N80b allegedly stolen by Accoubtant General: Reno Omokri asks ASUU not to end strike

A former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has asked the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) not to suspend their ongoingg strike if it is true that the Accountant General of the federation, Ahmed Idris stole the sum of N80 billion.

He urged ASUU members to hold on until their demands are met.

In a tweet on Tuesday after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFFCC announced the arrest of the Accountant General of the Federation for alleged involvement in fraud and money laundering.

TheNewsGuru.com had reported that Nigeria’s accountant-general was arrested on Monday “after failing to honour invitations” by EFCC to respond to the allegations.

He encouraged the lecturers should insist that the Federal Government pays them with the N80 billion allegedly stolen by the arrested head of Nigeria’s treasury.

Omokri wrote, ” Dear ASUU, If the Accountant General of the Federation can steal ₦80 billion, then you have no reason to end your strike.

“Ask Buhari to use the stolen ₦80 billion to pay you and then keep the change. After all, the money you are asking for is not even up to ₦80 billion!

“Just look at how morally bankrupt Nigeria is. The same Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, married a 16-year-old girl and he was not sacked or arrested by Buhari.”

EFCC had said Idris “raked off the funds through bogus consultancies and other illegal activities using proxies, family members and close associates.”

The proceeds were invested by Idris in real estate in the capital Abuja and in his home state of Kano in northern Nigeria, it said in a statement issued late Monday.

Idris has not commented on the accusations.

On February 15, ASUU began a four-week rollover strike following the Federal Government’s failure to meet its demands.

National President of ASUU, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, said the decision was taken after the union’s National Executive Committee meeting.

He said since the last meeting the union had with the federal government in December 2021, it had not received any formal invitation from the government.

The Union extended the action by another two months to afford the government more time to address all of its demands.

ASUU also accused the government of displaying an indifferent attitude toward its demands.

The Chairman, in a statement to announce the extension of the rollover strike, noted that the national executive council of the union “was disappointed that Government did not treat the matters involved with utmost urgency they deserved during the four-week period as expected of a reasonable, responsive, and well-meaning administration”.

Prof Osodeke said the NEC concluded that the government had failed to satisfactorily address all the issues raised in the 2020 Memorandum of Action within the four-week roll-over strike period and resolved that the strike be rolled over for another eight weeks.
The Chairman said the strike continues over the government’s failure to “satisfactorily” implement the Memorandum of Action it signed with the Union in December 2020 on funding for revitalisation of public universities (both Federal and States), renegotiation of the 2009 ASUU Agreement and the deployment of the University Transparency and Accountability Solution.

ASUUs other demands include Earned Academic Allowances, State Universities, promotion arrears, withheld salaries, and non-remittance of third-party deductions.

2023 Presidency: Reno Omokri speaks on Jonathan joining APC

Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan, has reacted to speculations that his former boss has joined All Progressive Congress APC and also lent his voice on the purchase of the N100 million nomination and expression of interest forms of the All Progressives Congress, APC, by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria,( MACBAN).

TheNewsGuru.com recalls that MACBAN had purchased the APC nomination and expression of interest form for the immediate past president of the country.

Although, the ex-president has explained that he was not consulted and not aware that a group purchased the nomination form on his behalf.

Omokri revealed that he chose to tarry on speaking on the matter because he wanted his enemies to rejoice over the thought that his former boss has been ridiculed.

“Jonathan has nothing to do with the reported purchase of some forms. He has an official spokesman and his own staff. He is a man of honour and will not do anything surreptitiously. The media and the public should be guided.

“I could have denied this hours ago, but I deliberately declined in order to watch his enemies and mine dance deliriously at the thought that they’d demystified @GEJonathan. There is no Nigerian alive that has the national and international credibility that HE GEJ has,” Omokri tweeted.

How many homes are destroyed – Reno Omokri advises new couples

Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s aide, Reno Omokri has advised new couples against bringing family members into their homes.

In a recent post shared on his Instagram page, TheNewsGuru reports Reno noted that bringing in family members has destroyed a lot of homes.

