  • The essence of prayer – Femi Aribisala

    By Femi Aribisala

Jesus says we should pray and not give up. (Luke 18:1). But why do we need to pray? God says: “I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them.” (Ezekiel 11:5). Why then do we have to tell God what he already knows? God does not only know all the thoughts we think, he even determines when we think them. Then why pray when God knows what we are going to say before we say it?

    Why pray?

Solomon says: “The preparations of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.” (Proverbs 16:1). Then why pray if we can only say what God allows us to say? Solomon says furthermore: “Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” (Proverbs 19:21). Why pray then if it is God’s counsel that always holds? Why pray if God’s thoughts are not our thoughts and his ways are not our ways? (Isaiah 55:8).

Indeed, as with everything else, we only pray because God enables us to do so. Jesus says: “Without me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). If God does not enable us, we cannot even pray. Thus the psalmist pleads with God: “Revive us, and we will call upon your name.” (Psalm 80:18).

But what is the point of praying to God if the initiative to pray itself comes from God himself? Why pray if, according to Jesus, prayer should always be “God’s will be done?” (Matthew 6:10). Why pray if, according to Hebrews, God’s counsel is immutable? (Hebrews 6:17). The wise man says: “Every decision is from the Lord.” (Proverbs 16:33). That means God is the first determinant of even the most random things we do or say.

    Jesus prayed

We begin to understand the import of prayer when we look at Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2). Knowing what we now know about Jesus, that he is indeed the Lord God Almighty, it is significant that he spent a lot of time in prayer. Why would God need to pray? Why would God the Son pray continually to God the Father?

The answer immediately informs our understanding of the necessity for prayer. The Son needs to pray to the Father in order to have a continuing relationship with him. Without communication, there can be no relationship. Therefore, we also need to be prayerful, that we may have a continuing relationship with God.

The Prodigal Son went to a distant land, far away from the Father. He wrote no letters home. But Jesus came to a distant land far away from heaven and remained in constant communication with God. He wrote letters home every day. He skyped, sent text messages and emails. He also spent a fortune making inter-galactic phone-calls.

Prayer then primarily concretises our relationship with God. Indeed, the privilege of prayer is the evidence that a relationship exists. This is a critical part of our inheritance in Christ. Thanks to Jesus, we can now: “come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16).

Prayer gives us intimacy with God whereby we get to know and comprehend his love that surpasses knowledge. (Ephesians 3:17-19). Of a truth, there are so many things that flesh and blood cannot reveal to us. Only God can.

Jeremiah says: “Pray that the Lord your God will tell us where we should go and what we should do.” (Jeremiah 42:3). The truth of the matter is that we don’t know our right from our left; we don’t know what to do. “The way of man is not in himself; it is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.” (Jeremiah 10:23). Therefore, it is necessary to ask God for direction because: “A man’s steps are of the LORD.” (Proverbs 20:24).

    Laundry list

However, Jesus never prayed a laundry list prayer, like most of us are wont to do. He never prayed Father give me this and that. On the contrary, he says: “Your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask him.” (Matthew 6:8). Well, if he knows already, why does Jesus counsel: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7).

Prayer belongs to the generation of Jacob; the generation of those who seek God’s face and not his hand. (Psalm 24:6). When Jesus gave us a guideline for prayer, our daily bread was only 1 out of 10 petitions. Moreover, our daily bread is Jesus himself, the bread of life, and not just food that perishes. (John 6:27). When we ask, the primary thing we are to ask for is God himself. When we seek, the only thing we seek is the face and kingdom of God. When we knock, it is in order to enter into the glorious presence of God for: “in his presence is fullness of joy.” (Psalm 16:11).

Like praise which God inhabits (Psalm 22:3), prayer attracts God. It brings God so much closer to us: “The Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to him.” (Deuteronomy 4:7). “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” (Psalm 145:18).

    Friends of God

True Christianity is not a religion of rules and regulations like that practiced in many churches. True Christianity is a relationship: a relationship with God and with his Son Jesus. John says: “that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.” (1 John 1:3).

When we are prayerful, we become like Abraham, friends of God. (James 2:23). To such friends, God says: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10).

That is why prayer is particularly efficacious when we are in difficulty, in trouble or in over our heads. When we pray, we are saying like Jesus: “Not my will but yours be done.” (Luke 22:42). When we pray, we are inviting God into our situations and circumstances as poor and needy people because it is God who: “performs all things for (us).” (Psalm 57:2). When we pray, we are asking God for help and for deliverance.

