  • KILLINGS: End Wanton innocent blood shedding now or Nigeria risks God’s anger – Pastor Adeboye warns

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has said many people do not know that when the ground of a nation becomes saturated with the blood of the innocent, the ground responds by producing a plague.
TheNewsGuru (TNG) reports the General Overseer popularly referred to as Daddy GO by devout members of the RCCG made this known in his message at the monthly Holy Ghost service of the church.
The revered, succinctly spoken man of God enjoined all Nigerians not to stop praying for mercy and divine intervention for God to stop the bloodshed in the country.
“The Bible says the life of the animal is in the blood. So, the blood is powerful, and it speaks; it has a voice. So, when you shed blood; when you shed innocent blood, the blood speaks from the earth.
“And there is something many people don’t know. When the ground of a nation becomes saturated with the blood of the innocent, the ground responds by producing a plague.
“May I give just one illustration. When the ground of shall we just say, take just one nation, Sierra Leone; it is saturated with the blood of the innocent; plague came called Ebola. I’m sure you will remember.
“Now somebody then came and brought that Ebola to Nigeria, and he brought it at the time of our convention. Probably we remember. And people had already come by thousands from all over Africa. They were already here for the ministers conference leading to the convention.
“All the governments around, they heard it. They wrote to me what are we going to do, these people are here among your people. I went to God, Daddy help me! What do I do? If there should be a single case of Ebola in this place, during convention, we are finished, because it would be carried to the whole world.
“Daddy told me one thing, and I am telling you this now, so that you will know why you must pray. He said, no problem my son, I will stop the Ebola in Nigeria. He said because the cup of Nigeria is not yet full. And you know within two weeks, the Ebola vanished from Nigeria, because at that time, the cup of Nigeria is not yet full.
“That is why I have been crying to you, I have been telling you for almost a year now please pray that God would have mercy on Nigeria so that this bloodshed can end before our cup is full,” Adeboye revealed.
While also speaking at the programme, the RCCG GO sounded a note of warning to young ministers to flee every appearances of evil.

  • Crash: Pastor Adeboye says Devil wanted to take Osinbajo’s life

Crash: Pastor Adeboye says Devil wanted to take Osinbajo’s life

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has said the devil wanted to take the life of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. “But God put the devil to shame”.

TheNewsGuru (TNG) reports Pastor Adeboye on Sunday in a live telecast from the RCCG headquarters, Lagos, asked his congregation to rise and give glory to God for saving the life of Osinbajo, whom he described as his son.

He asked the congregation to specially appreciate God on behalf of the Vice President and all the crew onboard, for his supernatural protection, saying Nigeria would not mourn.

In his sermon entitled: “Carriers of Glory”, Adeboye said for anybody to carry glory, he must be a true child of God and live a life of holiness.

Taking his lesson from the Bible in the book of Isiah 60:1-4, he said: “Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.
2 See, darkness covers the earth
and thick darkness is over the peoples,
but the Lord rises upon you
and his glory appears over you.
3 Nations will come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

4 “Lift up your eyes and look about you:
    All assemble and come to you;
    your sons come from afar,
and your daughters are carried on the hip.

“As a carrier of glory, anywhere you arrive the darkness will automatically disappear.

“When God begins to use you, the glory belongs to God and you, so you must learn to always give glory to God.

“Do not take the glory to yourself because it is not yours, it belongs to God,” Adeboye said.

Meanwhile, Osinbajo speaking during a thanksgiving service at the RCCG, City of Grace, Lokoja, said that no amount of thanksgiving and praises to God would be enough for saving his life and the nine others in the Saturday’s helicopter crash.

“Only God can take the glory for saving my life and that of the nine crew members on board,” he said.

He said that it would have been breaking news on local and international media that Vice President Osinbajo and nine crew members died in a helicopter crash, but God had not allowed such to happen.

“No amount of thanksgiving and praises to God would be enough for saving my life and nine crew on board.

“God is the one who can do all things, and only him can take the glory; we return the glory to him.

“We are here to say thank you, thank you Jesus. We bless his name forever and ever,” he said.

He prayed God to bless all the people that have celebrated with him in the state, the nation and the world at large.

“All I have to say is that we are grateful and we are moving to the next level; the Lord will uphold us to the next level and Kogi will be number one,” Osinbanjo said.

Holy Ghost Congress: Worshippers seek God for greener pastures

Some worshippers at the just concluded RCCG’s 2018 Holy Ghost Congress, prayed using flags of foreign countries as their point of contacts for greener pastures.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) camp ground at Shimawa, Ogun, has a corner in the church premises where flags of foreign countries were conspicuously displayed.

A NAN correspondent, who was at the six-day congress, reports that both male and female worshippers were seen holding unto different flags of foreign countries at prayer sessions.

Some of the worshippers were seen praying kneeling down in between the flags.

In an interview with some of the worshippers, a 35 year-old man who identified himself as Emmanuel Ukor, confirmed that he prayed with the flag of the country he intended to visit.

“I have faith and that’s why I am holding American flag pole for prayer, I have been going to the embassy and had been denied several times.

“There is nothing prayer cannot do, I believe God answers prayers,” he said.