His post reads: ”Dear couples, After your wedding, note that you need time to strengthen your marriage Union. If you bring in relatives to live with you, you may not be able to strengthen your bond. You need a house that is so free that both of you can chase each other naked around it, like Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

This is how many homes are destroyed. Two imperfect people marry. Out of foolishness, they allow in-laws live with them from the get-go. The in-laws note the imperfection of the spouse not related to them, and inform their extended family, and just like that, your marital issues are extended and become family issues!”

Polygamy versus Monogamy debate: A response to Reno Omokri – By Aaron Ukodie

    By Aaron Ukodie

I have read the argument by Mr. Reno Omokri stating that God is not against Polygamy; that of a fact God endorses and there is nowhere in scripture that speaks against polygamy.

I will respond to Omokri, stating rightly that he has a wrong understanding of the difference between the Old Testament (OT) and the New Testament (NT), which is brought about by Jesus’s death, burial, and resurrection. We must begin this conversation by understanding that Jesus came to give us a new life and a new way of living; in some cases different from the OT order; while in some others giving a new perspective to OT requirements and worldview. Jesus came to reorder the disordering of God’s Order from the beginning of the creation of man. So, the OT does not really give us a perfect picture of God’s mind. That is why Bible says the OT is a shadow of the NT.

So, let us begin from the beginning by explaining God’s order or intention regarding marriage. This is what God said and intended for marriage in the beginning, as expressly stated in Genesis 2: 24.

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh”. Note the scripture said WIFE and not WIVES. In creation, God created ONE MAN, ONE WOMAN. And that scripture says the MAN and WOMAN, when they are joined together would become ONE FLESH, not TWO FLESH; not THREE FLESH. So, further, interrogate this statement. When a man marries TWO WIVES, the One Man and Two Women cannot become One Flesh. They become TWO Fleshes

We see that the man, Adam, and the woman, Eve stayed true to this injunction. There is no record that Adam married another wife.

We also see that once Adam and Eve disobeyed God, the man began to walk against the ways of God. In fact, the bible records that wickedness began to increase on the earth, on account of Adam and Eve’s disobedience of God’s instruction. So pervasion of the God order and way of life started seeping into human soul and existence. Genesis 6 verse 1-3 says: “Now it came to pass when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took WIVES for themselves of all whom they chose.” So, we see a flagrant disrespect of the God order. Wicked and lustful men began to take wives “of all whom they chose”.

Omokri made the argument that several bible characters did not heed this demand or instruction and God did not punish them; He even approved of them. We see Abraham, who married two wives; David, who committed adultery with Beersheba and married her; Solomon, who married several wives, several Israel Kings, who married several wives in the list of those who married more than one wife and God did not punish them. In fact, God told David when he went for Uriah’s wife that if he had asked for more wives He would have given more to him. The point needs to be made here that by the time David came to the scene Moses had given the law on marriage which allowed the Patriarchs to marry more than one wife. God had decided to allow polygamy, by regulating its practice in the Law of Moses.

But we would get to understand later that because God permitted it did not mean it was God’s perfect will or original plan. A disruption of His order had begun to take place on earth. We have seen from scriptures that it is not everything that God approved of or permitted that is in His perfect will. He allowed certain things over a period of time, while He works towards drawing man’s attention to His eventual perfect plan. We see this in Israel asking for a king like every other nation. That wasn’t God’s perfect plan for Israel. He allowed it and gave them King Saul. We know that God’s perfect plan is for God to be king over them, a plan that He would still bring to pass in the future, through Jesus Christ. In fact, God called Ishmael, the son of the bondwoman. Ishmael was born according to the flesh, while Isaac was born according to a divine approval Galatians 4; 21-26.

In fact, God did not reckon Ishmael as the son of Abraham, even though He blessed him. This is what God said to Abraham in Genesis 22; 2 “Please take your son, your ONLY ONE (italics mine), whom you love, Isaac”. God needed to make the clarification so Abraham would not be confused. God saw Isaac, as Abraham’s ONLY son, even though Abraham first had Ishmael, in disobedience to God.

