“Certain things happened, at least in my nation Nigeria, that force you to wonder: Are we under a curse? There are nations that didn’t have all the resources we have, and yet, they seem to be doing better than we are doing. Hmmmm, let me leave that out.”

Adeboye further called  on Nigerians to pray for divine intervention against efforts by powerful cabals who are allegedly working to block the success of private refineries in Nigeria.

Adeboye shares shocking reason why one of his top pastors was arrested

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has recounted how one of his pastors who was posted abroad was arrested for addressing a gathering with the phrase “ladies and gentlemen.”

The clergyman narrated the incident while speaking on the topic “My Father’s House” during the church’s monthly thanksgiving program at the Throne of Grace, the RCCG national headquarters in Ebute-Metta, Lagos.

According to Adeboye who expressed concern over the fast decline in moral values globally, noted that the pastor was arrested for discriminating against those that neither identify as male or female.

He said, “The end is nearer than you think.

“Things are getting worse, and this is a wake-up call. One of my pastors abroad was arrested, and his offence was simply addressing a gathering as ‘ladies and gentlemen.’ Some people reported him for discrimination, asking, ‘What about those who are neither ladies nor gentlemen?’”

Pastor Adeboye also recounted another troubling anecdote about a woman who referred to her dog as her husband during a discussion.

She was asked about her husband, and she replied, ‘I took him to the vet before coming. He doesn’t talk.’ When asked who her husband was, she described a very handsome dog. Brethren, we are closer to the end than ever before,” he said.

He admonished Christians to take their faith seriously, urging them not to be swayed by the world’s moral decline.

Those of you already in Christ, take this matter seriously. Do not let anyone weaken your stand. God is holy. Those still playing church—singing, clapping, and enjoying things without genuine commitment—remember, Jesus is coming back. The devil wants to harvest you, but you must not give him the opportunity. I want to see you in my Father’s house,” he emphasized.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) earlier reported that the church suspended two of its church leaders, Ayorinde Adebello and Deacon Oke Mayowa, on Tuesday in a memo dated October 28, 2024.

The memo, signed by Sunday Akande, RCCG’s national overseer, ordered a thorough investigation into the allegations and temporarily relieved the accused individuals of their responsibilities within the church.

Adebello’s suspension comes after the controversial blogger, in a series of posts on Instagram, claimed that the pastor had engaged in sexual relationships with teenage boys and men, allegedly offering them opportunities in exchange for sexual favours.

Reacting, AdeBello via his Instagram page, denied the accusations, stating, “I never engaged in sodomy with male teenagers”.

He stressed that his previous silence was misconstrued as an “admission of guilt,” prompting him to issue a response.

The family of the pastor, in a recent development, have petitioned the assistant inspector general of police at Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) arguing that the accusations against their son are unfounded and lack credible evidence.

The family further claimed that the false allegations had caused significant emotional distress and jeopardized the pastor’s safety.

They begged law enforcement authorities to conduct a fair investigation and expressed their willingness to cooperate fully.

The petition reads in part, “We believe these are fabricated stories and are not substantiated with credible evidence.

“The only “evidence” the blogger presented was an excerpt from a male teenagers WhatsApp group created to discuss different topics which were deliberately isolated and taken out of context, to achieve their evil intentions.

“These unfounded allegations have caused our Clients emotional trauma and has put their security at risk from attacks by these faceless individuals.

“We believe your office is poised to conduct a thorough and analytical investigation to expose the culprits without any recourse to sentiments or hearsay.

“We unequivocally reaffirm that Ayorinde AdeBello is innocent of these spurious allegations.

“Please accept the assurances of our Clients’ cooperation to aid the investigation whilst we seek your prompt response to our Petition.”

Suspended RCCG pastor breaks silence on sleeping with church men, male teenagers

Ayorinde AdeBello, one of the pastors, recently suspended by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) over allegations of homosexuality has vehemently denied any involvement in the act.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) earlier reports that Ayorinde Adebello alongside one other was suspended as announced in an RCCG memo dated October 28, 2024.

