Gigio Donnarumma is delighted to have completed his move to PSG.

The former AC Milan goalkeeper spoke to the local media last night after completing his Bosman switch.

Donnarumma admits the Champions League is an early goal he wishes to achieve with his new club: “The Champions League is a very important competition and one that is important to me to play. I’ve tried to play in it for years. I did not succeed, and I am impatient to discover it with Paris.”

On coach Mauricio Pochettino, the Euro 2020 winner added: “I was able to talk to the coach before coming here, we talked a bit, he was happy that I came. He’s a great coach and a great man, so I’m also very happy to be here with him.

“We want to do great things together. The best training is also that. I’m going to train with the best in the world, so I’m definitely going to improve. I am ready to train and play in contact with these great champions.”

Paris Saint-Germain said on Wednesday that they had completed the signing of Italy’s Euro 2020 goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma on a five-year deal.

The 22-year-old, who saved two penalties in the Euro final and was named player of the tournament, heads to France on a free transfer from AC Milan.

Donnarumma will be in competition with the experienced Keylor Navas for the goalkeeeper’s jersey.

“I am delighted to be part of this huge club,” said Donnarumma in a statment released by PSG.

“I feel ready to take on this new challenge and continue to grow here.

“With Paris, I want to win as much as possible and to bring joy to the supporters.”

During his six seasons with the Rossoneri, the Naples-born goalkeeper made 215 Serie A appearances along with 16 Europa League matches and 12 Italian Cup matches (including the 2016 and 2018 finals).

He is the third player to sign for PSG on a free transfer this summer following Spanish defender Sergio Ramos and Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum who were out of contract with Real Madrid and Liverpool respectively.

Ramos tells Mbappe: Reject Real Madrid and stay with PSG

Sergio Ramos has told Kylian Mbappe to reject Real Madrid and stay with him at PSG.

Mbappe is a dream target for Ramos’ former club, Real Madrid, but while he would recommend a spell at Los Blancos one day, he hopes Mbappe will be staying put for now.

“I wouldn’t dare say what someone should do, with my experience I could give him some advice in private,” said Ramos to the Spanish media via video press conference.

“I would like him to stay at PSG because I like to play with the best.

“When you make the decision to stay or go, it’s very personal.”

Perhaps if Ramos had renewed with Real Madrid he might be thinking something different, but now he is certainly hoping Mbappe stays in Paris a while longer, while he feels he may be able to help him develop further.

“I don’t know what Kylian has in mind, but he can make the difference,” continued Ramos.

“He’s very young, there’s a very good team here and it needs great players.

“I can bring my winning spirit and if I can pass that on to the team it will have been a success.”

PSG officially announce Sergio Ramos signing

Paris St-Germain have signed Sergio Ramos on a two-year deal following the defender’s departure from Real Madrid.

Ramos, 35, left Madrid after 16 years when his contract expired at the end of June.

Spain’s most-capped player won five La Liga titles and four Champions League medals with Real.

“I am very happy to join Paris St-Germain,” Ramos said. “This is a big change in my life, a new challenge and it’s a day I will never forget.”

PSG chairman and chief executive Nasser Al-Khelaifi said: “Paris welcomes one of the greatest players of our era.”

Ramos is PSG’s third signing of the summer, after the arrival of Morocco defender Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan and Georginio Wijnaldum.

The Dutch midfielder also joined on a free transfer after leaving Liverpool.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who missed out on last season’s Ligue 1 title to Lille, have also been linked with a move for Italy international goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who is a free agent after leaving AC Milan.

Ramos, who was left out of Spain’s Euro 2020 squad, will link up with former Madrid team-mates Angel di Maria and Keylor Navas.

PSG mistakenly announce Sergio Ramos signing

Paris Saint-Germain appear to have accidentally confirmed the signing of Sergio Ramos after his departure from Real Madrid.

Ramos was seen at Parc des Princes on Wednesday and is expected to officially be announced as a new PSG player on Thursday.

But PSG appear to have jumped the gun by posting an article on their official website on Wednesday which confirmed Ramos would be wearing the No.4 in Paris. The article was quickly deleted.