You could also see the disputes that arose from that polygamous infraction in the life of Abraham and Sarah. We also see what the birth of Ishmael from an ungodly alliance has brought to Israel and the world. The fate of Ishmael was prophesied by an Angel of the God in Genesis 16: 12. It says “You shall call his name Ishmael because the Lord has heard your affliction. He shall be a wild man; His hand shall be against every man, and every man’s had against him…”

The same happened to David. In fact, God was annoyed with David for his adultery and the child of that adultery died, because God wanted it so, even though David married other wives, according to Moses’ Law.

Solomon who married many wives went out of God’s will and committed all sorts of evil deeds because of his many wives. This is what God said of Solomon because of his many wives. 1 Kings 11 “He had seven hundred wives of royal birth and three hundred concubines, and his wives led him astray. As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father had been”. In fact, God was angry with Solomon 1 Kings 11:9. Solomon did not obey his father David 1 Kings 22: 3.

That God allowed some Old Testament people to marry many wives did not mean that God wanted it so. God allowing you to do something does not mean He desires it so, or that is His perfect plan for you.

When you read the many cases of Polygamy in the Old Testament you would find out that the practice created unmitigated sociological disaster, as it still does today; creating heartbreaks and sowing family discords.

Again, we should note though that some Old Testament Fathers disobeyed God in the area of marriage, and God allowed it, which is not an excuse that God endorses polygamy in the New Testament dispensation. The NT brought in God’s mind marriage and the way all believers in Christ should conduct themselves regarding marriage and relate to the marriage institution. Jesus said that because of their hardened heart, Moses, through God’s permission in the Old Testament Law, allowed His people, the Israelites to marry more than one wife and give them permission to divorce, with its imperfections and the troubles it brought those who engaged in it.

We see that God, often always tried to point us back to His original order. We see that In Malachi; where God clearly showed that He desired covenanted Monogamy. It is instructive that God reminded us again of His perfect plan for marriage at the end of the Old Testament scriptures, that is Malachi when He was about to introduce the Perfect Son who would show His perfect way; that is Jesus beginning from the book of Matthew. This is what Malachi 2: 13- 16: “Another thing you do: You flood the Lord’s altar with tears. You weep and wail because he no longer looks with favor on your offerings or accepts them with pleasure from your hands. You ask, “Why?” It is because the Lord is the witness between you and the wife of your youth. You have been unfaithful to her, though she is your partner, the wife of your marriage covenant.

“ Has not the one God made you? You belong to him in body and spirit. And what does the one God seek, Godly offspring? So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful to the wife of your youth.

“The man who hates and divorces his wife,” says the Lord, the God of Israel, “does violence to the one he should protect,” says the Lord Almighty.

So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful.” What could be clearer, Mr. Omokri? The book of Malachi is the last book that ended the OT scriptures and introduced us to the gospels, even though Jesus lived in the OT era. Now, God through Malachi drew the attention of the Israelites, and thus ours, to His perfect plan concerning marriage. Marriage, in the plan of God, as first stated in Genesis 2: 24, is a covenant. The man and the woman are to stay faithful to it. More especially the man, who is required not to deal treacherously in the marriage pact but to stay faithful to the wife (not WIVEs) of his youth. How does one stay unfaithful to the wife of his youth? It is by not going behind her to marry another wife, joining him with another woman, and not committing adultery.

Then we see Jesus taking on the same theme of the sanctity of the marriage institution as God envisaged and required it. He began to introduce us to the NEW Life, the NEW WAY OF LIVING in God, by giving us the divine ability, through His Grace, to live according to God’s ways; the way God designed man to live before the fall of Adam and Eve when lust had not come into humanity.

This is what Jesus said in Mark 10: 5 or Matthew 19: 3- 10: “Because of the hardness of your hearts he (Moses) wrote you this precept. But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and Female. For this reason, a man shall leave his wife (not wives), and the two (not three) shall become one flesh” Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate. He said to them “whoever divorces his wife and marries commits adultery against her and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery. See the reaction of the Pharisees in verse 10; “If such is the case of the man with his wife, it is better not to marry”. It was hard saying and difficult deal to fallen and lustful man.

Now, I read Reno saying that Jesus’ remark in Mark 10: 5-9 relates to divorce only. Let’s analyse it contextually and deductively.”

In the above statement by Jesus, He was referring to Gen 2: 24, which we have referenced.

