They sent EFCC to probe me after buying private jet – Pastor Adeboye

The General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has revealed he was probed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after purchasing a private jet.

He spoke early Saturday during the Holy Ghost Service of the Church, tagged: “Wonderful.”

According to him, the purpose of buying a jet was not for pleasure but because the church has expanded.

He said: “They sent EFCC to come and probe me, “Where did he get the money to buy a jet?” etc. The noise was much. Then one day, I was flying because I didn’t buy a jet for pleasure; the work has expanded to the level that there is no way I can do it by commercial traveling.

“If you want to travel by commercial, you have to wait for their timetable. If I have to wait for their timetable, I won’t be able to do what God wants me to do. I mean to give you an example: I finished in our European Convention in Spain one night, 33 nations gathered together; as soon as I dismissed the program around 12 midnight, I head straight to the Airport to travel over to Hong Kong.

“I arrived in Hong Kong the following day, did what I needed to do and then moved on to Singapore. I arrived in Singapore, did what I needed to do and then headed for Australia. I got to Australia, did what I needed to do, I headed to Papua New Guinea.

“I needed to touch all those places, minister to them, dedicate the churches, ordain pastors and be back before the next Holy Ghost Service. There’s no way I can do that by the commercial plane. That’s what led to the jet. The noise was great and I was becoming a bit disturbed. “Father, what do I do now?”

Adeboye added: “One day I was flying; it was during the day, far above the cloud. I just felt the Holy Spirit saying, “Look out of the window.” I looked out of the window and said, Lord, I can’t see anything. He said, look down at the cloud and I saw a rainbow.

“Now normally a rainbow is an arc but this rainbow that I saw was a complete circle and it was extremely big. I looked down into the center of the rainbow and I saw the shape of a plane. It looks as if the rainbow was moving, always keeping the plane in the middle.

“The Lord said to me, “Son, the shadow you see is the shadow of this your plane. I have you surrounded.”

“I decree to somebody here today, My Father who is a consuming fire will surround you! He said to me, “Don’t  answer them, I have you surrounded.”

  • Why I’m yet to tell Nigerians who will win 2023 presidential election – Pastor Adeboye

Why I’m yet to tell Nigerians who will win 2023 presidential election – Pastor Adeboye

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has disclosed why he is yet to open up on who will win the 2023 presidential election.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Pastor Adeboye, fondly referred to as Daddy GO, made the disclosure at the January 2023 Holy Ghost Service of the RCCG during his sermon titled: “Wonderful”.

While stressing that people cannot be deceived when they begin to hear from God for themselves, the revered man of God said any prophet who says God has revealed who will win the 2023 presidential election is a liar.

Adeboye said: “Let me tell you one thing. This is for your ears only. Anyone who is prophesying now, telling you this is the fellow who will win, is deceiving you.

“You know why? Daddy has not spoken yet. He hasn’t said anything. So, if you say somebody released a prophecy, saying somebody from this place is the [winner], na lie o”.

Pastor Adeboye said he cannot disclose the winner of the 2023 presidential election yet because God has not revealed it to him yet.

“How can I tell you what He hasn’t told me?” Adeboye questioned rhetorically, adding “you want me to lie to you?”

He, however, charged members of the church gathered at the old auditorium of the RCCG located along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway to get their permanent voter’s cards (PVCs) ready for the elections.

“Get your PVC ready. If He doesn’t say anything, when it is time to vote, vote as the Spirit of God would direct you. If He tells me, well, I may tell you; I may not.

“That is why you must let Him come into you so you can hear from Him directly and nobody would be able to deceive you anymore,” Pastor Adeboye said.

TNG reports the presidential election will hold on Saturday, 25 February 2023 to elect a new president to replace President Muhammadu Buhari.

Top in the race are Peter Obi, candidate of the Labour Party; Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP); Bola Tinubu, candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Meanwhile, 18 political parties and their presidential candidates were cleared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the 2023 presidential election.

  • How I lived first 18 years of my life without shoes – Pastor Adeboye

How I lived first 18 years of my life without shoes – Pastor Adeboye

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has revealed how he lived the first 18 years of his life without shoes.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Pastor Adeboye, fondly referred to as Daddy GO, revealed this during a sermon, themed: ‘Perfect Gift’.

The RCCG GO disclosed that while growing up, his parents were so poor that he had no shoes for the first 18 years of his life.

Adeboye spoke about how things would change for the better for people when they accepted Christ. Using himself as an example, he illustrated how God can change the poor to the rich.

“Some of you who know a little bit about my background, you know when they talk about people coming from a rocky background, that means from a background of hardship.

“My own rocky background was rock among the rocks. My father was so poor, (that) poor people called him poor.

“The elders have a saying, when there is hardship for the husband, and hardship for the wife, there must be hardship for the children.

“The hardship rubbed off on me. For the first 18 years of my life, I had no shoes. My father was so poor.

“The day he bought an umbrella, we were rejoicing, but look at me today, look at what Jesus can do, He can change the poor to the rich; change the unknown to the known,” Pastor Adeboye narrated.
