    Lawyer and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has criticised the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) for allowing a murder suspect, Chidinma Ojukwu, to take part in a beauty pageant organised for inmates on Tuesday, stressing that a prison facility should be a place of punishment and rehabilitation rather than fun.

    Ojukwu, a 300-level Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos who emerged winner of the pageantry, is being held as the prime suspect in the murder of Super TV Chief Executive Officer, Usifo Ataga, which occurred in June last year.

    “Prison is a place of punishment and rehabilitation. Once it becomes a place of fun, the purpose is defeated. How will Usifo’s family feel to see Chidinma prancing about as a beauty queen in prison? Heads should roll, except Chidinma has a prison official sugar zaddy,” Omokri said.

    However, the NCoS has now responded saying that the contest was organised as part of events to mark the International Women’s Day celebration, and was open to all female inmates whether convicted or awaiting trial.

    The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Rotimi Oladokun denied seeing the photos but told The Nation that “the female custodial facilities commemorated International Women’s Day with inmates, various inmates without distinction or discrimination against anybody”.

    Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri on Saturday, dares National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu to engage in physical exercise of jumping and footballing like the former president, Olusegun Obasanjo did in a viral video.

    Obasanjo was sighted in a video on Saturday dancing, jumping and playing football as part of activities to mark his 85th birthday.

    Reacting, Reno who had alleged that the 2023 presidential candidate is sick and unfit to lead the country, asked the former Lagos governor to imitate Obasanjo even though he is younger.

    In a post on his Facebook page, Reno said, “General Obasanjo turned 85 years old today. He ran. He played football. He scored two goals. He danced. He jumped up. He played squash.

    “He sang loudly. Then he gave an interview to reporters. Now he is receiving VIP guests and well-wishers. He did all this today. Tinubu is 69 years old. Can he do one-quarter of these?”

    Omokri was reacting to the result of the APC primary election for the forthcoming gubernatorial poll in Osun State, where Aregbesola’s candidate, Moshood Adeoti, lost his (Aregbesola) ward to Governor Gboyega Oyetola, his political rival.

    According to Omokri, a socio-political activist, if the minister fails to take action by crippling the political ambition of Tinubu, the former Lagos State Governor and Oyetola may frustrate him after President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure.

    In a post on his official Facebook page, Omokri urged Buhari’s Minister to expose the real age and other secrets Tinubu, a 2023 presidential candidate, may have been keeping from Nigerians.

    He said, “See how you have been disgraced by Tinubu and Oyetola in Osun. Now is the time for you to expose your godfather, Tinubu. Tell the world his real name, his genuine age, and the secret behind his stupendous wealth. You know those secrets. Now, spill the beans! Because if you remain silent now, Oyetola and Tinubu will only grow politically stronger.

    “And when Buhari goes in 2023, you will be naked with nobody to protect you. Imagine how miserable your life will be with Tinubu in Aso Rock and Oyetola in Osogbo.

    “They both know many secrets (remember the Opon Imo contracts and the allegations against your son, Kabiru). They will have the Police, the EFCC, and the ICPC at their beck and call. Even if you run to London, you may receive the Ibori treatment.

    “You see what I am doing to Buhari as #BuhariTormentor? Multiply that by a factor of ten. That is what they will do to you. So, better talk now, or be silenced after 2023.”

    Former media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathant, Reno Omokri has alleged that the embattled Deputy Police Commissioner, Abba Kyari was made a super-cop because of religious imbalance in Nigeria’s law enforcement agencies.

    The former presidential aide alleged that most of the law enforcement agencies in the country are headed by Northern Muslim males, sidelining the Christian religion.

    In a post on his official Facebook page, on Wednesday evening, the President Muhammadu Buhari’s major critic, alleged that there are other undiscovered Kyari’s in the system.

    He said, “There is no ethnic or religious balance in Nigeria’s law enforcement agencies, and that is why someone like DCP Abba Kyari became a super-cop.

    “The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Attorney General, IGP, EFCC Chairman, NDLEA Chairman are all Northern Muslim males.