Now this is what that scripture says: “For this reason, a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh”

Yes, Jesus was responding to the question of divorce, that was asked him when He made reference to that scripture. Reno should have known that the original text in Gen 2: 24 was not discussing divorce but the union between man and woman in marriage. Jesus used the occasion of that question of divorce to bring out the sanctity of marriage and how it should be contracted and upheld as planned by God in the beginning. But now the hardness of men’s hearts made God wink at that disorder and subsequently allowed Moses to rule on it in the OT. It is perfect and logical reasoning that we assign to that text its original context and application before the secondary application, that of not violating the marriage union or covenant or pact between One Man and One Woman with adultery and divorce. Because when a man and a woman are joined together, they become one flesh. When a divorce takes place the Union has been disrupted. It is the same way with violating the sanctity of the union with adultery.

1 Timothy 3: 2 spoke about the sanctity of marrying one wife. The scripture says a Bishop or Deacon must be blameless, a husband of one. That scripture should not be understood to mean that it relates to bishops alone and that those who would not be bishops could marry more than one wife. That would be absurd. It would go contrary to Jesus’ Marriage template. Note that the first criteria are that a bishop should be BLAMESS, so in the scrutinizing of a church member that would be a bishop the person must be seen as someone who had not played around, who may have divorced, and married another woman. He must be one who has the history one who has and is married to one wife alone. Not one who had married a wife and divorced and married another wife, at this point. He must be blameless in the marriage institution.

The idea of one man and one wife was also exemplified for us in the description of Jesus as the husband of ONE Wife, not TWO. The Church here is referred to as a wife in Ephesians 5, and Paul also quoting Jesus and Genesis 2: 24 ended that text by saying “Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his OWN WIFE (not wives) as himself, and let the wife sees that she respects her husband”. So, we who are of Him should exemplify him by marrying just one wife, and not two.

To avoid fornication and deal with those who could not control their lust and burning passion, Paul advised in 1 Corinthians 7 for Christians to marry (One wife, not two).

We have seen that when men began to lust after the daughters of men they began to take of all whom they chose. Marrying more than one wife is a product of lust; of the fallen state of man. When Adam and Eve sinned humanity began to disobey God’s order; man became lustful. Ojukokore (lusting) entered the world. There are behaviours in the Old Testament that God winked at, according to scripture. According to Jesus, there is a way God intended the relationship between man and woman to be, but the hearts of fallen men made God wink at some of the behaviours of men in the OT days, but in Christ, He now commands all men to return to the state of obedience to God’s order and ways. Now, this has nothing to do with traditions of men, which mostly are derived from the fallen state of man’s heart; the state of disobedience to God’s order. We are discussing God’s perfect order; God’s perfect life, which Jesus came to reenact and preach about, which the apostles were devoted to and expanded and gave more light. A heart or soul that is free from lust, which is a sin against God, will not seek a second wife; he would loath polygamy. He would see marriage as God intended it and not the way traditions of men or how the early Patriarchs in their imperfect way viewed marriage.

PDP will lose if they field a southerner-Reno Omokri explains

Former president Goodluck Jonathan’s aide Reno Omokri, who is also a socio-political activist has explained why the North would obey President Muhammadu Buhari’s direction that the region should vote for Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2023.

Omokri explained that president Buhari has well over 12 million Northerners who would obey his command on voting Tinubu in 2023 presidential elections.

To this end, the former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan warned the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, against fielding a Southerner in 2023.

Omokri stated via his social media page that the PDP must field a Northerner to contest the 2023 presidential election in order to stand a chance.

He wrote: “Buhari has always had a captive audience of 12 million Northerners.

“If PDP fields a Southerner in 2023, his 12 million captive audience will obey Buhari’s command to vote for Tinubu. And he will win. The only way they won’t obey him is if the PDP fields a Northerner!”

Meanwhile president Buhari is yet to announce his anointed candidate but insinuations are rife that Rotimi Amaechi may get the nod.

Recently, the President said he would not disclose his preferred candidate because he may be assassinated.

However baring last minute change, the All Progressive Congress (APC) indirect primary elections holds may 30.

