Tanzanian singer reveals how he first met his wife, Priscilla Ojo

Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux, has opened up on the ordeal that resulted in meeting his wife, Priscilla Ojo.

The singer while speaking at a surprise second engagement party held in Tanzania on Wednesday, recounted how he missed his flight at a Rwandan airport and couldn’t get a business-class seat on the next available flight, and then he saw Priscilla laughing at him while he was passing through the business class of the plane.

He said that his attraction to Priscilla was love at first sight, adding that it wasn’t easy to win her over.

Jux further narrated that even after taking his number, she refused to text or call him, and when he eventually texted her after another meeting, she didn’t reply.

The singer noted that, despite the snub, he wasn’t deterred and soon realized Priscilla was the woman for him.

He said, “The first day I saw Priscilla in Rwanda, I missed my flight and could not get a business-class seat because it was complete. I was pissed off, and after passing through the business class section, I saw her laughing at me.

“She took my number, and I told her to text me, but she did not. When we met again, I texted her, but she did not reply. In East Africa, I have fans, and people recognise me, but when she was around, it was just the two of us.

“I did not care about anything else because I was on a mission. I had always been mindful of my brand, but none mattered with her. As we continued meeting, I realised she was the woman I had been waiting for. God brought everything together in His perfect timing.”

She said, “I ensured they never felt it (divorce). Every Christmas, I ensured they got double gifts from me and their dad, and I did that for a long time. Whenever they asked about their dad, I told them he was a traveller, and they grew up believing that.”

“My mum did well with Baba Ijesha’s case, I was so proud”-Priscilla Ojo

Priscilla Ojo, daughter of actress Iyabo Ojo, has revealed how embarrassed she felt after her mother went live on social media in 2021 about Baba Ijesha’s case.

The social media influence noted that she also felt embarrassed when she watched her mother on the “Real Housewives of Lagos” reality show.

Opening up during a recent interview with Stephanie Coker on her “Me, Her & Everything Else” podcast, Priscilla Ojo disclosed that she felt bad when her mother fought dirty on live Television.

In her words: “I was so – I was so scared. Because I’m a private person regardless, I was like, oh my God. I didn’t want her to have haters or negative comments. I didn’t know how to stand it because it would affect me. But at the end of the day, my mom is herself.

“So if you like her, if you don’t like her, she’s still herself. So she’s not going to fake anything. She’s not going to do anything to make you not like her. So I was scared at first but then I was like okay, just do what you have to do.

“You’re trying because I don’t think I can do it. Having cameras follow me every day of my life. It will be hard. But I feel like she did quite well. She did well. I was so proud.

“Yeah! I think it was when she got into a fight and then she was like [shouting], I’m already used to that but I was like mummy, don’t let people see this. Oh my goodness. Because when she gets angry, you’ll think she literally hates you but that’s how she expresses herself.

“So I’m like mum, this is a family thing, don’t take it out there. So when it was out there, I was like “oh my god”. But then, you know, everybody has their own.

“You know that whole thing that happened between Baba Ijesha and all that, I spoke to my mother, I said “mum, don’t go live”. She said “oh it’s fine”. When I left, she locked the room. I was like “mum!” I was calling her, she’s like “don’t call me”, she blocked my number.

“Cuz me I’m the calm type, I don’t like social media drama so I was like mum, don’t do this. But I feel like she was fighting for the right cause.”
