Colombian pop star Shakira has expressed doubts over finding love again after her split from former Barcelona defender, Gerard Pique.
The couple, who had been together for 11 years, announced their separation in June 2022.
This came amid allegations of infidelity on Pique’s part.
Shakira, who is now 47, said on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music 1 show:
She said, “I thought love would be there forever for me, and that’s one of my broken dreams.
“I don’t know if I’d like to find that again. Probably not.”
Former Barcelona defender Gerard Pique insists Erling Haaland has long way to go to reach the elite level.
For many, the Manchester City striker deserved the Ballon d’Or last year.
But Pique says: “I think he has a lot of potential, but he has a long way to go to reach the level of Messi and Cristiano.
“He has to win as many trophies, doing it for 15, 17, 20 years, and that’s not easy.
“He is a very young and promising player, he has great potential, but still I believe that he is far from these two.”

The Barcelona great argues there are too many games being played in a season.
He said, “In the end, the sport is moving towards shorter and more unique competitions. The clear example is the NLF, there are four months of competition and the country is paralysed. You have record ratings. I think football should go in that direction.
“We need all the organisations to get together and say: ‘it’s not possible for there to be 80 games in a year.’ There are too many games and people don’t even know what is being played. And then on a sporting level the level drops.
“We would need a calendar with fewer matches which would however be more competitive. Instead of leagues with 20 teams, move to 16 or even 14.”
Barcelona board has tuned down Gerard Pique’s offer to play for free at the La Liga club.
The veteran defender has agreed to waive the outstanding wages he is owed after deferring part of his salary for the past two years.
Sport says Pique, knowing Barca are still struggling to balance the books and register new signings, has agreed to return to his original contract terms before signing a new, improved deal during Josep Maria Bartomeu’s reign.
The deal will continue to 2024, but Pique will now be paid the same terms he was on before the previous arrangement had been settled, which had included promised deferred wages to be paid over the coming two years.
During negotiations, Pique even offered to play for free, but this was turned down. The defender has forgiven a huge amount of money owed by the club over the past two years to assist their cash problems.

In a joint statement, both Pique and Shakira asked for privacy for the well-being of their children.
The statement reads: “We regret to confirm that we are separating. For the well-being of our children, who are our top priority, we are asking for respect for their privacy. Thank you for your understanding”.
TNG reports there have been rumours about infidelity on Pique’s part.
Pique and Shakira started dating after meeting at the 2010 World Cup, but they never actually got married.
They have been together all this time and the Colombian singer moved to Barcelona to start a family with the footballer.

“My poor husband, slash boyfriend, slash baby daddy, whatever you want to call him; he has to wait up for me so long. He is tired of waiting up,” Shakira told podcast Planet Hero with H (via GOAL).
She added, “Because Colombian time is not the same as Catalonian time, Spanish time, his mind is structured like that and mine… I have become a lot more punctual since I met him.
“[But] the times that we actually fight is because I am late, and he’s waiting up.”
Barcelona suffered more injuries during their 1-1 draw with Alaves.
Sergio Aguero was forced off before half-time, going down appearing to be dizzy and struggling to breath. The Argentine was transferred to the hospital via an ambulance for further treatment.
The Argentine was making his fifth appearance after missing the start of the season, though he was quiet in attack with Memphis Depay.
After 68 minutes, Gerard Pique was also forced off as he limped down the tunnel with Clement Lenglet replacing him.
These two injuries add to those of Frenkie de Jong, Ansu Fati, Martin Braithwaite, Sergi Roberto, Pedri, Ronald Araujo and Ousmane Dembele who were unavailable for selection due to their own injuries.
On Tuesday, Barcelona face Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League.

The veteran insists he’d rather retire than become a regular reserve.
He told El Pais: “I will retire at Barça. That is for sure. What I will not accept is to retire as a substitute. See, if it’s the last three months of a season and it’s my turn, well, well. But a whole year on the bench? No, I don’t feel like it.”

He continued: “I understand numbers but the Fair Play issue is difficult for me to understand. I don’t know. Me, I feel with the president and it is clear yes I have to reach an agreement because otherwise you cannot sign up a transfer. And I think that if Leo was renewed the numbers would be very complicated … I don’t know if it was feasible or not with everyone making a monumental effort.
“I don’t have the information.”
Barcelona defender, Gérard Pique has revealed that his relationship with Colombian music star, Shakira, had caused problems between him and former manager, Pep Guardiola.
Guardiola left Pique behind at Barcelona to join Bayern Munich and is now the Manager at Manchester City.
The Spaniard had a success-laden time at Camp Nou with the help of Pique and other top football stars.
However, reflecting on their time with Guardiola, Pique admitted that he came close to quitting Barcelona between the 2011 and 2012 campaigns when his bond with Shakira was tested.
“We reached an important point of tension with him and with the dressing room in general,” Pique told La Sotana.
“The rivalry with Jose Mourinho was very exhausting. Pep wanted absolute control of everything that happened.
“I started dating Shakira and the relationship with him changed; now the relationship is perfect. I had a lot of pressure. I felt that in training I had to do everything perfectly.
“If there was a moment in which I thought about leaving Barca, it was that season 2011-12. I suffered a lot in this last year with him.”
Barcelona defender Gerard Pique is quietly confident of Lionel Messi signing his new contract and staying.
The Catalan is keen to see the No.10 stay on at the Camp Nou for the 2021/22 season, despite his contract having expired at the end of June.
“We’re waiting for him to sign the renewal and to have him with us,” Pique said.
“I hope he’s convinced.”
Barcelona had a disastrous start to the 2020/21 season, which ultimately proved to be their downfall as they mounted an unlikely comeback in the title race, only to fall short in the final weeks of the season.
With LaLiga Santander being described as the “foundation for the rest of the season”, Pique is hungry for a strong start domestically.
“I’m going into this season with the same enthusiasm as my first,” Pique said.
“We must try to start well. Generally, when we win league titles, it’s because we pick up a good rhythm from the start and pull clear, or we build up a lead and maintain it.
“We’ll try to do the same and hope that Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid don’t do what they did last year.”