When we pray, we receive strength from God. “Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31). When Jesus prayed at Gethsemane: “An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.” (Luke 22:43).

When we pray: “the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard (our) hearts and (our) minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7). Accordingly, God says the reason why we are overwhelmed in life is because: “You refuse to ask for my help.” (Isaiah 43:22).

  • Prayer, fast not enough to move Nigeria forward, says Osinbajo

Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, on Wednesday, said no amount of prayer and fast by Nigerians could move the nation forward without hard work.

Osinbajo said as a pastor himself, he understood the law of sowing and reaping and knew the implication of leaving what was supposed to be done undone.

The Acting President spoke in Abuja during an interactive session organised for public and civil servants on the implementation of the three Executive Orders which he signed last week.

He said the prosperity and abundance being enjoyed by great nations today were not created by spirits, but by men.

While saying the executive orders were meant to aid the ease of doing business in Nigeria, he warned that anytime government officials deliberately delayed what they could do immediately, they were holding back the future of the country.

Osinbajo stated, “No matter how much you pray or fast, our country cannot grow without some of us deciding to do the hard work that makes nations work.

“I am a pastor, a spiritual person, and I understand the law of sowing and reaping. It is a spiritual law that has tremendous physical implications. Every time that we delay, or frustrate what we can do today, leaving it till tomorrow, we hold back the future. We too must reap what we have sown by experiencing delays.

“If you help others to achieve, if you help your nation, you have sown good seeds. You will find help and you will prosper too.”

Osinbajo urged the officials not to see the policies as government but personal policies.

He warned government officials against stifling businesses by delaying their registration, adding that such unnecessary delays also affected employment.

The acting President said, “Every generation of people owes the next generation a debt. That debt is paid by ensuring that we provide for the means for the next generation to survive.

“Or at least, we have a duty to ensure that we do not destroy the means of survival and prosperity of the next generation.

“But there are some people in every generation who have a special burden, a more important role than others in preparing for present prosperity and future abundance.”

Osinbajo stated that small or large businesses could not be created or could be frustrated out of existence if the environment for doing business in a country was harsh or difficult.

He stated, “So when a potential business owner wants to register a company, collect tax clearance certificate or obtain NAFDAC registration or SON certification, or expatriate quotas, or any other papers, approvals or certification from government, and we do not willingly and efficiently help him or her, we are killing the jobs and prosperity that he would have created.

“Every time we say come back next week to someone for something we can do today, we postpone prosperity of one person but in reality, we postpone the prosperity of so many who would have earned something from the business.

“So every time that a public official is an obstacle to business in any way, he attacks the prosperity of our economy and he attacks our future because it means our children cannot find jobs.”

On improved remuneration, Osinbajo assured the officials that they were in safe hands with him and President Muhammadu Buhari in the saddle.

“I have served in the public service most of my adult life. As a university teacher, adviser to a federal minister and attorney-general, I earned salaries; so I understand how salary increases can be such good news,” Osinbajo added.

The acting President stated that Nigerians would soon start seeing the manifestation of some of the reforms taken by the Federal Government in the agricultural sector.

He declared that the country would soon start producing local rice that would compete favourably with any brand in the world.

Osinbajo said this in Abuja during an interactive session with some middle level civil and public servants on the ease of doing business.

He called on Nigerians to increase their patronage of products manufactured locally, adding that this would enable the government to reduce the level of unemployment in the country.

Citing the example of rice production, he explained that Nigeria had enough capacity to grow quality rice that would meet the demands of not only Nigerians but all the countries in Africa.

Osinbajo stated that if Nigerians could consume what the country produced locally, the twin problems of poverty and unemployment would be easily addressed.

He said it was worrisome that rice imported from China, India and Thailand was sold at cheaper prices to those produced locally, adding that this was as a result of subsidy enjoyed by farmers in those countries.

The acting President added, “It is worrisome that locally produced rice is still expensive than imported rice from India, China and Thailand.

“Rice produced in these countries are subsidised by their respective governments making rice from the region cheap and affordable.

“By subsiding rice production for farmers, more jobs are created. We are planning to introduce some kinds of assistance to our farmers in due course. Our rice will have to compete with any rice in the world.”

