Football Transfer: Arsenal eyes Kyllian Mbappe

France forward and Paris Saint Germain attacker, Kylian Mbappe, Arsenal is being sought after by Arsenal football club.

Mbappe’s current contract with PSG will expire next summer in 2024.

The France captain is admired by Arsenal, who are considering whether or not to send an offer to the player’s representatives.

However, PSG may have to sell the 24-year-old this summer transfer window or risk losing him on a free transfer next summer.

Mbappe has made it clear overtime that he would love to play for Liverpool football club but his price tag has forced the Reds to stay away.

However, Real Madrid have indicated interest to sign the forward but no concrete arrangement has been made for him .

‘Being an agent is not Mbappe’s mother’s job’

The mother and agent of Kylian Mbappe has been slammed over her management of the PSG star Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe is set to be sold this summer after refusing to trigger the 12-month option in his deal. The striker’s contract now has a year to run and his stand has infuriated PSG’s owners, the Qatari Royal Family.

Real Madrid and Liverpool have been mentioned as suitors in Spain, with PSG wanting €200m to sell Mbappe.

And agent Yvan La Mee insists the situation could’ve been handled far better by mother and agent Fayza Lamari.

He told RMC: “Being an agent is not Mbappe’s mother’s job. She does not have the ability to act. There is a reality, you have to do what you know how to do. I wanted to make a restaurant but I don’t know how to cook, because I don’t have to,” he began.

“There is the ‘I take care of my son’ and there is the ‘I offer my services to 20, 30, 100 players’. As an agent, we are people to do operations. I am convinced that if Kylian Mbappe had had an agent at the time of the negotiations with Real Madrid two years ago, he would already be there.

“When you don’t have the habits and customs, when you talk to a coach from a historic club like someone you’ve known for a long time, it might not work.

“I don’t know how to handle the situation to get there. He is still in Paris and obviously he doesn’t seem happy to be there.”

Ligue 1: Extend your contract or leave – PSG tells Mbappe

Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have demanded a quick response from Kyllian Mbappe over his future with the club side.

PSG have made it clear that they do not want to lose the player as a free agent come next season.

According to Le Parisien, the Ligue 1 champions have informed the 24-year-old’s mother and agent, Fayza Lamari, that the player must make a decision to extend his contract or leave this summer.

Mbappe’s future at the Parc des Princes remains uncertain after he made it clear he would not extend his deal.

While the decision is down to Mbappe, PSG Nasser Al Khelaifi has informed Lamari of the situation.

“I didn’t think a letter would kill someone or offend anyone. We can’t control people’s reactions, but I don’t care,” Mbappe said before France played Gibraltar.

“Staying at PSG is my only option for now.”

There are indications the forward could be joining Real Madrid, however, the player has also made it known he likes to play in Liverpool.

  • We’ve reserved the number 9 jersey for Mbappe – Real Madrid

We’ve reserved the number 9 jersey for Mbappe – Real Madrid

Real Madrid have created an impression that Kyllian Mbappe will wear the vacant number 9 jersey previously worn by outgone forward Kareem Benzema.

The number 9 position has been vacant since French forward Mbappe signed for Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Arabian league.

Although, Benzema has put pen to paper for Al-Ittihad, his contract at Real Madrid runs till June 1st, 2023.

Mbappe has been heavily linked with the Spanish giants for some time, with at least two offers knocked down in the past.

Another big-money approach could be on the cards this summer, with Real willing to pay up to €200 million.

Mbappe is eager to make a move to Spain after informing PSG that he won’t trigger an extension option in his current contract.

His current terms are due to expire in 2024, meaning that the Ligue 1 champions are under pressure to sell while they can still make money.

However, talks are still ongoing between Real Madrid and PSG  for Mbappe but the French side is still hope the French forward would stay longer in Paris.

  • PSG set to replace Mbappe with Osimhen, table N134 billion bid for him

PSG set to replace Mbappe with Osimhen, table N134 billion bid for him

Paris Saint Germain are set to release a whopping €150m (about N133,935,598,125.00 billion) to acquire the services of Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen.

PSG are not sure of retaining French forward, Kyllian Mbappe who is set to leave this summer and the Parisians are trying to replace him with Osimhen.

However, Napoli already making move to meet Victor Osimhen’s agent to discuss a new contract, but PSG are trying to lure the attacker from the club this summer.

The center-forward was already signed from LOSC for over €70m and has gone from strength to strength at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

President Aurelio De Laurentiis has given mixed messages, assuring Osimhen reached a verbal agreement to extend his contract to June 2027, but at the same time warning if an offer they can’t refuse comes in, then it must be considered.

According to Sportitalia transfer pundit Alfredo Pedulla, that bid could well come in from Paris Saint-Germain, and including performance-related bonuses it would hit the magic €150m figure.

This would blow even Premier League competition out of the water, with Manchester United and Chelsea seemingly not too sure about going beyond €100m.

Considering the Nigeria international is only 24 years old and was Capocannoniere this season with 26 goals in 32 Serie A appearances, plus five in six Champions League matches, that simply would not be enough to make Napoli wobble.

Regardless, first Napoli will meet with Osimhen’s agent to discuss the situation.

Should the striker be sold, they have already identified Jonathan David of LOSC as his replacement.
