Methodist Bishop releases prophecy for 2025

The Co-proprietor of Igbobi College, Yaba Lagos, Most. Rev. Stephen Adegbite has revealed Nigeria will witness restoration in the year 2025, with citizens making progress.

He said this on Sunday night, at the school’s Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at Reverend Angus Memorial Hall, in its premises.

Adegbite is supervising Bishop representing the Methodist Church Nigeria in the school, which the church founded together with the Anglican Mission in 1932.

He is also Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC).

“The message of Christmas is a message of hope, a message of restoration, a message of joy, in line with John 3:16. Nigeria will be restored again, that is the message for 2025,” he said.

Citing Joel 2:23, he said, ” The Lord will restore the years that the locusts have eaten, and the caterpillars, the Lord will deliver Nigeria, Nigeria will move forward, You will move forward.”

He commended principal, staff, parents and students for the successes achieved in the outgoing year.

Adegbite especially thanked the school principal, Rev. Dotun Akanbi, who, he said, was winding down, along with the Chaplain.

“Reverend Dotun Akanbi came here as a lay person but is leaving as a minister of God. This will be his last Christmas carol here, he and the Chaplain. Next year you’ll see new faces. They have done well.” he said.

He commended the principal for the academic excellence achieved in his tenure and prayed he would continue to progress spiritually even after leaving the college.

Adegbite also lauded the school choirmaster, Mr Tunji Ogunnoiki and the choristers for rendering harmonious tunes.

He thanked the old boys of the school that sponsored the event. The carol attracted many parents and old students of the school, among others.

Popular Nigerian Prophet drops shocking prophecies on Wike, Soyinka, others

The Wisdom Church Of Christ General Overseer, Prophet Bisi Olujobi has prophesied that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, will be fired and humbled out of office by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Wike will not end his first tenure with Tinubu as he will be fired and this will bring an end to his political career in River State except he can pray very well,” he said.

The prophet while addressing reporters on Monday said this among many other prophetic declarations he made available to reporters.

Olujobi who’s the International President of Federation of League of Concerned Prophets of Nigeria also noted that President Tinubu came in with the desire to change the evil narrative of the country, adding however that the President is spiritually and physically overwhelmed.

“He needed to be prayed for and encouraged constructively for him to achieve anything.

“Atiku’s name will echo strongly in the political landscape once more but the man may not achieve much from it,” he said.

He also said that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa will emerge victorious at the forthcoming Ondo State Gubernatorial Election, but added that the Governor needs to mend fences with the likes of Senator Jimoh Ibrahim and others.

He said Senator Monday Okpebholo will emerge winner in the September coming Edo State Governorship election, while his counterpart in PDP, Asue Ighodalo will come second.

“Professor Wole Soyinka should start preparing for a glorious home call.

“Many of President Tinubu’s cabinet members are saboteurs and conspirators; they will be kicked out in a matter of time,” he claimed.

  • Living the present in the future (1) – By Femi Aribisala

Living the present in the future (1) – By Femi Aribisala

“The future is already in the past”.

Solomon counsels believers in Christ: “Do not lean on your own understanding.” (Proverbs 3:5). This is because the ways of God are counter-intuitive. To first understand many things about the kingdom of God, we first often misunderstand them.

For example, we are accustomed to viewing our lives from the past to the present to the future. However, the Bible suggests that time flows from the future into the present and then into the past. Therefore, the believer should be future-oriented, forgetting the past. (Philippians 3:13).

    Joel’s prophecy

“It shall come to pass afterwards that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants, I will pour out My Spirit in those days.” (Joel 2:28-29).

This is a prophecy about something that will happen in the future. However, the Word of God says everything in the future is already in the past:

“That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which it may be said, ‘See, this is new’? It has already been in ancient times before us.” (Ecclesiastes 1:9-10).

Jesus is the Word of God. (Revelation 19:13). He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.(Hebrews 13:8).

Did people dream in the past? Yes indeed! But young men dreamt in the Old Testament. Joseph was 17 when he had his dreams. But Nebuchadnezzar was 42 when he had his. There does not seem to be any consistent pattern there.