The memo, signed by Sunday Akande, RCCG’s national overseer, ordered a thorough investigation into the allegations and temporarily relieved the accused individuals of their responsibilities within the church.

Reacting, AdeBello via his Instagram page in a statement on Tuesday denied the allegations, stating, “I never engaged in sodomy with male teenagers”.

According to AdeBello, his prolonged silence was misconstrued as an “admission of guilt”, prompting his response.

He further clarified that a viral WhatsApp screenshot was misquoted and taken out of context, adding that the conversation was actually about male reproductive health and self-esteem within a teenagers’ WhatsApp group.

The statement reads, “In the past few days, some allegations were made against me and some others via a blog on social media known as Gist Lover.

“I had wanted to respond immediately it was brought to my attention, but I was advised not to, as I was not the only one named, and all of us may have been mentioned to drive engagement on the blog.

“However, as these allegations have escalated to criminal claims, I am compelled to respond as my prolonged silence has been misconstrued as an admission of guilt.

“I have NEVER demanded for sex from any male as payment or gratification in order to give them assistance, platforms or positions. God is the only King Maker, the only One who can raise and erase kings, give positions and platforms.

“I have NEVER had sex with (*******) or proposed sex to him for any reason.

“The questions in the screenshot were asked during a conversation in a male teenagers WhatsApp group where discussions regarding Male Reproductive Health and Self Esteem took place.

“The teenagers were taught about the right hygiene for reproductive health, the right kind of underwear to buy, and that the girth and length determines the underwear size. I also explained that their sizes should not affect their self-esteem and that they are perfectly and uniquely created by God.

“It is disheartening to see that the screenshot message has now been mischievously quoted out of context to portray me as someone who has sex with male teenagers.”

I’m apologising for saying, you won’t make heaven for not paying tithe – Pastor Adeboye tells congregation

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has apologized to his congregation for saying that Christians who don’t pay tithe might not make heaven.

The clergyman had earlier claimed that those who were not paying tithes might not make heaven, adding that tithes were one of the prerequisites for going to heaven.

However, during a recent church programme, Pastor Adeboye, in the context of a discussion on biblical principles, apologized for his earlier comment, acknowledging it as a ‘mistake.’

The cleric emphasized that the Bible admonishes for peaceful and holy living, which he noted were the proper prerequisites for making heaven.

In his words: “I am going to be talking to everybody as soon as God permits me, I am going to apologise for making a mistake for saying that if you don’t pay tithe, you will not be making it to Heaven. That is wrong.

“That is not in the Bible. What the Bible says is to make peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see God. What the Bible says is, to follow peace with all men and holiness without which no man will make heaven.”

Pastor Adeboye narrates how he was duped by a man promising commandant role

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has narrated a painful experience on how he was deceived by someone who promised to offer him a prestigious position in a paramilitary agency.

According to the clergyman via the microblogging platform, X formerly Twitter on Monday, his ambition to become a group head led to a significant personal loss.

He said the man, had posed as a recruiter for a new agency, and had convinced him to invest in the venture.

Describing his decision to trust the man, Adeboye noted that his desire to fulfil this role led him to act prematurely which made him regrett heavily

He narrated, “Years ago, I was duped by a man who promised to make me a commandant of a paramilitary group. This man had been sending messages to me through my secretary for a while, and so, one day, I gave him an audience. He explained to me how a Boy-Scouts-like group had evolved into this new agency, and that he was sourcing for who would lead the group spiritually.

“Normally, I ask God before getting involved in anything at all, but this time, my love for the military in my younger days beclouded my best instincts, and I agreed to be their head. He told me that they needed some funding, which I gave as the prospective head. However, I later found out that the man was a fake.”

He, however, noted that the experience birthed the Redemption City corps and a local police post.

“My desire to be part of a paramilitary group made me run ahead of God, but God had already purposed for Redemption City to have its own corps of chaplains as well as a local Police post. He knew the desire of my heart, and He had planned for it to be fulfilled in His own time. I thought that I could bring my desire to fulfilment in my own time, but I was wrong. What I lost in that experience was money, but for someone else, it might have been their life or a loved one.