Also, a 22 year-old man, Adebola Martins, said that he wished to leave the country to study for his Master degree.

“I want to leave this country for the United Kingdom to further my studies and as well stay there to make end meet, that’s why I am holding its flag,” he said.

Another 60-year-old woman, Mrs Faith Grace, said she held the flags to pray for her children based abroad so they can continue to live well.

“I am using the flags as prayer points of contact to all my children.’’

However, one of the pastors, who pleaded anonymity, said things work with people’s faith.

“Although the flags displayed represent the countries where the church has it parishes, faith works with mind; they are asking God for what they want and so shall it be,” he prayed.

  • Adeboye speaks on a “New Name” at Holy Ghost Congress

Adeboye speaks on a “New Name” at Holy Ghost Congress

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), says God has promised to give Nigerians new names to represent the change He has brought about them.

Adeboye said this on Monday night at the opening of the 2018 Holy Ghost Congress with the theme: “Glory Ahead’’.

The general overseer told his congregation that they had received the name of God that they would wear proudly, adding that the name would be a proof to others that they belonged to God.

“Before God ever created the world, He formed a plan to adopt us into his kingdom. It brings him great pleasure to make us part of His heavenly family.

“Whoever trusts in Jesus for forgiveness of sins, the one who is the `Name above all names,’’ receives a new name `Christian’’ and also a new life, a new purpose, and a new destiny.

“When God changes a name, it indicates that something new has happened or will happen to that person; a new relationship, a new character quality, or a new phase of life.

“We see a similar occurrence today because when a wife takes the name of her husband it represents a change in her life both in the eyes of God and of society.”

Adeboye said that those who would go to heaven would receive a new name and that they would no longer be called by their earthly names.

He charged the congregation to arise and shine for their light had come and the glory of the Lord had risen upon them.

He also called on them to arise and take their rightful place as the light of the world so that those in darkness would see.

The cleric admonished his congregation to make an impact by being “the salt of the earth; but that what good is the salt if it has lost its flavour?’’

“You and I, as Christians, are called the salt of the earth because our lives enhance and give meaning to this existence we call life.

“We are the salt of the earth because Jesus called us by that name and the implication is that we are to bring joy to people.

“Salt is a dietary mineral used for flavouring and preservation needed by all known living creatures and if abused, it can be harmful.

“However, it is also detrimental to have no salt intake because it regulates the water content in our bodies.

“Jesus used salt to describe how Christians are needed to bring balance and hope to an otherwise dying world,” he said.

Adeboye said that the glory of Christians would begin to manifest because they belonged to the body of Christ.

He told the congregation that no one would be able to shut any door against them again because God had the keys.

The six-day inter-Church event would end on Saturday, Dec. 8.

The Church has a strong presence in 197 countries around the world from where members are expected to attend the congress.

This year’s congress is the 21st in the series. It started in 1998 in Lekki with a massive attendance that nearly brought Lagos to a standstill.

Since then the attendance has continued to surge which is partly the reason the church build a new three-kilometre-by-three-kilometre auditorium called, `The New Arena’ to seat up to six million people.

  • Pastor Adeboye speaks on dangers of Internet marriage

Pastor Adeboye speaks on dangers of Internet marriage

Wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor (Mrs) Foluke Adenike Adeboye has charged young adults to seek God first before deciding to marry someone they met on the Internet.
TheNewsGuru (TNG) reports Mrs. Adeboye, who also charged young adults not to marry on credit, made the charge during plenary session themed: “The Indomitable Family” at the ongoing Annual Youth Convention of the RCCG holding at the Redemption Camp.
“Today, people receive their husbands, their wives from the Intenet, from Facebook, from all kinds of gadgets. When it is not of God, it is not good. Whatever is of God is the one that is good. No matter how rossy the qualification of the one we found in the Internet is, if it is not of God, it is of the devil,” she said.
Adeboye, who took her text from Genesis 1 from verse 18 to 26, she said is a very common passage, defined “Indomitable,” one of the keywords in the theme, as “Impossible to subdue” and “impossible to defeat”,
“The family must start from somewhere. Because we are looking for a total youth of tomorrow, who will be adults tomorrow, and who will continue to live a total Christian life. Marriage is good, because God Himself instituted it. There is no way we can just jump over it. God initiated it. Its an instituion He planted by Himself.
“Before a marriage can be impossible to be defeated or be subdued, there must be a foundation for it. Whatever foundation it must be, it must be from the One who initiated it. Which means, the source of every marriage must be from God,” she stated.
The Wife of the General Overseer, advised youths to consult their pastors first on marriage issues before their parents when they decide they want to get married, stressing that this is important so that there is no confusion in the house of God.
“When you attain the age of marriage pray to God for the right choice. There should be no confusion in the house of God. You have to go to your Pastor first to consult for marriage before your parent,” she said.
Adeboye also charged the youths to “Get a job before marriage”, adding: “When you fall out of cash, she falls out of love”.
“The problem we have today is that youths do not want to be accountable. When you live a false life as a youth, when you get married your partner is in trouble,” she further stated.
“Don’t marry on credit, pay your dowry in full,” she charged, while stressing that “Whatever you can afford is what you should do. Cut your coat according to your cloth, not your size”.