Did people see visions in the past? Yes indeed! God said in the Old Testament: “I have also spoken by the prophets, and have multiplied visions.” (Hosea 12:10).

“God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said, ‘Jacob, Jacob!’ And he said, ‘Here I am.’ So He said, ‘I am God, the God of your father; do not fear to go down to Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there. I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also surely bring you up again; and Joseph will put his hand on your eyes.’” (Genesis 46:2-4).

But Israel was an old man of 130 years when he received these visions and went to Egypt. Ezekiel was in his 50s when he received his visions of God. In his case, Daniel was 85.

What about the prophecy of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit? Has it been fulfilled?

Jesus says the Holy Spirit was not yet given in the days of His flesh:

“On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” (John 7:37-40).

But Peter declared this prophecy fulfilled when the disciples received the Holy Spirit at the Pentecost. Miraculously, they were speaking in foreign tongues and bystanders thought they were drunk:

“Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, ‘Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.’” (Acts 2:14-17).

Joel’s prophecy was fulfilled at the Pentecost and it was not. It was partially fulfilled but not fully fulfilled. The prophecy says God will pour His Spirit on all flesh but not everybody received the Holy Spirit at the Pentecost.

“For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.” (1 Corinthians 13:9-10).

There were only about 120 people in the Upper Room at Pentecost. So, the Spirit was not poured upon ALL flesh. It was only poured on some flesh. At Pentecost, some received the Spirit before the appointed time. At the appointed time, all flesh will receive the Holy Spirit.

If, as Solomon says, every new thing has already happened in ancient times, we should ask: “Was the Holy Spirit poured upon people in the past before the Pentecost?”

    Revelation knowledge

God validated my regeneration when I received Christ by teaching me this song about David: “When the Spirit of the Lord is upon my soul I will dance like David danced.” I just woke on a Sunday morning singing this new song and when I got to church that morning, I found everybody singing the same song.

    But was David born again?

According to what the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, revealed by teaching me this song, David was born again. The song shows the Holy Spirit was in me like He was in David. That means, like me, David was born again.

David could not have written the Messianic Psalms in the Bible if he was not born again. Jesus confirms that the Holy Spirit spoke through David:

“Jesus answered and said, while He taught in the temple, “How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the Son of David? For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, ‘Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.’” (Mark 12:35-36).

David could not have heard God the Father speaking to God the Son if he was not born again. When David repented of his adultery with Bathsheba, he pleaded with God: “Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.” (Psalm 51:12).

This shows he had the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Himself confirms that some people received the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament. He says to Nicodemus:

“Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? (John 3:5-10). NKJV

Jesus expected Nicodemus to know that some people were born again in the Old Testament. He was surprised that he did not know.

John the Baptist knew about the Holy Spirit:

John bore witness, saying, ‘I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon (Jesus). I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’” (John 1:32-33).

John knew about the Holy Spirit because he had the Holy Spirit. God told Zacharias about his son, John the Baptist:

“He will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.” (Luke 1:15).

Lagos: 26-year-old man machetes pastor over fake prophesy

Lagos police  have arrested a 26-year-old man, one Akpannu, for allegedly cutting a pastor with a machete for allegedly giving him a fake prophecy.

Akpannu was alleged to have in May, 2023, cut the pastor of one of the new generation churches, Prophet Anayochukeu, for allegedly giving him a fake prophecy.

It was learnt that the incident  happened at the church’s headquarters in the Ijesha area of Lagos State.

The accused claimed that the pastor, during a prayer session, told him that he was about to lose his sister except when certain prayers were conducted.

The accused said a pastor had earlier told him that for him to be successful in business he must perform certain spiritual cleansing which required him to buy coconut and dry gin with which to pray.

Angered by the earlier prophecy which the accused claimed did not work, he attacked the second pastor with a cutlass inside the church premises.

The matter was reported to the police, who trailed the accused to his hideout where he was arrested.

While at the station, the accused alleged that both pastors instilled fear in him by giving him false prophecies that his only sister would die by January, this year.

Champions Royal Assembly pastor, Joshua Iginla has revealed the winner of the 2023 presidential election in the country.

