Ohanaeze Youth Council rejects Reno Omokri’s ambassadorial nomination

The Youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has rejected the recent Ambassadorial nomination of Reno Omokri by President Bola Tinubu.

Ohanaeze said If Nigeria’s security agencies clear Omokri to represent Nigeria, does it imply that his allegations of a drug-related issue involving Tinubu are substantiated.

It stated that in light of Omokri’s ambassadorial nomination, if Nigerian Security Agents have cleared him, would it indicate that his allegations about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s involvement in drug-related business are accurate?

This is contained in a statement issued on Monday by Igboayaka O Igboayaka, National President of Ohanaeze Youth council(OYC) .

According to the statement, represent Nigeria in a diplomatic capacity, one must be an individual whose words and statements are credible and factual.

The statement reads, “Clearing Reno Omokri by security agents for ambassadorial post is an indication that his allegations against Bola Ahmed Tinubu is factual, because according to Reno “Tinubu is a KNOWN DRUG LORD”

“On December 17th, 2022, Mr. Reno Omokri took to his social media handle to inform Nigerians and possibly the country he may be the Nigeria diplomat if he gets clearance that “If anybody can get close enough to Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take a sample of his hair or urine this election will be over! Because with his hair and urine sample, a laboratory can analyze if he still takes drugs and what type of drugs he takes.

“Tinubu is a KNOWN DRUG LORD who belongs in jail, not Aso Rock. I went to Chicago myself and obtained verified documents. It will be a shame if this man gets anywhere close to Aso Rock. A nation with a DRUG LORD PRESIDENT, is a nation whose passport is automatically suspect”

“To maintain their credibility, I advise Nigeria Security Agents during screening to demand that Reno Omokri furnish them with the “verified drugs documents from Chicago” which he asserted he acquired in 2022 and furnish the drug deal business to Nigerians.

” lf Omokri is to represent Nigeria as a diplomat would mean a strong endorsement, institutionalization, and approval of his statements about President Bola Tinubu.”

“Furthermore, It entails that we Nigerians will script on our cars that according Reno Omokri ” BOLA TINUBU A KNOWN DRUG LORD”

“The presidency should know that clearing of Reno Omokri implies and confirms the perception of Nigerians that the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration lacks integrity and credibility.

“Reno Omokri’s criticism of the Nigerian government and certain politicians seems to be motivated by personal political gain rather than a commitment to strengthening democracy in Nigeria.

Omokri reveals why Tinubu’s government inclusive

A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for running an inclusive government that will enhance the country’s unity and stability.

Omokri, in a statement yesterday, said contrary to claims in some quarters, Tinubu’s recent appointments reflect the federal character principles enshrined in the 1999 Constitution as amended.

A Northern group, the Northern Elders Forum, and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, recently criticised the president’s recent appointments as lopsided.

However, Omokri dismissed the claim as untrue, explaining that available records showed Tinubu’s appointments complied with the constitutional provisions on federal character.

“Both the appointment of security chiefs and ministers complied with the Constitution’s federal character principles provisions,” he said, adding, “The mischief makers took the new appointments out of context.”

“In their desperate attempts to provoke a military coup, which is their ultimate goal, these elements have carefully and manipulatively curated all the positions occupied by persons of Southwest origin without balancing those held by persons from other geopolitical zones to paint a picture that does not exist,” he stated.

Omokri explained, “In addition to the Ministry of Defence, Nigeria has 20 security and law enforcement agencies, including the Office of the National Security Adviser, the Nigerian Army, the Nigerian Air Force, the Nigerian Navy, the Nigerian Police Force, the Department of State Service, the Nigerian Intelligence Agency, and the Defence Intelligence Agency.

“The paramilitary forces are the Nigerian Immigration Service, the Nigerian Customs Service, the Nigerian Correctional Service ( formerly known as the Nigerian Prison Service), the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the Federal Road Safety Commission, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit, the Federal Fire Service, and the National Youth Service Corps, which, unknown to most Nigerians, is a reserve force that can be called up during emergencies.”

He said officers from the Southwest headed only the Nigerian Army, the Police, Customs, the DSS, and the EFCC, pointing out that this was contrary to the lopsided situation that existed.

The former presidential aide said, “If that is their argument, what would they say about the immediate past government headed by President Muhammadu Buhari, where the leaders of the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary, as well as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the Chief of Staff to the President, the heads of the Defence Ministry, Attorney General of the Federation, Army, Police, NSA, DSS, NIA, DMI, DIA, NPS, NCS, NIS and EFCC, were all simultaneously Northern Muslim men?

“The fact remains that under President Tinubu, our defence architecture is balanced, which is why, for the first time in eight years, we have a person from the Southeast as a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, in the person of the Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla.”

