Why Buhari should replace late COAS with an Igbo man – Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to consider an Igbo military officer to replace the former Chief of Army Staff. Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, who died in the air crash last Friday, May 21.

According to Omokri, former presidential aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, the move will help cease the fight of secessionists.

”The best way to fight the rise of secessionists in the Southeast is not with guns, bullets and helicopter gunships. Give them development.

“Stop your nepotism. Be fair and balanced in your appointments. Consider an Igbo man to replace General Attahiru. Abandon the 97% versus 5% mentality. Lose your Igbophobia.

“Visit each Igbo state (Buhari has not visited Igboland since the 2019 election). Make Igbo monarchs pro-chancellors of federal universities in Northern Nigeria.

“Genuinely pursue an extra state for the Southeast in the Constitutional Reform process, so they are equal with other geopolitical zones.

“Encourage a major political party to consider an Igbo Presidential candidate. Embrace Igbos and Igbos will embrace Nigeria,” Omokri stated.

Ramadan: Reno Omokri suspends protest against Buhari

Due to the Ramadan fast, Reno Omokri has suspended his #HarassBuhariOutofLondon protest in London.

Omokri, a former presidential aide, made this known on Tuesday, following the start of the Ramadan fast.

He, however, in a statement, gave a condition that if President Muhammadu Buhari should use the period of suspension to visit his doctor in the UK, the protest would resume.

The statement reads: “Due to the Ramadan fast which began today, April 13, 2021, we have decided to temporarily suspend #HarassBuhariOutofLondon to allow General Muhammadu Buhari observe his fast in peace. We believe it is the humane thing to do, given our love for God and humanity.

“I also personally call on Omoyele Sowore’s #BuhariMustGo group, who have periodically been holding a separate protest, which is not affiliated to ours, to consider granting this concession on humanitarian grounds.

“We are closely monitoring both his residence and his doctors offices and if General Buhari makes an attempt to see his London doctors during this period, we will consider this a breach of our truce and resume the protests.

“However, as long as Buhari does not breach this, I believe we should respect the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, not because of Buhari, but because of our love for the Muslim ummah who are also victims of General Buhari’s misrule”.

VIDEO: Jonathan’s ex-aide, Reno Omokri leads another #HarassBuhariOutofLondon protest at Abuja House

Former media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri on Wednesday led another round of #HarassBuhariOutofLondon protests to the Abuja House in London.

TheNewsGuru.com, TNG reports that President Muhammadu Buhari left the shores of Nigeria for the United Kingdom (UK) on Tuesday, March 29 on a routine medical check up according to a statement by the presidency.

However, some Nigerians residents in UK would have none of that. They insisted if President Buhari had put Nigeria’s healthcare in shape, he won’t be traveling out for medical attention.

They therefore vowed to continue protesting till the president moves out of UK to go face the challenges at home headlong.

The ex-presidential aide (Omokri) is one of those spearheading the protests against President Buhari’s stay in London.

I sold rabbits to pay my law school fees — Omokri

Former Presidential spokesperson and author, Reno Omokri has shared his thoughts on poverty, adding that it’s a choice.

In a tweet he shared, Reno stated that adult poverty is a choice. He further recalled how he sold rabbits to pay his law school fees in 1998.

“In 1998, I was preparing for Law School and did not want my parents to pay my fees. I bought a male and female rabbit. The way their population increased shocked me. I sold rabbits to pay my Law School fees. Almost all adult poverty is a choice!”

TheNewsGuru recalls that Omokri had said that the Buhari led government is to be blamed for the hike in electricity tariff

“The reason Mr Fashola was able to boast about increased power generation and distribution in 2018, is because the privatized generating companies have increased their capacity,” he said.

“As you can see from the above, Lai Mohammed’s words clearly contradict Tunde Fashola’s words. Both statements cannot be right. One of them must be lying.

“The truth of the matter is that the weak link in the power sector is not the privatised power generating and distributing company, but the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), which has not been privatised, as it should have been, and which is still managed by the Buhari government.

“No matter how much the generating and distribution companies increase their output, it will not make much difference if the transmission is weak, and as long as the transmission is weak, the unit cost of power will be expensive.”

Alleged money laundering: Over 7,000 Nigerians sign petition, demand EFCC investigate Tinubu’s bullion van saga

Over ten thousand Nigerians have signed a petition calling for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate Bola Tinubu for contravening the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act of 2011, by having bullion vans ferry alleged large sums of money into his house on the eve of the 2019 Presidential election.