According to Iginla, God will make the hated and most criticized candidate win the presidential election in the country.

In his series of prophecies, Iginla said: “Concerning the presidential election, I see the most criticized and hated candidate emerging winner under the permissive will of God.”

He also warned political parties against underestimating the Labour Party, LP.

    “Don’t underestimate the Labour party.

  • Contradictions that do not contradict [2] – By Femi Aribisala

Contradictions that do not contradict [2] – By Femi Aribisala

    By Femi Aribisala

“Must we reconcile ourselves to God or will God reconcile Himself to us?”

Paul says: “Nothing shall separate us from the love of God.” (Romans 8:38-39). I disagree, saying: “Sin can separate us from the love of God.”

Am I not contradicting the scriptures? No! There is no contradiction whatsoever. The Bible says both and we need to know why. It says nothing shall separate us from the love of God, and it also says sin can separate us from the love of God.

Jesus says: “By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.” (Matthew 18:16). These scriptures agree with Paul that nothing shall separate us from the love of God:

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end.” (Lamentations 3:22).

“‘Though the mountains be shaken, and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,’ says the Lord, who has compassion on you.” (Isaiah 54:10).

“The Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations.” (Psalm 100:5).

Nevertheless, when we hear that God loves us with everlasting love, we must make sure this everlasting love does not come to an end. Why? Because other scriptures tell us it can. They tell us sin can separate us from the love of God:

“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.” (Isaiah 59:1-2).

“Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favour and good success in the sight of God and man.” (Proverbs 3:3).

Note here that although God’s love is steadfast, nevertheless it can forsake us.

“My anger shall be aroused against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide My face from them, and they shall be devoured.” (Deuteronomy 31:17).

Here is the icing on the cake. God says:

“All their wickedness is in Gilgal, for there I hated them. Because of the evil of their deeds, I will drive them from My house; I will love them no more.” (Hosea 9:15).

“I will destroy your high places, cut down your incense altars, and cast your carcasses on the lifeless forms of your idols; and My soul shall abhor you.” (Leviticus 26:30).

The bible is full of these seeming contradictions that are not contradictions at all. They are kingdom dynamics. You see, before we can internalize the scripture that says nothing shall separate us from the love of God, we must first recognise that sin can separate us from the love of God.

    Ministry of reconciliation

Look at this for starters. Must we reconcile ourselves to God or will God reconcile Himself to us? The bible says both will happen, and that is seemingly contradictory. It says God in Christ reconciled Himself to sinners, and it says sinners must be reconciled to God.

“God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them.” (2 Corinthians 5:19).

“We implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20).

Now that is a contradiction. If Jesus reconciles Himself to the world, then we do not have to be reconciled to God. And if we must be reconciled to God, then God does not have to reconcile Himself to us.

But here is the solution to the contradiction. The wisdom of God says Jesus reconciles Himself to the world so that the world can then be reconciled to God.

Jesus teaches that His disciples must deny themselves. (Matthew 16:24). But Jesus never asks us to do what He does not do. (Acts 1:1). He denied Himself by reconciling the world to Himself. He relinquished His divinity and glory by coming down to our level as a man, associated with sinners and tax collectors, and agreed to die a shameful death on the cross for our salvation.

“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.” (Hebrews 12:2-3).

We are equally required to deny our humanity by becoming holy and divine. So doing, we reconcile ourselves to God. Jesus endured the hostility of sinners to show us the way of righteousness.

Similarly, there are disagreeable people that, as the redeemed, we must reconcile ourselves to, not because we agree with them, but because we want them to learn from us the righteousness of God.

    Assurance of salvation

Last week, I said God told me personally in unambiguous terms that nothing will separate me from His love. The question then is this: “Why did He do this?” How am I supposed to react to God’s assurance of His unfailing love?

Will it not make me complacent? Since I know that whatever happens, I will be saved, does that not mean I can live as I want, and sin as much as I want since my salvation is guaranteed?

    Certainly Not!

