Pastor Adeboye drops bombshell on sponsors of terrorists in Nigeria

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has declared sponsors of terrorists in Nigeria will not cross the year 2020 into 2021.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Pastor Adeboye, fondly referred to as Daddy GO, made the declaration on Sunday as the church marked the October edition of its monthly thanksgiving service held at the Throne of Grace Church in Lagos State.

“I’m standing on this altar today, to decree in the Name that is above every other name, any terrorist and any sponsor of terrorists in Nigeria, will not see the new year,” Pastor Adeboye said while ministering during the thanksgiving service.

During the ministration, the cleric prayed for unity in the country and for a better tomorrow for the citizens. He prayed that all terrorists and their sponsors will not see the new year.

Adeboye also assured Nigerians that the Almighty God will arise against those pretending to be friends with Nigeria but planning to enslave the country.

He prayed: “Where they say there is no way, God will arise and make a way for Nigeria and everyone. Any form of stagnation in Nigeria will come to an end and every terrorists and their sponsors will not see the new year in Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Claiming that God has given the country victory over the Coronavirus pandemic, Adeboye enjoined everyone to always give praise to God at all times.

He said: “We thank God for the victory over Coronavirus and we pray that the victory will be total and permanent.

“We also pray that God will help us to be united and let our tomorrow be alright.”

Adeboye who took his reading from the book of Psalms 68, verses 1 to 4, prayed that “God will fight for us, arise and make a way where there is no way”.

Earlier, the RCCG GO had counseled the Federal Government to give Nigeria a lasting answer to secession agitations and its economic challenges by restructuring the country.

According to Adeboye, the reformation of Nigeria must be done “as soon as possible” to forestall a breakup of the various social-ethnic components that make up the country.

The anointed cleric stated this on Saturday at a 60th Independence Day Celebration Symposium co-organized by the church and the Nehemiah Leadership Institute.

At the symposium with the theme, ‘Where will Nigeria be in 2060?’ Adeboye offered the adoption of a merger of the British style of government and the American system of government to pave the way for Nigeria’s future.

The ex-lecturer at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Lagos said, “Why can’t we have a system of government that is 100 per cent Nigerian, unique to us? For example, we started on with the British system of government, somewhere along the line, we moved over to the American system of government.

“Can’t we have a combination of both and see whether it could help us solve our problems because in Mathematics if you want to solve a problem, you try what we call Real Analysis, then if it doesn’t work, then you move on to Complex Analysis and see whether that will help you. If that fails, you move on to Vector Analysis and so on.

“I believe that we might want to look at the problems of Nigeria in a slightly different manner. Some people feel that all our problems will be over if Nigeria should break up. I think that is trying to solve the problems of Nigeria as if it is a Simple Equation. The problems of Nigeria will require quite a bit of Simultaneous Equation and some of them are not going to be Linear either – forgive me I am talking as a Mathematician.

“Why can’t we have a system of government that will create what I will call the United States of Nigeria? Let me explain. We all know that we must restructure. It is we restructure or we break, you don’t have to be a prophet to know that one. That is certain – restructure or we break up.

“Now, we don’t want to break up, God forbid. In restructuring, why don’t we have a Nigerian kind of democracy? At the federal level, why don’t we have a President and a Prime Minister?

“If we have a President and a Prime Minister and we share responsibilities between these two so that one is not an appendage to the other. For examples, if the President controls the Army and the Prime Minister controls the Police. If the President controls resources likes oil and mining and the Prime Minister controls finance and inland revenue, taxes, customs etc. You just divide responsibilities between the two.

“At the state level, you have the governor and the premier, and the same way, you distribute responsibilities between these people in such a manner that one cannot really go without the other. Maybe we might begin to tackle the problems.”

  • Why I don’t reply those criticising me for planting many churches – Adeboye

Why I don’t reply those criticising me for planting many churches – Adeboye

General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has revealed reason he does not say a word when people criticise him for planting too many churches.

Adeboye, in a sermon said opening many churches would give opportunities to people who were sitting idle in big churches to become pastors and do great things for God.