“This number four, I appreciate it a lot out of superstition, because I had it from the start of my career, and then it accompanied me throughout my life, continued [with] me, brought good luck, and a lot of victories,” Ramos said in the article.

“Now number four is part of me as a person and as a professional. For me, it’s a privilege to be able to wear this number in such a great team, Paris Saint-Germain. So it will be very special to be able to wear my number here in Paris.”

Sergio Ramos set for PSG medical

Former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is ready to sign a contract with PSG.

Marca says Ramos will put pen to paper on a two-year deal to move to the Parc des Princes and reinforce an already strong PSG side.

Ramos could even land in Paris at some time on Tuesday to undergo his medical and, if all goes well, he will be confirmed by the club on Wednesday.

The Spaniard’s arrival is further evidence of PSG continuing their plan to become Europe’s most feared team, and Achraf Hakimi’s signing could be confirmed by the club as early as Tuesday and ahead of Ramos’.

While PSG can’t stop making big moves, Real Madrid’s priority is rather the opposite. While awaiting updates on the Kylian Mbappe situation, the players have already started working under Carlo Ancelotti.

Nicolas Anelka writes open letter to Mbappe

Former Real Madrid striker Nicolas Anelka says PSG ace Kylian Mbappe should join the Spanish giants.

Anelka sent a message to Mbappe via the Athletic:

“Dear Kylian, goals are the best medicine for a penalty wound….and if you want bigger prizes, leave PSG. You have two options, stay in Paris or go to Real Madrid. Both can win the Champions at this point.

“The choice depends on what you want to achieve in football. If you want the highest praise, you’ll have to leave PSG at some point. Whatever you do in Paris, you’ll be fine, but there will always be someone who says ‘you did great at PSG, but only in France, the best are in England or Spain’.

“You must decide. If you want to win the Ballon d’Or, which is what you should be looking for after Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi, you will have to compete to be the best.

“The French league is not easy, don’t take it wrong, but I think the toughest is the English league. If you want to be one of the biggest, do what you do in Paris at Chelsea, United, Arsenal, City or Liverpool. Or look at Spain, at Real Madrid or Barcelona. Or maybe Italy. So we can talk about global impact.”

Premier League club Arsenal have made an ambitious move for former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.

While brother and agent Rene Ramos was in Paris on Thursday to finalise terms with PSG, there has been a hold up over an agreement.

Ramos is seeking a straight two-year deal, while PSG have tabled a one-year offer with the option for another 12 months. As such, negotiations have stalled.

Goal says Chelsea and Arsenal have since stepped in over the last 24 hours, with the Gunners making a firm move.

Contact from Arsenal has been made directly to Ramos to sound him out about a potential switch to London.

Ligue 1: Kylian Mbappe informs PSG he wants to leave

France international Kylian Mbappe has told PSG management he wants to leave this summer.

That’s according to RMC pundit Daniel Riolo.

Riolo declared this morning: “I know that Mbappé has asked to leave, but it is complicated because first you have to find a club that has the money to pay him, but the novelty is that he really does not want to stay.

“If he doesn’t leave this summer, he’ll be free next season. And that’s why Doha doesn’t want to hear him speak.

“If Mbappé expresses that desire to leave, it means that he has to look for a club and then PSG has to move to find him a replacement. But yes, the news is that Mbappé does not want to stay at PSG.”

Real Madrid are favourites to sign Mbappe, with his PSG contract about to enter it’s final 12 months.

Ramos officially left Real Madrid last week after spending 16 years at Santiago Bernabeu.

The 35-year-old won 22 trophies during his time at Real Madrid.

Ramos, who joined Real Madrid in 2005 in a €27 million move from Sevilla, has attracted interest from a host of top European clubs including Manchester United, Manchester City, PSG and Juventus.

The Spain international admitted during his emotional farewell ceremony last Thursday that he wanted to remain at Real Madrid.

According to Spanish radio station Cadena Cope, Ramos has told three of his former Real Madrid teammates that he is heading to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

The report added that Ramos has accepted an offer from the French Ligue 1 giants, turning down proposals from other clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester United.