  • Cleric calls on Nigerians to pray for Buhari

Cleric calls on Nigerians to pray for Buhari

Rev. Soji Adeniyi of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lokoja, has appealed to Nigerians to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari,as he traveled out of the country on health ground.

‎Adeniyi made the appeal on Sunday in Lokoja, his sermon entitled, “The need to always pray for a nation.”

The cleric said there was a need for the people to always seek the face of God for their leaders and country.

The Reverend, who prayed for the quick recovery of Buhari, said he would triumph over the sickness and return in good health to continue his duty to the nation.

He advised people who form the habit of wishing their fellow human death to eschew such attitude, adding that it was against the scripture.

Adeniyi, however, urged leaders to always have the fear of God in their actions toward the led and make it a duty to serve the people.

He expressed the hope that Nigeria would soon be ranked among great nations of the world.

  • Arrest of Audu Maikori and call to pray for Buhari – Fani-Kayode

Arrest of Audu Maikori and call to pray for Buhari – Fani-Kayode

    By Femi Fani-Kayode

Permit me to begin this contribution with an aside.

It is only a weak, insecure, paranoid, wicked, heartless, ignorant, lawless and callous government that refuses to identify, apprehend, prosecute and hang the bloodthirsty, psychopathic and murdering Janjaweed Islamist Fulani militants and herdsmen and instead arrests an innocent and accomplished young man like Audu Maikori who simply had the courage to cry out to the world about the barbarous genocide that the people of Southern Kaduna and members of his ethnic group and religious faith are being subjected to all over the north.

I am convinced that my old friend Governor Nasir El Rufai has lost it. He has literally been driven mad by the power that he now wields. If he wants peace in Kaduna state and in the entire country is this the way to achieve it?

Does he really believe that locking up his critics and those that have expressed concern about the mass murder and crimes against humanity that are being perpetuated in his state by his Fulani friends and kinsmen who he publicly admitted that he sends public funds to is the way forward?

Does he not know that the suppression of dissenting voices and intimidation will only lead to more anger, resistance, violence and dissent?

Can he not build bridges rather than burn them? Can he not make friends rather than make enemies?

Here is my message to him: the people of Southern Kaduna are NOT your slaves and neither are the northern minorities, the people of the south or the Christians of Nigeria.

You can kill and lock up as many of us as you like: our faith will only continue to grow, we shall continue to go from strength to strength and we shall oppose and resist you till the bitter end.

At the appointed time the Lord will strike back at you for your power show and sheer wickedness and He shall deliver His people.

This brings me to the meat of this intervention.

One of the qualities that a Prince must have is the ability to speak truth to power no matter the price, no matter the consequences and no matter whose ox is gored.

Today I will share a truth which many may not like but which, as a leader and a Prince, I am constrained to share.

Some have suggested that every Nigerian is compelled by God to pray for our ailing President. I disagree. I do not wish him ill or wish him dead but at the same time I do not subscribe to the view that I am compelled to pray for him.

I would rather save my prayers for the thousands of Audu Maikori’s of this world who are suffering persecution and who are languishing in dingy cells all over our country for doing absolutely nothing wrong.

I would rather save my prayers for the souls and families of those that have been cut short by the guns and bullets of government security forces, the bombs of radical Islamic terrorists and the matchetes and knives of the Fulani militias and herdsmen.

When the Holy Bible says we must pray for our leaders the author was referring to God-fearing and Godly leaders and not usurpers and tyrants.

The Bible says we must ‘resist evil’ and few would dispute the fact that with the economy in shambles, with the naira at its lowest value in its entire history, with the level of impunity and corruption in government and with the amount of brutal persecution, politically-motivated arrests and prosecutions and the massive shedding of innocent blood that goes on in our countrt today, Buhari and his Federal Government are pure evil.

As a matter of fact they are a cursed government that have come to do nothing but spread death, disease, poverty, tears, hardship, suffering, division, hatred, persecution, injustice, destruction and wickedness.

To those that insist that even evil tyrants are worthy of our goodwill and prayers I put the following questions.

Would you have prayed for Herod, Pharaoh, Belshazzar, Nebuchadnezzar, Jezebel, Ahab, Athalia, Nimrod, Adolf Hitler or Idi Amin?