The petition which was opened on change.org by Reno Omokri, a former aide of President Goodluck Jonathan has attracted over 7,360 signatures as at the time TheNewsGuru (TNG) filed this report.

The brief of the petition reads: “Dear citizens of Nigeria, Let’s take our country back by signing this petition to compel the EFCC to investigate and prosecute Bola Tinubu for contravening the Money Laundering Act, by ferrying bullion vans into his house.

“Don’t say ‘na today’, or ‘leave matter’. We as Nigerians must stop confusing cynicism for wisdom. If we do not fight for our country, who will? George Floyd’s death sparked a revolution in America and we joined.

“We did not say ‘na today’, or ‘leave matter’. You and I can make a difference with this petition.#EFCCMustInvestigateTinubu”

Recall EFCC had received a similar petition asking it to investigate Tinubu, on the aforesaid money laundering allegation.

In October 2019, the foremost petition against Tinubu on the ‘bullion van’ saga was written by Concerned Nigerians. The petition was submitted and acknowledged at the reception desk of the Executive Chairman’s office.

In the wake of criticism that trailed the issue at the said time, the ousted Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, had earlier assured Nigerians the Commission would investigate Tinubu anytime it receives a petition to do so but he (Magu) never attended to the case after receiving the petition raised by Concerned Nigerians.

  • How Sowore almost ruined my family and I – Reno Omokri

How Sowore almost ruined my family and I – Reno Omokri

Sometime in 2012, it entered my heart to give back to Nigeria. I had invited some White Christian missionaries to Nigeria, in August 2012, and we visited an orphanage in Abuja, the Hope For Survival Orphanage. I was so shocked by the cramped conditions under which the children lived, that I went out and cried my heart out.

I then vowed that I would build an orphanage that would be as good as the house my children lived in America.

I started building in December 2012. I never stole a dime or did a fundraiser. I paid for this project myself, save for a $1000 contribution by my friend, Pastor Andy Cochran. I was in government for four years as a Presidential spokesman, and now I am perhaps the most vociferous critic of the General Buhari administration. Yet, nobody, not even the Buhari junta, can ever say
I stole money. My hands are clean, and I am very fulfilled that I set a record, that you can serve in government in Nigeria without stealing.

Work was slow, but I was determined. And then on Valentines Day, 2015, a few weeks to the Nigerian 2015 elections, everything came to a most abrupt halt. Why? Because Sahara Reporters wrote a story alleging that I was an armed robber, who robbed a house in Warri, Delta State, and stole money for use in the coming 2015 elections, which was to hold ‪in two weeks‬.

I was aghast! No one has ever accused me of stealing money in government, let alone with arms. I had not been to Warri in years. The last time I went there was in 2012 when I had a meeting with Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor about evangelism. I felt it had to be a mistake.

So, I wrote to Omoyele Sowore telling him he was mistaken. I gave him the facts. I showed him logs from Aso Rock, where I worked, proving that on the date and time he alleged I was robbing a house, I was in my office. I gave the names of a woman who was once an editor, who had met with me on the day in question. He ignored my mails. No response. The 2015 Nigerian Presidential election was ‪in two weeks‬, and the story made my boss, President Jonathan look bad (which was the intention of the story).

Why would you write a story like that without even verifying whether it was true or not? Both Sowore and his organisation had my contact details. Sowore has phoned me before. He knew how to reach me. How can you write such a damaging story without first reaching out to the person you are writing about? It goes against the ethics of responsible journalism, which says hear both sides, and when in doubt, leave out.

I quickly engaged a lawyer and sued the man Sahara Reporters mentioned in their story as accusing me of armed robbery. At court, the man swore to an affidavit that he never made such allegations against me to Sahara Reporters and he does not know how they arrived at their claims.

I then sent the affidavits he swore to, to Saharareporters and Omoyele Sowore and they ignored it. The traditional print media carried the story of the denial by the man cited by Sahara Reporters. Yet, both Sowore and his organisation refused to either take the story down or apologise.

I then sued Sahara Reporters in Nigeria, but they dodged service of court papers. So, I travelled to the United States and engaged two lawyers, one in New York and one in California.

I was almost financially ruined. I had difficulty paying my mortgage because of the astronomical cost of hiring a lawyer in America (they bill by the hour). I had to stop work on the orphanage project and focused entirely on fighting to clear my name. My children were too ashamed to go to school because I live in a small Christian community in California. The people in our church had read the story, and I was the subject of malicious gossip. Eventually, I had to leave the church.

I was scandalised in the community.

The lawyer in New York wrote Sowore and appealed to him to remove the story and explained to him how financially draining this case could be for both him and I. Sowore would not budge and it looked like I may have had to remortgage my house to get the funds to pay for a long legal battle.