“I thank God for RCCG, l don’t say a word when people criticise us for planting so many churches because in the process of planting so many churches, people who may have been in one big church doing nothing but listening to sermons (paying offerings), become pastors themselves because they became enabled by God to cast out devils or heal the sick.

“Many of them would not have discovered their purpose in life. I am praying for those who will be promoted today, that they will remember to help others fulfill their destinies,” he said,

The man of God, who spoke on “The Wonders of Divine Promotion,”

He said whenever God promoted people, He did so for them to be blessings to others, citing the examples of Moses, David and Joseph who impacted in people’s lives after God promoted them.

“I am praying for those of you who will be promoted today as a result of this sermon, that from now on, when you decree that a curse is broken, it shall be broken. I am praying that when God will promote you today, all the needs of those who will come to you for prayers will be met in Jesus name.

“If God promotes you, you can decree the future of your nation. As the Lord lives, a day is coming when you will travel as a Nigerian and people see your passport, they will all want to touch you because they will realise that the headquarters of the Almighty God is Nigeria.

“If you don’t believe my prophecy, it is no problem, just keep your belief to yourself. Sooner or later, the Earth shall be filled with the glory of the Almighty God,” he stated.

RCCG commences probe of its pastor over alleged sexual abuse of basketball player

The Redeemed Christian Church of God says it is investigating an allegation by Beatrice Wealth, a former basketball player, who claimed she was sexually abused by the church’s Director of Sport, Pastor Paul Bankole, in his office in 2016.

Wealth, who represented the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos in basketball competitions, made the allegation on Twitter on Sunday.

“Our attention has been drawn to your (Wealth’s) tweet on sexual harassment by Pastor Paul Bankole during your visit to his office at the Redemption Camp,” Funso Odesola, an Assistant General Overseer in RCCG, stated in a reply to Wealth’s allegations on Twitter.

“We would like to have a physical meeting with you at your earliest convenience in order to further investigate these allegations to forestall a reoccurrence.

“Please accept our utmost apology for whatever you might have passed through as a result of this act.”

Reacting to the allegation, Olaitan Olubiyi, Public Relations Officer, said “I really don’t know, we just saw this (Wealth’s allegation) on social media (on Sunday) and if the church decides to take some steps towards confirming the situation, that’s just it.”

Wealth alleged that she was sexually assaulted by Bankole in his office in 2016 when she was 20, adding that the incident stopped her from competing for a place in the RCCG basketball team at the time.

“I was 20 at that time and was introduced to the RCCG Director of Sport (Bankole) by a friend who was at the time recruiting for a new basketball team,” Wealth said.

“He (Bankole) invited me to the Redemption Camp to see the basketball court there. That was my first time and I was excited at what I saw. I even made a video about my experience there. After my first training, he told me I would be attending training once a week.

“My next session, he came to pick me up at the Redemption Camp’s gate and he drove me to his office, saying he had some things to do there before training.

“While I was there, I took a book from his shelf to read because I was bored. Afterwards, he asked to see the gallery on my phone, which I obliged. He saw a picture of a quote about love and he said ‘send me this’, which I did via WhatsApp.”

Wealth added, “He then made a remark on my lips via WhatsApp, but I took it as a compliment. Then he asked me to sit on his laps but I refused and he replied ‘don’t you want to make me happy?’

“He then dragged me by the waist while trying to touch me inappropriately, and he forced a kiss on me but my lips were closed.

“I told him to stop, that I didn’t want to and after trying several times, he stopped. When he saw I didn’t react, he left me and said he wanted to cool off.

“At that point, I was confused because it was the first time I was experiencing such. We went for training afterwards but I was raging at the incident that happened in his office. I was not focused throughout the session we had.

“After training, he gave me N500 for transport home after he dropped me at the Redemption Camp’s gate.

“I didn’t tell anyone when I got home but my belief in God at that point became really shaky as I wondered why a supposed man of God would do that. He was married and probably in his sixties with grey hair.”

Meanwhile, the Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has praised Wealth’s courage for speaking out.

“I commend you for the courage to talk about your experience and I believe your story. I hope he has the conscience to repent, apologise and not try that ever again with other females,” she tweeted.