When I realised that my salvation is guaranteed, I dropped everything to serve God. When I realised my salvation is guaranteed, I became fanatical with God. When He rebukes me, I burst into tears and beg for forgiveness. The law of my conscience tells me: “Femi, don’t allow sin to separate you from the love of God.”

Thereby, the scripture is fulfilled in me: “We love Him because He first loved us.” (1 John 4:19).

    Responding to prophecy

In the 1990s, I owned a video shop called Videonet in Victoria Island, Lagos. For three years, it never made more than N7,000 a day. But then in 1996, God showed me in a dream that my shop would make N23,000 in one day. How did I react to this prophecy?

I did not relax, waiting for it to happen. I worked extra hard on the shop. I ploughed more investment capital into it. Then God said to me: “Because you believe me, I will tell you when my prophecy will come to pass. It will be fulfilled on 29th December 1996.”

But on that date, the income of Videonet, Victoria Island, was not the N23,000 that God predicted. It was N29,000. When I asked God about that contradiction, He said to me: “Femi, you exceeded the prophecy.”

I exceeded the prophecy because I was not complacent. I believed in the love of God, and in the word of God. However, I dare say, most Christians have yet to receive the love of God. They say they love God; they think they love God, but they do not love God.

But then they quote the scripture: “Nothing shall separate us from the love of God.” In that confidence, they continue in sin. But when we continue in sin, it means that scripture does not apply to us.

Monday, 14th Of February, 2022 will forever be memorable in the lives of gospel musician Dare Melody and two veteran journalists as Primate Elijah Ayodele, a foremost prophet and the Leader Of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church opened his book of remembrance concerning them by giving them exotic cars.

The man of God whose philanthropic gestures knows no bounds had mentioned it long before the event held that he will be giving out cars to celebrate his annual thanksgiving day but details were not immediately known as he wanted it to be a surprise gift to reward the services of the beneficiaries.

It would be recalled that he did the same last year during his annual thanksgiving by giving out cars to two prominent journalists who have done excellently well in their career.

During the presentation of the car gifts to journalists, Primate Ayodele described the beneficiaries as excellent professionals who have engaged in selfless services in their careers.

The man of God had always maintained that his gifts to journalists isn’t a way to hinder them from doing their jobs but to appreciate the fourth estate of the realm in Nigeria especially at a time when they are not duly rewarded by the system.

Also, Juju Maestro, King Sunny Ade was asked to present musician, Dare Melody his car gift courtesy of the man of God, Primate Elijah Ayodele.

Apart from the car gifts given to the musicians and journalists, several members and non-members of Primate’s church went home with smiles on their faces after benefiting from Primate Ayodele’s philanthropic largesse. About 1000 JAMB/WAEC/GCE forms, four tricycles, relief materials, accommodation fees, tuition fees, refrigerators, grinding machines, many others were given out to celebrate the prophet’s annual thanksgiving.

Furthermore, Primate Ayodele commissioned a self-sponsored road construction worth millions of naira in the community to celebrate his annual thanksgiving day.

God will expose evil around me— Davido reacts to prophecy

Nigerian pop star, Davido has reacted to a viral claim by a clergy that he would be poisoned and become handicapped in the process.

In the viral video, the Pastor said one of those close to the music star will carry out the act.

The minister added that although the ‘Jowo’ crooner will not die from the food poisoning, he would be admitted to the hospital and become unconscious for a while.

“I told you about one singer called Davido, abi? They will poison him. I don’t know him and I haven’t seen him in my life. But they will put something in his drink. He will be rushed to hospital, he will be admitted, he will be unconscious,” he had said in the video.

“I’ve been dealing with it in prayer but the lord said it will happen. And the person that will poison him is sleeping in his house. Somebody give the lord a clap offering.

“Did he die? I didn’t see him die? But he will lose something in his body that will handicap him.”

As expected the video has continued to elicit diverse reactions on social media, with many of his fans praying for his preservation.

Reacting to the prophecy on Twitter, Davido said God will expose and deal with any form of wickedness around him.

“God will expose and deal with any wickedness around me near or far. Amen… I’m blessed,” he wrote in the terse post on Tuesday.