Eventually, the lawyer in New York was able to discover that The Ford Foundation was sponsoring Saharareporters. So, he wrote to them and presented the facts to them. Then, and only then, did Sowore take the story down. He did not do this because he wanted to. He did it, only because he did not want his money threatened.

What mattered to Omoyele Sowore was not my life that he was ruining with his blackmail or my children he was scarring psychologically by falsely labelling their father as an armed robber. His singular motive was to render then President Jonathan unelectable and ensure the election of General Muhammadu Buhari, via any means necessary, including lying against innocent people. The only thing that could stop him was a threat to his income.

I thank God that on February 22, 2016, the orphanage, The Helen and Bemigho Sanctuary for Orphans, was declared open in Benin city, Edo state, by Professor Pat Utomi, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce and Arch Bishop John Praise Daniel, to the glory of God. My entire family was there. Foreign friends came. The orphanage is now giving hope to the previously hopeless. However, the orphanage could have been opened earlier, if I did not have to waste multiple millions of Naira trying to clear my name from the reckless lies told against me by Omoyele Sowore, all because, to him, all is fair in elections.

If you saw my photograph from that period, I looked like a person in the last stages of HIV/AIDS wastage. I could not eat. I could not sleep. I was traumatised. My grandparents were so affected by the blackmail against me by Sowore, that I feared it might lead to their untimely death.

My family and I would gather and cry out to God and beg Him to vindicate me. It was the most trying period of my life.

The money I wasted on this venture could have fed and educated orphans. It could have been used to do something more positive and useful to humanity than feathering the nests of already wealthy lawyers both here and in the United States.

However, mine is not an isolated case. It is a pattern or blackmail, and media Terrorism engaged in by Omoyele Sowore, using his Sahara Reporters, probably the most dishonest medium on Earth.
I know several persons he has done this to, including and not limited to Pastors, people in business, and ordinary citizens, who he has targeted for destruction to suit his political motives.

I know of a pastor who Sowore targeted because the man had prophesied the death of his political Godfather, Nasir El-Rufai, if he should sign his anti preaching Bill, The Kaduna State Religious Preaching (Regulation) Bill, into law. The pastor is in court against Sahara Reporters and has promised to expose details when the case is concluded.

Today, General Buhari, who Omoyele Sowore admitted on Camera to bringing to power, is now doing the to him what he did to others, and both Sowore and his propaganda website, Saharareporters, want to paint the picture of victims. No, they are enablers. They brought Buhari to power, and as we all know, the first person a dictator goes after, are those who brought him to power.
Sowore is a woman scorned. He expected to be given a role in Buhari’s government, like Festus Keyamo. However, he forgot that when you sell your brother, even your buyer will not trust you.

That is why it took less than 24 hours for Nnamdi Kanu to get bail. Because he is genuinely fighting for his people. However, it took months for Sowore to get bail. And he still did not make it. The judge herself later said she was “embarrassed” that despite reducing the bail conditions, no one came to bail Sowore. Who will want to bail a blackmailer? Who?

A brutal blackmailer has met his match in a brutal dictator. It is a match made in hell, and both of them should be left to reap what they have sown.

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap.”-Galatians 6:7.

  • Sanusi paying for his lies against Jonathan – Omokri

A former social media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Reno Omokri, has mocked the deposed Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, over his ordeal.

Omokri alleged that Sanusi as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria in 2014 stated that $20bn was missing from the nation’s coffers.

He said the scandal contributed to the eventual defeat of Jonathan in 2015.

In a post on Instagram, Omokri said, “Last year I said everyone who falsely accused former President Jonathan would pay for it. Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is a manipulative individual who deliberately lied against ex-President Jonathan to forestall him and facilitate the election of General Muhammadu Buhari.

“Well, he has his Buhari. Is he happy? He should find time to read Galatians 6:7-8. One by one, the God that Jonathan kneels to pray to will vindicate him.”