On appointing new ministers, Omokri argued that it was constitutionally impossible for any President, no matter how sectional, to disregard the Federal Character Commission Act because they must appoint a minister from every state.

He pointed out that the claim that the President appointed 11 ministers from the Southwest was erroneous as the representative of Kwara State, though Yoruba, was from the Northcentral.

Omokri said, “The North of Nigeria has the majority of Ministers in the present cabinet, including what may be referred to as the most prized ministries: the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Police Affairs Ministry.”

He said the President was systematically reforming the governance structure and explained that Nigeria would deepen its federalism from next month as the local governments will receive their Federation Account Allocation directly.

According to him, “Such reforms, along with others like the removal of oil receipts from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited and handing them to the Central Bank of Nigeria, and the removal of fuel subsidies, which have stripped fuel importers and cross-border smugglers of their illicit source of income, have created powerful enemies for the Tinubu administration. These carpetbaggers will stop at nothing to try to incite an illegal and undemocratic regime change.

“They tried it with the failed Days of Rage protests when they went to military barracks to recruit soldiers and flooded some parts of Nigeria with foreign flags. Now that those false flag antics have failed, their next antic is to gaslight Nigerians about so-called Yoruba dominance. A dominance that only exists in their jaundiced imaginations and machinations.”

How Reno Omokri broke my jaw, ruptured eardrum — Estranged wife spills

The estranged wife of controversial former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, Tuokpe Onuwaje, has publicly accused the writer of domestic violence.

This comes after Omokri via his social media over the weekend, shared a photo of his second wife Hanna, describing her as “a beauty queen who has devoted her life to God and to me”.

According to Omokri, Hanna is a woman who does not’’ know how to quarrel and incapable of malice”.

He said, “I want to praise my wife. I thought spoiling was over for me, then I married my wife and got another mother, a pure met-at-home lover.

“A woman who does not know how to quarrel. A being of pure joy that radiates unconditional love. Totally devoid of materialism. The only thing she puts before her husband is her God. Every other person, she has queued behind me.”

In response, Tuokpe who was the first wife of Omokri, in an  Instagram post on Sunday,  recounted how the writer assaulted her, leaving her with “swollen jaw, ruptured eardrums and weeks of pain”.

She noted how she made excuses after the first instances of violence that left her in pains for weeks, but involved the police when he assaulted her again.

“No woman should ever tolerate abuse in a marriage, regardless of how infrequent it might be,” she wrote.

“We often make excuses like wanting to maintain a complete family or staying for the sake of the children. But the truth is, your children deserve better.

“After the first instance of violence, which left me with a swollen jaw and weeks of pain, I made excuses, thinking I must have provoked the anger. I even had to endure seeing my daughter witness another slap.

“And there was the morning I woke up to find blood on my pillow from a ruptured eardrum you caused. The final straw was when you assaulted me again, leading me to involve the police.

“Now you claim to be happily married to a woman who doesn’t “quarrel”. Good luck to her, because you always wanted someone you could control and intimidate.”

Peter Obi accused of showing allegiance to Biafra flag

Reno Omokri, a socio-political activist, accused Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), of showing allegiance to the Biafra flag on Sunday. Omokri claimed that Obi declared the end of his presidential ambition by calling for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Peter Obi had previously urged the Federal Government, led by President Bola Tinubu, to release Kanu, EndSARS protesters, and other freedom fighters who are imprisoned. Speaking to journalists on Saturday in Anambra State, Obi stated that protesters and freedom fighters have the right to express their grievances through protest.

Omokri posted a photo of Obi and the Biafra flag on his X page, commenting, “The ‘Release Nnamdi Kanu Now’ statement by Peter Obi is the obituary of Peter Obi’s Presidential ambition. By calling for the release of a man who made public broadcasts asking his supporters to kill Nigerian military and paramilitary forces wherever they find them and has neither apologized nor repented of that order, Peter Obi just showed his allegiance to the flag behind him in this photo and which he used for his Hero beer logo! And by the way, anybody or group of people or movement that thinks they can intimidate me and prevent me from saying what I really believe at any point in time obviously does not know me. My body does not secrete the fear hormone.”

Obasanjo during the 2023 presidential elections, threw his weight behind the Labour Party (LP) candidate and former Anambra governor, Peter Obi, against Tinubu, who had publicly solicited his support before the election.

“Former President Obasanjo Wears Tinubu Branded Cap. I Thought He Was Supporting Peter Obi. Interesting Realignment!” Omokri captioned the video.

The former Anambra State governor had said he would like the younger generations to respect him when he is Soyinka’s age. His comment was an aftermath of Soyinka’s claim that Obi was unfit to govern Nigeria.