Again would you have had night vigils or made passionate supplications for Emperor Bokassa, Josef Stalin, Pol Pot, Nero, Caligula, Sennacherub, King Leopold 11 of Belgium, Count Vlad the Impailer of Transylvania and Tsar Ivan the Terrible of Russia?

Would you have conducted Holy Mass or rolled your rosary for Osama Bin Ladin of Al Qaeda, Muhammed Al Baghdadi of ISIL, Abubakar Shekau of Boko Haram or Usman Dan Fodio of the Fulani Caliphate?

Again would you have fasted and prayed for Atilla the Hun, Genghis Khan, Kaiser Wilhelm 11 of Germany, the Inca and Aztec Kings of South America, the Borgias of Spain, King Darius of Persia and so many more of history’s monsters and beasts to remain alive and to continue to torment and rule their people?

Do you know that those listed above collectively killed or caused the deaths of over 500 million people between them?

Do you really believe that they were God’s choices and that it was wrong to pray them out or remove them from power?

Did God make a mistake when He killed Pharaoh and slew Herod for their wickedness and evil against the children of Israel AFTER their victims rose up in prayer and cried to Him to deliver them?

Did you read anywhere in your Bible that the holy Prophets and believers prayed for the wicked Kings and rulers to continue to rule?

Did Elijah not oppose Jezebel and did David and Samuel not renounce and stand against Saul?

Do you not know the difference between a righteous ruler whom God loves and whom He installed and a blood-sucking demon and vicious tyrant whom the devil is using?

Do you know the number of people this government has killed whether they be Biafran and IPOB youths, Shiite Muslims or Christian refugees?

Do you know the number of Christians that are being slaughtered in the north on a daily basis by Government-backed and protected Fulani militias and herdsmen?

Do you know that Buhari shares some of the barbaric sentiments and evil goals and objectives of Boko Haram?

Do you know that he once said that an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the north? Do you know that he once said that he believes that sharia should be spread throughout the federation?

Do you know thay he once said that Muslims should only vote for Muslims? Do you know that he once said that Christians should not be concerned about sharia because it is the limbs of Muslims that are being cut off and not theirs?

Do you know that he once went to Oyo state and accused Governor Lam Adesina’s “people” (meaning the Yoruba) of killing his own Fulani people?

Do you know that the Minister of Information of his Government, a serial liar by the name of Lie Mohammed, once said that it was wrong and unconstitutional to proscribe and ban Boko Haram?

Do you know that about one year ago the same Liar Mohammed said that Boko Haram had been “technically defeated” and that a few days ago he said that it was “a fallacy” to say that Muslims killed Christians in Nigeria?

This was after 808 Christians were slaughtered in cold blood on Christmas eve and Christmas day a few weeks ago.

Do you know that Buhari is the third Mahdi of Nigeria? The first was Usman Dan Fodio, the second was Sir Ahmadu Bello and Muhammadu Buhari is the third.

Do you know that their vision and dream is for the Fulani to be the “first amongst equals” and to conquer, rule, dominate and subjugate the people and numerous ethnic nationalities that make up Nigeria in perpetuity and “dip the Koran in the Atlantic ocean?”

Do you know that they have gone very far in this quest and almost achieved their objectives? Do you know that restructuring the nation or, failing that, a complete break up of Nigeria into two or more pieces is the only thing that can save the people of the south and the Middle Belt from serfdom and slavery?

Do you know that Herbert Macauly, Bode Thomas, Obafemi Awolowo, Kaduna Nzeogwu, Emmanuel Ifeajuna, Victor Banjo, Fajuyi, Emeka Odimegwu-Ojukwu, J.S. Tarka, Isaac Boro, Solomon Lar, Josiah Olawoyin, Paul Gindiri, J.D. Gomwalk, Silas Janfa, Zamani Lekwot, T.Y. Danjuma, Jolly Tanko Yusuf, Gideon Orkar, Ken Saro-Wiwa, Tony Nyiam, Saliba Mukoro, MKO Abiola, Bobo Nwosisi, Franklin Atake, Alfred Rewane, Abraham Adesanya, Ayo Adebanjo, Olaniyonu Ajayi, Bola Ige and so many others that saw this satanic agenda coming and unfolding many decades and years ago and resisted it with every fibre of their being have now been vindicated?

Do you know that the principle of self-deterimination and the concept of Biafra and southern and Middle Belt liberation is more alive today than ever before?

