Popular comedian, Oluwadamilola Adekoya better known as Princess has opened up on the pain that trailed her failed marriage.

TheNewsGuru recalls that Princess got married to Jeremiah Adeshola in 2013. However, the union crashed within two weeks.

Speaking about the failed marriage in a chat with Chude Jideonwo, Princess said she had always been sceptical about the relationship because “the guy can’t stand me.”

She described the marriage as “a mistake that should never have happened,” adding that “I cried, I became sick and lost weight” after the divorce.

“I remember the day of the court wedding. I said to my mum I don’t want to go ahead with this wedding. The person I am getting married to is not even talking to me. The guy can’t stand me,” she said.

The couple got back together in 2019, but the relationship didn’t last long either.

Princess also recounted how she was neglected in a near-death situation during the second stint of their marriage.

“I remember asking, begging him to rub my back, and he said he’s not interested,” she said.

“I remember waking him up and begging him that I feel I am going to die any moment from now, but I don’t want to die inside the house, so he should please call the neighbours so they can take me to the hospital.”

Baba Ijesha: Princess’ daughter recounts how Nollywood actor allegedly defiled her

A 14-year-old minor (name withheld), on Wednesday, in a video played during proceedings at an Ikeja Special Offences Court said that Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James alias Baba Ijesha, told her he was her boyfriend.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the video was a taped recording of the child forensic interview conducted on May 15 by Mrs Olabisi Ajayi-Kayode, a child expert and the Executive Director of the Cece Yara Foundation.

The video was played during the cross-examination of Ajayi-Kayode by the defence counsel. Mr Babatunde Ogala (SAN).

The child, during the interview, described the interaction she had with the 49-year-old embattled actor on April 19 when she met him at her foster mother’s home.

He was invited following revelations that he had defiled her seven-years ago and unknown to him, a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) camera had been set up in the home.

The minor in the interview said when Baba Ijesha came into the home, he initially acted like he was having a phone conversation and that the defendant began checking the apartment to know whether anyone was home before he approached her.

“He said you’re a smart young girl, my baby. Do you have a boyfriend? I said no and he said since you do not have a boyfriend now that you’re much more mature, you’re now mine, I am your boyfriend.

“He said I used to teach you some things when you were small. I asked him what things so that I could record him with my phone.

“My phone was under the throw pillow because I thought he wanted to confess to what he did seven-years ago but I was unable to record him.

“He said don’t you remember, me and you used to play together, I used to teach you some things when you were small. Me and you had a contract and I asked him what contract?

“He asked me to sit on his legs and I said no and he said you that when you were small you were not afraid. Now you’re afraid,” the minor said in the interview.

The child told Ajayi-Kayode that Baba Ijesha during the April 19 incident, began touching her sexually and he had asked her to bring him some water.

“When I went to the kitchen he also followed me and it was at this point that my mother and the other men (CCTV company staff) came in,” she said.

Earlier, the minor narrated to Ajayi-Kayode what transpired when the Nollywood actor allegedly defiled her seven-years ago.

She said that the first incident occurred when Baba Ijesha came to visit her sick foster mother when she was a seven-year old. She said she was sitting on the carpet watching cartoons while he sat on the couch.

She said the defendant asked her to remove her underwear and that he brought out his private part and asked her to wriggle her waist while sitting on his laps.

“My concentration was on the cartoon I was watching, I couldn’t remember how long I was on his laps before I felt some wetness.

“He cleaned himself with a handkerchief and he asked me to clean myself up and I went to the bathroom to clean myself up with a towel,” she said.

The minor said that the defendant told her not to tell anyone about what transpired between them.

The child told Ajayi-Kayode that next day, Baba Ijesha came to her home with some fruits for her foster mother and she was asked to pick up the fruits from his car.

“The car was parked at a T-junction and there was a wall and a gutter there and no one was on the other side.

“The fruits were on the back seat and he opened the door in front and asked me to take the fruits.

“When I stretched to pick the fruits from the back seat, he put the car keys into my private part and at the same time he was trying to kiss me.

“After this incident, I did not see him again until seven-years later,” she said.
During the interview, the child expert gave the minor a male and a female doll to depict how the defendant allegedly molested her seven-years ago.

The child gave a demonstration of how the molestation happened to the observation of Ajayi-Kayode.

The actor faces a six-count charge bordering on indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault by penetration.

Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo adjourned the case until Oct. 21 for continuation of trial.

  • Arin, Princess evicted from BBNaija S6

Arin, Princess evicted from BBNaija S6

Arin and Princess were evicted from the house, thus giving Emmanuel, Nini, Saskay and Tega another opportunity to fight for survival.

Arin, the fashion designer and arts collector was the first to be evicted, while Princess followed. However, Princess, not given to show of emotions and drama, stopped the housemates from giving her a farewell hug.

She also announced that her all time crush in the house was Cross, just as she had earlier confessed in one of her Diary Sessions.