But, the former LP presidential candidate said he has never incited Obidients or the younger ones to say anything against anyone.

Omokri, posting on his X handle, said “Peter Obi says Wole Soyinka should behave in a way that makes people respect him. I would laugh, if not that it is so ridiculous for a man who declared religious war on Muslims to say that Wole Soyinka is not behaving in a manner deserving of respect. • Reverting to the old National Anthem a “giant step backward.” – Reno Omokri

Reverting to the old National Anthem a “giant step backward.” – Reno Omokri

A sociopolitical activist and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has described the return of the old national anthem as a “giant step backward.”

It would be recalled that the  House of Representatives on May 23, the lower chamber passed a bill to adopt the old National Anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.”

In the same vein, the Senate on Tuesday passed the same bill despite opposition from concerned citizens.

In the heat of the controversy surrounding the move, the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi on Monday urged the National Assembly to halt the bill, saying the law regarding the National Anthem should not be enacted through legislative debate alone.

Nigeria’s President on Wednesday, May 29 signed the bill into law as announced by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

However, in his reaction, Omokri said via his official X handle on Wednesday that the move, stressing that returning the old National Anthem was one of the most unnecessary acts of governance in Nigeria in recent times.

According to the social commentator, the National Anthem, which was used from independence in 1960 until 1978, was composed by foreigners, stressing that abandoning the indigenous anthem, Arise, O Compatriots’ National Anthem, is taking the country backwards.

He wrote, “If I look sad in the attached photo, it is for a reason. My heart is very heavy about Nigeria right now because, in my opinion, we just took a giant step backwards in our national journey.

“One of the most unnecessary acts of governance in Nigeria in recent times is the law returning the old National Anthem. First of all, there was nothing wrong with the existing anthem. Secondly, with all of the multifaceted issues we face, it seems like we have a lack of priorities, when we major on such a settled issue as an anthem.

“To me, it looks like a step backwards to discard the ‘Arise, O Compatriots’ National Anthem written by a collective of young Nigerians, including John A. Ilechukwu, Eme Etim Akpan, B. A. Ogunnaike, Sota Omoigui and P. O. Aderibigbe in 1978, for ‘Nigeria, We Hail Thee’, written by an English woman, Lillian Jean Williams.

“Does it not sound preposterous that a foreigner should write our National Anthem? Are we that shallow and uninspired that we cannot come up with our own indigenous anthem? You can imagine the land of such music icons, like Fela Kuti, Osita Osadebe, Dan Maraya Jos, and contemporary stars, like Sade Adu, Burna Boy, Davido and Wizkid, importing music of national significance from Britain. As my Yoruba brethren will say, ‘O wrong now!’

“Already, the name Nigeria was given to us by another English lady, Flora Shaw. And she named us in 1897 in much the same way you name a dog. She did it tongue in cheek, for an article she wrote for The Times of London.

“We ought to have even changed that name to something indigenous, such as the Republic of Wazobia, as Ghana did in 1957 when she changed from Gold Coast to Ghana at Independence in 1957.

“We should also have reverted to the original name for Lagos, Eko. Lagos is an imposed Portuguese name. The annoying thing is that the Portuguese who renamed Eko as Lagos were just opportunistic slave traders who did not set up any viable administrative structure.

“Instead of undertaking these name changes, we are rather doubling down on another colonial relic by discarding the anthem written by our own citizens for one written by a foreigner.

“I dare anyone reading this to name another country whose National Anthem was written by a foreigner. Even a Banana Republic would not do that!”.

Reno Omokri to men: Don’t marry a woman you are not attracted to

Reno Omokri, special assistant to former president Goodluck Jonathan, has dished out a word of advise for men who marry women solely for good character without considering physical attraction.

The former presidential aide took to his Twitter page to warn men who gets married simply because their spouse is a prayer warrior.

He stated that while being prayerful is a good attribute, it is not sufficient enough to hold down a marriage and anybody follows that route is finished.

According to Omokri, a man that is not physically attracted to his wife would start to look outside to fulfill his desires.

    He said:

“As a man, if you marry a prayer warrior you are not physically attracted to, you are FINISHED. No. I was wrong. You are not FINISHED. You are COMPLETELY FINISHED. You will never be happy in your marriage if you are unhappy in your marital bed. A good character is vital in a woman. But without physical attraction, the only session you guys will enjoy is a prayer session! An ideal wife should be able to pray, slay, and stay. Read Proverbs 5:19. Even God expects your wife to excite you physically. Proverbs 5:19 says that an ideal wife should have breast that takes you to ecstasy and love that intoxicates you. Assume I am lying. Read it yourself. It is satan who wants you to marry a prayer warrior you have no attraction to, so he can tempt you to commit adultery with women you are attracted to