Check your salvation if you are still afraid of death at 70 – Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye has said that people who were above 70 years needed to check their salvation if they were still afraid of death.

Adeboye said this at the first Sunday Thanksgiving of the RCCG new year calender, held at the headquarters in Lagos on Sunday.

“Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, old people were advised to stay at home and not come to church which is a good advice.

“But if you are over 70 years of age and you are still afraid of death, then you should check your salvation,” he said.

Adeboye, however, declared that no one would die, adding that everyone would live to declare the word of God.

He added that the Almighty God would turn down coronavirus, adding that no virus would come near the children of God.

“God will give us total victory on any virus. The Lord who has kept us to see September will keep us to see the new year,” he prayed.

In his sermon, Adeboye told the congregation to always praise the Lord because He had done a lot for the country and everyone in particular.

“When we remember some people we grew up with are dead, some are in prison, sick, and we are still alive, then we should have reasons to praise the Lord.

“When we know we have the Almighty God, the conqueror of any virus by our side, then we have every reason to thank God,” he said.

He added that the Almighty God would never the people.

“Everyone should continue to praise God for life,” he said.

He urged those that had not given their lives to Christ to do so for them to get God’s blessings.

Pastor Adeboye: ‘Online service not an excuse to avoid physical service’

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called on all members of the church to begin attending service on Sunday following the decision of the Lagos and Ogun state governments to lift the restriction on worship centres.

Adeboye said although some services will continue to hold online, congregants must be physically present in church as it attracts more blessings.

The cleric said this in a video message on Tuesday titled, ‘From Lockdown to Leaping Up’.

He said people should not be deceived into thinking that attending service at home had become a permanent thing.

Adeboye said, “I want to encourage you that all the churches go back for fellowship and begin to enjoy the benefits of corporate prayers again. You know, the Almighty God in Hebrews Chapter 10 verse 25 that we should not forsake the assembly of one another.

“There are those who will talk to you and say ‘why don’t you continue to stay at home? After all, you can pray at home and God will hear you’. Yes, I agree. Anywhere you cry unto Him, He will answer. But He says specifically in Matthew Chapter 21 Verse 13 that His house is called the House of Prayers.

“In other words, He himself designated the House of God as a place where you will pray and the answer will come fast. That is the reason why you find David saying in Psalm 122 Verse 1 that I was glad when they said unto me, let us go to the house of the Lord because He knows that when you go to the house of the Lord, you will be in his presence where there is fullness of joy.”

The cleric said since some countries had yet to lift lockdowns, the online service would continue but would hold at 2pm.

“By the Grace of God, from 2pm every Sunday for the next few weeks, we will still be ministering to our people all over the world who might be on lockdown. That should not be used as an excuse for not going to church. The bible says if you know these things, blessed are you if you do them,” Adeboye added.

He advised congregants to observe all protocols relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Adeboye asked them to come wearing masks while they would be given hand sanitisers before entering the church.

The RCCG general overseer also announced that the Holy Ghost Service which holds every first Friday of the month would commence in September.

“I also want to add that because the lockdown has been lifted, the Holy Ghost Service of September will be taking place. God bless you,” he said.

  • Man borrows money to sponsor RCCG convention all by himself

Man borrows money to sponsor RCCG convention all by himself

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has revealed how a man borrowed money from an undisclosed bank to sponsor all by himself the church’s annual convention that usually holds in August.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Pastor Adeboye, who made the disclosure on Sunday, did not reveal the identity of the man but said the person eventually went on to become the chairman of the bank from which he took the loan.

“I told you before, one of my sons came to me and said daddy, please pray for me that God will prosper me. I want to be one of the three people who will sponsor the convention. I said fine, are you sure that is why you… he said yes. Okay, we prayed.

“The following week he came back. Daddy, I said God should prosper me so I can sponsor the convention, my place of work, they sacked me. I laughed. Are you going to sponsor the convention on that little salary of yours? He heard your prayer so He had to shut one door and open another. A few months later, he brought enough money to take care of at least one-third of the expenses of the convention.

