    I want to write new sporting history in Saudi – Neymar

    Former Paris Saint-Germain star, Neymar Jr has revealed why he left the Ligue 1 champions to join Saudi Arabian club.

    The Brazilian stated that he wants to write new sporting history.

    He noted that rather than money, his move to the Middle East was motivated by his desire to ‘be a global player’.

    Neymar, 31, has joined Al Hilal, who signed him for £80 million.

    Sky Sports reports that the Brazilian will be earning £129.4 million per year.

    He signed a two-year deal with the Pro League side.

    Neymar has been widely accused of leaving Europe because of the eye-watering cash he has been offered in Saudi.

    But speaking to the press for the first time after he completed his move, Neymar said, “I have achieved a lot in Europe and enjoyed special times, but I have always wanted to be a global player and test myself with new challenges and opportunities in new places.

    “I want to write new sporting history, and the Saudi Pro League has tremendous energy and quality players at the moment.”

    Al Hilal Saudi Club, simply known as Al Hilal has confirmed signing Neymar from Paris Saint Germain (PSG).

    TheNewsGuru.com reports Al Hilal is a professional football club based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

    “The wonderful talent… that attracts everyone’s attention,” a translated post by Al Hilal on X reads.

    Neymar Jr joined Al Hilal on a $300m package record salary in two years, with no option to extend.

    Salary could go up to a potential $400m total until 2025 based on add-ons and commercial deals.

    TNG reports the deal was sealed by his father, Neymar Pai and super agent, Pini Zahavi.

    Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward,  Kylian Mbappe has agreed to sign a new contract, Foot Mercato.

    Recall that Mbappe was reinstated into the first-team squad of PSG over the weekend.

    The French striker was initially banished to PSG reserve team after back-and-forth arguments on signing a new contract with the French champions.

    In a meeting on Sunday, club president Nasser Al Khelaifi reportedly told the players that “Kylian is invested in the club” and is now at the disposal of manager Luis Enrique.

    However, reports show that Mbappe has now entered into talks over a contract renewal with PSG.

    Mbappe could be signing a one-year contract extension, meaning Mbappe would be tied down until 2025 with Les Parisiens.

    Both parties may also reach a private agreement on a departure clause. The free-scoring forward would leave the French capital next summer, presumably for Real Madrid, while handing PSG a hefty transfer fee.

    Former Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano is eager to see the arrival of PSG star Kylian Mbappe.

    Inside the final year of his PSG deal, Mbappe has been banished to train with the B squad this week as he refuses to trigger the 12-month option in his contract.

    Valdano is keen to see Real Madrid rescue the striker from Paris this month.

    Speaking from Luque, Paraguay, Valdano told Efe: “If people are still angry with him, don’t worry, I’ll pick him up at the airport.

    “At the moment it is not a case. It is, for now, a non-case. I hope it becomes a case…”

    Reports say Neymar could be heading back to his former side Barcelona for next season’s campaign.

    Neymar’s dream might be difficult to realize, as Barca are dealing with financial problems at the moment.

     

    At 31, Neymar might not be a key player for new head coach Luis Enrique as he builds a new side.

    PSG have been open to selling him in order to focus on building a younger, hungrier team.

    Earlier in the summer, Lionel Messi, who he also played with at Barcelona, left PSG for Inter Miami.

    PSG could be in danger of losing all three forwards as Mbappe is also battling to exit the club.

    French striker Kylian Mbappe will be training with Paris Saint-Germain’s ‘B’ squad in the coming week.

    The 24-year-old is refusing to sign a new contract with PSG, with his present deal running out in a year.

    The owners of PSG, the Qatari royal family, want Mbappe to either renew or move to a club that puts in an acceptable bid for his signature.

    Per The Mail, Mbappe will be training with the reserves as part of his punishment.

    The Qataris are hopeful that Mbappe will blink if he realizes he may spend the entire season on the sidelines.

    PSG want a fee of at least £250 million, even though they are set to lose Mbappe for nothing in a year’s time.

    While he can be found in the archives, Sport is reporting the star striker has been wiped from the home page.

    Kang-In Lee, Marco Verratti, Neymar, Marquinhos and Lucas Hernandez all feature on the home tab, but not Mbappe.

    PSG have transfer-listed Mbappe with his contract inside it’s final 12 months.

    Real Madrid are favourites to sign the striker, who has taken no part in preseason match action this summer.

    Paris Saint-Germain have threatened to report Real Madrid to FIFA over what they deem a potential illegal tapping up of Kylian Mbappe, reports UK Telegraph.

    Mbappe is unwilling to extend his contract with PSG  beyond 2024 when his current contract expires.

    The extension clause that exists in the 24-year-old’s current contract expired on July 31.

    As things stand, Mbappe will become a free agent in the summer of 2024.

    There have been suggestions that Madrid already have an agreement in place with Mbappe, which will see the player pocket a €160million signing on fee if he joins the LaLiga giants.

    Such agreements are banned by FIFA as they require a player to have been approached without the blessing of his current employers being sought first

    Meanwhile, Mbappe has been excluded in PSG pre-season activities and may be suspended from the team.

    The Monday deadline given to France striker, Kyllian Mbappe by  Paris Saint Germain  to sign a new contract or move to another club   has elapsed,

    The deadline expiration means that Mbappe’s  current contrat at PSG will run till next season at the club.

    Mbappe is refusing to back down in his stance and could now leave as a free agent next year.

    However, PSG want to sell Mbappe for some money this summer.

    This was confirmed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on Monday night.

    Romano tweeted: “No late twists in Kylian Mbappé saga — deadline of July 31 is over and Mbappé can’t activate the option to extend his PSG contract until June 2025.

    “The contract officially expires in June 2024 now.

    “PSG keep thinking he agreed with Real Madrid — but Kylian remains for sale.”