  • General Buhari’s Cambridge Certificate is as Nonexistent as Louis Odion’s Self Esteem, By Reno Omokri

    By Reno Omokri
It was Lord Alfred Denning who said that you cannot put something on nothing and expect it to stand. That was what flashed in my mind, when I read Louis Odion’s dribble, ‘Atiku, ambition and the endgame’, which tried to argue away General Buhari’s lack of a school leaving certificate on the basis that Mr. Buhari had attended high military courses and was a former head of state.
Idi Amin was also a former head of state. Idi Amin also went on high military courses, but just as you cannot put a crown on a clown and expect a king, you cannot also put a military course on a semiliterate and expect him to be a literate.
What Chapter VI, Part I, Section 131 of the Nigerian Constitution prescribes as minimum qualifications to qualify a person to contest for the office of President is as follows:
“They have been educated up to at least School Certificate level or its equivalent.”
A military course is not an equivalent of a School Leaving Certificate.
I understand that General Buhari only last month appointed Louis Odion as his Senior Technical Assistant on Media (whatever that means), but that should not mean that Mr. Odion should succumb to intellectual laziness in his bid to please his master.
In his attempt to accuse Waziri Atiku Abubakar of fraud, he said the Peoples Democratic Party candidate dug up an old video of Lai Mohammed and passed it off as new. That is a lie and Mr. Odion knows that. But even if it were true, and so what? What matters is not when Lie Mohammed (pun intended) said what he said. What matters is whether what he said is true or not.
If I say Louis Odion is a man. That statement remains true, irrespective of when it was made. The only thing that may arguably change its validity is if Louis Odion had a sex change surgery. I know Louis has had a conscience change surgery when General Buhari appointed him as his 10th media aide, but he still remains a man. At least, I hope so.
For the avoidance of doubt, what Lie Mohammed said is as follows:
“53 years after a fellow has left secondary school. 53 years, I think we should pardon him. Because has not even known where he kept it.”
That remains true today as it was on the day the statement was made.
And Lai Mohammed’s testimony corroborates Maj.-Gen. Paul Tarfa (rtd) evidence to the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal that the Nigerian Army neither asked for or retained the school certificates of enlisted men or recruits.
Both Mr. Mohammed and Mr. Tarfa corroborated a 2015 affidavit by the Nigerian Army that they were not in possession of then candidate Buhari’s certificate. So obviously, General Muhammadu Buhari lied under oath. He committed perjury.
If General Buhari thinks he has an attack dog in Louis Odion, I urge him to have a rethink. What he has is a little domestic kitten, who is eager to fatten up.
Mr. Odion says Mr. Abubakar is “super corrupt” and that he laundered €150 million. Even the paramilitary wing of the All Progressive Congress (AKA EFCC), has not accused Atiku Abubakar of such or anything close to such.
Yes, they brought charges against his son-in-law and lawyer, but these charges were not for laundering €150 million. The charges are laughable political motivated charges. In proof of this, I remind Nigerians of how they lied that money had been laundered to former President Obasanjo, until Babalele Abdullahi produced evidence to show that they lied and his donation went through normal banking channels.
But if Mr. Odion is so set against money laundering, why is he silent about Bola Tinubu, who was caught on camera, by drones, ferrying money to his house in bullion vans on the morning of the last Presidential elections, in contravention of the Money Laundering Act, 2011, and then went on to boast about it the next day on Channels TV?
Who is super corrupt between an Atiku, who is the most investigated politician in Nigeria, without anything being found against him, and a General Buhari, who loaded his cabinet with corruption gold medalists?
If Mr. Louis Odion says General Buhari has integrity, then I have the following questions for him:
    • Why was Goje’s ₦25 billion corruption case dropped?
    • Who owns the Ikoyi apartment billions?
    • When will @AishaMBuhari’s ADC be tried?
    • Who reinstated and double-promoted Maina?
    • When will the NNPC $25 billion scandal be investigated?
    • Where is ₦40 fuel?
    • Where is ₦1 equal to $1?
    • Where is subsidy removal?
    • Where is Boko Haram’s defeat?
    • Where is uninterrupted power?
    • Where is the promised security?
    • Where is the promised refinery?
    • Where are 3 million jobs annually?
    • Where is no foreign medical treatment?
    • Where is ‘we will not tolerate corruption?
    • Where is I belong to everybody and I belong to no one?
If you say the DEVIL is a LIAR? What would you say about General Buhari? Satan is Buhari’s apprentice in lying.
As for Louis Odion, I would not take such a person seriously. Google his 2017 article “PMB, Atiku And Illusion Of Party” https://www.thecable.ng/pmb-atiku-illusion-party.
In that piece, Louis Odion praised Atiku to the moon and back and ridiculed Buharists (as he called them). Below is an excerpt from the piece:
“Put together, the tribe of Buharists are free to continue to live in denial. Though they may be unwilling to admit it, Atiku already scored the preliminary strategic point: framing the 2019 debate within APC and baiting Buhari to declare his stand.”
Today, he is singing a different tune. Why? People like Odion are what Warri people call ‘anywhere belle face’!

