  • I still love Rihanna-Chris Brown declares

    Many of Chris Brown’s fans were shocked when he recently declared that he still loves his estranged girlfriend, Rihanna. Before Grammy Awards night of 2009, they were lovebirds deeply in love with one another, but a physical brawl changed the rhythm of their love affair.

     

    Years after the incident, the pop star has opened up about what truly transpired between them.

    In a clip from his documentary ‘Chris Brown: Welcome to My Life,’ the vocalist said a woman he was romantically linked with was responsible for the feud between himself and Rihanna.

     

    Brown noted that he confessed to Rihanna about his romance with the unidentified woman and “she hated me. After that, I tried everything. She didn’t care; she just didn’t trust me after that.”

     

    “From there, it just went downhill because it would be fights; it would be verbal fights, physical fights as well.

     

    “I still love Rihanna, but I’m just going to be honest – we would fight each other, she would hit me, I would hit her, but it never was OK. It was always a point to where we talk about it like, ‘What the f**k are we doing.”

     

    “If I go on stage, I got a scratch on my face, and I’ve got to explain it, like ‘Oh I fell’, or if you got a scar or a bruise, you got to put make up on.”

     

    Brown revealed that he warned the woman not to attend the same events as him, but she moved toward himself and Rihanna at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy Awards party.

     

    “I made sure the person I was involved with before, I said hey, you can’t come around to these places. And the person comes in, comes right to the table and says, “Hey what’s up y’all.” And I already know it’s an issue, so I say “Hey cool” and I keep it moving.

     

    “I look over at Rihanna and she’s bawling, she’s crying. She got over it. She started drinking a little bit, we both was drinking a little bit. We was tipsy, laughing and then we left.

     

    “Like I remember she tried to kick me, just like her beating sh*t, but then I really hit her. With a closed fist, like I punched her, and it busted her lip, and when I saw it I was in shock, I was “f**k, why did I hit her like that?”

     

    “So from there she’s…spitting blood in my face, it raised me even more. It’s a real fight in the car, and we driving in the street.”

    Subsequently, Brown was arrested and pleaded guilty to one count of felony assault. He also served probation for his crime.

     

     

  • Rihanna meets Macron over funding global education

    Pop star, Rihanna has been recently advocating for funding of global education and children who are out of school. She recently met with President Emmanuel macron of France, who pledged his commitment to helping to address the challenge of 264 million children being out of school.

     

    Rihanna first was welcomed by first lady Brigitte Macron on the steps of the presidential palace in Paris.

     

    “I’ve just had the most incredible meeting with the president and the first lady”, Rihanna told reporters in the Elysee’s courtyard. “They were incredibly welcoming to us.”

     

    The popular singer, said the talks “focused on the topic of education from a global aspect.” She didn’t reveal whether Macron had made a pledge to her fund, but said she was “so inspired and impressed” with his leadership.

     

    The Macrons met Barbados-born Rihanna in her role as head and founder of the Clara Lionel charity foundation, a nonprofit organization that funds education and health programs for impoverished communities across the globe.

     

    Rihanna is also an ambassador for Global Partnership for Education and Global Citizen, two humanitarian funds with which her foundation has partnered on a multi-year initiative to support education, notably in conflict and crisis areas.

     

    “We’re going to make a very big announcement this coming September,” Rihanna said without elaborating. She added “we’re going to do even more work this October in Africa.”

    American singer, actress, Robyn Rihanna Fenty popularly called Rihanna visited a school in Lilongwe, Malawi on Thursday, Jan. 26th. The 28-year-old pop star toured the classrooms and met with the students during her charity trip on behalf of her Clara Lionel Foundation.

    She was also in the African country working as the ambassador for charities Global Citizen and the Global Partnership for Education.

    The Barbadian singer and songwriter founded CLF in 2012 in honour of her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite.
    According to her, ‘working together, I know we can amplify our efforts and ensure that millions of children gain access to education globally’.
    Through a multi-year partnership, Rihanna’s Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF), international advocacy group Global Citizen and GPE campaign work together to make sure the world’s poorest children have a chance to better themselves.