Reno Omokri tackles VP Osinbajo, says declaration speech watery

A former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has lambasted Vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo over his declaration of interest in the country’s presidency.
Recall that VP Osinbajo on Monday morning declared his intentions to contest the 2023 presidential election under the auspices of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)
Reacting to Osinbajo’s declaration of interest on his official facebook page, Omokri said the VP lacks the capacity and tenacity to lead Nigeria, saying he has always been part of the country’s problems.
His post reads”Osinbajo’s declaration speech was watery and baseless. First of all, how could he say he is running to “complete the task” that Buhari started? Buhari stated extreme poverty and overwhelming security for Nigeria. Under Buhari, our country’s debt has grown from ₦12 trillion in 2015, to almost ₦50 trillion this year (if the new ₦6 trillion loan requests are granted. If Osinbajo is running to “complete” that, then he is running to completely destroy what is left of Nigeria!
”Osinbajo said he is running to provide jobs for millions. Those were his exact words. The fellow has been in charge of Nigeria’s economy for the last seven years, according to Buhari, who boasted that Osinbajo heads his economic management team . Yet, Nigerians have lost jobs created by other administrations. His job record is FAILURE! Nigeria has less jobs now, than in 2015, and our unemployment rate has increased from 12% in 2015, to 33% according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
‘Osinbajo said he wants to birth the expectations of greatness for Nigeria. Under his leadership of Buhari’s economic management team, Nigeria became the world headquarters for extreme poverty. We do not need Osinbajo’s type of ‘expectation’!
”Osinbajo in his declaration speech said he remained focused on securing the country. That is an insult to the intelligence of Nigerians. Under Osinbajo and Buhari, Nigeria became the 3rd most insecure nation on Earth. Only Iraq and Afghanistan are worse than us. We just witnessed a train bombing and the abduction of over a hundred Nigerians who are still with terrorists. Over 700 of our soldiers have been killed in the last 18 months. If that is what Osinbajo’s focus produces, then we don’t need it!
”For years, Osinbajo has been posing as an intellectual. So, at the very least, we expected his declaration speech to be filled with his achievements in office. But it was instead filled with promises. Empty promises. Because he and Buhari have no achievements to show for their wasted seven years”
”Osinbajo fooled us with his empty promises in 2015. Now, he is making new promises. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Don’t forget how he was doing Trader Moni during the last elections. Did he not abandon it after he and Buhari rigged themselves to a second term?
” In summary, Osinbajo’s declaration speech was as short as him, because he has no achievements, no plans, no priorities. The only thing he has are promises. And let us not forget that this was the same man who promised to create 3 million jobs annually. The best predictor of future behaviour is past behaviour. And Osinbajo’s past betrays him as an echo of Buhari’s cluelessness”

Omokri says Buhari has 10 bullet proof Mercedes worth N2bn yet Nigeria hasn’t one bomb detector

Former presidential aide and socio-political activist, Reno Omokri, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of having over ten bullet proof Mercedes Maybach worth N200m each “but could not provide even one bomb detector, which cost just N180 million”.

Omokri called out the Nigerian leader over the recent bombing of the Abuja-Kaduna train by suspected terrorists.

According to him, why would Buhari gif Afghanistan the sum of $1 million when his own country is in chaos, security and economic wise?

He claimed that, “The machine that would have detected bombs on the Abuja-Kaduna rail tracks cost about ₦180 million. Yet, the Buhari regime did not purchase it. But Buhari spent over ₦200 million buying a bullet proof Mercedes Maybach for himself. Buhari cares only about himself!

“Buhari has 10 Presidential jets and more than 10 Mercedes Benzes worth over ₦1 billion. Yet, he can’t provide even one bomb detector for the Abuja-Kaduna rail, 6 months after it was first bombed on October 22, 2022. Nigeria has 2 terrorists. Buhari and the bandits!

“Dear Buhari, just this month you gave $1 million to the terrorist government of Afghanistan. That money could have bought 10 bomb detectors for the Abuja-Kaduna rail. You spent $8 million on repentant Boko Haram. Wouldn’t that have been best spent on bomb detectors?

