  • Four arrested over burglarizing Rihanna’s home

Four young men have been detained for allegedly burgling the homes of celebrities including singer Rihanna and baseball star Yasiel Puig, Los Angeles police announced on Tuesday.
Authorities declared that they believe the suspects are part of a larger ring that specializes in breaking into the homes of athletes, actors and Hollywood film producers for theft.
The home of basketball star LeBron James appeared on a list of dwelling that was seized by police and appeared to name future targets for robbery. The homes of actors Viola Davis and Matt Damon were also on the list.

The accused are three teens, two aged 19 and one 18, and the 34-year-old mother of one of them.
“During recent months, the Los Angeles Police Department has become aware of a series of residential burglaries targeting actors, producers, musicians and professional athletes living in the Los Angeles area,” Lillian Carranza, head of the LAPD commercial crimes division, told a news conference.

“The victims’ homes had been selected based on social media postings and touring or travel schedules of the owners. The burglars believed no one would be home and that the homes would contain sought-after valuables that they might be interested in,” she added.

Police who made the arrests seized purses and wallets, watches, jewelry and a gun.
Recall that the homes of celebrities such as Alanis Morissette, Nicki Minaj and Emmy Rossum have also been burglarized in over 24 months.

  • Rihanna turns relationship counsellor

Popular Barbados-born American singer says people in relationships have to be content with their partners the way they are.

The revered singer noted that most people are interested in the idea of what their partners could become, and not in the present state they met them.

Rihanna, who was recently named among TIME’s 25 most influential people on the internet, dished out some relationship nuggets tips in an interview with British Vogue

“I get a lot of boy-advice questions,” Rihanna said in the new issue of the fashion magazine.

The ‘Wild Thoughts’ singer went on to explain how people eventually get “mad disappointed” when reality fails to match up to their expectation.

“I think a lot of people meet people and then they’re dating the idea of what the person could become, and that person never shows up and then they’re just mad disappointed,” the singer said.

“A person can always get better, they can always get worse, but you’ve got to be fine with what you met them as.”

The 30-year-old singer is currently dating Hassan Jameel, a Saudi businessman.

By featuring in the magazine, the beauty entrepreneur and philanthropist has become the first black woman to cover the British Vogue’s annual September issue.

  • Confusion as producers, songwriters reportedly submit “500 Records” for Rihanna’s dancehall album

It is no longer news that Rihanna is set to unveil her anticipated dancehall album. In a chat with Vogue she noted that she and her record label are currently working on a Reggae-centric album

Rollingstone reports that the singer and her label Roc Nation have been collecting records currently reaching 500 materials all year round for the 10-track album, according to a producer they spoke to.

“[Rihanna’s team] have, no lie, 500 records for this project [from] different producers and writers,” the producer who asked to remain anonymous said.

“They’re only choosing 10 records. They’ve been having writing camps and trying to keep them quiet for almost a year and a half now. I’ve been flying to Miami, flying to L.A., cutting records nonstop for this project.”

According to a Rollingstone report, for more than a year, Rihanna and her label Roc Nation have been hunting for beats as they work to complete an album devoted to exploring the singer’s Caribbean roots, according to conversations with eight sources close to the project. In addition, two of those sources suggest that the singer is simultaneously at work on another pop-oriented album.

Producers and songwriters on the anticipated album include Dancehall producer behind Drake’s hit song Controlla, Supa Dups. However, Rolling Stone claims Supa Dups is yet to confirm his participation in the project.

The two albums will be Rihanna’s 9th and 10th albums.

Rihanna uncomfortable over Drake’s declaration of love for her

In August 2016, everyone on social media had a new couple crush when Drake got on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards and professed his love for Rihanna.

Everyone predicted that the moment seemed like the start of a relationship everyone was here for, but there was one person who didn’t feel that way.

In a recent chat with Vogue, Rihanna declares that while the world was watching and seemingly loving the moment, she actually felt quite the opposite.

“Waiting through that speech was probably the most uncomfortable part.I don’t like too many compliments; I don’t like to be put on blast.”

Part of Rihanna’s discomfort at that moment, she said, was due to the fact that on one of the biggest stages in music — receiving one of the biggest music awards — she felt like the spotlight shifted from her to him.

“The VMAs is such a fan-focused awards show, so having that energy around me, and knowing the people who had received the award in the past, made it feel like a big deal.”

As for the status of their relationship now? Rih Rih admitted, “It is what it is.”

“We don’t have a friendship now, but we’re not enemies either.”

“Rihanna tends to stay true to herself in every way. Even when she endorses a product, it’s something that you get the impression that she actually likes. Case in point, her clothing collections with River Island felt like the kinds of things that the singer would choose for herself. Being able to keep things real, even when you’re an international singing star, is sexy in a way that has nothing to do with looks.”

  • Rihanna sends snapchat stock plummeting over ‘slap Rihanna’ ad

Rihanna slammed Snapchat for running a sickening ad that asked users if they “would rather slap Rihanna or punch Chris Brown” — and sent the stock of the app’s parent company plummeting as much as 5 percent.

“Now SNAPCHAT I know you already know you ain’t my fav app out there!” the singer wrote in an Instagram outburst on Thursday. “I’d love to call this ignorance, but I know you ain’t that dumb!”

The shocking ad — which referred to Brown’s 2009 conviction for brutally assaulting Rihanna in a car — provoked disgust on social media over the weekend, with some vowing to delete Snapchat from their phones.

“This isn’t about my personal feelings, cause I don’t have much of them … but all the women, children, and men that have been victims of DV in the past and especially the ones who haven’t made it out yet … you let us down! Shame on you. Throw the whole app-oligy away.”

Chelsea Clinton, the only child of former U.S. President Bill Clinton ,weighed in on the chaos, tweeting this week that it was “Awful that any company would approve this.”

Snapchat’s parent, Snap Inc., responded Thursday by calling the ad “disgusting” and saying it “never should have appeared on our service.”

The Thursday brawl sent Snap shares down 5 percent, to $16.91 by early afternoon — their lowest levels this month. They recovered slightly to close at $17.20, down 3.6 percent.

The decline in Snap shares is the second at the hands of a celebrity in less than a month. In February, Kylie Jenner complained about the texting app’s redesign, causing the company to lose more than $1 billion in market value.
