    The National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appealed to protesters under the aegis of #IStandWithNigeria to exercise more patience with the incumbent administration to achieve and consolidate on the dividends of democracy.

    The protest which was to be initially led by Nigerian popular hip-hop act, Innocent Idibia, aka ‘2baba’ before deciding to call it off amidst security concerns was convened at the National Theater from where protesters moved to other strategic parts parts of the state.

    The protesters were led to the former Lagos governor by Moremi Ojudu, daughter of President Buhari’s Special Political adviser, Senator Olufemi Ojodu.

    #IStandWithNigeria: [Photos]: Protesters besiege National Stadium

    Protesters have started moving in their hundreds to the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos venue of the #IStandWithNigeria protest.

    TheNewsGuru.com recalls that hip hop star, Innocent Idiabia (2baba) who had been spearheading the campaign had earlier backed out sighting security reasons.

  • Anti-Ambode protesters storm Tinubu’s house over demolition of buildings

     

    Following what they alleged as indiscriminate demolition of their houses by the officials of the Lagos State Government, Scores of residents of the Olokonla community in the Eti-Osa Local Government Area of the State on Thursday marched to the Ikoyi home of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to intervene.

    The protesters alleged that some men who claimed to be the officials of the Lagos State government allegedly demolished their buildings worth over N15billion.

    The protesters, led by Barrister Mr. Dotun Hassan, said their houses were demolished without a court order.

    We appeal to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a kind politician, to intervene and stop this demolition.

    We are not illegal occupiers. We have our genuine land documents,” he said.

    Tunde Rahman, Media Assistant to Tinubu, urged the protesters to maintain the peace.

    He promised to convey their petition to Tinubu and advised their leader to come to the Freedom House next Tuesday for feedback.