“How many people did IPOB kill before Buhari threatened them with his now infamous ‘speak to them in a language they understand’ tweet? How come he has not spoken to terrorists in the same language? Is it because they are from his tribe, and not a dot in a circle?”

Recall that the Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, had recently faulted the decision of President Buhari to give $1 million to Afghanistan through the Organisation of Islamic Countries, OIC.

The group said it was unconstitutional for Buhari to donate $1 million of public funds without appropriation to the OIC for onward disbursement to the Islamic regime that came to power by the barrel of a gun in Afghanistan.

Atiku, Omokri condemn attack on Abuja-Kaduna train, as HURIWA calls for Gumi’s arrest

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, have condemned the second consecutive attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train, just as HURIWA calls for arrest of Sheikh Gumi.

In a statement on Wednesday, Atiku expressed sadness over the news of fatalities during the Monday night ambush.

He noted that the audacity of a second offensive by terrorists raises serious concerns.

“We are now getting to know the extent of the loss of human lives and those missing in the Monday attack on the same route.”

Omokri, on his part, berated Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State and former Education Minister, Oby Ezekwesili, over the bandits attacks in the state.

Omokri described El-Rufai and Ezekwesili’s calmness following the attacks at the Kaduna International Airport and Kaduna-Abuja train as a form of terrorism.

In a tweet, the former presidential aide said the northern part of the country would be “boiling” if both attacks happened during Jonathan’s administration.

According to Omokri, El-Rufai and Ezekwesili would have been on the streets protesting if the attacks happened during Jonathan’s era.

“Northern Nigeria would be boiling and @elrufai and @ObyEzeks would be dancing naked in the street, if Jonathan was President when the Abuja-Kaduna train was bombed and terrorists took over Kaduna airport. But they are all calm. Hypocrisy is also a form of terrorism!” Omokri asserted.

Recall that on Saturday, bandits had attacked the Kaduna International Airport but were repelled by security agencies.

A few days later, bandits attacked a Kaduna-bound train.

Meanwhile, HURIWA has called on the Federal Government to arrest controversial Sheikh Abubakar Gumi.

Sheikh Gumi is an influential Islamic cleric who had persistently defended the bandits and other marauders in Northern Nigeria.

HURIWA, in a statement by its National Coordinator, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, argued that Sheikh Gumi has been outspoken as a “bandits’ sympathiser” over the years including demanding blanket amnesty for daredevil bandits and venturing into the forests of Zamfara, Katsina, and Niger State to hold discussion with the dreaded bandits turning the North-West zone to another place of sorrow, tears and blood.

The rights group also said it was not enough for the regime of President Muhammadu Buhari to declare bandits as terrorists as gazetted by the Federal Government in January 2022 following the order of Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Rather, the group said the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), should go further and also gazette “bandits’ sympathisers” like Gumi as terrorists sympathisers.

“Why did the Federal Government capture Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and slammed a blanket ban on his Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) only for pouring invective against the person of Buhari from his London United Kingdom base but the same government through the National Security Adviser to the President Major General Babagana Monguno even openly endorsed the clandestine meetings of terrorists with Sheikh Abubakar Gumi of Kaduna?” HURIWA queried.

“This is double standards and this is the reason why there is so much injustices all around this administration. Why is the government pretending like it never heard or read on the media when Sheikh Gumi said there will be war if the then bandits are declared as terrorists and that he will no longer interface with them after the declaration and now that the war foretold has started and innocent blood is being spilled.

“Why is the government not inviting Sheikh Gumi to say more than he knows about these terrorists he so much defended and even compared them to the Niger Delta resource control agitators? Why is Gumi bigger than the law but Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been languishing in DSS underground cell and allegedly undergoing torture?” The human rights advocacy group demanded answers.”

Omokri stated: ‘Behind every successful man, there is not a woman. That proverb is a lie. Rather, behind almost every successful man, are many unsuccessful years. And if he had focused on women in those years, his present success would not have manifested. So, never think that love alone, without success, can keep a woman with you. Love alone is not enough to keep a marriage afloat. Especially where children are involved. Once a woman has a child. her umbilical love for that child is likely to be stronger than her emotional love for you. If you can’t care for that child, because of poverty, she may cheat on you with a man who will!’