Do you know that there are millions of youths all over this country today that are prepared to sacrifice their lives for this principle and concept and resist ethnic and religious bigotry, subjugation, domination and tyranny with the last drop of their blood?

Do you know that those that have been subjected to genocide by the usual suspects for the last 56 years of our existence as a nation are now saying “enough is enough?”

Do you know what northern Christians have been and are still being subjected to over the years and particularly today?

Do you know that Igbo youths and Shiite Muslims have been subjected to crimes against humanity by the Nigerian state in the last one year and seven months?

Do you know that Nigeria under President Buhari is a failed state which lives on lies, thrives on deceit, breathes on persecution, feeds on supression, energises on intimidation and is fuelled and propelled by the most basic, crude and primitive form of Goebellian propaganda?

Do you know anything at all? Do you know how many people are being locked up and persecuted in the name of a fake and selective anti-corruption war in this country?

Do you know the level of wickedness and injustice that is being perpetuated by this government?

Do you know how many families have suffered and been destroyed by them? Do you know about the abuse of power and the gross violation of human rights and civil liberties that is going on?

Do you know how corrupt and deceitful thiis government is? Do you know how much blood they have on their hands?

Then you say that we should pray and support such people? There is nowhere in the Bible that we are called to pray for liars, cheats, sadists, anti-Christs, cold-blooded murderers and pyschopaths as our leaders.

Rather the Bible says we must resist evil and injustice and stand up for the weak, the persecuted, the hungry, the suffering, the vulnerable and the poor.

There is no where in the Bible that we are enjoined to support and encourage genocidal maniacs, the killer of believers, the tormenters of the faithful, the persecutors of God’s servants and the destroyers of the Church.

Nigeria has no place for quislings and psychophants that are trying to curry favour with or impress those that are desperately trying to enslave our people and islamise our country.

My position is simple and clear. I will never pray for those who I consider to be evil and I will never allow myself to be subjugated, silenced or turned into a second class citizen in my own country.

Whatever the consequence is for my defiance, if the Lord wills it, let it come. Let us finish this thing once and for all. I would rather be a free soul in heaven than a quivering and gutless slave on earth.

I speak for millions when I say that we will NEVER bow to those that believe that they were born to rule and that seek to impose their faith, their values and their way of life on us.

Unlike others in these shores, those of us that are prepared to stand up and say “no more” are captains of our ship and masters of our soul.

We either forge our own destinies, chart our own course and free our own people or we shall die trying. God wills it. And so it shall be.

  • Don’t wish Buhari dead, pray for his return – Imam begs Nigerians

The Chief lmam of lmale, llorin, Alhaji Abdullahi AbdulHammed, has urged Nigerians to intensify prayers for the quick recovery and safe return of President Muhammadu Buhari instead of wishing him dead.

AbdulHammed, a former lslamic Studies lecturer at the Kwara College of Education, llorin, gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Ilorin.

He condemned insinuations from some Nigerians that Buhari would not return to the country alive, urging such people to desist from what he described as sinful talks.

“The medical trip of the president is normal. Being a septuagenarian demands a regular medical check-up,” he said.

He recommended that prayers be offered continually for the nation’s leaders, regardless of their religion, tribe, language and culture.

He prayed for the quick recovery and safe return of the president to enable him continue his good intention to bring about the total transformation of the country.

AbdulHammeed particularly praised Buhari’s fight against corruption since his assumption of office, praying God for its logical conclusion.

“The nation is endowed with all potentials to be great, but corruption, which has reached an alarming stage, is retarding the progress of the country in all sectors of the nation’s economy,” he regretted.

He appealed to Nigerians to shun destructive tendencies capable of retarding the progress of the nation.

  • Ambode, others task citizens to pray for Nigeria’s progress

Ambode, others task citizens to pray for Nigeria’s progress

The Lagos state Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, on Saturday advised Nigerians to pray for the progress of the country.

Ambode gave the advice at the 2017 Inter-denominational Divine Service (IDDS), entitled, Grace in Recession, at Shephard-Hill Baptist Church Obanikoro, Lagos.

‘’The church and indeed everyone who believes in the efficacy of prayer have a responsibility and patriotic duty to pray for the well-being and progress of our state and nation,’’ he said.

This is he said became necessary “at this critical period in the history of our nation.’’