    “Where is the balance? How is that possible in a multiethnic nation? Nepotism and tribalism made Kyari a super-cop! And do not be deceived. There are other undiscovered Kyari’s in the system”.

    A former media aide to ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has urged 2023 presidential aspirant of All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, not to sack his aide for covering his nose.

    Omokri stated this while reacting to video clips showing Tinubu looking wet after he stood up to address some of his loyalists at the palace of the Awujale of Ijebuland in Ijebu Ode.

    In the video, a man in a suit, believed to be Tinubu’s security personnel, was seen staring at the wet part of the dress while closing his nostrils.

    Reacting, Omokri, in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Sunday night, called on journalists to help identify the Tinubu’s aide who covered his nose.

    He also promised to help him secure another job if he was fired.

    Omokri tweeted: “I call on investigative journalists to help identify Tinubu’s aide who covered his nose.

    “I pledge to help him secure another job if he has been fired. Nobody deserves to be fired for covering his nose when the air has been polluted by the release of special perfume.”

    Omokri said the video vindicates his position in 2021, about religion thriving in Nigeria because of suffering.

    Stressing that the old Mummy GO he knows would have declared such an act a “worldly” behavior and a straight ticket to hellfire.

    According to him, when people relocate abroad, the things they fast and pray for in Nigeria seem so elementary.

    Reno Omokri has sent a warning to the National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to be careful of Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

    This is coming after Tinubu informed President Muhammadu Buhari of his intention to vie for the presidential ticket of the party in 2023.

    He, however, failed to comment on his position regarding Osinbajo’s candidacy for 2023.

    “I am still consulting. And I have no problem consulting. And I’ve not set a parameter of limitation to the extent of how many people I will consult. You will soon hear, all you want to hear is the categorical declaration. You have gotten that truth from me that I have informed Mr. President of my ambition, I did not expect more answers than that,” Tinubu said.

    Reacting, Reno Omokri warned that Osinbajo’s recent statements, pictures, and mannerisms are suspicious.

    According to him, the Vice President’s attempt to distance himself from Buhari is a warning for Tinubu to be very careful.

    On his Twitter page, he wrote: “With the way and manner Vice President Osinbajo is packaging himself, carefully releasing scripted subliminal messages, and releasing staged ‘un-staged’ photos, and attempting to distance himself from Buhari, one thing is VERY clear: Tinubu needs to be VERY careful.”

    The Yoruba Nation, Middle Belt; Biafran agitators; ex-aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri among other aggrieved Nigerians staged a grand protest against President Muhammadu Buhari-led government on Friday.

    The protesters also condemned the United Nations’ silence on the self-determination efforts of Nigerians was no longer golden.

    While addressing the protesters, Omokri listed some of the failures of Buhari since he assumed power.

    He asserted that Buhari is responsible for the depreciation of the naira.

    Omokri stressed that the continued loans collected by the Buhari-led government was responsible for the depreciation of the naira.

    He also talked about the killings, insecurity challenges in Nigeria.

    Meanwhile, some people also gathered themselves to stage counter-protests at the headquarters of the United Nations as President Muhammadu Buhari addressed the UN General Assembly.

    While the agitators of Yoruba Nation and Biafra continued their protests, the other group under OneNation also held theirs.

    The Yoruba Nation and Biafra agitators earlier resumed their protest at the headquarters of the United Nations before moving to the Nigerian Embassy.

    They held placards bearing various inscriptions and chanting “UN do something, your silence is killing us’, and ‘help Nigeria to save lives’ among others.

    One of the protesters, identified as TJ, said, “We want them to know what Nigeria is all about. UN needs to intervene to rescue the situation.”

    Another protester, Omo Oba added that the protest is to show that people are being oppressed in Nigeria.

    “This is for all that are oppressed, hungry on the streets of Nigeria, those who want to live a humane lifestyle,” she said.

    Meanwhile, the OneNigeria group on the other hand held placards to promote to the activities of Buhari and preaching unity in Nigeria.
