chapo talk for song now you go rush first play am..  ngwere isi red !!” Phyno wrote.

    Cubana Chief Priest reacts as Phyno splashes 550million on Luxury car

    Businessman and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, has hailed his friend and rapper, Phyno for splashing 550 million Naira on a brand new Mercedes-Benz Maybach.

    This comes after a popular car dealer had via social media shared a video of the car with the caption, ‘Ezege, highest bidder’ prompting netizens to believe that the post is a reference aimed for phyno who is also popularly called, Ezege.

    Confirming the news on Friday, Cubana via his Instagram page reposted the video, after which, hailed Phyno for securing such luxury vehicle.

    The celebrity barman in the process also took a swipe at poor Nigerians lamenting about the current hardship in the country.

    According to Cubana Chief Priest, there is money, unfortunately, people lamenting there is no money, doesnt have the money hence their lamentations.

    He caption the post, “My Brother @phynofino with that beast. Brand new 2024 Maybach 5680. Money dey na you no get. Congratulations, playmaker, where are we going tonite?”

    Phyno’s new fleet is coming months after the rapper acquired a multi-million naira property, a 20-unit of a detached terrace building.

    Real estate mogul, Ned Okonkwo  announced the news, congratulating Phyno on his new property.

    Phyno also expressed gratitude to his hitmaker for pulling the deal through, noting it is a season for landlords.

    Nigerian rapper, Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, aka Phyno, has said that having a child outside one’s marriage should not be described as polygamy.

    “Homes breaking is not polygamy, polygamy is when someone willingly says ‘I’m going to marry two wives,’ some people are caught in a situation and you can’t call that polygamy so let’s be clear Muslims practice polygamy,” he said.

    Speaking during an interview where he shared his opinion about the rampant practice of polygamy by entertainment players, Phyno pointed out that “homes breaking is not polygamy”.

    According to him, polygamy is when someone willingly decides to marry two wives.

    He explained that when situations arise, it is imperative to take up the responsibilities and cater for the child.

    The singer further insisted that if a man intentionally decides to take another wife, while still married to another woman is what polygamy is.

    In his words: “You Feel What Happens In The Industry Is People Getting Caught In Situations? It can happen to you; it can happen to anyone.

    “If you are caught in a situation, you have to stand up as a man and take responsibility for your child, you can’t call that polygamy. We always have to be clear on this because people come out to this.

    “Polygamy is when I say I’m going to marry more than one wife that’s polygamy. The situation happens to people and they are always unplanned, you called that polygamy. I don’t have any position on (polygamy).”

    Indigenous rap artist, Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, popularly known as Phyno  has finally cleared the air on  his sickle cell status.

    The Igbo rap artist has denied speculations flying around  that he’s suffering from sickle cell disease.

    The Enugu-based rap artiste debunked the rumor on his Verified Twitter Page on Wednesday afternoon.

    A fan identified as Ele Peter had in a tweet alleged that his love for the singer tripled when she found out that he had sickle cell.

    She wrote, “ Since I heard Phyno has sickle cell the love tripled, I pray God grants him the strength to keep fighting.”

    Reacting, Phyno wrote, “ Lol. No, I do not have sickle cell. Love to everyone fighting it though.”

    Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, populary known as Phyno Fino, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer. He started his music career as a producer in 2003, and is renowned for rapping in the Igbo language.

    Popular Instagram dancer and brand influencer, Usiwo Orezinena Jane, aka Jane Mena, and her husband, Andre Plies, have announced the arrival of their baby.

    Fans and well-wishers showered the duo with love as they made the announcement.

    The 29 year-year-old dancer, who could not contain her joy, took to the image-sharing platform, Instagram, to announce the finish line of the nine months journey.

    Sharing a video of her hand and that of her husband, Jane Mena revealed the foot of her new baby.

    “A journey that started with both of us has now brought a little addition❤️,” she wrote.

    The performance takes place under a red-light filter while Paul Anka’s song “Put your hands on my shoulder” plays. The song is then switched with Doja Cat’s song ” Streets”. While joining the trend, Jane Mena silhouette challenge video with her husband went viral. Their performance sent the internet into a frenzy such that the video got 259,134 views in under 2 hours.

    Jane Mena is among the Nigerian celebrities that have made the headlines about having a sex tape scandal. It all began in September 2021 when popular Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh accused her ex-lover Prince Kpokpogri of being in possession of Jane Mena’s sex tape.

    Also, there was an alleged Jane Mena voice note where Kpokpogri was talking about his sexual escapades with a married lady named Jane. The dancer denied the claims and described the accusation as damaging and malicious to her person and marriage.

    She employed the services of a law firm that demanded Tonto retract the allegation. Tonto was also asked to tender an apology and pay ₦500million for damages.

    Nigerian highlife singer, Flavour together with the deputy Governor of Enugu State, Lolo Cecelia Ezeilo on Tuesday joined the End SARS protesters seeking an end to police brutality in the country.

    The protest which began at Okpara Square had youths from different parts of the state who expressed their anger with youths from other parts of the country in demanding for an end to the unlawful operations and activities of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS.

    Also, Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, popularly known as Phyno and another Igbo rapper, Zoro were part of the protesters.

    Star rapper and singer, Phyno is anticipating the 2019 presidential elections. However, he is yet to decide on the presidential candidate he is going to vote for.

    Phyno made this known in a chat with Hip TV

    The ‘Fada Fada’ sensation said he still has a lot of time to make that decision.

     

    “I am yet to decide on the presidential candidate to vote for. There is still time to make that decision. I am going to choose someone who has a good history”, he said.

     

    Earlier this year, the rapper bared his mind on the Headies Awards, saying a rapper is y to clinch the song of the year award.

    Nigerian singer, Timaya has shared his stance on marriage. Timaya who recently took to his Instagram page to announce that he would like to take a back seat when it comes to baby making said marriage doesn’t work.

    Timaya made this known during a conversation with Phyno which Phyno posted on his Insta stories.

    “Marriage doesn’t work, just have babies”, Timaya declared.

    Phyno and Olamide no doubt have an undeniable chemistry when they collaborate on projects .For their current joint effort, Phyno and Olamide made use of creative Instagram skits shot by their fans for inspiration.

     

    “Big shout out to each and everyone that made a short video of #onyeoma. This video is inspired by you,” Phyno had said days before ‘Onyeoma’ video was released.

    In the video, the duo can be seen talking about the direction of the video in the opening scene of the video and eventually decided to go for a fan-centric approach.

    Phyno is a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer signed to his record label, Penthauze Music.

     

    Born Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, in Enugu State, he is the fourth of five children. His stage name Phyno, which is derived from the word ‘phenomenal’, was the nickname given to him by one of his high school friends, Emeka. Phyno developed an interest for music production during his high school days where he learned to play the drums and piano. He also learned to create his own rendition of every recording he heard. He studied Public Administration at the Institute of Management and Technology in Enugu and started profiting from music during his second year in the University.

     

    Phyno officially started his musical career as a producer in 2003. Renowned for rapping in the Igbo language, he started working on his debut album; No Guts No Glory in 2012. On the 25th of September 2012, he released “Ghost Mode” as the album’s lead single featuring Olamide. The success of the single earned him various awards including Best Collabo at both The Headies and Nigerian Entertainment Awards. The album’s second single “Man of the Year (Obago)” released 23rd March 2013 won the Best Rap Single category at The Headies Awards. The Album was eventually released on 20th March 2014. The album also has his mega hit song “O set” and “Parcel”.