  • Don’t sink into depression- Reno Omokri tells Fatoyinbo

While many Nigerians have continued to react to news of Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo stepping down indefinitely as a result of the rape allegations leveled against him by wife of Timi Dakolo, Busola Dakolo, Reno Omokri former presidential aide has urged Fatoyinbo not to sink into depression.
Omokri in his message shared on Instagram on Monday 1st of July 2019, stated that he shouldn’t feel bad because everyone is turning against him.
Reno who is the pastor of the Mind of Christ Christian Center in California said God allowed the catastrophe so Fatoyinbo can know the Judases around him.
In his words:”Dear Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo,
It is natural to ASSUME that those you helped will automatically be GRATEFUL. But learn from Moses. Moses killed an Egyptian to save his fellow Hebrew. But when a Hebrew felt he could use it against Moses, he did. Everyone is turning against you. Don’t feel bad. Let the Holy Spirit minister to you. Sometimes, God ALLOWS (but does not CAUSE) CATASTROPHE and DISASTER to befall you, so you can know the JUDASES around you.

“When you are DOWN, your JUDASES will STEP on you in order to RISE and TREND. Don’t worry. The God that is CORRECTING you is also the God that will be CONNECTING you. ‪Don’t sink into depression. Take into account the God that is for you. ODDS bow down to GOD. So let them come against you. God will use the ODDS that were meant to be against you as a stepping stone for you. Remember, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you”-Hebrews 13:5 #RenosNuggets”.

  • Poverty Statistics: Reno Omokri ridiculing Goodluck Jonathan – Group

Poverty Statistics: Reno Omokri ridiculing Goodluck Jonathan – Group

…Says Jonathan, PDP made Nigeria poverty capital of the world

A policy group in Nigeria says Reno Omokri, a former social media aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan is ridiculing the former number one citizen of Nigeria.

The Global Economic Policy Initiative, GEPIn, said it was wrong for Mr. Omokri to be peddling lies and issuing statements on behalf of President Jonathan.

President of the group, Mr. Bernard Okri said that the world will be laughing at Mr. Jonathan for trying to undo the abject poverty which he thrust Nigeria into by falsifying figures.

“Mr. Omokri has a record for impersonation, identity theft and blackmail but who would have thought that he would do it to his former boss and former President of Nigeria,” Okri quizzed.

“In an attempt to slander Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on the poverty figures that he quoted while addressing the Council of Foreign Relations in New York City he dented the reputation and goodwill of his former boss.

Okri stressed that Prof. Osinbajo was right when he said the poverty level in Nigeria as at 2010 was over 112 million, which was over 67 per cent of Nigeria’s population at the time.

Quoting the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), he said about 112 million Nigerians, which is about 67.1 per cent of the country’s total population of 167 million were living below poverty level.

He said Nigeria only became the poverty capital of the world because the Peoples Democratic Party which had been in government impoverished Nigerians and looted all the resources.

“In 2010, over 112.47 million Nigerians were living on less than a one dollar a day. The NBS data showed that 67% of Nigerians in 2010 were living in “absolute poverty” – this figure had risen from 54.7% in 2004.

He added that the NBS report revealed that Nigerians considered themselves to be getting poorer at the time. “According to the report in 2010, 93.9% of respondents felt themselves to be poor compared to 75.5% six years earlier,” Okri added.

He said it was a shame that Mr. Omokri could not do a simple Google search to confirm the statement of the Vice President before jumping on Twitter and even issuing a statement.

“This is a disgrace to President Goodluck Jonathan, he has made him the laughing stock of the world, I think he deserves better than to be dragged in the mud by Mr. Omokri. A simple Google search would have saved both of them this embarrassment,” he said.

He, however, urged Mr. Omokri to apologise to President Jonathan, Vice President Osinbajo and all Nigerians for dragging the name of the country in the mud.

“He (Omokri) has record of telling lies and he is a very fraudulent person. Nigerians still remember Wendell Simlin, the name Mr. Omokri stole in his bid to blackmail then former CBN governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, accusing him of sponsoring Boko Haram but he was busted.

“Only last week I read that he was using the name of abducted Dapchi school girl, Leah Sharibu, to make money for himself by selling shirts and a book he wrote in her name.

“He has a past and most us know that he relies heavily on this type of fraudulent activity to survive, things have not been easy for him since the PDP left government,” Mr. Okri.

He urged Nigerians never to believe or take anything Mr. Omokri says seriously. “We should engage in constructive criticism if we really want Nigeria to succeed, persons like Mr. Omokri exude bad vibes, Nigerians should not believe anything he says.”