“Another fellow heard the testimony and came to me… daddy I want to be the one who will single-handedly sponsor the convention of this year. He said how much, I said how would I know. I don’t know how many people will come. But I can tell you how much we spent last year. So I told him.

“I thought he would run away and not come back. He came back the following week with a banker’s draft. Later on, I was to learn he borrowed the money. But you know what? It wasn’t long after that the very bank he borrowed the money from, he became the chairman,” Adeboye said.

Adeboye, fondly referred to as Daddy GO, who was speaking on “the shortest way to the greatest height” in continuation of his message titled “from lockdown to leaping up part 7”, narrated how the Holy Ghost service of the RCCG started.

“I’ve told you before the story of the origin of the Holy Ghost service. My birthday was approaching, I was in London, preparing the Sunday school pamphlet for the Redeemed Christian Church of God when God said to me son what do you want for your birthday.

“And I said because I’m not sure I wasn’t aware that God could be interested in the birthday of anybody talk less of me. Daddy is that you? If it’s you, repeat the question, He repeated the question and I said well if it is that you are asking me, for all I want, is that every member of my congregation will get a miracle.

“I was seeking His kingdom. I want to do the work He has given me. I want to do it creditably. That is why the Holy Ghost service has been on since 1986 and it is waxing stronger day by day. That is why anywhere in the world where I go and I say we want to hold the Holy Ghost service we don’t have to beg people to come,” he said.

Pastor Adeboye addresses those angry with his teachings

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has distinguished between his ‘children’ and ‘outsiders’, saying those who are not okay with his message should not be angry with his preaching.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Pastor Adeboye stated this in his sermon on Sunday, following the backlash that trailed his birthday message for his wife, Folu, which tends to the submission of women in marriage, a topic that has been a source of controversy for so many.

While saying out of the lockdown, mighty breakthroughs will come into the lives of God’s children, in continuation of his ‘From Lockdown to Leaping Up’ teaching series, the RCCG GO said, “As a matter of fact, if there is a way of preaching this sermon just to my own children alone, that is what I would have done.

“Not because I am selfish, but occasionally there are things you say to your children that will annoy outsiders. But I keep on saying, but I am not talking to you; I am talking to my children. But now lockdown has made the door open to everybody”.

Fondly referred to as Daddy GO, Pastor Adeboye in his sermon, stated that it is far better to remain ordinary than to become an ex-success, stressing that one of the most dangerous things that can happen to a man is to be successful before his time.

“Before you begin to leap up and plan for mighty things that will happen after the lockdown, please think. The taller the tower is going to be, the deeper must be the foundation.

“You entered this lockdown with nothing, by this time next year, as my Lord lives, you won’t be able to recognize yourself. Before you take off, you must consider landing because it is important to have a very good ending.

“Do you know that if you make God your partner, He will show you business ideas that will baffle the world? Out of the lockdown, mighty breakthroughs will come into the lives of God’s children in Jesus name,” Pastor Adeboye said.

Pastor Adeboye reveals 3 things to do for God to lift you above expectations

The General Overseer (G.O.) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye on Sunday urged Nigerians to enlarge their visions for greatness, adding that ‘God is able to do all things.’

Adeboye during his online sermon said that the almighty God can make anyone become great only if one is diligent, holy and faithful to Him.

He said, “There are three things you have to do before God can lift you above your expectations.

“You must have faith in Him, which means you have to believe God can do whatever you ask for and beyond.

“God will require from you diligence. God won’t take you higher if you are lazy. How high you want to go depends on how much work you put in.

“Holiness is another way if you want God to take you higher; you cannot continue to enjoy in sin and expect God to take you higher,” he said.

The sermon was titled: ‘From Lockdown to Leaping Up’ Part 5.

Adeboye said the if the Lord could lift a beggar up till he dined with Kings,( I Samuel 2, verse 7 to 8) he can still do the same for anybody.

He prayed that God should let the coronavirus pandemic be a matter of the past, stressing that people should try to be holy.

He added that holiness was very important to be practised by anyone who wanted the Lord to take him or her to the next level.