    Why they were evicted:

    Arin
    1. Arin’s eviction has shown that being part of a clique is not enough to survive in the house. Though she formed a very strong bond with Nini, Peace and Tega, that wasn’t enough. She needed to build a huge fan base. She never built one, and that worked against her. She took fans for granted and paid dearly for it.

    2. Arin’s eviction also showed that intelligence is not enough. One has to build relationships across cliques and gain the support of fans.

    3. Many BBNaija fans saw her in a negative light, given her piercings. Little wonder they called her Lord of the Rings. They also believed she was too bossy and spent time gossiping.

    Princess

    1. The driver-turned BBNaija housemate was uninspiring throughout her stay in the house. So she ended up alienating her fellow housemates and potential fans. And when one loses opportunities to make friends within and outside the house, one pays dearly for it.

    2. She was never part of any clique and never built any relationship. Neither was she in a “situationship.” Rather she was busy doing her own thing and kept to herself always. She seemed laid-back.

    3. Being in the house is about building relationships and networking. Princess failed to do that. Rather she was crushing on Cross but never made any bold move. As she often confessed, she kept shooting shots but none hit target.

He promised to go all out to have a relationship with Peace, a fellow housemate.
Cross described Peace as a “Correct babe” he had observed very closely in the last three weeks.
This made it so obvious that Cross was not interested in Princess, but Peace.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the television reality show started July 24, and lit currently has 23 housemates.
The winner of the Big Brother Naija, Season 6, Shine Ya Eye edition will get N90 million cash prize and other prizes. (

She, however, said that she broke up with him after she discovered that he was still married to his wife when they were in the relationship.

Princess said that her ex-boyfriend thereafter requested that she forfeited all the things he got for her after she announced the breakup with him.

The reality star also said that point was one of the most difficult of her life but it also made her stronger.

“When I eventually broke up with him after I discovered he is married and he’s been lying about his divorce, he said I should return everything he got me,” Princess said.

“I thought he was joking but he meant it, including the shop he set up for me, and the apartment he rented for me, he said I should give everything up.

“It is funny now but at that point, it was difficult for me. The experience actually made me stronger and I started doing a lot of things that only men are capable of doing it. It is been a long journey, and things are not bad anymore.”

How ‘Baba Ijesha’ defiled my foster daughter while watching cartoons – Princess

Actress and comedienne, Ms Damilola Adekoya alias Princess, has narrated to an Ikeja Special Offences Court how Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, allegedly defiled her foster daughter.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Adekoya made the revelation on Monday while testifying as the first prosecution witness in the trial of the defendant over six-counts of defilement.

According to her, the said daughter, (name withheld), was allegedly defiled while she was watching cartoons.

Led in evidence by Mrs Olayinka Adeyemi, the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Adekoya said the defendant defiled the minor, seven-years ago while she was watching cartoons in the living room.

Princess told the court that she first met Baba Ijesha in 2008, and she had been a friend and a benefactor to him ever since.

She explained that in 2013, she had challenges in her marriage and she was also battling health challenge, upon which the defendant paid her a visit to sympatise with her.

She said during his visit, she had left her apartment for approximately seven minutes to see off a visiting relative, leaving Baba Ijesha with her then seven-year-old daughter who was watching cartoons

“My daughter told me about what happened seven-years later. She said on that day, when I saw my guest off, Baba Ijesha asked her if she was enjoying her cartoon, and he now told her to come so she can play with her.

” She said when she got to where he was sitting, he asked her to remove her pant and he, removed his trousers.

” At that point, I asked her which Baba Ijesha? She said it’ is the same Baba Ijesha, Lanre Omiyinka James.

” She said he asked her to sit on him and start wriggling my waist. I continued until something like water splashed all over my body and he told me not to tell my mum, that it is just like play, just like cartoon.

“She said when he heard the gate closed, he told her to stand up and go to the bathroom to clean herself and he then used his face towel to clean up himself,” Princess said.

She also told the court that after the revelations, she asked her daughter why she did not tell her about what happened and but told her that she did not initially understand what happened.

The witness said that her daughter, however, said she understood what happened to her only a few years after the incident.

“I help children who have been molested around the Bariga area and on that, one day I was crying and talking about what had happened to the child.

“My daughter said when she overheard me, she figured that, that was what had happened to her,” she said.

Princess again alleged that Baba Ijesha also molested her daughter the day after the first incident when he came to deliver some fruits into her house.

“He opened the car and told her that that is the nylon, bend down and pick it, and that when she bent down to pick up the fruits, he inserted the car keys into her vagina.

“She said immediately, she felt some kind of pain and jerked, saying, ‘Uncle’ and that he said I’ve told you not to tell your mummy anything that happened. You’re my friend,” she said.

Princess said her daughter said she did not tell her about the second incident because of the state of her health and that she had just undergone surgery.

Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo adjourned the case until July 27 for continuation of trial.