“Prayer is the key and there is no challenge that cannot be surmounted with prayers, every situation, whether good or bad requires prayers. For us in Lagos state, we have been truly blessed.

“Indeed, we have enjoyed His grace which has enabled us as a state to experience unprecedented breakthroughs in spite the economic recession.

“I am absolutely convinced in my mind that all of these success stories were made possible by our collective prayers and very importantly, the relatively peaceful atmosphere that has prevailed within the state over time.

“As we engage in ceaseless prayers, we must make conscious efforts to sustain this peaceful atmosphere by refraining from acts potentially divisive and capable of igniting avoidable crisis.

“For us, as government, we will continue to promote fairness, justice and everything that will make life more comfortable for our people. W remain committed to the goal of making the Lagos work for all.

“Making all our communities economically viable and liveable as well as creating opportunities for everyone to actualise his/her potential without discrimination on the basis of ethnic affiliation, religious beliefs or socio- economic circumstances.

“By His grace, Lagos state will continue to prosper and our nation will rise again and become a pride to the entire black race and humanity,” he said.

Also speaking Most Rev. Sunday Matilukuro, Primate, The First African Church Mission, urged religious leaders to always tell the truth to the country’s leaders at all times.

“Religious leaders should always speak out when things are going wrong in the country.

“If they want to be politicians, they should come out as one and not hide under the guise of being religious leaders,’’ he said.

The Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Apostle Alexander Bamgbola ,said that Nigerians needed divine knowledge and understanding to come out of economic recession peacefully.

“May the Lord see us through the current economic recession in our land,’’ he said.

Charly Boy says prayer alone cannot save Nigeria

Entertainment veteran, Charly boy has said prayers alone cannot save Nigeria. He made this known in an article he recently posted online. Read below

Which kin Mumu thinking be that. Only Prayers Can Save Nigeria?

Our Docility is Killing our Humanity; Our indifference is Enabling Corruption in Governance and our Silence is Creating Political Monsters with the Audacity for Impunity and Criminality.

Mr Prayer warrior, If prayers can save Nigeria, pray tell. Why are there millions of frustrated Naijas? Has prayers reduced our poverty? Has our prayers killed most of our evil leaders who have caused us great hardship? Has our prayers stopped the everyday increment in our cost of living? Why are so many young people committing suicide these days?

Our Mumu never Do? Shey all we do is to endure and adjust as usual. When asked, how are you, you answer like a cracked CD, ” It is Well” How can it be well when you sit in your corner and never contribute to making it well, when all you do is dry fasting and the internet. And all you have to offer as a solution to your problem is, “God Dey.

See you, Dat one no be poor man prayer? and you wan form Big Boy. Sorry.

When your lazy ass is home 24/7, living on your phone, laptop burning your data as if your life depends on it. Purging many Naijas with your terrible english and your ignorant useless comments, hoping it will be well in Jesus name with the loudest chant of amen…

Who you dey deceive. My people, take it from me, Jesus is not coming any time soon. Forget it. God is not sending down Angels to come and fix Nigeria for us.

Frustratedand religious Naijas, Abegi make una park well. We are not living in biblical times.
Tell me where what happened in the Bible has happened in todays world, because many will use the bible as their book of reference as if we still live back in the days.

No emotional or religious blackmail please…and Yes I read the Bible. Israelites took the decision to make their country a better place. Where in history has prayers fixed the economy.

Such mentality is laughable, It encourages the people who can barely survive to see their condition as something they could/should live with. It makes people see mediocrity, poverty and quick fixes as normal.

See as our pastors/politician dey chop us like chewing gum.

This is why we rather congregate in worship centers and hold chain prayers; calling upon God to come down from his throne and transform our gagragagra nation.

Fellow frustrated Nigerians, this is our battle to fight. We must retrieve our stolen future, it is our only option, or else most of us will die for nothing.

We must define how much we care about this Country; How willing we are to move from Social Media/Church to the Streets and How Ready we are to Make your Country proud. We do not have all the answers to the Nigeria Problems; But we know the People can Change the System.

The power of a nation lies in the hands of the people/youths. No way again, must we allow analog rifrafs, senile, greedy, selfish gang of thieves in the senate/executive to continue to cause us more pain and hopelessness. They must not continue to rule us.

God will never come down to fight our battle, the time has finally come to take our destiny in our hands. Our uproars, our constant revolting, angry protests, will do the job.
